Violet jumped slightly at Vyshena who unpacked her belongings silenty at the end of the room. "Hey," Violet wasn't sure why she spoke, but she did. Vyshena turned her head, just slighty and saw Violet's arm in a sling. "Thought we had an extra bunk." She chuckled, managing to joke even though she knew where Vyshena was disappearing to at night.

"Come see me. Please" Her guards were down, and she was quick to slam shut the door to her mind. Eyes wide, wondering how she became so distracted they opened. She could see him now, throwing the book he had in his hands across the room as it hit against his wall hard. Standing up in a bout of rage, pacing.

"Sorry," Violet didn't know why she was apologizing. Vyshena hadn't said anything, and Violet was nervous from the quietness. "Nothing to be sorry for." Again with the 'R's'. "Right, yeah." She chuckled and Vyshena sat down on her bed, "going to sleep already?"

"You were out by the tree last night." Vyshena told the girl whose face fell. She remembered the silver haired princess leaving Xaden on the grass. Standing up with annoyance and rage. Violet was up in the tree for another thirty minutes incase they came back. "How do you know that?" She knew lying wouldn't help, Vyshena asked in more of a question.

"Please don't poison me. I'll go easy on you. I only went that hard because of Barlowe." Was she being nice to her? "And you should learn. You won't be able to poison something in war." Vyshena's voice was calm, eerily calm to know of Violet's secrets. "How do you..." Violet was confused, out of her mind confused on how Vyshena knew.

"I wont," Violet cleared her throat. "I won't poison you. I promise." The girl swore while she saw a twitch in Vyshena's lips. "Thank you." The door to their dorm opened and Rhiannon walked inside, "The wingleader is outside asking for you? He said you were in here." The girl spoke, utter confusion on her lips as both Violet and Vyshena looked at her. "I'm not in here." Vyshena answered sweetly, while Violet turned to look at her again.

"You're not in here?" Rhiannon asked and Violet understood. "She's not in here, Rhi." Rhiannon's mouth formed in a silent "oh!" as she nodded and opened the door. "She's not in here, sorry, Riorson." Rhiannon answered and Vyshena heard the quiet curse words on his lips. "When you see her," he looked above Rhiannon's head and met eyes with Violet, the door blocking Vyshena where she sat on her bed. "Tell her the wingleader needs a word. That's an order."

Rhiannon turned with her eyebrows rose, shutting the door while she looked at Violet, then to Vyshena who pulled back the covers of her bed and stuck her feet in. "You heard that?"

"His words mean nothing to me." Vyshena sighed, laying down with her back facing them. A sigh leaving her lips as the door to her wards cracked open. "Leave me alone."

"Let me in," he answered immediately and Vyshena debated on slamming it right into his shadows that entered the dragon pit of her kingdom. "You mean nothing to me." Her voice quivered, "you mean everything to me. Just let me explain, you nevet let me-" the door slammed shut, catching one of his shadows and she felt the twinge of pain from him. Pain that she caused. Serves him right.

Between Violet and Rhiannon's quiet chatter, quiet enough to not disturb Vyshena, she still couldn't sleep. Her mind was racing, everything had been so loud. "There's something different about her," she felt like putting the pillow over her head but knew that wouldn't help. Just as much as cutting out her eardrums would help.

She thought about asking him. Saying this is the last thing I'll ever ask of you, I promise. Begging for quiet, but she turned onto her back and stared at the ceiling.

She stared at the ceiling until dawn rose and illuminated the spot above Rhiannon, who was sleeping peacefully. Vyshena sat up, on her elbows as she noticed Violet sturring awake. The young girl hummed almost silently, then gasped as Vyshena got up and stood over her bed. "Do you want to go on a run?"

Violet was out of breath, panting in gasps as Vyshena stopped beside her bent form. She had metal in her mouth and her vision spiked in and out. "Uh, breathe?" Vyshena never had a problem running, it was one of her outlets but could easily understand how someone of Violet's composure could easily become weak. "You run. Fast." Violet said through pants.

