I look over and Enzo's focus is on the road. One hand is on the steering and the other is resting on the centre console. "Are you tired darling?" He asks softly.

We both get up and he places a kiss on my lips and then my forehead.

"Goodnight darling" he whispers starting to walk away.

I grab his hand before he can leave and he looks at me . " Or... Maybe you could stay?" I ask.

"Darling I don't --"

"Yeah you're right that was stupid to ask. It's fine go." I say plastering on the best smile I could give.

He sighs but doesn't leave. He takes off his shirt and pants until he's left in his boxers. "Let's go to sleep." He says and I smile. A real smile this time.

We get under the covers and he pulls me towards him. I snuggle into his chest drifting off to sleep. I don't really know how I feel about Enzo but I know one thing. He makes me feel safe and in my mind I know he would protect me. ______________________________________________________

I know she's asleep because her breathing has relaxed. I look at her and she looks so peaceful. How can someone look so beautiful while sleeping? When she asked me to stay with her I should have left , I shouldn't have agreed but it is quite literally impossible for me to say no to this woman.
