"I missed you so much, love~!" Bloodwraith skipped down the hallway as I followed her in a light jog. "It may have only been a few hours but that was much too long to be separated from you!"

"It was horrible!" Bloodwraith sighed. "Being without you was impossible. No no no, I don't think I could live without you again. I need you, Jason, my love. I simply cannot survive with a lack of Jason! Speaking of which, I need to recharge~!"

She suddenly turned around and sprung herself towards me, smushing her face into my chest as she tightly wrapped her arms around me. She took a deep sniff, sighing in blissfulness as she kept herself there.

She let go, only to then push me towards the wall. My back hit it as Bloodwraith followed, slamming both of her hands past my head and onto the wall. She stared me in the eyes as she licked her lips.

"You know..." She spoke, moving herself closer and pushing herself against me. "...it's just you and me, all alone right now. And the others are having so much fun trashing this place. Why don't we have some fun of our own~?"

"Another time, miss queen of hearts." I smirked. "I'd prefer to get out of here as soon as possible after destroying the place."

Bloodwraith stared me in the eyes. "You know what? Fuck it."

She grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, pulling me forwards and slamming her lips into mine. She held me tightly, not letting me escape as she continued to steal my lips.

She finally separated after a good minute, wiping her mouth with a grin on her face. "God, you are addicting, love~"

And with that she turned and started to skip down the hallway once more, whistling to herself as she twirled her umbrella.

I don't exactly know what you're awakening to right now mini Jason, but it's not the time

I followed Bloodwraith, surprisingly not running into many people. Eventually we turned the corner to three guards rushing towards us.

Bloodwraith grinned, dashing forwards and immediately stabbing a guard through the neck with her umbrella. Before the others could open fire she chucked the dead body at one and flipped over the other.

The other quickly whirled around, only for Bloodwraith to nail him in the nuts with her foot. He keeled over, allowing for a quick slice from Bloodwraith's umbrella to leave him decapitated.

The final guard shakily brought the gun up, pointing at her. She grinned at him, chuckling as she glanced towards me. I strolled behind the man, before tapping him on the shoulder.

"Boo." I grinned.

He jumped, becoming distracted and allowing for Bloodwraith to stab him straight through the neck from behind. He dropped to the ground, gargling on his own blood.

I looked back towards Bloodwraith, seeing her look at me with lovestruck eyes and blood splattered across her outfit.

No seriously, what are you reacting to mini-me?

She just murdered three guys.

Stunningly done, but that's beside the point.

You know what, let's just move on. I can do questioning when I'm not currently inside of Vincent's lair.

Bloodwraith and I continued down the hallway, only to pause as the building shook for a moment. I glanced towards Bloodwraith, who simply shrugged.

"It's probably Sophie fighting against those two 'heroes'." Bloodwraith stated.

"Is she alright?" I questioned.

"Oh, she'll be fine." Bloodwraith grinned. "You haven't seen her new upgrades yet."

We continued to run down the hallways, finally reaching some stairs. As soon as we got in front of them to start descending to the ground floor of this building the surroundings seemed to get darker.

"Is it just me or...?" I questioned, looking as the shadows seemed to slowly spread across the room.

"Oh fuck." Bloodwraith gasped.

"It's been a while." A new voice suddenly spoke.

We turned around and my eyes connected with a man I had only saw for the first time earlier today. The one whose arrival luckily stopped my torture, though that wasn't his intention.

Nightshade.

"Okay, don't do that." I pointed at him. "This ain't a horror story."

"You were the last person I expected to see here..." Nightshade spoke. "...sister."

"Buddy, did you forget your medicine?" I questioned, crossing my arms. "I'm not your sis."

Bloodwraith grabbed my sleeve with her hand, looking at Nightshade with a surprisingly serious look across her gray eyes.

"Brother." Bloodwraith calmly spoke. "And here I never thought I'd see you again."

Oh, that makes much more sense.

"Unlike you, I've actually been staying hidden." Nightshade replied. "And this time, I'll actually kill you."

"I wouldn't advise that, brother." Bloodwraith stated. "You wouldn't want to lose your other nipple, now would you?"

Nightshade took a step forwards. Bloodwraith's grip on my sleeve became even tighter.

Okay, I don't have a clue what's happening but I'm feeling like I should step in. And I also feel like my right leg is now glowing. And would you look at that, it is!

"Look, I'm sorry about your nipple and everything..." I stepped forwards. "...but this here is a dear partner of mine so I'd advise you back off. Unless you wanna tango with me."

Nightshade looked at me. "You barely even have powers, thanks to that damn scientist. You and your glowing leg aren't a threat."

The glow around my leg has slowly increased in intensity.

"You wanna let me kick you and test that out?" I smirked.

