The next day, Suki slept until 9.00am. She prepared herself, chose a cute dress going under her knees and a light pink vest. After a light breakfast, she waited Gabriel, to leave the house. Haru's home was only at 15 minutes and her eldest brother showed up just in time, wearing a more casual outfit than usually.

Gabriel: Hi, Suki. Ready to go?

Suki: Good morning, Onii-san. Yes, but did you have time to have your breakfast?

Gabriel: Yes, don't worry. 1 hour of workout, a healthy breakfast, a good shower... and now, I'm completely yours for the day!

Suki: (She smiled.) I'm happy to spend time with you...

Gabriel: Me too. Let's go! (Salvatore and Dominico arrived.)

Salvatore: Good morning, Suki. You're leaving already?

Suki: Good morning, Otô-san, Dominico. We have to pick up Haru.

Salvatore: Spend a good moment with your brother and friend. Next time, I will be the one to take you out! (She smiled brightly.)

Dominico: Uncle, you regret to have to go on that meeting with me?

Salvatore: In a way, yes. You will understand when you become a father. Well, we have to go. Gabriel, take care of our princess!

Gabriel: No need to ask!

Salvatore kissed his daughter's forehead, and the little girl blushed a little. Receiving gesture of affection in front of her brothers was still a bit embarrassing.

Suki followed Gabriel to the garage and when she was about to get in the car, Dante showed up. At Suki's surprise, he had decided to go with them.

Dante: Yo! Get on the back seat.

Suki: Hello... but why?

Dante: Because I'm too old to get on the back seat.

Gabriel: Suki, our brother wants to accompany us. It's not a problem for you, right?

Dante: Why would it be a problem?!

Suki: You want to go to an Arts gallery?

Dante: Why not?! I can do normal stuffs too!

Gabriel: Children, get in the car. (He chuckled and closed the door.)

Dante: What the... Gabriel! (Him and Suki got inside.)

Gabriel: Suki's friend is waiting for us, so fasten your seatbelt and, Dante,it's a day for the children, so adapt your behavior, please.

Gabriel looked at Suki through the mirror and winked. She smiled to him, happy that her brother always took her side.

During the ride toward Haru's house, Gabriel let a light music playing on the background. Suki texted her friend to tell him that they were arriving and when Gabriel parked the car in front of the young boy's house, he got out to greet Haru's mother.

Haru: Good morning, Mister.

Gabriel: Good morning, Haru. Please, call me Gabriel. Madam, thank you for allowing Haru to accompany Suki today.

Haru's mother: No, thank you to you for taking time to do out with the children. Haru, be a kind boy with Mr Smith.

Haru said goodbye to his mother then followed Gabriel to the car. The young man opened the backseat door for him and the young boy smiled at his friend. He sat and greeted Dante politely.

Suki: Hi, Haru.

Haru: Hello... Good morning, Mister.

Gabriel: Haru, I am sure you know is name is Dante, right?

Dante: I like the "Mister"'!

Gabriel: Haru, call him Dante... (He looked at his brother.) Don't force me to bring you back home, brother.

Dante stared at his older brother with a gaze asking if he was serious and the smile gave by Gabriel confirmed it.

It took them 20 minutes to arrive to the Arts gallery. There was already few cars parked in front of the building, but Gabriel easily found a spot. Some visitors were there just to drop children to the music academy. The two men got out; Dante opened the door for Suki while Gabriel did the same for Haru.

There was already people in the gallery but not too many. At the entry, there was a hostess and a man wearing a pretty designed outfit. He was the artist currently exposing and a couple visiting came to talk to him.

The hostess welcomed the new visitors, and she gave to the two men a flyer explaining the point of view of the artist. Dante handed the piece of paper to the young boy because he was the main reason of their presence here. Gabriel told the children to freely take a tour of the gallery.

Dante: Isn't she too much close to that guy?

Gabriel: Haru? He is a nice kid and a precious friend to our little sister. (He smiled.) I didn't know that you were having such a strong protective side regarding that matter.

Dante: (He had a serious gaze.) It's not even a question! That naïve girl will be in troubles if we don't keep an eye on her... and on those around her!

Gabriel: Suki is a smart girl, don't underestimate her.

Dante: She is maybe smart for a lot of things but not for that!

