If I wasn't so pissed off and fighting for my life I might have laughed at this situation. All the running around Reign and I did, just to find out Warren used to fuck a mafia princess who was holding a big ass grudge. And he was in deep shit. Sure, nobody wanted to mess with one of the most notorious biker gangs but the fucking mafia doesn't give a shit about a little biker gang. He's an asshole who got us into this shitty situation. Luckily, when Reign and I scoped out the warehouse they have him in we realized this isn't a sanctioned op, clearly she's done this behind daddy's back. Which made the warehouse relatively easy to breach, only about 5 or 6 guys were here, and I'm sure she likely has blackmail on all of them to get them to agree to this shit show.
Unlucky for us, or mainly me, I was so pissed off I'd gotten distracted. Which brings us here, to me laying on the ground, teeth clenched, screaming at Warren as the two of them applied pressure or my thigh and used a piece of rope to tie at the top like a tourniquet. After I'd gotten shot the little bitch princess ran away with her injured men in tow, well, what was left of her men, there were definitely a few down, which is a mess for Warren to clean up, since it's his fault to begin with.
"Can you quit your bitching for two seconds, you moving around like that is only making it worse." "You deserve to be bitched at. And her being pissed at you is what's keeping her adrenaline pumping so she probably doesn't feel it." Reign snapped. Warren knows he fucked up, you can tell by the look on his face. But he's never living this down, not while I'm alive and kicking. "It's a through and through kid, looks like it wasn't too deep, likely just went through muscle tissue, which is good." Reign said despite me still screaming at Warren.
"Do you know how fucking worried I was about you? Worried that you'd gotten yourself into something terrible, or worried that maybe I was the cause. What the actual fuck is wrong with you?" He grumbled something under his breath, rolling his eyes. "I didn't ask to be kidnapped, tortured for hours and held captive. I'd be just now getting home from the bar if I had a say." He said sarcastically as he leaned down, easily scooping me up. "Good to know you'd come for me, though." He smirked down at me.
Reign slapped the back of his head, leading the way out of the warehouse to the car. I knew deep down reign was pissed we went through so much shit for the outcome that just happened, but he's more equipped to deal with Warren than anyone. He probably isn't phased he got himself into some petty shit like that. "She's right, you know. I would have let you sweat it out if I'd known who had you." Reign spoke up, shocking me. Both of them helped me into the backseat, closing the door behind them. I leaned against the leather, wincing as the throbbing in my thigh set in.
"Since when do you bust my balls like that? And let's not fucking forget it's still the mafia. Chelsea may be bat shit crazy, but all of those men were 100% mafia trained men." I rolled my eyes. "You got Lilith shot." Reign snapped. Warren glanced back at me, guilt written on his face. "No, Lilith got herself shot because she got distracted." He tried to reason with a bullshit lesson. He's right. But I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for him. "You're fucking kidding me." Reign gritted. Warren sighed, glancing back at me again. "Yeah, okay. I know I fucked up. But you'll be just fine, Lilith, I'll make sure of it."

I'll be honest, it hadn't crossed my mind to call anyone until I saw all of them walking into the room. Warren and Reign took me straight to 'their guy' from the warehouse. Who had a full mobile lab. Turns out it wasn't that deep and there was minimal muscle damage so I only needed stitches on the entrance and exit wound. Despite that, he said recovery time was probably going to be a bitch, even if the wounds weren't bad, my muscle needed time to repair itself. Which is going to suck considering I'm a 'I'll do it myself' type of person.
The look on Orions face was one of pure and utter distress. I actually felt kind of bad for just leaving now. "You're okay." He said softly, processing as he stood by the doorway. Maya and Spence wrapped me tightly in a hug, not giving a shit that I might be in pain. "Thank fuck those two didn't get you killed. I would have hated to have to murder them." Spencer murmured and I couldn't help but laugh as they pulled away. "We called in every favor to try and find you. We were so close, we could have-" Carter started but I cut him off. My heart melted. "I didn't need rescuing." I said softly. Orion was now moved from the door framed and the two of them were crowding around me.
"We would have protected you, not gotten you shot." I rolled my eyes. "I am not going to have this argument again. I am not fragile, I do not need to be coddled. The two of you got stabbed and acted like your whole world was ending. Meanwhile, I didn't even get numbing for my stitches. I am fine." Orion let out a sigh, smoothing my hair as I leaned into his touch. "You're right, Angel. You're a fucking bad ass. But that will never stop us from wanting to protect you, shelter you, and being worried about you. You were reckless and got yourself hurt, it could have ended up so much different. I can't even stomach the thought."
