Emily POV

Three years ago my life was so crazy I just divorced my cheating good for nothing husband. I asked for nothing and left traveling to Louisiana. Only to learn that my late grandmother left me with over 950 million dollars in an account, a beautiful mansion and an oil company. I also found out I was pregnant the day I found out they were twins I was so scared. My best friend Jessica dropped everything to help me raise my children and help out with my grandmother's company when I was too sick to go in. I met some nice people out here as well I have a group of friends that I couldn't imagine my life without.

I wake up to my son jumping on the bed "mommy, mommy." is all I hear my son say I open my eyes to see him jumping up and down on my bed. I sit up as I smile grabbing him and tickling him. His little laughs fill the room "good morning sweety" is all I say when I stop tickling him. He sits up planting wet kisses all over my face. I smile then I get up stretching "lets go see what titi Jessica is cooking." He smiles his smile is just like his father's it brings a small ping to my heart every time I see it but I still love to see it on my son's innocent little face. I checked into Kayla's room and she was still asleep in her princess bed. Her bed was a carriage so she could feel like Cinderella on her way to the ball. She loves that movie and she loves happy endings. How I wish life was like that but sadly it isn't I will never tell her otherwise not right now. I walk to the kitchen to see Jessica at the stove cooking as country music plays in the background.

She turns from the stove with a smile "good morning" I smile telling her good morning sitting down. "Blaze decided to wake me up" is all I say as she hands me a cup of coffee. As I sip my coffee Blaze goes to the living room to watch yo Gabba Gabba he has been obsessed with that show. "What are your plans for today?" Is all I hear from Jessica as she makes omelettes for us and cheesy eggs for the twins. If it wasn't for her helping me I would never get to sleep in. I yawn then I begin to say "I plan on spending some time with the twins then I need to stop by the office I was going to take them with me so we can stop at the book store and the park on the way back." Before she can speak again Kayla walks in the kitchen yawning and holding her favorite teddy bear. I smile when I see her "good morning Kayla bear" she smiles walking to me then I pick her up "morning mommy, morning titi" is all she says in her little baby voice.

Jessica smiles as she sees her telling her good morning. I decide to get dressed while Jessica cooks so I can focus on the twins after breakfast. I walk to my room going to my closet grabbing something to wear. Then I walk to the bathroom running the shower water as I wait for it to get hot I brush my teeth and wash my face. I strip down getting into the shower. As I wash my body with my favorite vanilla scented body wash I get the feeling that something is about to happen today. After a 30 minute shower I get out drying off putting my favorite body cream then I get dressed and walk back into the living room the twins were watching TV as they played Jessica hands me my plate "I plan on going to talk to Reggie I'm trying to get this spa opened before the end of the year" is all she says as she looks through her phone going through her emails. "We should meet up at that diner we went to when we first got to town." Is all she says and I sit down to eat as I say "yeah sure let's do 1:30." She smiles walking out as I finish eating and I get up cleaning my plate.

Now I have to get the twins dress it takes a good hour and half but I finally get them showered and dressed. I grab a bag packed with some snacks and toys to keep them entertained when we are on the road. "Come on sweety we have to leave..." Before I could finish Kayla runs off laughing in one direction and Blaze runs off in the opposite direction and I'm left chasing two kids up and down the hall. After a good 5 minutes I finally catch them and get them into the car then I get in the drivers side driving off. It takes me a good 40 minutes to get to the book store and I park the car. I get the kids out of their car seats "hold mommy's hand and remember don't go anywhere that I can't see you" is all I say as we walk towards the store.

We walk in and I see my good friend Fredrick talking with one of the customers. Once he sees us he smiles and the twins run to him "uncle Freddie" is all they say in unison he smiles bending down to hug them. He was 6ft tall with long hair and Carmel skin with hazel eyes. He had a thick accent and was absolutely beautiful his husband was a lucky man. He picks them up "I just had some new children's books come in I put some up for you two." They smile happily I walk to him hugging him once he puts down the twins. "how have you been" I smile telling him good. Then we talk about everything that's been happening my company is bugging me to help this company that is about to fail they think with a strong backing it will be just the push they need.