Gabriel: Dante, she is not even 12. It's not something she is interest in, so relax. We have time for this.

Dante: Hum... time flies fast.

Gabriel was amused by his brother's reaction. The two men were walking slowly, observing the paintings when the artist stopped in front of them. Dante looked at him from head to toe, wondering what he wanted.

Artist Ian: Gentlemen, welcome at my humble exhibition, I am Ian.

Gabriel: Nice to meet you and congratulations for your achievement.

Artist Ian: Thank you. If you have question about my paintings, feel free to ask. I am always happy to discuss about the process creation behind my arts.

Gabriel: In that case, you should talk with that young boy over there. He has more knowledge about Arts than us.

Artist Ian: (He looked behind him.) Really? Interesting... I will be happy to exchange with him... you are a lovely couple with lovely children. You're lucky to have been able to adopt a boy and a girl of the same age!

Dante: What the... (Gabriel put his arm in front of Dante, feeling that he might explode.)

Gabriel: You're mistaking the situation, Sir, we are not a couple but siblings with that little girl and the young boy is her friend.

Gabriel had a business smile on his face while explaining the situation. Dante, him, was not finding the misunderstanding funny. The artist was a bit confused at his mistake but kept a big smile.

Artist Ian: Oh... Sorry, you are both two handsome men, so I just jumped to an easy conclusion because of the children.

Gabriel: It's alright, don't worry.

Artist Ian: Please enjoy the visit. (He left to talk to Haru.)

Dante: Is he blind to not see that we are brothers?!

Gabriel: I guess some artists see things differently.

Dante: That all handsome guys are gays!

Gabriel: Brother, take that as a compliment. You are a handsome man for both communities, men and women.

The two brothers joined the children and the artist. Gabriel preferred to be next to them while Haru talked with that man. He put a hand in his little sister's back and she looked at him with a smile. She murmured that the man was the artist and Gabriel answered that he quickly exchanged with him already. The two brothers had to admit that the young boy was really serious in his discussion with the artist.

Artist Ian: It was a pleasure to talk with you. (He smiled.) Despite your young age, you knows pretty well about Art.

Haru: Thank you, Sir. (The artist left to talk with other visitors.)

Dante: (He read the drawing information.) Damn! That costs a lot!

Haru: It's because Ian is not a new artist but an established one.

Dante: Should we sponsor that kid to gain some bucks? (He asked to Gabriel with a smirk, while pointing at Haru.)

Gabriel: Are you volunteer to do it? Because Father already bought some of his drawings during the school festival, sure that Haru can become a great artist.

Haru was a bit embarrassed by the two brothers' conversation. Suki nodded toward another corner of the gallery, and they went there, it was quiet. Gabriel looked at them with a smile.

A bit later, the two children came back near the entry where the two brothers were waiting. They were done and ready to go home.

Haru: Thank you, Mr Gabriel. I know that you are busy, but you made time to take us here.

Suki: Yes, thank you, Onii-san.

Gabriel: You're welcome. If you enjoyed the visit, that's perfect. Should we have lunch now?

Dante: That's a good plan, I'm starving. What are we going for? Something simple or something fancy?

Gabriel: Suki, what do you want to have for lunch?

Suki: I don't know, anything is good for me.

Dante: She will never choose anything, let's go for a steakhouse. I need something heavy and tasty! Gallaghers is good for you?

Gabriel: If the children are okay with that, let's go.

Suki nodded at her brother and Haru did the same. They didn't know that restaurant, but it was typical from Gabriel, to always ask his little sister for her opinion. She appreciated that a lot.

They left the gallery and got in the car. Their destination was only few blocks away and they quickly arrived. Gabriel let his car with the valet, and they were welcomed by the manager of the establishment. The employee recognized the two brothers and didn't even ask if they had a reservation. He conducted them to one of the best table of the restaurant.

Dante: (He ordered.) We will take this, this and 2 kids' menu.

Gabriel: Hold on. Children, what do you want?

Suki: I'm good with that menu.

Haru: Me too, thank you.

Dante: You see. (He looked back at the waiter.) So, 2 kids' menu for the kids. You can add 2 soft cocktails, fruity and colorful.

Waiter: Yes, sir. Do you need wine to accompany your meat?

Gabriel: No, thank you.

