Arshia POV

It's unbelievable how one event can change how you live. From that day onwards,me and him have grown a lot closer. His constant checkups after that night warmed my heart, him talking me through the events of his day sparks unknown flames in me and whenever we come closer and something romantic melts my mind. It feels as if my mind has melted and has been shaped how he wants it to be.

But what made me fearful as each day passed,I knew we were getting closer to Krishnaa's swamyvam and there,it will all start. The world's most deadly war will begin. I have said this over a thousand times but when I entered this era,I had never thought how I would face the great war. I still don't know if I will be a part of it but merely thinking of it makes my heartbeats faster. I look at Angraj like it will be my last day with him soon and it hurts,it hurts like hell.

Maybe I have grown a liking towards him.

The epic was now clear in my mind. I thought it was foggy but all of it came in.

"Rajkumari, Vasudev Krishna has arrived in Anga" A dasi informed.

I dropped the brush I was using to paint and looked at the dasi, excitement clearly in my eyes. I stood up and nodded at the dasi, dashing off to meet Govind.

.

And there he stood, beside Angraj. A huge smile formed on my face as I rushed to them. The sounds of my anklets grabbed their attention as both of them turned to me. A smile took over Govind's face. He spread his arms, expecting me to hug him.

I halted in front of him, tears of joy forming in my eyes. I bent down and sought his blessings before I hugged him. He softly rubbed my back and held me tight. He must know what I am thinking now-a-days,of course he does!

I pulled away from the hug and simply stared at his face. Now I know why he is a God...

"Arshia,how are you?"

Oh,how I have died to hear that voice.

"I am great, shri Krishna. How are you?"

"Happy knowing that you are great"

.

No one POV

"What is the reason you have come here, Vasudev?"

"I am going to Panchal, for some important work. I thought why not visit my dear sakhi"

The smile on Arshia's face never left.

"Panchal?Why?"

Karna questions.

"To greet the two fire twins, Rajkumar Dhristadyum and Rajkumari Krishnaa"

Karna nodded.

Krishna turned to Arshia and passed her a knowing smile. He pulled her closer for a hug and whispered

"I wish I could stay a little while longer but I unfortunately can't. Arshia, today, from this very moment your purpose to come here will begin. The purpose of you witnessing the Mahabharat will start and whenever in need, just call me out. I will forever be there for you and if I don't respond, remember your mother, okay?"

Krishna pulled back and smiled. Arshia slowly nodded.

"I have to go unfortunately. I will see you two very soon"

He patted Karna's shoulder and walked to his chariot, passing a last glance at Arshia.

.

"Angrani,we are here to cook. It's fine"

"But I want to cook and I am tired of practicing weaponry all the time. Might as well try to cook. So what do I have to do?Just order me!"

Arshia said determined. The dasis nervously looked at each other and nodded at her.

"What do you want to make Angrani?"

"Kheer?I know that it is simple and all but this will probably be the first time I will be cooking,so go easy on me!"

The dasis held back their smiles and nodded at their queen.

"We are going to bring the uten—"

"Where's the fun in that?Tell me in one go and I will do everything. You all can focus on your work, just tell me"

The women look at each other, hesitation clear in their face but had to obey the queen.

"Agnrani, take a heavy bottom pan, pour milk and boil it. Then, add the rice to the milk. Slowly continue to boil it and let it shimmer in low heat. Turn the heat to medium and wait for the milk to reduce. Add condensed milk once it is reduced and the kheer is done. You can serve it hot or cold"

Arshia listened carefully and nodded, once their explanation was over. She smiled at them and started her work.

While pouring the milk, she saw the dasis standing like statues.

"Is all your work done?"

They nodded.

"Then why are you here? You can go"

When they were about to protest,Arshia passed them a mocking glare. They hesitantly took their leave.

.

Arshia sighed as the work was finally done. She sat on a small stool, her knees near her chest and her chin resting on them as she watched the kheer getting ready.

"And I have been going around asking everyone where you are, thinking you have ran away"

Arshia lifts her gaze to see Karna's angry expression.

"That's weird,why would I run away?"

"Well, you weren't anywhere in the castle and I have never seen you in the kitchen" Karna said, removing his footwear and entering the kitchen. He moved his eyes to the pot and tilted his head.

"Kheer?"

"Yeah. I had nothing to do and I thought why not cook something?"

Arshia stood up and looked at the kheer. Karna looked at the way Arshia was looking at the kheer and teased

"Why don't you look at me that way? Now,even mere kheer gets more love than me by the queen of Anga. "

Arshia blushed and shook her head.

"It's the first time I was cooked som—"

Karna took steps closer to her making her stop taking. "No, please continue" Arshia gulped as she felt the intensity fill in the surroundings. When she opened her mouth to continue no words came out. She backed away but Karna didn't stop. She felt her back being hit by a wall. Karna rested his hands on the shelf just beside them and another was on the wall.

"Yeah, what were you saying?" Karna's voice made Arshia drunk. She shook her head indicating that she had nothing to say.

"You weren't like this in front of the kheer."

"The kheer wasn't this intimidating and close" slipped out her tongue. Karna held back a smile as he drew back the hand that was resting on the shelf and gently lifted her chin to make eye contact with her.

"Intimidating?"

Arshia,once again,gulped.

"Mitr Karna!"

Karna widened his eyes and stepped back. A smile broke out on Arshia's face, seeing Karna's reaction. She went to the kheer and saw that it was done. She turned off the flame and grabbed bowls to serve.

"I have been searching for you everywhere! Pranam Bhabhi!"

"Pranam Yuvraj"

"You have made kheer?!" Duryodhana exclaimed.

"Yes, yuvraj." Arshia said softly, handing over the bowl to Duryodhana and then Karna.

"Woah... it's so good!"
