(Alexis POV)
Stellar stood above me, hands raised and ready to end my life. She stared down at me with a cold and distant gaze as her fists descended.
For a moment, she was replaced with Jason, above me and with a knife stabbed through my hand as he tried to slam it into my skull. And his face...it was just like her's.
She wore that same expression he had back then.
Stellar was before me once more, her hands flying down upon me. Just like my spectral hand, I was about to be-
I gasped awake, staring at the ceiling. A loud and obnoxious noise rang in the back of my head while the front half of it painfully throbbed. I faintly noticed the ice pack which laid upon my head and the blanket that covered me up.
Fuck, I can hardly think...
I rubbed my temples, vainly trying to get rid of the horrendous headache which assaulted me. My whole body felt sluggish and slow, and I had barely even moved yet.
I...
I thought my spectral hand was invincible.
But she went and ripped it in half.
What's happening to me? I don't feel any better than I did yesterday.
"Hey, you're up." A voice greeted. Jason stood there in front of me. "Anything I can get you?"
"Water..." My voice came out hoarsely as I realized just how dry my throat was.
Jason nodded, walking out of my view towards what I assume is the kitchen.
My lips were cracked and the roof of my mouth was annoying itchy. My throat seemed to painfully constrict with each breath I took, my body slightly shuddering.
I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling, the knowledge my current location failing for a moment. And then I remembered, we're at Siren's house, aren't we?
"Let me help you get up." Jason's voice entered my ear as I felt myself get lifted up. He sat down next to me, supporting me as I slowly sat up.
He handed me the glass of water, my hands clammy and shaky as I held the drink. All of the sudden the water felt more appealing than it ever had before. It was only a moment until I had downed the whole glass of water.
My throat loosened, no longer feeling so constricted as it just had. But my mind was still a mess, a jumbled collection of thoughts being thrown around by the pain my body felt.
I felt myself sink, leaning into Jason. The empty cup slipped from my fingers, only for Jason to luckily catch it. He said something but my brain couldn't register what it was as I felt my vision darkening and my body weakening.
And then once more I was greeted to darkness.
It hadn't even felt like a minute until my eyes were open again. The ringing was still in my ears and the oppressive headache still haunted my senses. Once more I felt like shit, even more so since whatever amount of sleep I had just gotten felt like absolutely nothing.
I stared at the ceiling, laying my head on the pillow that had somehow appeared inbetween my times of being awake. And then I suddenly realized there were people sitting in the living room.
Or more accurately to say, it was Siren surrounded by the other girls. They seemed engaged in whatever she was telling them, while Jason was nowhere to be found.
I also could've sworn I saw an odd tension between Aurelia and Siren, but at this point I think I'm starting to hallucinate.
I mean, after all, I'm seeing my spectral hand floating above me. I weakly pulled my hand up, trying to grab it, only for hand to pass straight through. After a blink it had completely vanished as if it was never there and I was sure that I was going crazy.
"She's awake." Someone stated, and everyone was suddenly surrounding me. I tried to give a weak smile, only for it to fall flat as my face couldn't support its weight.
I despise being this weak. It goes against everything I've ever been taught and told.
"Someone get Jason-" I could've sworn someone else say.
Someone slowly pushed me up, leaning me against the back of the couch so that I was sitting up. Their faces were blurry as my eyes unfocused and I couldn't tell who was doing what.
I'm starting to think it's getting worse.
"Alexis." A voice entered my ears.
"Alexis." The voice repeated. "Focus on me."
In the center of my vision Jason appeared, his face surrounded by a cloudy haze that was the rest of the world.
"I learned my regenerative power works on others as well." Jason stated, staring me in the eyes. "But I don't know what effect it'll have due to the nature of your injury. Do you want to try it?"
It took a moment for his words to register within my mind.
"It's your choice." He smiled.
Ah, your smile...
So beautiful.
"Mhm." I muttered. "Yes..."