The bells chimed loudly, and Violet pushed herself up from her bent over position. A gag came up, and Vyshena took a quick step back. "Are you going to puke? I don't do puke." It was panic in her voice. "You took down Jack Barlowe in a second, you practically ran across the parapet," another gag. "And you don't do puke?" Vyshena shook her head. "You puke, I puke."

Violet chuckled, smiling. "A sympathetic puker. Nice."

Violet notices how Vyshena avoids Dain Aetos at all costs. Not mentioning her departure to her new friend, she stalks past the two with enough distance to where Dain couldn't graze his hand on Vyshena's body somewhere and disappears down the hall. "Do you know anything about her?" Violet whispers, glancing up to the boy who rose his brows.

"That she hates me for some reason? She's a year behind everyone else in your squad, she should be in second year." Violet furrows her brows, "she's a repeat?" Asking quietly, eyes focused to where Liam caught up with his friend. "No, she didn't show last year and her name was never called. She's two years younger than Riorson." Violet snapped her head to him again. "Do you know anything about them?" Dain furrowed his brows and shifted his feet, what's with all the sudden questions?

"Why?" He asked, "I'm just curious. He shown up last night and we had to pull the "she's not here", when she was very clearly in the room." Dain furrowed his brows. Maybe that wasn't something to share with him. "He went to your dorm?"

"To find Vyshena." Violet assured, and Dain didn't seem to calm down. "He's out of line,"

"I think they were friends." Violet shared a tone of sympathy. "And something happened, and she want's nothing to do with him. He isn't out of line, he's just trying to reach out and we have no place to butt in." Dain seemed to ease at her words, she was right. "But if you know anything juicy," raising her brows while Dain rolled his eyes. "I don't know anything juicy. Other than the fact Fen Riorson was close with the king and queen before their deaths." That was it. "They grew up together?" She asked.

"Until the rebellion, is my guess." Dain offers while nudging his head towards the classes.

Vyshena sits besides Liam, but behind Violet and Rhiannon. The girl turning in her seat as she gossips with the princess, and Violet joined in until Professor Kaori steps to the front of the room to begin the lesson.

It draws on until Violet notices something Liam says, "any word from Eon or Fyda?" And then it's like everyone in the room is suffering the same fate Vyshena is suffering. It gets clowdy, but only in their vision. And the pain is unimaginable, suffering but from the inside. And as quick as it starts, it stops. Professor Kaori had stopped speaking, feeling it himself.

His eyes scan the room, and Vyshena would give herself away too easily if she were to stand and leave. So she stayed, looking around as everyone else had been. "Point taken." Liam mumbled as Professor Kaori ignored the sudden wave of power, praying to the Gods no one would speak of it because he truly hadn't known.

The restraint on the door in the dragon pit grew so enormous Vyshena had no choice but allow it to swing open to save herself. Xaden felt weak as he finally breached, "you slipped." She didn't have to answer him. "Hena," He growled in her head and she clutched the quill with her hand.

He was sat rows behind her, that much she knew. But he was still too close, still in her head. Plaguing every thought of hers day and night. "I know. Stop." She seethed and as quick as he entered he left, with the door swung wide open. She saw herself staring at it, "Cadet Lenayon." She looked up quickly. "What do you know of black dragons?" Professor Kaori asked and she cleared her throat.

"They're intelligent and incredibly great planners. They're also very rare, and we don't know the last time one was born." She answered and Professor Kaori nodded his head. "Now, do you believe that there are only six dragon types?" His eyes remain on hers, and Xaden slithers into her mind again but doesn't say anything. "I believe so. Unless there are other breeds staying hidden in the Vale."

"Your opinion, Cadet Lenayon." He said again and she felt the tapping of Xaden in the back of her head. The Professor knows something, and wants to prove it without asking. The only person who would know, would be the last Dragon, herself. "Professor, if there is something you are insinuating about my family, please don't speak in code." The room went dead silent, just as it did moments before. "You are curious if there are any dragon's left over?"

The Professor knew she was out of line, knew he was out of line. "You are correct."