Nightshade frowned, before suddenly pausing. "Where is she?"

"I dunno." I grinned. "You know how her power works, don't you?"

"Fuck!" He exclaimed, suddenly swiveling around and looking all directions for an attack. But while he was so preoccupied with locating Bloodwraith he had his back just perfectly turned.

Come on, I can't resist the temptation!

I got close and slammed my glowing foot into the back of his body, sending him flying with a white flash as the glow dissipated around my leg. He crashed through the wall, landing down and melting into the shadows.

I stared at the shadows, before giving them a middle finger. Slowly they started to recede back to normal, clearly from my absolute display of power with my finger.

"I think he's gone." I spoke aloud. "You uh, you good?"

"I'm good." Bloodwraith suddenly spoke, alerting me to her presence. Her presence of standing literally right next to me without me noticing. "Thank you, love."

"Not a problem." I replied as the building shook once more. "Let's get out of here. Clearly this place has brought up some bad memories for the both of us."

"Oh, that sounds lovely." Bloodwraith sighed, leaning her head onto my shoulder. "Let's go meet with the others, love."

We quickly descended down the stairs, making our way to the first floor. Bloodwraith took the lead as I followed her. As I continued to follow her the sound of more and more chaos in the distance got louder. I have a feeling we're getting closer to the where the others are.

We burst through the doors at the end of the hallway, revealing a huge, destroyed area that was once the entrance to this place. Multiple dead guard bodies littered the ground, and some chaos was occurring over to the side opposite of the entrance doors. Phantom and Mother Wasp stood by the doors, immediately noticing us.

"Jason!" They both cried out at once.

Bloodwraith and I ran over. Mother Wasp and Phantom immediately grabbed me, squishing me inbetween them as they tightly hung onto me. As they let go I looked over in the distance, seeing what was currently going on.

Sophie was going toe to toe with both Prototype and Isolation, holding up extremely well against the two. In fact, I think she's actually winning!

"We were helping but now we'd just get in the way." Phantom commented. "So now we're just letting the robot sisters duke it out."

"Yeah! Go Sophie!" I cheered.

Sophie suddenly grabbed Isolation by the head, chucking her towards Prototype who had tried to strike from behind. The two crashed to the ground as Sophie turned towards us. And then she started flying at extreme speeds.

"Sophie, wait-!" I cried out as she rammed into me, sending us through the doors and outside of the building. I crashed to the ground, Sophie sitting above me as she stared down at me.

"Master." Sophie cupped my face in her hands. "I apologize. I failed you. I let you get captured."

"It's fine, Sophie." I smiled. "After all, look at me! I'm back."

Sophie continued to stare at me, before moving in and capturing my lips. We stayed like that for a good moment, three jealous glares piercing my skin from behind Sophie.

Sophie released the kiss, standing up and pulling me up to my feet. And then she promptly sweeped my legs out from under me, catching me in a princess carry.

"They escaped." Mother Wasp noted, looking back into the building. "I think it's time."

"Agreed." Phantom nodded.

She walked over to a singular car parked outside of the building, driving it into the building. She parked it in there, before coming back out with a grin and a remote in her hand.

"We should start running." She smirked.

"Oh shit-!" I gasped as she pressed the button. Sophie started to float in the air, her jetpack and feet rockets coming to life. As she started to move higher three thick cords shot out from under the jetpack, one which each other the others grabbed onto.

She flew up into the sky, supporting four whole people as we floated above the lab in the mountains. I wish Vincent is still in that damn building so he gets blown to smithereens, but I doubt he'll go down that easily.

Doesn't matter. Despite everything that I just went through, this is definitely a win.

And then a huge explosion rocked the lab building. It started to crumble, falling in on itself as we watched from above.

Damn that's satisfying.

"Are those cables new?" I wondered.

"I have multiple upgrades, Master." Sophie stated. "I will explain them later."

We quickly flew away from the burning and collapsing lab building in the mountains and back to Champion City. Once we got back into the city we went by on foot as to not draw any patrolling heroes upon us as we simply tried to get back to Aurelia's house.

After a little bit of walking we finally made it and boy was I wiped. We entered the house, where I immediately flopped onto the couch. I sighed in relief, glancing over to see the four girls standing in front of me.

"Jason..." Aurelia spoke. She held an uncertain look, and I knew why. They wanted to know, but they didn't want to push me away.

I looked at all four of them.

Sophie. Aurelia. Eleanor. Alexis.

I've never told anyone about my past before.

But yeah. I can trust them.

I can tell them.

I sighed, sitting up and intertwining my fingers. My heart was pounding, and I couldn't lie and say I wasn't worried. But I have to tell them.

"I guess it's time I finally tell you guys..." I spoke. "...my own past."
