I am, in fact, alive.
And currently staring at myself in the bathroom. I sighed, rubbing my forehead and trying to rid myself of the headache that has developed within my mind.
She wants to proceed with the wedding, huh?
As if.
That's a trap if I've ever seen one. Don Clyde was standing next to Killian Stromford when they both recognized me. Then a bounty gets put on my head?
As much as I wish things could go back to how they were with Alexis...they can't.
I tried to kill her. She definitely hates me. She's definitely cunning enough to try to lure me back in with the wedding, and I have no doubt that is her plan.
I splashed water against my face, groaning to myself over past mistakes. I stripped myself of my shirt, cracking my back and trying to move my mind away from what happened.
At least I've escaped for now.
I threw the shirt onto the ground, hearing an odd sound as it connected with the floor. I looked back down at it, picking it back up. And after a quick search, I found it.
A small, metal disc attached to the shirt. It was the size of the button, and a very similar color to the shirt so it blended in. Sophie was probably too distracted with the events that had happened to properly notice.
I felt myself get lowered as the hand started to bring me back down. As I reached the ground Alexis leaned over, kissing me on the cheek as my feet hit the ground. She then slapped my back as I walked over to Sophie and stood next to the robot.
She slapped my back...
"Fuck." I cursed.
Say goodbye to free housing, Jason...
I picked it up, cursing under my breath. I quickly ran out of the bathroom and back down the stairs, where Sophie and Mother Wasp were somehow conversing without fighting.
"Master?" Sophie questioned, her eyes locking onto me.
"Oh my~" Mother Wasp grinned.
I held the device in my hand, showing it to the two of them. "Alexis placed a tracker on me." I stated. "She knows about this place. We need to move."
"Oh dear." Mother Wasp frowned. "That's not good."
Sophie stared at the device. "I should've noticed the threat. I apologize, Master."
"No Sophie, it's my fault." I sighed. "Sorry boss. If only I noticed sooner."
"It is fine, my little worker wasp." Mother Wasp replied. "Besides, I have an idea forming in my mind..."
"Which is?" I wondered.
"If she's going to come after us, then we're going to make it difficult." Mother Wasp grinned. "We're going on a date tomorrow, dearie."
"...what?" I questioned.
Okay, now you're just finding excuses to go on a date with me.
"I do not believe this is an effective response." Sophie glared at Mother Wasp.
"Think about it." Mother Wasp stated. "Based on how she was acting she's going to come after what's mine as soon as possible. If we're in public, that'll make it harder for her."
"Trying something in public is difficult when one has a public image." Mother Wasp nodded. "But if she doesn't make a move, we can lure her back to the base, where plenty of my goons will be."
"Either way, it's a difficult situation for her." Mother Wasp smirked. "And we may even piss her off as a bonus."
Damn, that's actually...kinda smart.
Though I still think this is just an excuse. And pissing her off isn't a good idea. But the rest of the plan seems pretty sound, surprisingly.
And thus, I went to sleep with Sophie snuggling me in the bed this time. She was no doubt jealous about the fact I would be going on a date with Mother Wasp, even if she didn't show it on her face.
After waking up it took a while before I could finally escape Sophie's grasp and get ready. I wore some simple pants and a simple shirt. I walked downstairs, grabbing myself a bowl to pour some cereal.
Wait...I just had an idea. What if I perform the forbidden move? The move that was told to be so dangerous that it could tear the fabric of the universe?
Fuck it, I'm doing it!
I grabbed the Lucky Charms, I grabbed the Frosted Flakes, I grabbed the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and I grabbed the Reese's Puffs. And then, with a sickening grin on my face, I poured them all into one bowl.
Followed with milk. I deviously chuckled to myself as I stared down at the concoction I had created. It has been done. Seems like the universe survives today.
Sophie watched me from the couch with a blank look. She almost seemed deadpan.
