"The fuck is your problem?" The man shoved the hundreds of poker chips and they hit me, landing all over my chair, all falling at my feet, rolling along the ground.

"Who the fuck are you talking to?" Davian came over my shoulder, handing me my drink.

"Your little pal here, he's a fucking cheater!" The man screamed.

"Clean them up." I said.

He gave me a disgusted look.

"I have a beautiful new pistol to try out if you don't." I sat back, sipping my bourbon.

I pulled it from my coat pocket and laid it on my thigh.

The man glared as he stood, fixing his dress coat like it did anything.

He came and knelt, picking up the chips.

I didn't move an inch.

He reached and grabbed the ones lying on my chest, my legs, on the chair.

Zara came by with a notepad.

"Gentlemen. What can I do for you drink wise?" She asked.

The man continued picking up the chips as the others ordered swiftly.

Her hand handed on my shoulder.

"Ms. Alistar will be downstairs in the next few minutes." She walked away and I watched the man pick them up.

He flung thousands of dollars to the floor.

He put the stack he had on the table, starting the next.

I kept my pointer finger on the trigger and he began trembling with pressure.

The elevator doors opened and Morana stepped through, all eyes finding her as id expect.

I looked at Davian and his eyes were glued to her.

I continued eyeing the man who glanced up at her for a bit too long.

I cleared my throat and he continued.

She came to me and her hand found my shoulder.

"What's going on?" She whispered.

"Tell her. She owns it." I pushed his forehead with the nose of my gun.

He looked up at her.

"I made the mess." He muttered.

"Why here?" She asked, studying him reaching in compromising places to grab the chips he flung.

"Come on." I jabbed again.

"He cheated. I got mad."

"He didn't cheat." Zara said while wiping down the counter.

"Clean it faster." She glared before leaving to the bar.

People studied her backside and a sense of fury and pride filled me.

But she had herself. I knew that.

I looked at Davian who seemed to feel the same.

When he was done with picking up his mess he sat down.

She came back and I stood.

She shook her head no.

"Sit." Davian said, his tone strict but not out of line.

So she sat with an expressionless face.

She crossed her legs.

She glared at the man across from her.

"Those are nice." I held my hand out, she set her hand in mine and I looked at her new nails as I sat on the elbow rest of the chair, Davian on the other side.

"Did they get done this morning?" He asked and she nodded.

I looked at her and noticed the blue veins spread over her chest.

"Are you cold?"

She shook her head no.

It must just be the light making them noticeable.

I placed her hand on my thigh as Davian leaned forward and handing her, her drink.

She sipped it, lying her head back, shutting her eyes.

He brushed her hair back and she took a deep breath.

"Wanna play?" I asked and she nodded, sitting her head up.

I was shocked of the noise and amount of people in here.

"I'll be back." I removed myself and went to the counter.

"What's up?" Zara asked.

"I smell weed. Where is that from?" I asked.

She reached under and pulled out a chest.

"Mo and I smoke so this is our own stash. Not the rest of the junkies possible drugged shit." She laid everything out and began rolling one for me.

"See if she wants one." She said and I went to her. Her hand good, her face still.

The man played currently and that last time was his warning.

He looked at me and I showed him my pistol from behind her.

He understood.

"Wanna blunt, doll?" I asked.

She shrugged.

I went to Zara.

"I'll make yours larger. She'll probably want a few puffs." She used water to roll and I appreciated that.

She handed me it and a lighter.

I closed the one end a bit, letting it cool before lighting it and inhaling.

I kept my chest full, letting my body feel it as I exhaled.

"Thanks sweetheart." I nodded to her and left.

I took my spot on the chair and handed it to Davian.

I placed my hand on the back of her neck under her hair, massaging.

She placed down her hand and the man turned beet red.

"Watch yourself." I sneered and he stood, excusing himself.

Davian pressed the blunt to her lips and she inhaled, lying her head back, shutting her eyes, keeping it in before she exhaled.

"You look beautiful." Davian adjusted the strap of her dress.

She looked at him and gave a small smile.

I took the blunt back and kept it with me until she reached for it.

She stood, turning and facing us, keeping it in her mouth for a bit as she cleaned the cards and tried cleaning all of it.

"We've got it. Go do something else." Davian swatted and she frowned.

But she left it alone, going to the bar and sitting, letting Zara talk her ear off about her day, she listened happily as she smoked.

We cleaned all of it up, cashing in her chips and handing her the cash.

When we finally got to be with her, her eyes were bloodshot and she was drowsy.

"Gonna sleep good tonight." I laughed, rubbing her back and she nodded, handing Davian the blunt as she continued listening to Zara.
