Xaden had a blur over his eyes the entire walk to Vyshena's dorm. Hitting the handle and swinging it open, he walked inside while seeing her asleep. He walked over, kneeling down on the bed. "Vyshena?" He held a hand to her shoulder, hearing her hum. "Wake up." Xaden told her and she groaned, rolling onto her back and stretching her arms.

He leaned down next to her ear, "this attitude you have is done. You are mine, I am yours. I am exhausted by the effort you are putting in to hate me." His voice was low as it growled in Vyshena's ear quietly. He stood up, "also, Violet is aware that I have no love in my heart for anyone else." Vyshena sat up in bed. "Quit pretending that you still don't feel it." Xaden sighed, while a mage light came on in the dark room.

"We both know." His voice trembled while Vyshena nodded her head. "You will continue to earn my trust back and if I find out you betray me again," Xaden was quick to get on his knees, Vyshena sighing while he kneeled in front of her. "I am your messenger." He said, leaning forward gently and kissing the top of her knees. She tilted her head to the side, "I am your equal." He kissed her inner thigh, slowly pushing her legs away from each other.

"I am your king." Kissed the spot above her belly button. "You are my Queen." The spot at her neck that always made her hum. "Tethered together," Xaden laid over her, grabbing her jaw in his hand. "Say it." He said, "in life and death." Vyshena said with hatred in her heart, and Xaden gripped her jaw before leaning down and trapping her into a warm kiss. Her legs lifted, hooking over the back of his thighs to press him tighter to her.

"So you understand?" Xaden asked while Vyshena lifted the skirt of her nightgown over her hips. Not answering, Xaden's eyes darkened. "I'll kill anyone who dares touch me." Xaden hummed, "that's right."

Vyshena's mouth was dry when she woke up in her room. The morning light from the sun relfecting on the ocean had shined into the glass of her windows and the warm tile of the floor meant there were new eggs in one specific spot hidden away in the Alithia mountains.

She shot up, swinging open the heavy wooden door and sprinting down the hall. Coming to a skitted halt, she swung open the other door with her body weight. Running until she could jump on the bed. "Babies." She whispered in his ear while he stirred awake.

"Come on, we have babies."

"Babies!" Eon screamed as she and Izo ran into the bedroom. "Xaden, let's go!" Fyda complained while Vyshena grabbed his hands and pulled him from the bed. Izo and Eon sung a lullaby in Alithian, while Fyda grabbed Vyshena's hand. "How many do you think?" Xaden asked, walking through the halls in nothing but sleep pants. "Three." Fyda answered.

"Three." Vyshena agreed. It was a twenty minute walk to where the dragons laid their eggs. But a beautiful walk along the coast. Xaden watched as Eon had done cartwheels in the sand, Izo running after her. Fyda picked up a stick and had let the end follow behind her. Xaden and Vyshena side by side, both squinting from the morning sun.

It was always hotter when there were newborns, especially during the summer months. She was fifteen, a month until her sixteenth. Eon and Izo shouted at them to catch up, running in circles. "How do you have so much energy?" Fyda asked her twin who shrugged her shoulders.

Their white hair reflected the sun and made it disappear. A reddish hint on her skin from the sun, and purple eyes brighter than ever. Eon was in a pale green sleep gown, the bottom wet from the sea. Fyda shared the same one, but there was dark red lace around the trim. Izo had on white, with the sleeves of her shoulders puffed out. her skin was dark, but hair a vibrant white. Something contrasting beautifully.

Xaden waited for Vyshena to climb over the rock before he followed, knowing his way blind through these tunnels. "Ouch," he hissed after the sand bubbled around his feet. Vyshena turned around, swiping her hand in the air and Xaden instantly felt the relief. "sorry," she told him while he nodded his head with a small smile.

"Eon, Fyda, hold on!" alithian shouted from Vyshena's throat as she felt the girls all stop. "it's right there!" Izo shouted, and begun walking again as a group. "When's Liam back?" Eon asked when Fyda leaned down to the mound and stuck the stick inside.

steam poured out while Xaden took a step back quickly. "Not for another few weeks. How many?" She asked. "Three!" Fyda shouted while Xaden gasped and took a step forward. "Three?" Asking while Fyda pulled out one egg, a dark brown color, almost purple. Earth.

The next was handed to Izo, a light blue. Camouflage.

And last Vyshena grabbed. A stone grey color. Death.

"We have two." She said, holding on tight to the egg in her grasp. "No," Xaden sighed while he leaned forward to look at the egg color. "Why don't we just paint it" Izo suggested while leaning forward. "It's too warm, it'll just melt off."

"Hide it?" Eon suggested and Vyshena shook her head. "If we let the jaes hen morghon - god of death free, we'd kill it and everyone around us." Vyshena said while walking out of the cave. "Please, there hasn't been one hatched in a century! Evolution has happened since then, mother. Please," Fyda stepped in front of Vyshena, while the princess looked to her daughter.

"Father, please." Xaden rose his brows. "This is not my decision to make." Xaden answered, and Vyshena shook her head. "Are you ready to face the Queen when she is told her blood released the jaes hen morghon?" Fyda sighed, "what do you do with them?" she asked, walking beside Vyshena.

"I do not know. I give them to Baelor and the rest I do not know. I don't want to know." Vyshena told her, as Izo jumped on Xaden's back, climbing him like a tree as she sat on his shoulders. "You're warm, Izo." He patted the tops of her thighs.

"I'm a dragon, father."

Xaden walked into Vyshena's room. "What is that?" Vyshena turned to her bed where the grey dragon egg rested. "Fyda was right. We don't know if they've changed over the past century and we've just been killing them?" She said, holding a hand to her forehead.

"What will happen if you're mother finds out?" He asked, "she won't. I will give it to Fyda, and she will watch over it." Xaden nodded his head slowly, "and if jaes hen morghan is released?" Xaden questioned.

"Well, I suppose we better hope Fyda is right."

Vyshena shot up in bed the same time Xaden had quickly turned over. Her hand on his back, eyes wide as she stared out the window. "Vyshena." Xaden said in a tone a shed away from terrified.

She held her hand out, shushing him. Gently closing her eyes and steadying her breaths, Xaden felt her nails quickly dig in his bicep as she gasped and flung her eyes open. "Jaes hen morghan." She blinked with out her eyes fully shutting.

Xaden's movements were numb to her aching body as her eyes glassed over with tears. "It's come? Fyda," Vyshena nodded her head. "I need to," she cleared her throat and Xaden sat up. "Xaden, there's magic that's involved in hatching an egg. Percise ritual's that need to happen to ensure the dragon doesn't go mad. Fyda doesn't, she doesn't know how to do it."

"You need to astral project. Say that you're sick. I'll ward the doors, you can speak through it." Vyshena nodded, her breath shaky.

"Rio?"

"I'm on my way."
