After they reached the parking lot, Dante, Dominico and Suki got in the van. The little girl was on her phone, checking what she needed to buy to prepare the lunch boxes. She didn't want to forget anything. The two young men were talking in Italian, mostly about Dominico's future meeting for his businesses in the coming days.

There was a lot of people in the road, so it took 30 minutes to arrive to the Asian market. The van parked in front of the East entry and directly, people stared at them. Once again, they didn't have the style of those coming to that market.

Dominico: There is more people that I thought.

Suki: There was also a lot of people last time... maybe because it's the weekend.

Dante: Stay near us. I don't want to run after you in the crowd.

Dominico: It's easy to lose you here... you're a pretty small.

Suki: I will be careful... (She murmured but they heard her.) I'm not that small... they are giant...

Dante: The fact that we are tall don't change your tiny size!

Suki looked at him, not expecting that they would have heard her. The young man gave her a fake smile and nodded toward the market's main alley.

They walked slowly, to give time for the little girl to find what she was looking for. There was mainly food on the main alley so Suki asked to one of the vendor where she could find kitchen's supplies.

Suki: Excuse me Madam, I'm looking for Bento boxes, do you know where can I find it?

Vendor: Hum... let me think... probably at Kai's shop. You see that chickens' stand over there, on the right at the end of the alley, there is 4 shops and in the one with the dragon's draw on the window, you can find anything to cook.

Suki: (She bowed, politely.) Thank you so much, have a good day!

Vendor: Ouuhh... such a cutie... (She continued her work.)

Dominico: If you don't keep a close eye on her, someone would want to keep her for them...

Dante: Let them try...

Suki was walking ahead with the two young men just behind her. She noticed since they arrived the gazes and murmurs that accompanied their passage. She tried to not pay too much attention to it and smiled at most of the old women. One of them recognized her, she had quickly exchanged with the little girl last time, when she came with Gabriel.

Woman: Miss... (She made a sign to ask her to come.)... you came back to buy groceries? Ohhh, you're still so cute, your brother is not with you today? (She looked around.) Did you come alone?

Suki: Hello, Madam. Onii-san is at home... I came with my... second brother and my cousin. (The two men nodded to say Hi.)

Woman: Ohhh... two more really handsome brothers I see....

Dominico: You have good eyes for men, Madam.

Woman: It's not everyday that we have the chance to see handsome men like you, dear.

Dominico: You're too nice... what do you sell today?

Woman: My fruits are the best of the market. Do you want some?

Dominico: Sure... I'm not really familiar with some of those fruits but they look delicious. Kiddo, choose what you want.

Suki: Me... okay... Madam, can you give us some peaches, they were really delicious last time, and also some pears, please.

Dominico: You can add a bit of everything... my little cousin forgot that she has a bunch of other brothers to feed at home!

Woman: Really. Big family is pretty rare nowadays. (She put a lot of different fruits in two big bags.) Don't forget to have your brothers buy cakes for you before leaving the market. (Suki smiled.) Here. (She handed the bags to Dominico.)

Dominico: Thank you... Dante... (He nodded with a smile.)

Dante: (He frowned but took out some bills from his jacket's inner pocket.) Are you not supposed to pay, as the oldest?

Dominico: My hands are not free! (He smiled and showed the bags.)

Dante: Yeah... I see that.

Woman: I hope that the rest of your family will like it.

Suki: Thank you... have a good day!

The trio arrived at the alley where there was some permanent shops. They entered the one mentioned by the old lady and there was, effectively, everything that you could need to cook.

The shop was not that big, and Suki didn't spend too much time to find what she wanted. She took 2 Bento boxes, a black one and a pink one, chopsticks and also the utensils that will help her to create cute forms with the food.

She had put everything in a basket and looked one last time if there was something else interesting. Dante and Dominico were observing her, and her brother couldn't hide the small smile taking shape on his face. Dominico noticed it and smiled. He knew that his cousin liked to give the image of a tough guy, not showing his true feelings, but with that little girl, it came out naturally, without the young man could prevent it. She was his baby sister after all, it was normal, even if he tried to say the contrary.