We talk for a good two hours then I purchase some books and walk out with the kids. Once we are in the car Kayla begs for a snack and that makes Blaze start to beg me for one to. I grab the bag pulling out two small bags of cheese puffs opening it for them and handing them their bags. Then I drive off driving towards the office and listen to music as I drive. After I go to the office to pick up so many files I drive towards the diner to meet with Jessica it will take me an hour maybe an hour and a half to get there depending on traffic. I finally pulled up to the diner Kayla was falling asleep and Blaze had sleepy eyes which meant he would soon follow his sister. I called Jessica to see if she is already here "I just pulled up Im about to park and come help you" is all I hear her say. It takes her a few minutes to get to me she helps with blaze and I carry Kayla and decide to wake her when we get seated. We walk in it's pretty busy today is all I think.

I look around to see people enjoying their meals. We walk to a nice booth in the corner sitting I wake up Kayla she whines a little bit when she looks around she smiles really big. a nice looking waitress comes to the table She is tall with long red hair and baby blue eyes "welcome to Tommy's where every meal is a delight what kind of drinks can I get for y'all?" Is all she says with a sweet smile. I smile back "umm can I get" before I can finish and Blaze says "mommy I have to..." I look into his eyes and he is giving me the he has to use the restroom look. Jessica looks to me"I got it I know what you guys like" I give her a thank you look then I get up helping blaze out of the booth they both hate using booster seats they want to be like me and Jessica so I let them. Before we leave Kayla looks at me and I can tell she needs to go too. "Come on Kayla bear" she smiles taking my other hand. I walk with them towards the bathroom as I pass by the table and see a familiar face: is that Derick? is all I think.

Slight panic sets in if he is here then.... I can't even think of his name. I haven't dared thought his name in 3 long years. I try to mentally calm myself people can favor each other I'm just over reacting..and even if that is him that doesn't mean he is here. Is all I think and how I wish I was right by just at that moment like some cruel twist of fate Ericson walks out the bathroom and he was looking as sexy as ever. He looks directly at me as I try to hurry the kids into the ladies room. I could feel his gaze on my back.

Ericson POV

I arrived in New Orleans early this morning on my private plane. I planned on spending a week or two out here. I have business to tend to one of the companies that my dumb ass brother brought is going under out here. I promised him I would help him and his family out of debt if he did the 15 year bid I needed him to do. Some shit popped off three years ago due to Alyssa no good ass she got her hands on evidence on some crimes. I had committed so I needed a fall guy that favored me and he was happy to help but only if I helped him. I got Alyssa's ass back too she is no longer living or being a pain in my ass. Once I reach my hotel room I call my partner Derick he is not only my right hand but my partner is business. He got in last night "what's up Ericson" is all I hear on the other end.

I could hear a girl whining for him to come back to bed. I laugh as when I hear her voice "I'm doing good no need of asking you" is all I say as I walk to the balcony nursing a small glass of whiskey "the meeting starts at 11:30 I have been over the files my brother did not know what the fuck he was doing." Is all I say with a frustrated sigh. I hear him laugh "yeah I told you that he didn't know anything about the oil business" is all I hear him say and he is right "I told one of the managers to get us some information on some companies that may be able to help the company move out of the negative a loan that can be paid back in the future" Is all I say. We continue to talk about what needs to be done while I'm out here I also came to have a sit down with a man about partnership Derick thinks it's a good move I need to make sure. I'm all for expanding but it needs to be with someone I trust and this guy hasn't earned that hell I don't know if he ever could earn it.

I finish my drink walking inside going to my suitcase I pull out a suit that I plan to wear. Then I called downstairs to order some breakfast from room service. After I finish eating I take a nice shower then I get dressed walking to the car I had my assistant rent for me. I get in driving towards the address Derick sent to my phone. I had a feeling something was going to happen today. I could tell it wasn't bad but I still don't like surprises. It took me a good 50 minutes to pull up to the address where I park my car getting out. I looked at the one story building it looked like a shack The first thing I'm doing is rebranding this is just horrible is all I think. I feel so disappointed in my brother. He was always a smart kid just a scattered brain sometimes.

