(Bloodwraith POV)

I sat on top of the rooftop, grinning as I watched my dear Jason make his grand escape on that bike with my little trap having successfully stopped the cop.

Ever since that one job, the job at Wicky's where you first saw my face, you've been stuck in my mind~!

And it all started with a normal assassination job...

"I want Trevor Finkins dead." Shadow Raven slammed her fist onto the table, glaring with a furious look at the person across from her. "Set up the request as soon as possible. I don't care who does it, or that I'm paying. No one crosses me."

"U-understood!" The man nervously saluted, before quickly running out of the room in a heartbeat.

Shadow Raven sighed to herself, rubbing her head as she mumbled to herself.

Trevor Finkins, hm?

I was currently sitting at the side of the table, Shadow Raven having no idea of my presence despite the fact she just slammed the table I'm sitting at.

It's so funny that if I really wanted to I could so easily slit your throat right now. But luckily for you, no one has paid me to do it yet!

I silently stood up, stretching my limbs before strolling outside of the room. I slipped the door open, exiting with ease. It was only as the door closed behind me that Shadow Raven noticed something.

"Who's there?!" Her voice was loud enough to go through the walls.

I whistled to myself, walking down the empty hallway of Shadow Raven's base. As someone turned the corner I ceased my whistling, passing right by them without any indication that they had noticed me.

It was an easy and simple walk out of the base, which was pretty boring. It would've been soooo fun to do an epic escape, but no, people just decide to ignore me.

Don't you think you all are being rude?

I'm kidding! It's just a joke, just a joke~!

I understand why. My S-Genome sure is handy, ain't it? As long as I don't draw attention to myself I am completely invisible. In a metaphoric sense, to be exact. They can still see me, they just overlook me unless I speak or show my presence in another way.

Part of why I'm the best hitman there is here. And losers will say that's the only reason. Well, if they even knew.

But no one does, because they're all dead!

Dead, dead, dead~!

I walked onto a main road sidewalk, no one paying me any mind as I walked with the crowd. It's funny, back then eyes would be all over me because of the way I looked.

Not often you see someone with half black and half white hair, y'know? I personally think it's part of my charm~!

After my successful, super easy exit from Shadow Raven's base I scouted around a few other places, listening to things and gathering information. By the end of the day I was ready to strike.

But I decided to wait till the next day, because I was tired after a whole day of booooooooring work!

I woke up that next morning in the afternoon, slowly crawling out of my bed. As I got ready, I had no idea that this would be the day that my obsession would start.

My obsession with him~

So let's just skip the boring stuff and go straight to when it happened. A bunch of chaos was going on at Wicky's, other hitmen who were going after little Trevor fighting against his bodyguard, the bouncers, each other, and then even the heroes!

I was just sitting on the bar, kicking my legs as I watched the chaos unfold. I could just walk in there and stab the immobilized Trevor easily thanks to the dude that started everything with the gunshot, but that would risk witnesses.

And witnesses means more dead bodies to the count. And while I certainly do love slicing and slashing people and watching them bleed, even this much could pose a challenge.

And one could even escape! No no no, that's not allowed you see. I've kept not only my face but my whole appearance a secret from everyone, all while rising to the top of the ranks of hitmen.

And now I'm number one~!

Something caught my attention. Amidst all the chaos the guy who started everything, the one in the ski mask, started quickly dragging Trevor away and towards the back.

Oh, I see. This is a perfect opportunity~!

I hopped off of the bar, ignoring the scream of the bartender as he tried to alert everyone about the man dragging Trevor away. I approached the door, waiting for the man to open it. As he opened it I slipped my way through, barely managing to avoid touching anything and revealing myself.

He leaned Trevor against the wall, then started to barricade the door. I shrugged, taking the opportunity and pulling out my umbrella. I stabbed him straight through the neck, quickly ending his life and accomplishing the job. Now I just drop one of my little cards, and it'll be all over the news. Then I just grab my reward from Shadow Raven.

"Hey! I needed him alive!" A voice shouted from my right.

I pulled out the umbrella, the tip dripping blood. I glanced towards him, a grin growing on my face as I put my finger up to my lips in a shush sign.

Uh oh, a witness~

How unfortunate. Seems like I'll be seeing a little more blood today!

I lunged towards him with the umbrella, missing as he completely bent backwards to dodge it. He fell to the ground as I quickly jumped onto him, taking the opportunity to try to stab him through his skull.

Looks like I'll have to do some more washing tonight!

He grabbed the umbrella, pushing upwards with shaky arms and preventing the umbrella from going straight through his eye and then his head.

"You know, this would be a lot more fun if you weren't trying to impale me!" He yelled.

"But isn't that what makes this the most fun?" I smugly retorted.

To my surprise he suddenly pulled the umbrella down, moving his head to the side with an immediate jerk and dodging it. My umbrella stabbed into the ground, leaving him completely fine.

Before I could react he flipped us over, now sitting on top of me. Oh my, isn't this too early?

As we were in this close position a nice smell found its way to me. It only took a second for me to realize it was the man above me with the pleasant smell. My sense of smell has always been a bit stronger and it's so irritating!

But this one smells nice. Shame he has to die!

He tried to punch, only for me to dodge and his hand to land straight next to my head. I looked at him with a smirk as he nervously chuckled.

"How the tables have turned?" He uneasily spoke.

"Sorry, but I like being the dominant one." I smirked.

I kicked him off, flipping to my feet and pulling my umbrella out from the ground. I grinned at him, readying to strike only to pause as I noticed something in his hand.

Is that...

...my mask?!

I quickly realized that my mask was in fact, not on, and he was now staring straight at my completely free face.

Okay, time to die~!

Somebody suddenly slammed through the wall inbetween us, causing me to growl in frustration. No doubt it was either that robot or Stellar, and neither of those are good news.

For one, Stellar is too strong! For the second, that robot is too strong! And I don't know if my power works on robots or not.

And so I ran down the hallway, making my exit outside and climbing my way up to a neighboring roof. To think that someone would see my face and live!

Suddenly part of the roof exploded, and right after flew out the robot while carrying the man who saw my face. And then, almost immediately after, Stellar flew after them.

Well, guess I'll just have to go and kill him when he's imprisoned!

Only he didn't get imprisoned. No no no, somehow he escaped THE Stellar. Even with the badass robot that was sort of impressive.

And then I realized that my identity was in danger. Sure, he doesn't know who I am. But my appearance is sort of unique, you know?

Only for nothing to happen. I searched everywhere, listening to everything, but not only did I not see this man but I didn't hear anything about me other than talk of my most recent murder.

He didn't tell anyone about me.

And then I found myself thinking about him much more than I expected. Wondering if he could be the one. The one who can make these boring, repetitive days, interesting.

Someone who can survive ME.

An equal.

And then my thoughts started to shift to wondering what he looked like under that mask. Thoughts of masking sure I remembered exactly how he smelt during our encounter. Burning those red eyes into my mind, before wondering how I would feel if they intensely stared at me from above once again.

And then, when I took another job to kill some no-name worth none of my attention nor effort at the yearly Masquerade Ball...

Awesome theme, by the way~!

...it was then I found him again. Those red eyes that were burned into my mind, this time accompanied by nicely styled blonde hair and a handsome face.

And when I got close, he smelt the same.

Ah, it's him~!

The one who has been on my DAMN mind twenty four seven for the past week! Now this Masquerade Ball suddenly became interesting.

"May I have this dance?" I smirked at him.