Gabriel refused to drink alcohol while being out with the children. He didn't ask if Dante agreed with his decision because he knew that he would not go against him.

Even if he was shy around Suki's brothers, Haru participated to the discussion with Gabriel and Suki. Dante only intervened a little; he was waiting for the food.

When the waiter brought the drinks for the children and 2 bottles of water, Dante, as often, took a sip on his sister's glass.

Gabriel: Dante, didn't you order this for Suki?

Suki: It's okay... If Dante wants, he can have it.

Dante: I'm checking the quality... (He smiled.)

Gabriel: (He shook his head with a chuckle.) Sure...

The waiter and one of his colleagues brought the food ordered and it filled the table. As usual, the Smiths didn't look at the expense. The lunch went well, and nothing was left on the plates. Gabriel proposed a dessert to the children, but they didn't want anything else. So, he asked them if they wanted to do something or going home and play over there. The two friends exchanged a gaze and Suki nodded.

Suki: If Haru's mother agrees, he can come home?

Gabriel: Of course, Haru can come home anytime. He is your friend. You can inform your mother, and someone will drive you home later.

Suki: Thank you, Onii-san... Haru, ask your mother.

Haru: I'm going to call her. (He stood up to call her.)

Dante: You seem really happy to have him coming home.

Suki: Yes... Because we don't have so much time together at school.

Gabriel: Suki, why don't you ask more often to go out during the weekend, or ask him to visit you at home?

Suki: I don't want to bother anyone. (She confessed a bit embarrassed.)

Dante: (He stared at her.) Are you sure he is just your friend or...

Suki: (She blushed.) Haru is my best friend... my only friend...

Gabriel: Dante, don't make her uncomfortable with your questions, even more when the answer is obvious.

Suki: Yes... please...

Dante: (He chuckled.) Okay... as long as it stays like that, we're good!

Gabriel: Don't mind him. (Haru came back.) Everything is alright?

Haru: Yes, my mother thanks you again and for the lunch too.

Gabriel: (He stood up.) It's nothing. Ready to go?

Dante and Suki stood up too, then they waited outside the restaurant with Haru while Gabriel paid and exchanged few words with the owner.

The valet brought back the car, and Dante told the children to get inside. He was about to light a cigarette, but Gabriel arrived and with one look, made him understand that it was not the good time for this. The young man sighed and crushed the unused cigarette in his hand before throwing it away.

They were back at the mansion in less than 30 minutes, despite the heavy traffic. It was not Haru's first visit but seeing the guards at the entry of the propriety was always intimidating. They entered the house through the garage entry.

Suki didn't know if her other brothers will be home, but the answer came quickly when they entered the living room. 6 pairs of eyes turned to stare at them.

Davide: Did we adopt him or what? (He laughed.)

Vito: Really... What is he doing here?

Gabriel: The children are spending time together. Don't bother them.

Suki: Haru, let's go to the kitchen.

Haru followed his friend to the kitchen under the brothers' gazes. The two children had talked in their way back home and they had decided to prepare a cake to have with tea for break time.

They were checking the ingredients when Dante entered in the kitchen. He wanted a coffee. The two friends looked at him.

Suki: We are going to bake a cake...

Dante: Hum... Have fun, I just need a cup of coffee.

Suki: Ah... okay, do you want me to prepare one for you?

Dante: (He sat.) Why not. (Suki smiled, happy to be useful for her brother.) Be careful, I don't want to hear Dad or Gab yelling at me if you hurt yourself!

Suki: Yes! (She was focused on her task, with the coffee machine.) Do you want cream or sugar.

Dante: If I say cream, you will do that thing again? (She looked at him.) Do as you want... (She smiled.)

Suki: (She put the cup in front of him.) Be careful, it's hot.

Dante: Thanks...

Suki: Dante, you are going to stay here...

Dante: Why? You want to stay alone with your little... friend?

Suki: No... but we are probably going to make noise...

Dante: I just drink this, don't worry, I'm not here to watch over you.

Suki: I know... Haru, we should begin. (She smiled to her friend.)

Haru: Yes. So, you do the cake preparation, and I cut the fruits?

Suki: Yes, I want to try that recipe.

Dante took a sip of his coffee and listened to the kids' discussion. They seemed uncomfortable at first with his presence in the kitchen, but they had now completely forgotten about him. Haru was carefully cutting the different fruits in a cute shape.

