Celebrations were spread across Anga as they have know got the most finest and beautiful woman in Aryavart as their queen.
The streets of Anga were filled with joy and happiness. A soft and elegant smell of flowers filled those streets. A number of kings, queens, princes and princesses had arrived to witness Karna's and Arshia's wedding.
But Karna's heart craved only his parents. While everyone was inside, having their feast,Karna stood near the entrance of his palace waiting for his parents. His marriage was tomorrow and his parents were still not in the palace.
Arshia had noticed Karna's absence and had roamed around the entire palace, failing to find him. While she was roaming around the halls, she noticed Karna looking out the gate.
Karna turned around hearing the jingling sounds of her anklets. When he made eye contact with her,he smiled trying not to show his worried face.
"Don't act,not in front of me at least. You have to spend your entire life with me...are you going to lie forever?"
Karna shook his head.
"Then?"
"I am waiting for my parents. T-they aren't here yet"
"They won't leave you alone,Angraj. They didn't then and they won't now. So,why tense?"
Karna absent-mindedly nodded.
"Radheya"
A elderly woman called out as Karna turned out,a bright and happy smile on his face. He walked towards the woman, touched her feet and hugged her. His father, with a stoned expression, hugged his son.
Arshia could see the hesitation in that hug and it saddened her.. knowing she shared a similar kind of relationship with her own father.
Radha, Karna's mother, was gazing at Arshia thinking if she was her future daughter-in-law.
She walked to Radha and bent down seeking her blessings. Seeing Karna had moved beside his mother, she sought Adhiratha's,Karna's father, blessings when he suddenly stepped behind.
It felt as if the world had froze. Arshia couldn't come up and stand straight. The thoughts of Karna's father not accepting her was slowly killing her.
"Putri, you already have my blessings. You don't need to bend down and seek them."
Arshia stood up,an enchanted smile on her face. Adhiratha opened his arms as Arshia slowly hugged him. She had thought it would be awkward but when he hugged her,a sense of belongingness filled her heart.
"Maa and Pitashree, you two shall proceed. It must have been a tiring journey for you"
Adhiratha softly caressed Arshia's hair and followed Radha inside the palace.
The guards closed the gates of the Anga palace.
Feeling a sense of confidence washed over him,Karna wrapped his strong arms around Arshia, who was following his parents.
She held back a scream.
"W-what the—"
"Shhh...you don't want my parents turning and viewing us like this,do you?"
Arshia shook her head.
From the corner of her eyes, she could see the guards holding back their smiles.
"A-angraj,ma-maybe n-not h-here. The gu-guards"
"Am I that intimidating that you can't even speak properly,Arshia?" He huskily whispered.
She didn't know what her reaction should be. Before this they had exchanged a maximum of 7-8 words which included good night and good morning. Never were they this close to each other, leave that...over the 3 days she couldn't even remember when she was alone with him.
His sudden boost of confidence startled her but at the same time she was relieved that they could get comfortable with each other but then being this close to him in front of the guards and them not being married until tomorrow didn't settle right in her.
"Angraj, please" Arshia said hovering her hands over his. She hesitated but then softly grabbed his hands and tried to remove it from her bare waist.
"You might be a mistress in weapons and might have built yourself strong but you can't remove this arm from your waist,Kumari" he pulled her closer,if that's even possible, and moved his thumb finger up and down against her bare waist, occasionally hitting her waist chain.
Shivers ran down her spines as she shivered under his touch. Her grip on his hands loosened and know it was just simply resting on his hands.
Meanwhile,Karna enjoyed the influence he had on Arshia. He likes the way she shivered, the way her eyes closed at his touch and how her hands rested on his. Inhaling her vanilla scent,he stopped moving his thumb and loosened his grip on her waist. He released her and walked away. Mid-way he turns around and winked at her, turning front a smirk appeared on his face, his soon to be wife's vulnerable state flashing in front of his eyes.
Feeling restless because of the absence of his warm touch, his husky voice and his manly scent, she wrapped her arm around her waist,a deep red colour splattered on her face.
