"I hate it. I hate it so much." I muttered through gritted teeth, glaring at Alessandro. He chuckled and left the bar stool, an empty mug of coffee in his hand.
"Come on," He ruffled my hair on his way to the sink. "I think you look cute."
After swatting his hand away with a scoff, I glanced down at the uniforms I'm wearing.
After the worst week of my life, the long-awaited day has finally arrived.
It's the first day of school. Yay.
I haven't been to school since I was thirteen, so in order to be great juniors Alessandro decided to send me, Theo and Ares to the best tutors there are.
I never wished to be dead more than I did this week.
We studied math from morning to night, trying to at least know the basics so we wouldn't get kicked out of school.
I want to get kicked out of school.
Not only that I had to learn about triangles and other shit I'll never use, I had to put on the damn uniforms.
I'm wearing a white button down shirt and a green plaid skirt that barely reaches the middle of my thighs.
And if that's not enough, I have to put on a tie. A fucking green tie.
"I look like every rich, preppy girl there is." I grumbled, pushing down the skirt. "I'd punch me if I saw me walking down the street."
"I'd punch you too." A grouchy voice came from behind me.
Rivo stumbled into the kitchen, looking like absolute shit. He wears the same clothings as me, except for the skirt that has been replaced with black pants.
"At least try to make yourself presentable." Alessandro sighed and gave him a pointed look.
"I'll end up in detention anyway." He mumbled, but still pushed the shirt inside his pants.
Rivo made his way to one of the bar stools. On his way, he took in my appearance with a slight scoff.
"If someone hits on you, I'm breaking their bones."
I rolled my eyes and sat next to him. "I'm capable of breaking bones on my own, thank you." I reached out to grab an apple. "Where's Santo?"
"I'm here."
I snapped my head towards the living room. Santo is sitting casually on the sofa, a book in his hands.
"Since when are you here?" I widened my eyes. He's wearing the same uniforms as Rivo, but he actually looks nice.
"Since your first threat to burn your clothes." he raised his head from the book, giving me an amused smile.
I stuck my tongue out.
"Less talking more eating, you too." Alessandro pointed at Santo, making him groan. He sat next to me, putting some waffles on his plate.
Alessandro sat on the other side of the table, giving each of us a glare. "Now that everyone's here, listen to me very carefully."
I stopped chewing, looking at him confused. What did I do?
"As your eldest brother, I love all of you-" he started, but got cut off by Rivo's snort.
"But that also means I know you." Alessandro narrowed his eyes at him. "You have a tendency to get in trouble, and I need you to be on your best behavior, especially on your first day."
I smiled tightly. Be on my best behavior? That's funny. I'm forced to go to a rich school, meet annoying teenagers, and he wants me to be on my best behavior?
"I can promise to not set the school on fire." Rivo suggested, and I found myself nodding. That's reasonable.
"I'll take that." Alessandro sighed before moving his eyes away to Santo. He was eating his waffles peacefully, but froze when he saw his brother's eyes on him. "I don't know what you want from me, I'm very clearly the normal one."
Alessandro narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure? Mr. Blowing up labs?"
I stared at Santo with my mouth open. "No way."
Santo? Blowing up labs? The same santo who refuse to kill pedestrians in GTA?
He widened his eyes and shook his head. "That was an accident!"
"It happened three times, accident my ass." Rivo laughed, looking at his twin with a teasing smile. "We have the same genes."
Santo shot him a glare before looking back at Alessandro. "I promise to not blow anything up."
Soon after, we left the house. The ride was uneventful, that's until Ares sent me a message. The son of a bitch said they still haven't left the house and will probably be late.
Great. Just great.
"Look after your sister." Alessandro ordered after he parked the car. He turned around, looking at both of them in the eye.
"I can take care of myself, don't worry." I smiled reassuringly, patting his shoulder. He sighed and returned my smile. "I know."
"Yeah, don't worry. I won't let anyone make an oil out of Olive." Santo gave Alessandro a sweet smile before leaving the car, and I was hot on his tail.
"Stop making that joke! It wasn't funny the first time, and it certainly isn't funny the twentieth time." I punched his arm.