When he was done with his coffee, Dante silently left the kitchen. He joined Gabriel and his three younger brothers in the living room. The eldest brother had checked on Vito's injury, but the young man said that he was fine despite the big bruise on his arm.

Gianni: So, what are the kids doing?

Dante: A cake...

Gianni: Great... the kid is good a baking cake, it's a perfect snack before work.

Dante: Are you sure that she will let you eat a piece?

Gianni: Of course! You don't know yet how she thinks? (He smiled.) She will show up with that stupid smile and offer a piece to everyone.

Gabriel: Gianni, I'm glad that you know so well your little sister but be careful with your words, please.

Gianni: Gab, you know what I mean...

Vito: Brother, are you not too overprotective with her?

Gabriel: Is it a problem if I am a bit protective with my youngest sibling?

Vito: The important word was "overprotective", not a bit protective.

Davide: Sensitive topic, Vito... be careful of your ass!

Gabriel: (He shook his head and Davide smiled.) You are childish, brothers... you both have adults' bodies but kids' mind.

Davide: Sorry to be so childish... Dad... (He laughed.) Isn't it time for you to create your own family??? When I see how you behave with that kid, I'm sure that you will love to be a father.

Gabriel: Sorry, Davide, but my personal life is nothing you should concern yourself about.

Gianni: He is not wrong; you have that father's aura... there isn't a chick that picked your interest?

Gabriel: As I said, my personal life is nothing to be discussed as a family matter... but just for your record, it is not on the agenda.

Gianni: I'm sure I can find a good girl for you.

Dante: If it's just to fu**, he knows how to find one... don't worry. Our eldest is not a nun...

Gianni: Can we talk about something else? By the way, where is Enzo?

Davide: On a date with a girl from his study group.

Vito: Good... there is something about smart girls that is intriguing... I just found out with a girl of my class.

Gabriel: Are you not in a relationship?

Vito: I'm too young to take that seriously... and don't worry, Mary is completely aware of this.

Gabriel: I don't even want to know how you think.

After a moment, Vito and Davide entered the kitchen. They wanted to drink something. Suki and Haru had done with the cake preparation, and they were watching a video on the young boy's phone. Davide snitched it while passing by.

Suki: Euh...

Davide: I hope you're not looking at 18+'s stuffs!

Suki: What... (Haru blushed at Davide's words.)... never! (Davide gave back the phone with a mocking smile.) Thank you.

Vito: What do you want? Coke? Fruits juice?

Davide: Coke is good... when is your cake ready?

Suki: In 20 minutes... you would like to eat a piece?

Davide: If you didn't put poison in it, yeah... I quite deserve it for taking you to your piano lessons twice!

Suki: Ah... Yes, sure. Thank you again... as soon as the cake is ready, we can share it all together... I mean, if everyone wants, of course.

Davide: Bring it in the living room... Gianni wants to eat a piece too.

The two brothers were ready to go back to the living room with snacks and drinks, to watch a football game when Davide's attention was attracted by heavy yells coming from the yard. He looked through the window to understand what was going on when Dante entered with a serious gaze.

Dante: Davide, take the kids upstairs!

Davide: What's going on outside? (Suki and Haru stared at Dante.)

Dante: (He saw their worried gaze.) Just idiots of workers, not happy!

Davide: You heard him, move.

Suki: But the cake is on the oven...

Davide: You said it will take at least 20 minutes to be cooked, so let's go! (The two friends stood up and left the kitchen.)

Vito: What's really going on?

Dante: Not sure, two men were spotted trying to enter the propriety by the back of the garden. Maybe a non friendly clan or thieves...

Vito: Which thieves would be stupid enough to enter here, in bright day!

Dante: (He opened the door heading to the garden.) Those who don't value their lives. Stay inside!

When Gabriel received the alert from one of the guards, he got outside with Gianni. For the eldest brother, it made no sense to have an intrusion from only 2 men in the middle of the day. He joined the head of the security, and the middle-aged man informed him that they had caught one of the guys.

Gabriel: Keep him alive and make sure to know his purpose... and find that second man, now!

Gianni: What the... Gab, look up! (There was a small drone flying around.) It's not a coincidence!

Gabriel: Clearly not. Neutralize that shit!