And then, I dug into my breakfast like a ravenous beast. A few minutes later and it was completely gone, like a speck of dust in the wind. I cleaned my mouth and washed the dish as the sound of footsteps came down the stairs.
I turned towards Mother Wasp, pausing as I saw her. She wore ripped jeans and a simple tucked in white shirt mostly covered by an open green jacket. She wore a necklace depicting a bee and her long, curly hair was styled on one side, covering her eyepatch and going over her shoulder.
"How do I look, dearie?" She smiled.
"You look great, boss." I nodded.
"Nope, none of that." She wagged her finger at me. She approached me, tipping the bottom of my face upwards and towards her. "On this date, you will be calling me Aurelia."
"Yes ma'am." I replied.
"What did I just say?" She teasingly smirked, booping me on the nose. "Oh, and after today, whenever we aren't on the job I expect you to continue to call me Aurelia. Just like how you call the overgrown toaster Sophie."
"I am much better than a toaster." Sophie stated.
"But can you make a grilled cheese?" Mother Wasp smugly replied.
"Yes, I can." Sophie stated. "The recipe is in my database."
"Anyways, we should start with our date before the Cromwell girl starts knocking on our door." Mother Wasp-ahem, Aurelia, stated.
I nodded at her, before looking towards Sophie. "Can I count on you to keep an eye from a distance?"
I'm sorry Sophie, I'll make it up to you later. Somehow.
"Yes, Master." Sophie nodded. "It is my job to protect you."
"Thank you." I smiled.
Aurelia and I exited the house, Sophie following a little after from a decent distance. I let her lead the way, having no idea what she had planned for us.
Because I just know she'll be treating this as an actual date until Alexis appears. And that's if she does actually appear.
Maybe she isn't even planning on coming after us today and this is all for nothing. Well, still won't be a loss to Aurelia I suppose.
Though I can already feel a glare on my back, and I can only hope that it is Sophie and not someone else...
The first place in the city that Aurelia took me to was a movie. Didn't really seem like the best place when expecting someone to come after you, but I got dragged there anyways.
We got two tickets to Final Hour, an action romance movie about a boss and her henchman that fall in love with each other.
Wow, surprise surprise, I wonder why?
You're not slick Aurelia.
Though you are slick in the way that you intertwined your hand with mine as we watched the movie. I was trying to grab some popcorn when our hands "coincidentally" bumped and mine was promptly taken hostage.
She gave my hand a light squeeze. I looked over, seeing as she blew me a kiss. I looked back at the movie, trying to keep a blush from coming to my face as I saw her smugly smirk to herself from the corner of my vision.
After the movie she then proceeded to take us to an arcade of all places. She paid for tokens for the both of us, and once again I feel she is truly trying to become my sugar momma.
Then again, I do love free stuff. So who am I to argue?
We played a couple of games, one being blasting zombies, another being skee-ball, and another being wack a mole. Aurelia was surprisingly good at all of them.
And then she took me to the infamous punching bag. She smirked at me as she input a token. She stepped back, cracked her fingers, then her neck, and then proceeded to wind her fist backwards.
She thrust it forwards for a powerful punch, sending the score flying upwards. I watched as the numbers continued to increase, and increase, and increase even more before hitting 870.
"Damn." I muttered.
Aurelia shook her hand with a grin as she looked at me. "Proud, dearie?"
"Very." I replied.
A light blush came on her face as she smugly smirked, nodding to herself. We continued to play games at the arcade for a little while longer, accruing a small amount of tickets. Afterwards we were only able to exchange them for a ring pop, which Aurelia had me present to her.
Luckily without getting on one knee. She said she would wait until the real thing for that. And I am once again confused by her. Does she want to be my mom or my wife?
Crazy ladies may be hot, but they are confusing. That's a warning for all of y'all, readers.
And then she brought me to my next destination. And as I approached it, a sense of dread washed over me as the glare on my back became even worse.
Not the clothing store! Please, anything but that!