I walked into the office space there was a secretary sitting at a large black desk. She was sitting there just doing her nails and watching TV on the computer that she should be working on. I was already unimpressed and annoyed she is the first person a potential client sees. If she is looking or acting unprofessional that gives them the impression that no one here can do the job they need them to do. I walk to the desk flashing a million dollar smile "good afternoon miss. I need you to call Mr. Sweettleson and let him know Ericson King is here." She looks up to me with a flirty smirk on her lips. She was a nice looking girl with long black hair and dark brown eyes, sun kissed skin, with a nice figure but that's not what I'm interested in at this moment. "What is this regarding?" Is all I hear her say as she looks at me batting her long eye lashing. "It's personal business just to get him out here now." She cuts her eyes getting up from her desk. She walked off to inform her employer about my arrival.

It takes a good 10 minutes but she walks out with a middle aged male right behind her. I look to him he was short and chubby with a bad comb over. "Mr. King it's a pleasure, I'm your brother's top manager in the office it's a pleasure to meet you" Is all he says as he shakes my hand. " Inform your staff that meeting will take place in 15 minutes" is all I say he leads me to the back where the desk were scattered around some had computers on them. Some people sat at the desk watching me. I walk into the corner office "I will get everything ready" is all the male says then he steps out I look around the office was small compared to mine in the city but I guess it will do for now. I pull out my phone to call Derick. It rings a few times then he answers and says "I'm on my way!"

The meeting went well I have one of the office heads looking into the top oil company. It's being run by a CEO who wants to remain a secret. "Let's get lunch I heard about this diner they serve some good food." Is all I hear Derrick say I tell him to text me the address then I walk out going to the parking lot getting into my car. I drive off it takes a good hour to get to where I need to be. The city is the same way but that's usually due to the traffic is all I think as I pull up parking the car. I get out walking inside and I walk to a table near the bar..it took Derick some time to finally walk in. he drives too slow! is all I think as he walks to the table sitting down.

"Have you always driven so slow I've been here for 20 minutes waiting for you." Is all I say as he sits down he laughs then he says "I like to take my time I'm on vacation you should try it." I laugh as a waiter walks up "what can i get you" is all he says in a bored tone. "I will take an ice tea and steak and a loaded potato" is all I say then I get up excusing myself so I can use the restroom when I was coming out that's when I see her she looked as beautiful as ever she rushed into the bathroom with what looked like ...naw I must be tripping is all I think then I walk to the table sitting down. "Guess who I just saw" is all I say to Derick. He looks up from his phone "who?" I sip my drink as I lean back "Emily"' is all I say as I think I'm going to need something stronger than this

He doesn't look that surprised "I heard a rumor that Jessica and her ran off to Louisiana but that was three years ago, I guess they never left." Is all he says like it was nothing I know I made it look like I made the right choice back then but I was so wrong. She walks out this time holding hands with two children my eyes widen as I watch them. "Now I didn't hear anything about them" is all I hear Derrick say. My mind was racing Did she come out here and get knocked up by someone out here ....no she isn't that type of girl Emily likes to take her time is all I think she walks sitting with her friend leaning over telling her something.

I was soon aware of what she told her since she looked in our direction. She looked like she was trying to grab everything to leave. But one of the kids begins to cry so she had to sit back down. Once our food comes out I pick at my food "I want you to find out what my little ex wife has been up to since she left my side...most of all I want to find out who the father is of those kids he needs to disappear ASAP" is all I say as I bring my drink up to my lips. What have you been up to while Daddy been busy little wifey is all I think as I watch her she wasn't enjoying her meal she looked to be on edge and I feel the same exact way.

Sorry for taking so long to update my dog got attacked by a pitbull. I had to save him so my finger is messed up. But I promise to start posting once a week don't forget to vote.
