I sat at the table across from Alexis, a chess board inbetween us. Eleanor sat inbetween us, watching as we played. Sophie was currently cooking food while Aurelia was pacing with a hand to her chin.

To explain what happened from last chapter, no, I did not escape the snuggles for the whole day. I was stuck there until I was finally released the next day.

And now, it's been a month.

Alexis and Eleanor have integrated themselves into this house. One of them is literally an assassin that could easily kill all of us, so not much that can be done there. She does pay rent though.

Now I feel like a freeloader...

As for Alexis, she did literally become the landlord. Which led to her making a deal with Aurelia. Aurelia doesn't need to pay rent as long as Alexis is allowed to live here. So funnily enough, Eleanor is the only one actually paying rent.

So now I've been living with four gorgeous women. A robot maid, a villain for a boss, a goth assassin, and a landlord mobster.

What sort of slice of life comedy is this?

Somehow I've managed to survive the four so far, which has been a difficult battle. If I make any moves on one of them, the others will kill me. If I let any of them make a major move on me, then they'll kill me.

Damned if I do and damned if I don't, basically.

But hey, free housing. Can't complain.

"What's up, boss?" I questioned as I moved one of the chess pieces. Alexis quickly moved one of hers, only for me to quickly move another of mine. She hummed, crossing her legs as she narrowed her eyes at the board.

"It may be time for our next job." Aurelia stated, crossing her arms. "It's been a month, we've made some connections, and it's time to continue the fight against Stromford. You two will be joining, yes?"

"I'm in as long as I get paid." Eleanor grinned. "So yeah, let's kick their asses!"

"Since when have you been so hyped?" I wondered.

"Since I realized it's also your goal, love~" Eleanor seductively looked at me.

"Quiet, you." Alexis sighed, moving a piece. I moved another one of my pieces right after, making her groan. "Anyways, the Cromwells are no longer making deals with Stromford."

"For one, I wouldn't want to work with someone my beloved is against." Alexis replied. "And second, my mother and father did not take too kindly to the news about the I-Genome project. We do a lot of illegal things, but human experimentation is not a line we cross."

Alexis moved another piece. I moved one after, causing her to go into thinking once more as she intently stared at the board. Eleanor had stopped watching the game, instead electing to stare at my face continuously.

"I knew you'd help." Aurelia smirked. "After all, my precious henchman is in on the plan."

"Well, you are the one who pays me." I replied.

"And I will now too, beloved~" Alexis smirked as she moved another piece.

Praise the existence of sugar mommas!

I moved another piece. "So what's the job?"

"A little bee told me some important information." Aurelia stated. "In a few days Stromford is going to transfer some equipment and such from the South Stromford Facility to outside the city."

She grinned, leaning forwards. "We're going to intercept it. Our main goal here is to either destroy or loot whatever is inside. And we're going to make a scene doing it. Remember my grand plan, Jason?"

"Wasn't it to get people to start questioning Stromford?" I replied, countering Alexis' move.

"Exactly." Aurelia ruffled my hair. "You're so smart, my dearie."

Thank you, sugar momma....

Eleanor reached out, placing her hand on my head. She stared at me intently, before starting to rub her hand through my hair.

"I could get used to this..." I heard her mutter.

"Anyways, it is time we finally return." Aurelia declared. "It's been too long since our last job against Stromford. It's time to remind the public that we're after Stromford. And after few jobs, when people start to question, then we shall leak the information."

"So we need to ambush the car, then?" I questioned.

"Yes." Aurelia nodded. "I should be able to track it with my bees and give constant updates. We'll set up an ambush, taking over the car."

"What's the escape plan?" Alexis questioned.

"I've been looking into a few things, making a few deals in the Underground, and now I have a new trick up my sleeve." Aurelia smirked. "Paralyzing poison I'll coat on the stingers of my hivemind. A single sting should last long enough for us to escape."

"Sounds good to me~!" Eleanor winked at me. "I've gotta make my love proud after all~!"

"You sure?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "Isn't your whole appearance supposed to be a whole secret?"

"I've cared less about that since you found out babe." Eleanor smirked. She stood up, cupping my face leaning close to me. "It doesn't matter because I'll do anything for you~"

"You're a little close there." Alexis growled. "Watch yourself."

Eleanor sent a smirk towards Alexis, before quickly kissing my cheek. She giggled as she dodged Aurelia, jumping over her and landing elegantly on her feet.

"I'll be going to get myself a new mask, thank you~!" Eleanor grinned. "I'll be back soon, my love! Don't miss me too much~!"

And with that Eleanor skipped her way out of the door. "Alright then..." I sweatdropped, moving another chess piece.

"I'm going to strangle that woman..." Alexis muttered, before moving her piece. "But that does remind me, I'm going to need my own costume. Can't be doing such explicit crime and giving my family more pressure."

"Won't they recognize your spectral hand?" I wondered, making another move.

