"Could you not go two seconds without getting your dick sucked?" I grumbled walking further into his office.

"Jealous?"

"Disgusted." I clarified and he chuckled softly.

"You weren't so disgusted when I was in you." He muttered and I glared at him.

"What do you want Mr Armini?" I asked and he sighed.

"I already told you what I want." He said and I clenched my jaw.

"Well you can't have me." I said and he took a step towards me.

"It's either you or your brother." He said in a warning. "And I think I would be a lot more tempted to hurt him."

"Touch him and I will kill you without a second thought." I said though gritted teeth.

"I have one request." He said and I took a deep breath.

"Tell me." I muttered.

"You will stay in LA for a week and during this time you will meet me alone every day for at least an hour." He said and my eyebrows furrowed. "We have a lot to catch up on."

"And during this time you'll what? Try to win me back or something?" I asked him teasingly.

"Or something." He said looking at me.

I took a deep breath thinking about my next step.

"My patience is running out darling." He said as his finger tapped on his desk. "After all I have waited 5 years."

"... Fine." I said and he smiled. "One week."

"One week." He agreed.

"Now let my brother go." I said and he shook his head.

" Only after a week." He said and I scoffed.

"And how do I know you'll let him go?" I said.

"I give you my word." He told me and I laughed humourlessly.

"Your word means shit to me." I said and he sighed, pressing a button on his phone.

"Kai, release her brother." He said boredly before looking back at me. "There, happy?"

"I'll be happy when you're rotting in the ground." I muttered spinning around and reaching for the door handle.

Before I could open it Lorenzo was behind me as he placed a hand over the door keeping it closed and I turned to look at him. He placed his other hand on the other side of me trapping me between him and I looked up at him clenching my jaw. His face was serious as he leaned in so that his mouth was next to my ear.

"You left." He whispers into my ear and goosebumps erupted across my body. "It hurt me."

"You hurt me more." I whispered back to him and he sighed.

"I know." He whispered staring into my eyes.

"And you're hurting me now." I said before I could stop myself. "By forcing me to see you again."

"I know." He whispered softly.

"I'm happy Mr Armini." I said trying to make him understand.

"I know you are I just-" he took a deep breath. "I just want you to be happy with me.

His words made me lean closer to his face until our lips were almost touching.

"I will never be happy with you." I whispered as close as I could possibly get to his face.

"I'll see you tomorrow darling." He said before placing a kiss to my jaw.

I pushed his chest and he moved away. I opened the door before glancing at him one more time.

"Go to hell Lorenzo." I told him before slamming the door behind me.

I walked through the passage towards the front door seeing my brother and Kai standing there in what I could only describe as a staring competition. Neither one of them dared to blink.

I walked past them and my brother turned to me.

"Madelyn--" He started but I cut him off by putting my hand up.

"Don't speak to me." I grumbled getting into the car before shutting the door.

He got into the backseat with me and as soon as we started driving I slammed my fist into the seat in front of me.

"Fuck fuck fuck!" I yelled before dropping my head into my hands.

"What happened?" Sebastian asked me and I took a deep breath.

"We're staying here for a week." I told him and his jaw dropped slightly.

"A week?" He yelled. "Mads what the fuck were you thinking?!"

"I was thinking that my idiot brother got kidnapped by Italians and needed me to save his ass!" I shouted and he sighed .

"I really am sorry." He said and I sighed.

"I know you are." I said rubbing my forehead. "But sorry isn't getting us out of this mess."

We got to the penthouse we were staying at and I walked in with Sebastian , Sergei and Lev following me. I saw two of Lorenzo's guards station outside the elevator and I grunted in frustration. The bastard was watching me to make sure I didn't try running again.

I ignored them as I took the elevator up to the top where I was staying. Sebastian and my other men didn't dare to follow because they knew I was in a bad mood.

I walked into the penthouse seeing Aleks sitting on the couch as he typed on his laptop. I plopped down next to him cracking my neck since it felt tense. He turned to look at me and his eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Didn't go well with Sebastian?" He asked and I sighed.

"Nah I got the idiot back." I grumbled.

"Then what's wrong?" He asked.

"That bastard Lorenzo is forcing me to stay here for a week." I said roughly. "Apparently he wants to "catch up", whatever the fuck that means."

"I think it means he's pissed that he's out of your pants and he wants to get back in them." He said and I scoffed.

"Yeah well he's not gonna." I said and Leo quirked an eyebrow at me.

"You sure?" He asked and I glared at him.

"What?" I asked clenching my jaw and he sighed.

"Come on Madelyn you were in love with the guy." He said calmly. "That doesn't just go away."

"It doesn't matter Aleks. I'm with you now." I said pushing a strand of blonde hair off his face. "I'm happy with you.

I gave him a reassuring smile and he hugged me. I inhaled his scent closing my eyes.

"Thank you." I whispered into his neck.

"For what?" He asked and I smiled.

"For being my best friend." I mumbled and he laughed.

"Always." He said pressing a kiss to my cheek. _________________________________________

Heyy guyss I'm beginning to regret dragging the middle of this book for so long coz now this book is turning out to be soooo long haha I'm laughing through the pain🥲

Also I'm so happy to announce that I have started working on the next book for this series and it will be a lot shorter than this book lol. This book was just so unnecessarily long😔

Anywayyss the next book for this series won't be published until it is complete so that way you guys won't have to wait for updates yaaayyy!