"Your answer is no. They murdered our dragons just as they murdered our parents. Cut off their heads. They smashed the eggs. The dragons only allowed it because the bond between us is too strong. Sure, a dragon without their rider is a tragedy and a rider without their dragon is dead, but that only applies to you, and everyone else in this room." Professor Kaori wanted to tempt her. "And what of your dragon? The one that was born with you." He asked, pointing the chalk toward her.

She heard gasps in the room, "I'll kill him." She ignored it. "I told her to flee after I heard the scream of Chila that broke the stone of my castle after my mother died. Chila laid herself down before the men who killed her and shut her eyes, allowing those men to saw off her head because a life without my mother would be no life for her." Professor Kaori grew nauseous, as did Violet. "So she did what I pleaded her to do, and I haven't heard from her since."

Xaden was gripping the pen so hard it snapped in two, and the other riders around him jumped slightly at the snap. Even Violet heard it, as she turned her head around, past Liam whose eyes were wide and hand was under the desk, holding onto Vyshena's thigh. "Any other questions about my parents and my kingdom's death or can we return back to the lesson?"

Violet studied Xaden, and he was staring a hole into the back of Vyshena's head. If she has a dragon, how would Threshing go? Would she bond to another? Would another dragon even bond to her knowing about her past? The Sorrengail girl turned around, the argument between Jack Barlowe mentioning him stealing the black one for himself was deaf to her ears as she stared at her notes on the desk.

Who was Vyshena Lenayon? And what lies did she just spread?

Violet caught sight of how Xaden grabbed Vyshena's arm and tugged her off after they left the classroom. With silent arguments screaming at him, he dropped her arm and she followed him. "They're weird." Rhiannon mumbled beside Violet as the two disappeared in what seemed like shadows.

Violet stared at the mat, eyes wide as Rhiannon and Vyshena were called. Rhiannon smiled as Vyshena kicked her daggers to the side, and Garrick picked them up. "Oh, come on," Rhiannon sighed, dropping her shoulders only to be met with a punch thrown in her direction that she dodged.

Violet remembered what she said, "I'll go easy on you." Maybe she was going easy on Rhiannon since this fight has lasted longer than any of her fights with the other cadets. Maybe Vyshena see's a friendship with the two girls, one she could have trust in. Rhiannon was panting and out of breath. No, Vyshena was weaking her through a workout. And when Rhiannon tripped over tired feet after a few minutes of brawl, Vyshena hooked the top of her foot behind Rhiannon's ankle and tugged hard. Unsheathing Rhiannon's dagger at her side and placing the sharp edge to the girls neck as Vyshena sat between her thighs. Violet rose her brows at the exchange, a hum coming from her throat at the position. Sensual.

"Oh, you're good." Rhiannon threw her arm out and tapped three times, yield. Vyshena held her hand out, and Rhiannon grabbed ahold of it, helping her to her feet, Vyshena sheathed the dagger back in the spot it was previously on Rhiannon's thigh. "No, you-"

"I don't want your weapon." Vyshena said, getting hers back from Garrick. With a conversation between the two girls, Rhiannon gasped once seeing Violet fling her daggers in Jack Barlowe's direction, earning stares in her direction.

"Gods," Rhiannon mumbled as Violet glanced around the room quickly. Vyshena and Xaden had the same look on their face. Either admiration or astonishment, maybe both.

Violet remembers Vyshena's sympathy puker when Seifert vomits all over the mat. And Violet heard the heavy gag behind her as she quickly looked up, seeing Vyshena turn quickly and throw her hands over her ears. Garrick laughing while Bodhi quickly looked to Xaden. He kept his face blank, knowing well enough about the princess weak stomach when it came to sick. "Lenayon, excuse yourself." Emetterio shouted as Violet stood from the mat and made sure to wait for Vyshena to be out of the room before continuing to her friends.

"Is she alright?" Rhiannon asked Bodhi who chuckled. "She's killed more people than I can count and she gets sick with vomit." He chuckles, laughing as Violet's eyes went wide. She's killed people?

Now Violet knows. Become her friend, best friend even.