"Silly Jason." Alexis smirked. "The only people that know are allies or dead men."

"Right..." I sweatdropped once more.

"I'll also need to think of a good name." Alexis moved another piece as she leaned back. "You should also get a better outfit too."

"Huh? Why would I need to?" I questioned. "I'm just a grunt."

"As if." Aurelia smirked, wrapping her arms around me.

"You..." Alexis raised an eyebrow at me.

"I get that Stellar called me her archnemesis and all but who knows what runs through her head." I replied, moving another piece. "She should call Sophie her archnemesis. That's more accurate."

"...how much do you use the internet, beloved?" Alexis asked.

"Not much. Usually just television." I shrugged. "Why...? You're worrying me Alexis. Why?"

"No reason." Alexis replied, making another move on the board. "No reason at all."

You know what, I don't want to know. It'll save me from a headache.

"Get off of Master." Sophie ordered, pulling Aurelia off of me. She then placed down a plate of food in front of me. "Dinner for everyone is done."

"Thank you Sophie..." I smiled, tears running down my eyes. "...for this good food."

"Do you have to have that much of a reaction..?" Alexis grumbled.

"Alexis, respectfully, you are never being put on cooking duty again." I replied. "You don't just burn water. I'm pretty sure that's scientifically impossible."

"I just need some practice..." Alexis mumbled, moving another piece.

"Uh huh, sure." I smirked, moving my final move. "By the way, that's checkmate."

"What?!" Alexis exclaimed as Sophie placed a plate in front of her. She stared at the chess board with wide eyes before groaning as she leaned back. "Damn it..."

"Still the reigning champion." I winked, pretending to blow smoke off of my finger gun. "Hey Sophie, could you turn the television on?"

"Of course, Master." Sophie nodded, clad in her maid outfit as always. At this point I think she somehow got multiple because it looks clean every day. And I'm pretty sure there should be a bullet hole or two by now.

She walked over, grabbing the remote and turning it onto my favorite information gathering channel of all, Super Live.

"-has been stopped by Frostbolt." The announcer spoke. "In other news, the two newest superheroes, Prototype and Isolation, have taken down another villain by the name of Tech Wizard."

"Right, those two..." I commented to myself, seeing as a picture of two girls appeared. One of them was blonde with a side ponytail and a green star under one of her green eyes. The other had sharp purple eyes and long black hair. "They could be a problem. They're new and seem strong. How much do we actually know about their powers?"

"If I remember right, Prototype has some sort of power gauntlets while Isolation can materialize weapons out of the air." Alexis replied. "And they're often fighting together."

"I'll do some research, see what I can find before the day." Aurelia nodded. "But I'm sure you'll be fine, dearie. After all, you've evaded Stellar a many of times."

"Yeah, that credit goes to Sophie." I chuckled. "Or else I would be long in prison."

I leaned back, staring up at the ceiling, the news having made me start to think about heroes.

Foxfire.

Stellar.

I'm definitely going to be running into one of the two with my luck, aren't I? But with Alexis and Eleanor, it should hopefully go a lot smoother than last time when I got chucked into a building.

And then had to deal with that stupid voice.

Luckily he's been fault quiet since then.

You should stop playing around.

Another month passes.

Still no progress.

And I fucking jinxed it. I didn't call for you, you know? Go back into silence asshole.

If you don't, then I will.

What are you even-

I don't care. Just shut up.

God damnit, shouldn't have thought anything.

"Thank you for the food." Alexis stated, finishing her plate and putting it away. "I suppose I should go start getting stuff ready-"

"That is all of our major news for the moment." The announcer continued. "However, in more fun and light hearted news, today the newest blowing up comic, Crime-Man, has released Issue #4 today."

"That's right!" Alexis exclaimed. "I need to go pick up the delivery from home! I'll be back in a little bit!"

Alexis rushed out of the door, now leaving just Aurelia, Sophie, and I in the house.

"Crime-Man, huh?" I wondered. "A new comic series? I might have to see if I can borrow that from Alexis."

"Don't worry about that right now..." Aurelia whispered into my ear as she wrapped her arms around my body and pressed her chest into me from behind. "...now that they're gone, we can have some fun~"

Ah, shit.

"I will not allow that." Sophie spoke from behind us, before yanking Aurelia off of me.

"You're just jealous." Aurelia smugly replied.

The two started to bicker as I finished my food. I placed my plate away, before sneaking past the two as they continued to go back and forth.

I am quite sure the day I have "fun" is going to be the day I die, so let's just hold off for now...

And I should get my stuff ready for the next job as well. I know that even if I didn't do the jobs, I could still support Gabriel thanks to Aurelia and Alexis. They'd probably help anyways.

I don't really like that, getting such money for free. But that's not the only reason. I have a personal stake in this too, now. If Killian recognizes me...

You know what that means.

Unfortunately, yes.

It means that he's probably connected to him.

Which means I'm gonna fucking murder him.
