The group is in a worsening situation as they are all trapped at the back of the bus with a phantom blocking their escape route. Y/N tried to come up with a plan to help them, but unfortunately, they kept hitting dead ends.

"Can we open the back door?" Ashlyn asked the group while glancing back.

"It's blocked!"

Logan stuttered, shedding tears and fearing for his life, asking, "W-What do we all do?"

"We could either try going through one of the windows or–" The blonde boy interrupted Y/N's suggestion with an unnecessary comment in this type of situation.

"Die?"

Y/N was annoyed by Aiden's behavior. Everyone exclaimed in panic and annoyance, "Aiden!"

The phantom didn't wait long before lunging towards the group with its mouth open and claws out. The group screamed in horror as it rushed towards them. They closed their eyes, preparing for the worst. But then, something unexpected happened. Logan's watch suddenly beeped, and they all disappeared right before the phantom's eyes, leaving it very confused.

Upon waking up, Y/N jolted upright in bed, drenched in a cold sweat. Her body was trembling, and she had a shocked expression on her face as she gasped for air, having held her breath during the intense moment. Peering out the window, she saw that the night sky had returned to its usual appearance.

Y/N looked around and realized she was back in her room. She sighed in relief while putting a hand on her head and processing the fact that she was almost about to die.

"What a relief..." Y/N let out a sigh of relief before her phone started buzzing with texts from the others. She quickly grabbed her phone to read the messages.

LOGAN FIELDS - Everyone okay?

ASHLYN BANNER - 👍

YOU – Totally...

AIDEN CLARK - Lol, that was close.

YOU – I seriously think you need to go get therapy.

But yeah, you don't say.

TAYLOR HERNANDEZ - Physically yes.

TYLER HERNANDEZ - Mentally no.

BEN CLARK - Did anyone finish the homework?

Feeling frustrated, Y/N glanced at her incomplete assignment across the room. Fed up, she collapsed onto her bed with a groan, burying her face in a pillow. The assignment was already a mess, so what was the point of trying to finish it?

She didn't want to deal with homework, which was causing her the most stress at the moment. She had just barely survived another close call. Ignoring the text messages flooding her phone, she decided to take advantage of the little time she had left to rest.

THE NEXT MORNING

Y/N woke up to another day feeling exhausted both mentally and physically, with bags under her eyes showing the lack of sleep. Ever since she decided to join the trip, she and the others had been experiencing strange dreams that kept them in a weird dimension for hours before returning to reality. This constant cycle left them all feeling tired at the end of it.

Time in that place is very different from what Logan is used to. Because of this, Logan always sets a timer (as he is the only one with a watch) for the next seven hours to ensure he knows the correct time, since time moves differently in that other dimension.

After getting ready for the day, Y/N left the house with a tired expression. Stepping outside, the sunlight hit her eyes, causing her to squint.

Despite her dislike for the sun, she continued walking and waited for the bus to arrive. As time passed, the bus arrived and stopped directly in front of her. The door opened, and she walked on, immediately noticing Ben, Aiden, and Ashlyn. She could see how tired and miserable they looked.

"Hey N/N, got any sleep?" Aiden asked with a smile, even though he looked tired.

Y/N gave him a serious look, knowing he already had the answer to the question. In short, she didn't, none of them did.

Aiden is not someone she wants to be around for too long. He can be very annoying and often acts recklessly, lacking common sense and sounding suicidal. In short, he behaves like a crazy person, at least in her eyes.

She couldn't understand why he seemed to go out of his way to bother her. It was like he took pleasure in making her life difficult. Every time she turned around, there he was, with that smug grin on his face and those piercing red eyes locked on hers. She tried to ignore him, but it was impossible when they were in the same class together.

Despite his annoying behavior, she couldn't deny that there was something intriguing about him. Maybe it was the mystery behind those red eyes or the way his blond hair fell messily across his forehead. She found herself wondering what made him tick, what drove him to constantly push her buttons.

Y/N decided to ignore him and sat next to an empty seat next to the redhead. Her name is Ashlyn, and they have known each other for the past two weeks since meeting Ben and Aiden. Ashlyn has striking green eyes and long, beautiful ginger hair with freckles on her face. Y/N found her to be a unique individual. What sets Ashlyn apart is her special ability to hear and sense things that others cannot. Even though the group cannot hear what Ashlyn does, the things she sees in the phantom dimension prove that they all have a connection to that place.

Ben is the last person in the group. He has short brown hair and eyes that follow. He doesn't talk much, and when he does, he prefers to use a book or his phone. He usually just nods or shakes his head to communicate with the group. Despite this, both he and Y/N, mostly Y/N, try to connect with the group. However, there isn't much to talk about besides the fact that they are all in a dangerous apocalyptic dimension.