And in no time I found myself waiting outside of the changing room as Aurelia was trying on clothes. Of course, the canon event for any "boyfriend". I should've known!
The door to the changing room finally opened, revealing Aurelia in a-
A swimsuit?! Not what I was expecting!
She wore a black and yellow striped bikini with black bottoms that emphasized her rear end. She turned around for me, grinning as I found myself staring at her muscled body.
Shit, she's a muscle mommy.
What? Don't look at me like that. You can't blame me. I'll admit it, my boss is damn hot.
I just won't say it aloud, for who knows how Sophie will take it...
"Well? How do I look, desire?" She grinned.
"Amazing, babe." I replied, getting into my role.
Aurelia turned towards the side, her face covered in red. I think she finally realized how much skin she was showing as she quickly shut the door, starting to change into a different outfit.
"...you really mean it?" Aurelia asked.
"Of course." I replied.
"You're not just saying it for..." Aurelia trailed off, but I knew what she meant.
"No, I seriously mean it." I confirmed.
"...okay." Aurelia spoke. "Even with the eyepatch?"
"The eyepatch makes you look badass." I stated.
She was silent for a moment, before I finally heard a chuckle. "Heh. You're right, dearie. What am I being all shy for? Wait right there, I'll knock your underwear off with this next one."
Uh, isn't the phrase supposed to be knock the socks off?
I continued to wait outside of the door, walking around in a small circle to ease my boredom. And then, suddenly, a hand shot from behind and grasped itself around my mouth. I was pulled into the open changing room behind me, now face to face with a familiar assassin.
Bloodwraith looked at me with a smirk, bringing her hand up to make a shush symbol against her mouth. She then leaned in, her hot breath tickling my ear as she whispered.
"You smell just as good as I remember, love." She quietly spoke, sniffing into my neck.
"Hello there..." I awkwardly greeted.
"I can't believe you'd tease me by going on a date with another woman, after I had professed my love." She continued. "Didn't I say you were mine now?"
She looked at me with a grin, before suddenly her face darkened as she stared into my soul with her gray irises. Never before had I seen such a serious face from her, and it sent shivers down my spine.
Not the good kind, to clarify.
"So why have you decided to cheat on me, love?" She dangerously whispered.
"I don't remember us being together..." I nervously replied.
"Did I not make myself clear enough the last time?" She wondered. "You. Are. Mine."
"No he's not, bitch." Another voice suddenly stated from behind me. I froze in terror as I recognized the voice. Her hand shot over my shoulder, pointing a pistol at Bloodwraith's head. "You should've locked the door."
"If it isn't the Cromwell." Bloodwraith smirked. "Go on, shoot me. Commit a crime in public daylight. See if I care."
"You won't be caring because you'll be dead." Alexis replied. "You don't get to touch what's mine."
The two of them scooted closer, leaving me literally and physically stuck inbetween the two of them as their bodies pressed into me.
"Can we, uh...not do this with me right here?" I wondered.
"No." They both declared at once.
"Oh, I will touch him. And I already have~" Bloodwraith then chuckled. "It's a shame the mark has already faded."
"Big deal, you marked him." I could hear the eye roll in her tone. "But I bet you never made out with him."
"You...what?" Bloodwraith's face turned serious again. "Care to repeat that~?"
"You heard me." Alexis replied. "Now if you'd just back off from my fiancé, then we can settle this peacefully."
"FIANCÉ?!" Bloodwraith screeched.
"Yes. This one, is mine." Alexis smirked, placing a kiss on my neck.
"You're going to wish I simply murdered you." Bloodwraith darkly replied.
"Ladies, ladies..." The door swung open as Aurelia was standing there.
You didn't lock it either Alexis!
"...get your bodies off of my henchman." She ordered, cracking her knuckles with a scary smile.
A dangerous aura overtook all three of the girls as I was now completely surrounded. And now I can't help but think to myself, what did I do in my past life to deserve this?
Why?!