And when Suki was struggling to catch a cake mold on a higher shelf, he naturally helped her but had to tease her at the same occasion.

Dante: Did you forget how small you are? The day will end before you can reach it! (He grabbed the cake mold.) That one?

Suki: (She turned herself to face him with a little frown.) Thank you.

Dante: Are you done here or do you need something else?

Suki: I think I have everything. (Dante grabbed the basket.) What...

Dante: (He put the basket on the counter.) I pay, what else?!

Suki: I still have money to pay...

Dante: And? (He stared at her.) I'm sure that my wallet is much fuller than yours. (The vendor gave him the bag and Dante paid.) What else do you need in that market?

Suki: One of two more things but it will be quick.

Dante: Hum... let's go then. (He handed the bag to Dominico.) I paid, you carry it!

Dominico: Is it too heavy for you, Dante?

Dante:Clearly!

They left the shop and Suki continued her shopping. She bought meat and some vegetables too. She saw the Bubbles teas vendor and stopped.

Suki: Dante... can I buy one last thing? It's just here. (She showed the Bubbles Teas' stall.)

Dante: (He took out money.) How much do you need?

Suki: I will pay! (She quickly left.)

Dante: Ehhh!!!

Dominico: She wants to be independent, that's good.

Dante: That's stupid!

Suki waited for her turn then she ordered her favorite Bubbles tea flavor. She took a quick look to the boys and asked for two more teas for Dante and Dominico. She was not sure if they would like it or even accept it, like Gabriel did, but she decided to buy it anyway.

The vendor prepared the drinks, and she thanked him. The boys were waiting for her near the tables for the customers.

Dante: Eh! Who told you to run like a thief?! (She shyly smiled.)

Suki: I... I bought Bubbles teas for you. I don't know if you like to drink that... so I chose a flavor that Gabriel had liked.

Dominico: (He took one and sat.) Thank you. I never tried this, but I saw a lot of café selling this, opening in Europe lately.

Dante: (He look suspiciously at the mixture.) What's this?

Suki: It's tea with milk and Tapioca pearls. It's good... really.

Dante: Hum... thanks... if I'm sick, I will know why. (They sat too.)

Dominico: (He took a sip.) There is coffee in too? That's pretty good.

Suki: Yes, for the two of you, I chose coffee flavor. (She smiled.) I'm glad that you like it, Dominico. There is a lot of different flavors, and you can have it cold or hot.

Suki had a shy and somehow sad smile while talking, and her brother noticed it. It was the same gaze that she had when she was hurt by one of their brothers' mean comment, so he wondered if it was because of his reaction to the drink she bought for him.

Dante: (He tried his drink.) Not too bad...

Suki: Really?

Dante: Hum... maybe a hot one for me... next time...

The small happy smile that appeared a second quickly let place to that sad smile once again.

Dante: What's wrong? Why are you doing that face?

Suki: Nothing...

Dante: (He stared at her.) Spit it out!

Suki: (She hesitated but his gaze was insistent.) It was something that we did together often... with Mom... and she also preferred her drink hot... it reminded me of her... that's all... sorry... (She looked down.)

Dante: Why are you sorry?!

Suki: Because... I know... what you think about my Mom...

Dante: I don't have any bad feelings toward your Mom! I know all that I need to know... and you are free to talk about her if you feel the need to, so stop doing that face! (She was still looking down.) Eh! (Dominico was observing in silence.)

Suki: I miss her... a lot...

Dante didn't know what to say to his little sister, not comfortable.

Dominico: I can't relate to your pain, but you are not alone. Uncle and your brothers are there for you... and the entire family too, even if, for now, you yet to get to know them.

Dante: Yeah, he is right... so stop with that sad face!

Dominico: You know Dante, like that, it seems more that you're scolding her than you're comforting her.

Dante: It's not that... I'm not good to take care of kids!

Suki: We should maybe go home... (She was a bit embarrassed.)

Dante: If you're done here, yeah, let's go home... shopping is tiring!

Dominico: You're lacking stamina, cousin!

