A loud bang rang from my pistol as a bullet sped out, but still long enough for him to dodge as he dashed at me.

I fired the pistol multiple more times, only for him to somehow deflect each and every single one of the bullets with those mechanical spider-like legs behind him.

I dodged out of the way as he leaped at me, landing right where I just was.

"Master?" Sophie's voice called out in the distance.

"Oh, there's a second little victim?" He grinned, an unsettling feeling washing over me.

"Stay at it!" I ordered, yelling back to Sophie. "I'll hold him off!"

The creepy spider guy giggled. "Little one-"

"Shut up, at least I don't have a lame-ass name like Flycatcher." I interrupted.

Seriously, you could've done much better!

Like, Tarantula! Arachnophobia! Black Widow-

Shit, never mind, you aren't an awesome redhead assassin.

Daddy long legs-

I never suggested that.

My interruption seemed to tick him off as he let out a low growl, lunging at me once more. I dodged the attack, bringing my pistol to whip him in the face with it.

He caught my wrist with a surprising strength, before chucking me against a wall. I slammed into it, immediately feeling the pain in my back.

"Ow, I'll be feeling that tomorrow." I groaned.

"Flycatcher will teach the arrogant one a lesson!" He screeched, leaping towards me on all fours.

"What the hell-?!" I rolled to the side as his mechanical spider leg stabbed straight through the wall. I watched as he slowly turned towards me, a sharp edge coming out of the end of each mechanical spider leg.

You gotta be kidding me.

I backed up as his mechanical spider legs swiped at me, doing my best to dodge them. I hissed as one scratched my shoulder, leaving a tear in my clothes and a thin red line on my skin.

I quickly flipped on the safety, before reeling the gun back and chucking it at his face. My unique move took him off guard, allowing the gun to perfectly hit him square in the face. He stumbled backwards as my pistol clattered to the floor.

I cracked my knuckles, taking a step forwards and sending a fist across his face. He stumbled back, but his mechanical spider legs went to action and swiped towards me, forcing me to step backwards.

"You bitch!" He growled, leaping towards me.

"Someone has a short temper!" I grinned, rolling under him and starting to run.

"Arrogant one cannot escape!" He shouted, quickly turning around and running after me.

Don't mind me, just going to grab this fallen chair here!

He dashed towards me, sending a mechanical spider leg forwards. I threw the chair up, the spider leg piercing straight through it but not far enough to hit me.

He growled in frustration, piecing another spider leg through the chair only for the same result to occur.

You aren't the brightest, are you?

I threw the chair down, taking his spider legs with it and opening his face up for another punch to the face. His face rocked to the side, only for it to almost immediately turn back towards me as a dangerous feeling washed over my body.

He brought the spider arms stuck in the chair up, making me jump out of the way as he slammed them against the ground. The chair broke, flying off of his arms and freeing him.

He dashed towards me, bringing a spider arm stabbing once again. I dodged the arm, only for him to a suddenly send an uppercut straight into my stomach.

I grunted, trying to regain myself. I barely dodged his next strike, another scratch through my clothes. And then the next spider leg moved differently than I expect, stabbing straight into my thigh.

I clenched my teeth as he grabbed my head with one hand and my arm with his other, forcing them away from each other and trying to expose my neck. I watched as he opened his mouth, revealing two fangs.

No vampire bullshit today!

I reached down to my pocket, pulling out my one other weapon I brought with me. Flicking open the switchblade, I swung up and stabbed it into his shoulder.

He cried in pain, releasing me and stumbling backwards. His mechanical spider leg exited my thigh, causing me to clutch it as I tried to stop the bleeding as much as I could.

He pulled the knife out of his shoulder, throwing it away. I backed up, wincing as I moved my leg. Looks like I won't be able to dodge as well.

I glanced behind me, seeing the large windows which covered the whole wall and showed a whole side of Champion City.

I have an idea.

I continued to stumble backwards, until my back hit the cool glass. Sweat rolled down my face as I stared at Flycatcher-

Pft. Sorry, not the time.

-trying not to give anything away.

"Little arrogant one is trapped, helpless." He chuckled as he creepily walked towards me. "He will praise me this time!"

He lunged towards me once again as I expected. I waited for him to get close, before suddenly dropping my whole body and slumping against the floor. He passed over me, crashing through the window from the sheer force.

I grinned to myself as I watched him fly over the edge, before suddenly feeling a pull on the back of my hoodie. I was yanked outside of the window, Flycatcher sticking to the side of the building by using the mechanical spider legs.

He swung me over him, slamming me through the window of the floor below. I crashed into the floor, rolling across the empty room as glass stung at my skin.

I groaned to myself, slowly pulling myself up as Flycatcher brought himself through the newly made hole in the side of the building's window.

Well, that didn't go to plan.

"Tsk tsk, little arrogant one..." He chuckled, slowly walking towards me. "...your time is up~."

And then, as I glanced behind him, I felt myself smirk.

"You're talking about the wrong person." I grinned.

He paused for a moment, not realizing that behind him, floating in the air outside the building, was my partner in crime, Sophie.

He turned around, only for a fist to slam into his face. He was sent flying, tumbling past me and crashing into the wall, dazed.

I limped towards her as Sophie quickly approached.

"Are you okay, Master?" Sophie asked.

"I'm fine." I chuckled, before wincing. "Were you worried?"

"I do not have emotions, Master." Sophie simply replied.

"Anyways, let's move." I replied, glancing at the still dazed Flycatcher. "Can you carry me again?"

"Yes, Master." Sophie nodded. The maid outfit clad robot picked me up, holding me once again in a princess carry. She jumped out of the building, the jets on her back and her feet activating once again.

We flew through the air, the cold air stinging at my various open wounds. Yep, I can vouch, pain is not fun.

As we flew through the air, I thought about the event which had just occurred. I have never heard of a hero named Flycatcher. Nor did he act much like a hero, either.

Meaning that Killian Stromford has a superpowered individual probably not connected to the Hero Administration.

There is a lot more than just fishy about this.

"Did you get everything?" I asked.

Sophie shook her head. "I was able to download 76% of the files before I was interrupted."

"Interrupted?" I questioned. "By what?"

"A bee." Sophie answered. "It grabbed my attention and led me to you, Master."

Oh shit.
