"Master, you do not need to give up your bed." Sophie stated. "She can sleep on the floor."
"She's injured." I replied, twisting my body to crack my back. I sighed in relief, before starting to crack my fingers.
"You are as well, Master." Sophie pointed out. "You have already done enough for her."
"It's fine Sophie." I smiled. "I'll get a blanket and pillows. It'll be like a sleepover!"
"I love sleepovers." Mother Wasp smirked.
I turned around, freezing in surprise at the sight. She was leaning on the doorframe, dressed in nothing but her underwear. Her dress was in one hand, which she tossed onto the floor.
"Avert your eyes, Master." Sophie spoke from behind me, suddenly covering my eyes.
"What's wrong, little android?" Mother Wasp laughed.
"Clothe yourself. Now." Sophie demanded.
"I don't think I will." Mother Wasp smugly replied. "This is how I sleep. Speaking of which..."
She walked over, grabbing my arm and I suddenly felt it enveloped in something soft without the sight to see it.
What is going on?
"You're not sleeping on the floor. You'll be with me~" She hummed.
"Why do you assume you'll be on the bed?" Sophie replied.
"Because I already heard him agree." Mother Wasp grinned. "Come along now, my little worker wasp. Let me give you the most comfortable sleep of your life."
No, seriously, what is going on?
"You are nothing but a nuisance." Sophie stated.
"I could say the same to you." Mother Wasp replied.
I felt myself get pulled and moved around, still having Sophie's hands covering my eyes.
"Hey, where are we going-?!" I gasped as we suddenly fell backwards onto something soft.
Somehow we made it into the bed.
And now, somehow, I'm staring at the ceiling as a sleeping Mother Wasp and Sophie each take a hold of one of my arms and not allowing me to leave.
How did we get to this point?
Why am I sleeping next to a robot in a maid outfit and my boss who is in nothing but her underwear?
I am seriously questioning the events of the past few months here.
And how do people sleep like this? My arms are becoming numb from each one smothering one of them.
After what seemed like an eternity longer, my vision finally started to fade as I drifted off to sleep.
...
...
...
...
...
I groaned, slowly opening my eyes and staring at the ceiling. After a small and careful struggle I was able to remove myself from the two's holds, allowing myself to sit up and rub my eyes.
I yawned, looking around to see that it was still dark. I must've woken up in the middle of the night. I need to go...
I slowly got out of the bed, looking over to see that the both of them were still asleep. The chime of an old clock faintly rang in the distance.
I quietly walked over to the bathroom, closing the door behind me before I turned on the light. I sat down on the toilet, sighing to myself as I thought about what had happened earlier.
I'm done for.
I need to check on Gabriel tomorrow.
He knows what I truly am.
Another faint chime in the distance.
I sat in the darkness, rubbing my head in frustration. Not to mention Don Cromwell seeing me, my past has come to bite me in the ass.
Another chime.
The darkness? Didn't I turn the bathroom light on?
I looked back to the door, still closed. The light switch was off. I'm too tired, I'm losing it.
I finished, flushing the toilet and walking back to the door. I reached out to the door, before stopping. I turned to the mirror, seeing myself basked in darkness.
I walked closer, my reflection following. I stared into my green eyes, sighing once again. Come on Jason, stop looking at yourself. You need to get some more sleep.
I looked back up, only to see my reflection grinning at me.
"What-?" I gasped as the reflection shot their hand forwards and out of the mirror. It shattered as the hand gripped at my neck, before pulling me into the mirror.
I was falling through the darkness, before crashing to the ground. I slowly stood up, looking around to see something, anything.
And then I was slammed into the ground as myself appeared once more, hands grasping my throat as he choked me. He looked at me with a furious look on his face.
"Look at you!" He growled. "Enjoying life! Having fun! Did you forget your purpose?!"
"Let...go..." I grunted.
"You deserve to be lonely, you murderer!" He screamed at me. "Don't forget what you did!"
"No...stop..." I flinched.
"Because of you, I'm dead!" He yelled.
"No, no no no-!" The ground beneath us shattered and suddenly I was falling once again.
I crashed into the ground, groaning as I stood back up. I rubbed my neck, still feeling the pain from where I choked myself.
I looked around me once again, seeing that I was now in a dirty tunnel with rustic pipes and stone walls. I frowned to myself, seeing two ways that went off infinitely into the darkness.
"Isn't this fun?" A voice I hadn't heard in so long spoke right behind me.
I immediately started running without even turning back. My bare feet against the stone as I continued to run and run and run.
My breath quickened, my heart feeling like it was going to burst and my head pounding like it was being opened with a jackhammer. I was struggling to get air with each breath and I could feel myself become faint.
And then I finally made it to the end. I threw myself through the door, crashing through it and landing back into pure darkness. I looked behind me, seeing that the door and tunnel was gone.
I then turned around, seeing a white bed with a small, blonde boy laying down. I turned around, seeing if there was anything else around only to see nothing. And as I turned back to look at the boy, he was now sitting up staring straight at me.
"Gabriel...?" I slowly spoke, walking closer.
"Don't call me that." A distorted voice came from his mouth. "You aren't my brother."
"I-"
"You aren't my b̷̯̯͐r̵̢̮̙͝ȯ̷̳̦́ţ̸̨͎͎̀̀́͝h̴̢̒̓̓̽͜ẽ̵̠͓̇̕r̵̭͂!" His eyes turned black as a dark liquid started to drip down his eyes. He opened his mouth, letting out an agonizing scream.
I stumbled back, tripping and falling and-
I jerked awake with a gasp, sitting up in the bed as I gulped for air. Cold sweat rolled down my body as I was met with a dark room. I looked down, seeing Mother Wasp still asleep.
"Master?" A soft voice spoke to my side.
I turned, seeing Sophie sitting up as well and staring at me. "You were having a nightmare. Is everything alright?"
I looked down at my hands, seeing that they were shaking. I sat there for a moment, just staring at them as I took deep breaths. My hands finally calmed down as I turned back to Sophie.
"Sorry about that." I chuckled. "Been a while since I've had one of those."
"Master..." Sophie continued to stare at me with those heterochromia eyes.
"It's a common human phenomenon, don't worry about it." I smiled. "What time is it?"
"5:00 AM." Sophie answered.
"Too early." I sighed, laying back down. "I'm going back to sleep."
"Understood, Master." Sophie nodded.
I stared at the ceiling for a moment, before committing and closing my eyes. I laid there for quite a while, listening to my beating heart as I tried not to think about it.
And once again, after what felt like an eternity, I drifted off once more.
This time without a nightmare.