"Sakhi? What happened? Why are you so...red?" Arshia turned to her left to see Krishna with a fake worried expression.
"Govind...what are you doing here? Weren't you in the castle, eating your meal?"
"I won't have my lunch forever, sakhi. I went to feed the cows, don't tell your soon to be husband that I fed the cows..." Krishna said over-dramatically.
Hearing the word soon-to-be husband, the deep shade of red returned back on her face as she gripped her waist tighter.
Krishna couldn't help but laugh. He walked closer to her and bent down, whispering in his ever so lovely tone
"Why are you so flustered on even the slightest mention of him?did something happen?"
Krishna stood straight,a smirk on his face. He,too, then went inside. With each step he walked further,Arshia could sense his mocking-ness.
She shook her head and stood upright.
"You are not a teenager,Arshia. For hell's sake you are about to get married! Don't act like this"
Arshia mentally scolded herself and went inside the castle, her vulnerable state almost completely disappearing.
. . .
It was the first time Karna's parents were here,in the Anga palace. So,Karna had decided to give them a tour so they have an idea where what is,or else they always have the servants and guards to guide them.
Now,his parents were walking aimlessly in the halls of the castle, amazed by the beauty of the palace. They had Karna and Arshia just behind them.
"What is this,Radheya?" Radha asked in interest.
"Oh mata that is..."
As the thing was on the opposite side,he had to cross Arshia to go near his mother. He brushed his hands against her waist which was covered with a light and thin cloth.
She,once again, felt her spine shiver and her legs almost giving up on her. She looked at Karna and saw a smirk was almost appearing on his face.
"Two can play this game"
She thought.
"Let's proceed." Adhiratha said as Radha obeyed and walked forwards.
"This is your chamber" Karna said, pointing at a huge door. Upon opening it,Radha's mouth fell open at how big and beautifully decorated the room was. She walked into the room along with her husband, who had a similar reaction.
Arshia and Karna let them explore the room as they stood at a dark corner. An idea clicked Arshia's head. The outcome could either be incredibly in her favour or could completely go wrong.
Making sure his parents won't notice them,Arshia gently pushes him against a wall. She set her hands on both sides of his broad shoulders and tip-toed,her mouth near his ears.
She whispered
"Two can play this game,Angraj and I am not fond of losing"
She has planned that she would be doing this and he would have been so shocked that within the time he had realised what he had done, she would run away. But that didn't seem to be the case.
His strong and muscular arm made their way around her waist and pulled her closer. His lips slightly hovering over hers,he spoke
"I like that you are getting confident and claim that you could win this but Angrani...you can't win over Angraj..."
"Putri Arshia,edhar ana!"
(Putri Arshia,come here!)
She heard her mother-in-law call out. She slightly pushed Karna and made her way to Radha.
He turned to his mother's and soon-to-be wife's direction as a gentle and relaxing smile made way on his face.
. .
Karna was determined to make Arshia admit that she lost in the 'little game' they were playing but Arshia stood her ground, not showing any reactions to his constant skin ship. Not that she had a problem with the skin ship but they had his parents around and if they would have caught them...
Although Arshia made no move nor showed reaction, her body iched to make a move or show a reaction but satisfying his ego was not in her plan...
"It's such a beautiful palace,putra."
Radha complimented.
"We would like to rest, see you later" Radha said caressing Karna's cheek. He happily smiled back and bid them goodbye.
.
After they had left,Karna turned to Arshia, his genuine smile turning into an annoying smirk. He started to walk closer to Arshia but then
"Arshia?Sakhi Arshia!"
She turned her head to find Krishna looking everywhere for her. As his gaze fell on the two,he internally smirked at how close the two were.
"You don't mind me stealing Arshia for a moment,do you?Me and my siblings would want to spend some time together with her....I hope I wasn't distu—"
"Absolutely not,Govind! You were not. I will come with you. (Turning to Karna) Pranipat"
And the duo walked away.
"Give me a gift for saving you back there...or you would have fainted from being too flustered"