Dante ignored Dominico's remark and stood up, ready to go home. Suki grabbed her drink and started to walk, the boys just behind her. She had bought everything that she needed and was impatient to go home now, because it has been a long day for her. She was not used to do shopping for so long and there was more and more people at the market. They were almost at the exit when someone bumped into the little girl. It was a teenage girl that immediately apologize.

Girl: Sorry... are you okay? I was in a rush and didn't pay attention!

Suki: Ah, yes, and you, are you hurt somewhere?!

Because of the light bump, Suki had let go of her drink that crashed on the ground. Fortunately, the plastic cup didn't break but Suki had some stains on her top. Dante quickly made a step ahead, ready to beat up that person but calmed down a little when he understood that it was unintentional, and that it was a girl only few years older than his little sister that caused that incident.

Dante: Eh... (He put his hand in Suki's back and lightly pushed the other girl.) Are you okay? (He glared at the girl.) Are you blind?!

Suki: (She grabbed his forearm.) Dante...

Girl: I'm sorry, really. (She stepped back, maybe afraid of Dante.)

Dominico: You should not run in a place full of people! (His tone was also cold, and Suki looked at him.)

Dante: (He focused his attention on Suki.) Are you sure to be fine?

Suki: Yes... (She opened her bag to take a wet tissue.)

Girl: Once again... sorry... (She quickly ran.)

Dominico: What the f... she's running again!

Suki was cleaning her clothes when she froze. Her necklace was missing. The one gifted by her Father that she cherished a lot. She looked up and her gaze stuck in her brother's one. Her expression was troubled.

Dante: What? What's wrong?

Suki: Dante... I... I lost my necklace. (Dante looked behind him, in direction where the girl was.)

Dominico: That girl was a pickpocket!

Dante: Fu**!! (He ran after her.)

Suki: Dante... (She wanted to go after him too, but Dominico grabbed her arm.) Dominico...

Dominico: You stay with me; Dante will deal with that. (He nodded and the bodyguard that was waiting near their car came.)

Bodyguard: Yes Sir?

Dominico: Go after them, quickly! (Everyone around was staring at them.) Let's wait in the car.

Suki: You think that... this girl stole my necklace?

Dominico: It's pretty obvious, get inside.

Suki: And you?

Dominico: I'm staying here, don't worry, I won't leave you alone.

Dominico smiled to reassure the little girl and after putting the bags of food in the van, he closed the door. He looked around and even if people were whispering about what just happened, they continued their way.

On Dante's side, the young man had quickly spotted the young girl running in the market. With his height, it was easy for him to follow her at distance. He slowed down his pace when she did and waited to see where she was going. She didn't even look back once, sure that her trick had worked perfectly. She turned into a small alley.

Dante followed her steps, and he saw her entering what looked like an abandoned shop. The young didn't hesitate and entered inside.

Boy: Who the hell are you?! (The girl turned herself and froze.)

Dante: Little rat, if you don't want feel a huge pain in few seconds, give me back the necklace you stole!

Boy: Fu** you!!

Dante grabbed the boy by his throat and pinned him to the wall. The teenage girl stepped back, afraid while another boy around the same age tried to help his friend. Dante kicked him, still holding the other boy, strengthening his grip.

Dante: I have no time to play with you! Last chance!

Girl: (She handed him the necklace.) Sorry... please let us go...

Dante: (He threw the boy on the ground.) Thank you...

Dante smirked and his eyes showed his devilish side. He slapped the girl without remorse and strongly punched the first boy.

Girl: Please... we're sorry... (She had fell too.)... please...

Boy: Damn... who... (He crawled back when Dante moved.)

Dante: You are useless little rats who steal people things so don't play the bad boy with me; you will regret it.

Boy 2: You have your stuff... so let us go...

Dante: You're lucky that the owner of that necklace is waiting for me otherwise I would have taken my time to kick your ass. One advice, find another playground, that market is a no go for you! Understood? (They all nodded.) Never show up in front of me again.

Dante left the old shop and found the bodyguard waiting outside. The man asked his boss if he needed to finish the job, but Dante showed mercy this time, and only because those thieves were young. He joined Suki and Dominico few minutes after chasing that girl, his cousin cut his call when he saw him.

Dominico: So, did you retrieve the little one's necklace?

