You blinked in surprise as you felt your body being guided back behind the curtains as Ricky got ready to sing. You had zoned out earlier, and were completely oblivious to what was happening.

You might see before you, an ordinary man

An Earthly Illusion,

All a part of the cosmic plan!

Yes, long ago they visited

The others from Outer Space

Informed me I'm the chosen one!

To save the Zolarian race,

It's true... listen!

There was then a couple of claps, before the spotlight slid away from Ricky over to Noel and Mischa. Who were ever-so strangely dressed in a cat-like mask with a cat tail connected via a belt.

Ricky, we are a distant galaxy

Our galaxy greatly in need

Of your grooves, your kink-o-matic powers

Yes, we need your freaktastic seed!

You were appalled by these lyrics to say the least.

They took me then to their daughter's realm, the land of the kitty cat star!

I know you've heard the legend of:

The sexy cat women from Zolar!

The curtain was slowly drawn, and you found yourself in a similar mask and tail as Mischa and Noel. The girls stood beside you, Constance on your right, Jane and Ocean on your left.

You all moved leisurely, pawing out to the air like a cat. You were flabbergasted, and slightly uncomfortable with your current situation. The four of you then clapped, before moving forward with strange vocals.

Meow!

Meow!

Constance then reached forward to grab Ricky's thigh as he came closer to the four of you.

Make love to me, Ricky!

Meow!

Meow!

Ocean kneeled down, gently taking Ricky's hand in both of her own. Her tongue swiped from her lips, sliding over his knuckles before she began to sing again.

Won't you save our galaxy?

You were definitely uncomfortable with what was going on. You and the girls continued to do some weird dances around Ricky as he sang, and you found yourself slightly wincing. This was really weird.

Soon enough, Ricky called you and the rest of the girls into the back behind the curtains. Though apparently Karnak must've sensed how uncomfortable you felt, and you got to stay out of the rest of the song.

Who knew Ricky was such a good singer this entire time?

It continued on and on, and it was actually really sweet. Soon enough, the song ended, and you finally came out in your normal attire. No cat mask or tail. Everyone else also took off their masks.

"Did you write that?" Noel asked gently, seeming genuinely curious and stunned.

"No," Ricky replied. "It was the Silver Surfer."

Mischa, who stood to Noel's left, looked amazed. He didn't interact or bond with Ricky much in their lives, but now you could tell if they had, they would've been really close.

"Dude you are so awesome in the afterlife," he stated, nodding to himself.

Ricky shook his head, taking off the purple wig he adorned earlier.

"No," he began. "I'm the same person I always was, but no one listening to me on Earth."

Ricky looked solemn for a moment, until Mischa gently rested his hand on his shoulder. The once mute boy looked to the Ukrainian, who gave him a nod of pure respect.

"We listen to you now Space Jesus," he replied.

Ricky gave a smile, and you opened your mouth to speak.

"I was not expecting that," you noted, getting an amused grin from Ricky.

Constance came up from beside you, grabbing your hand with a bright and cheery smile. It was nice to see Constance happy for once, ever since you all ended up in this damned warehouse.

"I'm so happy right now!" she exclaimed. "I can never come down!"

But then of course, something had to come out of nowhere and make Constance wince.

"My turn," Jane announced, her voice echoing across the warehouse.

"Aw man," Constance grumbled, stepping back with the rest of the choir to allow her to have her moment.

As you all waited behind the curtain, that strange sense of connection and familiarity filled you again. Why did you feel this towards Jane? Who else could've died on the roller coaster. You didn't really have anyone outside of the choir, so who was it?

"Jane Doe," Karnak began, the lights going dark around the area. "The one unidentified body of the Cyclone roller coaster disaster.

Jane stepped forward, flimsily pushing down the lever. Her head then twitched over to the screens where her childhood would show up, but nothing happened. She tried again. Nothing.

"Everyone knew everyone in Uranium, but no one could recall this member of the choir," Karnak monologued, his head slowly turning to look at the ghastly girl. "There were rumors of a girl who joined at the last minute, but as the choir conductor, Father Markus, died of a heart attack 7 hours after the accident, there was no one left to verify."

Jane stepped away from Karnak with wobbling steps much like your own, doll-like and uneven. Her head twitched, eyes darting around as if she was looking for the rest of the choir.

"Some believe that perhaps she was never in the choir at all." Karnak's head dipped as he spoke, voice becoming sorrow. "I never read her fortune, I sadly, cannot tell you. All one knows for certain, is that a body was found in a Saint Cassian Uniform...without a head."

"So... a mystery."

A gentle piano began to play in the background, and the beginning of Jane Doe's ballad began to play.

Some might say, we're released

Pushing daisies, deceased

But we all know the worms must be fed

There's just one lingering fear

Oh my soul, is it here?

Or is it rotting somewhere with my head?

Oh my soul,

Oh my soul,

Oh my soul...

Oh my soul,

Ooooh

Aaah

Aaaah!

Jane took a deep breath, stepping forward as she sang the haunting tune. She continued to look around, as if searching for something. Or someone.

Oh no soul, and no name

And no story, what a shame

Cruel existence was only a sham

She then suddenly looked up, reaching out longingly as she sang.

Oh Saint Peter, let me in

You must know where I've been

Won't you tell me at last who I am?

Who I am?

Who I am?

Who I am...

Who I am!

Oooh

Aaaah

Aaah!

You and the rest of the choir stepped out, wearing dark coats with umbrellas in hand. The six of you then all held them in front of you, holding it up, and then pulling it down in beat with the music.