Jason moved something in front of my vision. It took a moment for me to focus in on what it was, but then I realized it was a vial of red liquid that looked suspiciously close to-
Oh, it probably is blood.
Jason uncapped the lid for me. I stared down at the blood, realizing that I was meant to drink it. Jason's blood was about to go into my body.
What am I...Eleanor...?
I brought the vial up to my lips and took all of it in one drink. It surprisingly didn't taste that bad, but I think that's more of my senses being jumbled than anything else.
"Jason..." I murmured, my vision getting woozy once again.
I could feel myself being slowly let back down onto the pillow, and this time it felt as if I was being placed down upon clouds.
As my eyes closed I felt like I was drifting through a vast sky with nothing more than the peaceful wind blowing across my face.
My body relaxed as a warmth spread throughout it, from my chest to my fingertips and toes. My head felt clearer than it had in the past agonizing hours, a relief flooding over me.
I'm not sure how long I slept for, but it felt like as if I was in that heaven for ages. But I wasn't complaining, it was a thankful release from the unyielding ache I had been experiencing.
And then my eyes opened, crusty and unpretty, but without the aching from the light. My head, while it still had a dull pain there, was nothing close to before. And my ears had finally stopped ringing.
My body, while feeling tired and exhausted, wasn't quite sluggish as it was before. I slowly pulled myself up with my own strength, clenching my hands and realizing the clamminess was gone.
"You're awake again. How're you feeling?" A voice came from my side.
Eleanor stood there, hand on hip as she stared at me.
"...better. Much better." I admitted. "Where's everyone else?"
"Shopping." Eleanor grunted. "I was last place in Old Maid and got the duty of watching you instead of being with Jason. DAMN that Sophie..."
Eleanor sulked, crossing her arms as she sat down on a chair and tried to sink within it. "And mom didn't even participate, saying she was exempt as the mother. Unfair!"
"Mom...?" I questioned.
"That's what Siren's making us call her." Eleanor stated. "Though Aurelia adamantly refuses to. I think she's formed a rival with mom..."
"The hell did I miss?" I questioned. "How long has it been?"
"A good day and a half." Eleanor stated. "Jason's been worried sick cause you haven't woken up since yesterday at around the same time when he gave you his blood."
"A day, huh...?" I murmured. I looked over at Eleanor, who continued to sink into her chair from boredom. "...thank you."
"Huh?" Eleanor cocked an eyebrow at me.
"For protecting me." I stated. "You got in the way of Stellar for me."
"Well..." Eleanor looked away for a moment. "...it's cause you're Jason's ally, and therefore my ally. And allies help each other."
I felt a small chuckle escape from my lips.
"What?" She narrowed her eyes.
"No, seriously, thank you." I smiled. "I'll treat you to dinner sometime."
"I'm not into those fancy dinner places you mafia people go to." Eleanor stuck her tongue out.
"Oh, you'd be surprised." I smirked. "I got a place in mind I think you'll really like."
"Oh, really?" Eleanor fiercely grinned. "I guess we'll find out."
The door to the house opened, chatter coming through as everyone else walked in. Siren, Sophie, Aurelia, Hikari, and Jason.
Jason looked up, his eyes widening as they connected with mine. I gave him a smile and a small wave.
He immediately tossed the bag in his hands to Sophie who effortlessly caught it. He rushed forwards, immediately wrapping me into a tight hug.
I wrapped my arms back around him, sinking into his warmth as he held me close to him. Well, until someone decided to pull him away after we didn't separate quick enough.
"Are you okay?" He asked, a genuine worry in his eyes.
"Yeah, I am." I smiled. "I'm feeling much better now."
"Thank goodness." Jason sighed in relief, wiping away a bead of sweat. "Almost thought I killed you."
"Wouldn't be the first time." I teased.
"Okay, now you're going for the neck." Jason playfully gasped. "Since when were you so ruthless?"
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Fair point." Jason smirked.
"HEY! Stop flirting right in front of me!" Eleanor shot to her feet. "Actually, stop flirting altogether!"