Rivo joined us, and we waved a goodbye to Alessandro before he drove off. "Let's go." Rivo pushed us towards the direction of the school, and holy shit.
There are so many people. Some sitting outside on the grass, and some going with us towards this enormous building.
Shit, and to think I went to public schools while they went to a fucking castle.
I wanted to keep gawking, but I just couldn't ignore the feeling of people's eyes on me. "Why are they staring?" I nudged Rivo, looking back at a group of girls who studied me curiously.
"As we established this morning, we don't have the best reputation." He answered, sending a wink to the girls.
They waved back with huge smiles, causing me to rolled my eyes. Am I just going to witness Rivo flirt for the entire year?
"No, you have a bad reputation. I'm doing just fine." Santo muttered.
Rivo looked at him with a raised eyebrow before turning back to me. "The point is that people know us, and now that you're here they'll know you too."
"Wonderful." I grumbled and pushed a hand through my hair. I don't want people to know me. I want to have a drama free year.
Well, except for detentions.
We entered the school building, and it's even prettier than the outside. I hate and love it at the same time.
"Okay, so this is the secretary's office. Just go and ask for your schedule and locker number. We're waiting here." Rivo said, leaning against the wall.
I looked at them surprised. "You're staying with me?" Santo ruffled my hair, a thing he likes to do to annoy me. "Yeah."
I fixed my hair and smiled, suddenly feeling confident.

After Santo and Rivo showed me where my first class is, I decided to search for my locker. I didn't know it was going to be that hard.
"Sorry." I mumbled for the hundredth time. I kept looking at the map in my hands, which caused me to bump into every single student in this school.
I'm pissed, and I'm-
I widened my eyes. Locker 407! Oh my God, I can't believe I actually found it!
With a big smile, I opened it. Okay, I can work with that. A pillow will definitely fit in here. All I need to do is smuggle it.
Uh, and my books will fit too.
After putting on the lock I received from the nice secretary, which I'm sure I'll see a lot this year, I closed it.
"Motherfucker!" I jumped, looking with wide eyes at the guy who leaned on the lockers next to me.
He's a tall brunet, and his uniforms are just a little less messy than Rivo's. He has a pearly white smile, but what caught my attention were the sunglasses he had on his face. Such a dick's move.
"Damn, I guess both of us had a heart attack." he pushed himself off the lockers, looking at me with a wide smile. "Mine stopped beating the moment I saw you."
I raised my eyebrow. Is he seriously trying to score a girl on the first day of school?
Sure, he looks good, but no. Absolutely not. That was fucking corny.
"Really?" I mused, crossing my arms. This dude looks exactly like the type of people I knew I'll meet.
"I'm Tristan." He held out his hand, but I just stared at him.
"Why are you wearing sunglasses?"
He looked surprised. "What?"
"Are you hungover? High? Do you have a black eye?" I offered, trying to think of anything that will justify that.
He laughed and tilted his head to the side. "No, I- uh,"
So he is wearing sunglasses just to master the douchebag look. Was he actually expecting me to fall for his stupid line?
I sighed and pursed my lips. "I lost interest, bye."
I moved past him, not waiting for any reaction he might have. He could've saved himself by saying that he is drunk, and then I would've probably given him a high five.
The bell rang.
Oh, come on! I have no idea where I am, and that stupid map is not helping. People began pushing each other, and I grew even more irritated.
I hate school, I hate people and I-
I got pushed at someone. "I'm so sorry." I rushed, turning around to face a beautiful girl.
"It's okay, I got pushed at you as well." she smiled nervously, and then I noticed the map in her hand.
"You're new?" I waved my map, and she chuckled. "Yeah."
"What are the chances that you're looking for class 24?" I tried, crossing my fingers behind my back. When her face lit up, I breathed in relief.
"Oh my God, at least I won't be late alone." she laughed and straightened her skirt. "What's your name?"
I chuckled and tucked my hair behind my ear. "I'm Olive."
She smiled brightly at me, showing two dimples. "Nice to meet you, Olive! I'm Nyla."
Suck it, sunglasses dude. I may not swing that way, but this is how you get a pretty girl's name.