And from the ground, beneath my feet

I hear the anguish of the street

A choir never complete

And like an old, forgotten tune

A song that no one knows

Forgot how it goes

Just John and me, forever eternally

Jane Doe

It went quiet for a long moment, Jane dropping down like a puppet without strings. Then, a dark piano played and she slowly rose up. And continued to ride. She was flying...she was flying.

And I'm asking why lord?

If this is how I die lord

Why be left with no family and no friends?

I've got no celebration!

Just this consolation!

She then came back down to the ground, her head snapping towards you. Jane then slowly raised a hand and pointed at you as she sang, digging into her lower register. It was kind of scary.

Time eats all his children in the end

Aah,

Ahahahaaaa!

A melody, floats through the air

When silence falls, does no one care?

Another sad, forgotten tune

Another song that no one knows,

Forgot how it goes!

Just John and me forever eternally

Jane Doe

And she's asking why lord?

Oh why oh why oh why?

This is no way to die lord!

No one to sing, no one to sigh

Now that is all said and done

Isn't there anyone... to tell me who I am?

No singing songs of celebration

Just a story speculation!

Jane then finally floated back to the ground, breathing heavily as she got ready to finally finish her song.

Like John I'll be eternally

A forgotten name, some lost refrain

Just...Jane

Jane...

Doe

A melody floats through the air

When silence falls does no one care?

JaneDoe!

Jane took a deep breath again, gasping as she finally finished her song. The amount of pity that flowed through your system was overwhelming, as well as a feeling of guilt.

This poor girl had died and lost her identity, she was, in a sense, nobody. No friends, no family. No one. No name, no face, no birthday.

It seemed you and the choir all had the same thoughts, sharing pity for the poor girl. The lights to the warehouse came on, and the six of you all stepped out to greet her.

Constance held a cupcake, and Mischa brought out a lighter to set the candle aflame. Noel held a little pink cape, gently setting it around Jane. Ocean then came forward, resting a birthday hat on her head.

Then you stepped into the light, holding a little bracelet that you forged by splitting your own into two. It was a friendship bracelet, but who it was for in your life you couldn't remember.

You slowly grabbed her hand, slipping it onto her wrist. The entire time, her wide black eyes gazed at you in shock. You gave a reassuring smile, before stepping back.

The six of you then tried to sing happy birthday to her, but then realized that you couldn't really tell Jane her name. Jane's head dipped, and she looked solemn for a moment.

"That song is overrated," you claimed, patting her shoulder.

"We'll think of something else!" Ocean added, grabbing Ricky and dragging him to the harmonium that sat by the broken down cart in the warehouse.

The two then sat together for a long moment, Ricky quickly making sure the harmonium worked before nodding at Ocean. She then shifted back and forth on the balls of her feet, looking around as she thought of what to sing.

"One two three..." she began, still unsure. "One two three, one two three...four?"

Ocean looked at Ricky, who gave a shrug. The ginger gave him a look, before continuing to try and come up with lyrics.

"This is the new song..." she trailed off for a moment. "We sing...for birthdays. Bouncy and merry and not quite as..."

Ocean looked at Jane, pausing again.

"...Scary."

Ocean, now looking more confident in her lyrics, stepped back over to the rest of the choir. They all got the message, and began to move with her. Soon enough, you were all circling around Jane as you sang.

One two three

One two three

One two three four

This is the new song

We sing for birthdays

Bouncy and merry

And not quite as scary

The new birthday song!

Jane, who was still swaying around with everyone else, was stopped by Constance who gently grabbed her arm. She then held out the Hello Kitty cupcake to Jane, who leaned in curiously. She looked at the sweet treat like it was a strange animal.

"It's a cupcake," you explained, gesturing to it. "For you."

Jane nodded, before reaching forward to grab the cupcake by the still burning candle. The choir panicked for a moment, but thankfully Constance was able to blow it out before Jane burnt herself.

She looked at the cupcake as she held it, before waddling away into the darkness. It seemed no one else was going to be performing, which meant that you would finally get a well deserved break.

The lights in the warehouse dimmed, and you scrambled over to a random cart in the corner of the limited room, sitting inside of it with a sigh. From beside you, Karnak looked over with a blank expression.

"How do we know it's my birthday?" Jane suddenly asked, coming out of the darkness, no longer wearing her attire. Other than the bracelet you gave her.

Ricky, who was fiddling with a glockenspiel, looked over with wide eyes. He calmed down from his little spook, and turned his full attention to Jane.

"How do we know it's not your birthday?" he quipped, tilting his head.

Jane looked back up, gazing at the wall in thought.

"People have names on pretend birthdays too," she noted, visibly wilting.

Ricky paused for a long moment, thinking of how he could cheer up the ghastly girl. Suddenly, he looked back up to her, like an idea had suddenly lit up in his bright little mind.

"You could call yourself Savannah," he offered, gesturing.

Jane blinked down at him, a tilt to her head.

"What's a savannah?" she inquired.

Ricky then looked away, as if he was embarrassed.

"Savannah is a special name I've been saving up but...you can have it. Cause everything I've been saving must go. It's a fire sale in my brain and everything must go by m-m-midnight-night-night..."

He trailed off, looking to the ground for a long moment. Jane then suddenly came down, sitting beside him and leaning in close. The imaginative boy recoiled, a slight pink tint on his cheeks.

"I like Savannah," she told him, and for once, she held emotion in her words.

"Well-" Ricky stuttered, clearing his throat. "You can have her."

Ricky tried to look away, but Jane gently grabbed at him again. He was forced to look her way, and his eyes widened at the sudden flurry of movement from the doll-like girl.

"Can Savannah have the greenest eyes?" she asked quietly, slowly blinking.

"...Yes," Ricky answered after a long moment.

Jane looked away, as if in awe at the identity she made for herself.

"Savannah," she whispered."with the greenest eyes."
