Morana Alistar
I felt tingly all over.
Hyper aware of them.
They stopped messing with me. Although I didn't mind, I hate flirting.
It's a form of verbal teasing and something men do to insinuate they want something physical from me.
I've hated it for years.
I didn't mind the head patting and the way they were gentle with me. I was fine with the compliments and nicknames.
But I relaxed as I ate and they talked.
I felt pathetic. I was usually fine.
I felt small and fragile here.
It felt wrong to be anything but level headed and in the lead.
"How's your building going?" Kieran asked.
I nodded.
"Closer." But it had to progress faster.
"Is it hard to not constantly work?" He asked.
I nodded. "I'm used to it." I shrugged.
"Well you could help us around our casinos. It could be going smoother but we've had a lot of call offs and complaints." Davian looked at Kieran for approval before looking at me.
"Sure." I hummed, grabbing the water and sipping it.
"Your mind is somewhere else." Davian pointed and I held my breath.
"I know."
"What's going on?" Kieran frowned, his tattooed hand running over the tattoos on his throat.
I crossed my legs.
"Uhm... I'm never in a position of vulnerability. I feel very vulnerable currently." I confessed.
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No. But I don't like how it feels."
"It's okay to not be 100% work/boss mode all the time, Morana." Davian stood and pulled out my chair as Kieran took my dishes.
"This is different." My voice was beginning to fade.
It hurt to talk at a regular volume so I lowered it.
"Because we're men and you think you have to be a badass assassin who can prove she could kill us all the time?" He grabbed my hand and I frowned.
"I guess."
"We know. But just because we know that doesn't mean we can't... take care of the unmurderous part of you." Kieran cleaned the dishes and I nodded.
It was a hard thing for me to accept. I knew that.
"But thank you for telling us. Is there anyway we can make you feel in control of anything?" Davian asked and I looked up at him, my heart beginning to race as he held my hand and the stupid flickers of the DVD ran through my mind.
If Zade Meadows existed in real life with different eye colors and in two forms, that was the video.
Without thinking I leaned up on my tiptoes and pressed my lips to Davian's.
They were soft and unexpectedly nice.
I'd never enjoyed something like that before.
He didn't hold onto me. He just stood there and I backed up, the water Kieran was running was now off as he stared between Davian and I.
"I'm sorry." I whispered.
"Was that on purpose?" Davian asked very quietly.
I nodded.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked.
I might regret it later but I nodded.
He stepped forward, the hand on my wrist now around my waist, the other cupping my face as he kissed me and I moaned, my heart racing, my body shaking with adrenaline, my form frozen.
He pulled back, looking at me like this wasn't real.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah." My voice was nothing but a rasp of sound but he read my lips before kissing me again, his arm tightening around me, my back arching into him, his hand moving to hold my throat.
I gasped when his tongue traced my lips and he pressed to taste me, our tongues colliding but I didn't fight for dominance.
My stomach fluttered before it stilled when my body hit a wall behind me.
Fingers ran through my hair, fisting, pulling so my head was up toward the ceiling where Kieran looked down at me.
"Can I kiss you, doll? I'll be gentle." He whispered.
I nodded, his other hand coming under my chin, pulling me to bend further, my front vulnerable to Davian.
"Open." He whispered and I did, his tongue pressed flat to mine and I gasped when Davian kissed over my throat, Kieran kissing me upside down which made my head spin.
"Do you feel vulnerable?" Kieran asked.
"No." And I was telling the truth.
"Good. Because we do." Davian whispered, Kieran letting me go, my gaze returning to Davian.
Heat radiated off them, my back warmed with one body, my front with another.
"What now?" I muttered, terrified.
"Whatever you want." Kieran's hands moved up my back and to my shoulders, Davian's holding my waist.
"We can go very, very slow, beautiful. Let us take you on an intentional date tomorrow night. Not just a dinner." He said.
"Date." I whispered.
"Or we can make it the following day if you need a rest day for your voice." Kieran offered.
I nodded.
"No flirting." I practically mouthed as I was voiceless.
"No flirting." Davian repeated.
"Rest tomorrow. We will text you what you need to know for the following day. But it's late. You should get home." Kieran pet my hair and I agreed.
Davian grabbed my jaw, pressing his lips to mine again and I shut my eyes, falling into it.
Another hand came from behind me, squeezing around my throat.
"Don't be greedy." He whispered, forcing me to turn so I faced him.
He pressed his lips to mine as well, the metal ring on his lip a bit cold, but he was warm.
"You drank a beer. Do you want me to take you home and we can bring your car in the morning?" Davian asked but Kieran had me distracted, his kisses slow and deep, my abdomen aching, my clit pulsating.
Davian laughed and grabbed my hair, tugging me from Kieran who kept his hand on my throat.
"Can we take you home?" He asked, my throat being massaged, my head being petted and I was everywhere but here.
"Mmhm."
"Get her something warm. It's cold out." Davian said and Kieran kissed my temple before leaving.
"He's stealing you from me." He wiped my lips and put his arm around my shoulders.
"You guys don't get jealous? You always share girls?" I asked.
"We absolutely get jealous. Just not with each other. And meh. We have occasionally but we both get what we both want." He shrugged.
Kieran brought down a hoodie and bottled water.
I pulled it on when Davian moved and he handed me the water.
"Drink it. Your voice is almost gone."
I nodded.
I pulled on my shoes and made sure I had all my things.
I sat in the passenger seat, they gave me my own personal bubble and I enjoyed it.
Kieran opened the door for me, I looked at Davian who'd driven.
"Thank you." I whispered.
He nodded, leaning forward and I smiled, kissing him.
It felt nice to have that. I felt girly and like a teenager with her first boyfriend.
Kieran offered a hand and I took it, he walked me into the elevator and when we got to my penthouse he grabbed my jaw and kissed my forehead.
"Sleep well, babydoll. Call if you need anything."
"Okay." I whispered.