Dante: Of course... that little shit couldn't escape under my nose!

Dominico: I called for backup just in case, but it seems it's useless.

Dante: Just idiots' teenagers... How is Suki doing?

Dominico: She is inside, and I think eagerly waiting for you.

Dante: (He got inside the van and sat next to her.) Yo!

Suki: Dante... (Dominico also got inside too.)

Dante: (He showed her the necklace.) That's yours, right?

Suki: Yes... (She started to cry loudly.)... Thank you... thank you Dante... I... I... thought to have... lost it...

The two cousins were surprised by Suki's reaction. They exchanged a quick gaze then Dominico nodded toward Suki, as to ask Dante to do something. The young man frowned. He was not comfortable to comfort her in front of his cousin. He sighed.

Dante: Stop crying... you've got your necklace back... so don't cry... (She continued to sob.)... Suki... (He gently made her look at him.) It's over, calm down... why are you reacting like that for a jewel?!

Suki: Because... It's a gift from Father... really precious for me...

Dante: I get it... but you didn't lose it, so relax.

Dominico: Start the car...

Dante: (He erased some tears on her cheek.) If we go home with you in that state, Nonna will kill me... so stop crying... (She wiped her eyes.)... and frankly speaking, it's weird for me... to do that... being nice and so on... (She looked at him with her shining eyes and he smirked.)... now you look like an ugly baby... with your puffy eyes...

Dominico shocked his head at his cousin changed of behavior. Suki, her stared at him with her eyes wide opened. She couldn't believe how he could be a comforting brother an instant and a mocking one a second later.

Dante: Make a stop at the nearest jewelries shop! We need to fix your precious necklace before going home otherwise you will not be able to wear it.

Suki: Thank you...

Dante: Hum... put your seatbelt and rest a little for now...

The driver understood that the nearest jewelries shop didn't mean a cheap one but the best one at the closest distance from here. He stopped the car after 15 minutes in front of a luxurious shop in a well-known streets of expensive boutiques.

A valet opened the door, and the two men got out first. The valet offered his hand to the little girl, but Dante interposed himself and helped his sister to get down of the van. There was a guard at the entry of the boutique that opened the heavy door for them. Inside, it was shining from everywhere.

Employee: Welcome dear customer, how can we help you today?

Dante: We need you to fix this. (He put the necklace on the counter.) You can do that quickly?

Employee: Let me take a look... yes, sure. (She smiled.) Please feel free to take a look at our products while I'm fixing your necklace.

Dante: Yeah... sure... Kid, no more gift to buy? (He laughed at her expression.)... I can lend you some bucks if needed.

Dominico: Do you sell nice watches?

Employee: Of course, Sir. Bruno, please can you show our watches to our customer while I'm fixing Miss' necklace.

Dominico liked to collect nice watches and often bought when travelling to New York. It was a good occasion to kill the time and add one to his collection.

Dante sat on one of the armchairs and Suki decided to look at the jewelries sold. She could maybe find a small gift for her grandmother. She didn't know when Mrs Smith had planned to leave but she was not sure to find another opportunity to buy something for her before her departure.

Everything was pretty expensive, and even if she would have preferred to be able to buy her a really nice jewel, she could maybe find something at an interesting price. She stopped in front of a simple but pretty classy pair of earrings. She checked her wallet to see how much money she had left.

Dante: What do you want to buy? (Suki startled, surprised.)

Suki: I was just looking...

Dante: (He was standing behind her, his hand on each side of her against the counter.) At what? This? It's not a style for a kid.

Suki: It's not for me... but for Nonna...

Dante: Hum... it's more her style, effectively. So? You take it?

Suki: (She was embarrassed.) I don't have enough money... next time.

Dante: My lend offer is still on the table... 5% of interest... (She looked up.) Family advantage!

Suki: Okay!

Dante was taken aback by her agreement. He was sure that she would refuse, too proud to accept. He smiled and called the vendor.

Dante: It seems that we are going to buy something.

Suki: Those earrings... can you do a nice gift package, please.

Employee: With pleasure and your necklace is fixed, please this way.

Dante: Don't forget... 5%... (He smiled and handed his black card.)