"For once, I agree with Eleanor here." Hikari added.
"FOR ONCE?!" Eleanor exclaimed.
I felt a snort escape from my lips, before I was full on laughing. I couldn't stop myself, wiping the tears away that came from my laughter.
How nice.
"All right girls, let's all get along." Siren widely smiled with a clap. "Help me out the groceries away. Then I'll go ahead and make some lunch for everyone."
The rest of the day passed by quickly. Lunch and dinner passed by and I was slowly feeling better and better than I already was. By the time night came, I practically felt as good as normal.
Except for when I tried to summon my spectral hand. A sharp pain would ring across my head whenever I tried, and I wasn't sure how to fix that. Or if it even could be fixed, to be honest.
And honestly? That frightens me.
I shook the thoughts away as I entered my designated guest room with Hikari. We played a game to decide rooms (Siren and Jason excluded, the former keeping her room and the latter getting Miracle's old room).
That left Sophie, Aurelia, Eleanor, Hikari, and I for the final two rooms. I was able to be one of the top two, only having to room with Hikari.
I slipped into my bed after getting ready, sinking myself into the covers. I felt my body relax as I stared at the ceiling, events from earlier playing through my mind.
I hugged my knees to my body, my mind lingering across one moment. Jason's body against mine, his warmth invading my frame as he tightly held me against himself.
I wanted more. It was addicting.
I wasn't exactly sure why, but I was burning this night.
When Hikari had fallen asleep I snuck out of our room, creeping silently into the hallway. As I exited the room my eyes connected with Sophie, who was also exiting her room.
I walked over to her, staring her in the eyes.
"Don't think I don't know that had your fun back then." I stated. "But tonight I'm making him mine."
Sophie continued to stare into my eyes with an oppressive gaze, but I refused to back down.
When it came to Jason, my beloved...
He made me feel like I could do anything.
He made my weakness feel like strength.
Sophie continued to stare into my eyes, before finally she spoke. "As long as Master agrees. And this does not mean I approve of you."
"You don't approve of anyone." I countered.
"Because he is my Master." Sophie stated. "But I can tell he does love you. I will give you tonight. Do not expect any further courtesy."
"I wouldn't think otherwise." I smirked.
Sophie stayed silent, staring at my face for a good minute before speaking again. "Sometimes, you remind me too much of Master."
And with that she entered the room again. Excuse me, the hell is that supposed to mean?
Eh, who cares?
I quietly knocked on Jason's door, hoping it was enough for him to hear. The door creaked open after a few seconds, revealing Jason as he opened the door.
"Alexis? Everything okay?" He asked with a worried look.
"No..." I whispered, my face heating up as I saw him. I pushed him into the room, moving myself after him and closing the door behind us. I quickly locked it, before facing Jason once more.
"Jason. I love you." I stated, getting close to him.
Jason's face burned red as he looked to the side, his ears becoming just as red. He looked back at me, opening his mouth.
"Alexis, I...I'm kind of already, maybe-?" He started with an uncertain tone.
"Sophie, right?" I shrugged. "Don't think we don't know what you two did when she kidnapped you from your room."
Jason's blush only furthered.
God, you're so fucking adorable.
I love you so, so, much. More than you could ever imagine, Jason. You are my everything.
And I'd do anything to have you.
Even share, albeit reluctantly.
But tonight is mine and mine alone.
"Sophie's already given her permission." I stated, strutting further and trailing a finger up his chest to his chin. "So say it, Jason. Say it."
He stared down into my eyes with his own, intoxicating red ones. "I love you." He admitted.
"How long I've waited for those words." I couldn't stop the smile from my face as I lunged forwards, capturing his lips in a kiss. I wrapped my arms around him, pulling him as close as I could as I continued to make out with him.
We separated, a blush coming to my own face as I stared at Jason.
There was a heat within me that night.
And I was positively burning with love.
You're mine tonight, Jason~