During their conversations, Ben mentioned that he loves singing, which made Y/N curious about what his voice would sound like if he spoke. She also wondered why he stopped talking and singing, but she didn't want to pry in case it was a sensitive topic. As they talked more, Y/N discovered that Ben was actually a kind person, despite what others might think based on his lack of speech. She didn't want to judge him too harshly just because he didn't talk much. However, his height, expression, and silence might give off a different impression, but Y/N knew he wasn't all bad.

Y/N found it unusual to be talking to other people after such a long time of isolation. She had only communicated with her grandparents and dad in the past. Ever since a past incident, she had avoided getting into any associated with anyone. However, everything changed when she met Aiden. Now she is dealing with the chaos that she has gotten herself into.

Y/N had only been there for a few seconds and already had a headache. However, for Aiden, it seemed like her arrival was a miracle that blessed his eyes. But for her, it was the complete opposite.

As soon as she arrived, Aiden rummaged through his bag and pulled out the homework assignment she had forgotten to do. He surprised her by showing it to her from behind, causing her to jump in shock before turning to face Aiden.

With a smile, he said, "I finished my work just in time. I already showed Ashlyn, so you don't need to worry."

Y/N looked back with surprise, then became slightly annoyed. She took a deep breath to calm herself and accepted the paper that was handed to her. Aiden smiled down at her.

"Thanks," Y/N muttered as she glanced at the answer sheet.

The bus arrived at its last stop and all the students, including Y/N, Ashlyn, Aiden, and Ben, got off and went inside the school to get to their class. When they entered the classroom, they saw their teacher, Mr. Thomas, welcoming other students at his desk. He then noticed the group by the door, looking tired and drained. They resembled zombies who had just risen from the dead.

'They're like this every morning now?' He thought, concerned for his students. 'Do they stay up all night?' He wondered, reflecting on a few weeks ago. While also remembering seeing three other students who were in a similar state. Two of them appeared to be twins, both with tan skin and brown eyes, while the other was a boy with brunette hair, glasses, and blue eyes.

BEFORE...

ASHLYN BANNER

"Good morning."

AIDEN AND BEN CLARK

"G'Morning."

'Nod'

Y/N L/N

"..."

LOGAN FIELDS

"Good morning Mr. Thomas!"

TYLER AND TAYLOR HERNANDEZ

"Morning."

"Morning!"

NOW ...

Y/N thought to herself, 'I hate this,' as she felt her body on the verge of collapsing. She was overwhelmed by everything - from the phantoms to the running in a different dimension, to the pain in her back and the mental and physical anguish she was experiencing. The stress, problems, and homework in reality only added to her struggles.

"Everyone get your homework out please..." Mr. Thomas was unsure of what to do when he received no response from the group and saw them go to their seats.

Once Y/N reached her seat, she rested her head on the desk. She was too tired to pay attention because she didn't get enough sleep last night. Every night is a struggle like this, with no one to help her except herself. It's exhausting, and she's not sure how much longer she can keep going like this.

She thought, 'I just want my life back,' before closing her eyes and falling asleep. This was her last thought before drifting off.

Class ended suddenly, with the bell ringing loudly in Y/N's ears as it reverberated throughout the school. While most students left, Y/N and a small group remained in the classroom. Startled by the noise, she realized it was time for lunch. Despite feeling like she would rather sleep than eat, she knew it was important for her mental health to have a meal. Glancing around, she noticed that others had also been sleeping in class and probably had the same idea as her.

'Another day of falling asleep in Mr. Thomas's class for the second time this week. Great job, me.' Y/N thought to herself before letting out a tired sigh. Turning back around, she realized that this situation wasn't helping anyone. 'This isn't getting us anywhere. We have to deal with this problem ASAP. Otherwise, we might end up dead because of it.' Y/N groaned and rested her head on her desk, still looking exhausted.

She was overwhelmed by all the stress and absolutely despised it. Her eyes started to droop, making it difficult to get up. It felt like a huge effort to even close her eyes for a moment before drifting off to sleep.

"Y/N, Ashlyn!" a voice called out, disrupting Y/N's peaceful nap. She felt annoyed, especially knowing who it was. Reluctantly, she got up and left the class without waiting for the others.

"We're all having lunch together," Aiden said before lowering his voice. "Y'know, to talk about "Stuff"."

"Alright..." Ashlyn replied as she thought, 'He always says 'stuff' when he means phantoms...This should go well.'

[ I had to write this on another platform since my thing keeps bugging out. That means I had to reset everything. Though luckily I managed to save some of my work. Though I will be posting some of my stories shortly. Again, sorry]