I couldn't help but laugh lightly and smirk. Two men who have killed more people than I can count, looked physically ill at the thought of losing me today. It was a sight to see. "The two of you are too dramatic. Things could have gone a lot worse, yes. But they didn't. And I don't foresee this issue striding again." I shot Warren a glare and he chuckled. Everyone else glares at him and he stuck his hands up. "I'm sorry, okay. Next time I get taken by the mafia I'll make sure to leave a note not to come get me." I rolled my eyes. "You're lucky I can't beat the shit out of you right now." I growled. Despite him blowing it off I knew he felt bad, I could tell by the way he looked at me he wished it was him instead, he was just putting on his tough guy act.
"You're in luck, love, I'd be more than happy to do it for you." Orions voice dropped as he looked at him. Warren rolled his eyes. "Kid, I respect you wanting to protect her but I wouldn't be the one getting my ass kicked." Reign caught him off guard, punching him in the gut. As Warren double over and groaned Reign grumbled something to him. Reign walked over to me and smiled lovingly down at me. "Dr. B will be back shortly to check on you. You'll be able to go home this evening with the meds he gives you. We'll come in to check on you in a couple days, yeah?" I nodded, and he leaned down kissing my head. "Thank you." I muttered and he grinned at me. I watched as he walked past Warren, pulling him out the door before he could say anything else.
"Damn, I've never seen them get into it like that, Reign looked pissed." Carter said. Spence laughed, looking up from his phone. "I like to call it the Lilith effect." I rolled my eyes. "Stop acting like I have some secret power over people. It's weird." I mumbled, wincing as I adjusted my self in bed. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Lil." Maya laughed, clearly agreeing with him as I huffed. Carter and Orion looked at each other before shrugging and I rolled my eyes. I need a break from these people.
~~
"I wasn't really asking you, Lilith." Orions authoritative tone made me want to shoot him in his thigh so he could see how it feels. "I don't give a shit if you were asking or not. I'm telling you I don't want it. What are you going to do? Force feed me the pills?" I challenged and he raised his eyebrows, crossing his arms. Carter walked in my bedroom, setting down a plate of steaming food on the lap tray. "As requested, princess." He grinned down at me, kissing my head. The chicken Alfredo looked absolutely to die for and I was extremely grateful Carter had put so much effort into it. "Thank you." I smiled up at him, kissing him lightly.
Orion rolled his eyes, walking out of the room. His attitude since we got home has been shitty. I don't know what his problem is but he needs to get the fuck over it soon before I smother him in his sleep.

"Do you want to tell me what your issue is now?" I asked Orion who had helped me into the bathroom despite my protests. He made a face, leaning against the counter. "I don't know what you're talking about. I rolled my eyes. "Don't bullshit me, Orion." I mumbled, just exhausted from the little movement. He sighed, looking down at me. "You scared the absolute shit out of me. I've never felt so out of control in my life and I don't like the feeling. I thought you'd left me. And I don't know how to handle the emotions that it brought up." My eyes met his and my heart melted.
Orion helped steady me as I pulled my shorts back up, the pain in my leg dulling. I held onto him and sighed, leaning into him. "You'd know if I was running. And you'd never come close to finding me." I said and he rolled his eyes, his grip tightening on my hips. "That's not helping." I laughed lightly. "You've got me, Ry. Barring any major fuck up on your end, I'm not going anywhere." He softly chuckled. "I'm only human, I'm bound to fuck up eventually." He said softly, leaning down to place soft kisses along my jawline. "I know. And in trying to learn grace for little things. We're both learning." I felt him smile against my skin before pulling away. He grinned down at me before kissing me softly. "Alright, let's get you back in bed."
As Orion helped me back to the bed room I sighed, leaning back against the pillows. "It really doesn't even hurt that bad right now." I said, sipping the water Carter had brought me. Carter was standing by the door and they exchanged a glance. "What?" I asked suspiciously. "Even if you don't care about your own health, we do. You're taking your meds one way or another." Orion said, crossing his arms again. My jaw dropped open and I looked at Carter who just shrugged. "Don't look at me for help, Ry is right. And I have no moral quandaries about putting your meds in your food." "You've got to be fucking kidding me." I grumbled. When I went to move to get out of bed both of them ran over and made me sit back.
"I cannot believe the two of you think putting drugs in my food is okay. You want to talk about me running, my trust is hard to earn and easy to lose." I snapped, looking at Orion. He gripped my jaw. "Keep being stubborn and I'll tie your ass to the bed while you recover. You have nothing to prove, the pain meds are there to help you. And I'll be damned if you die of an infection on my watch. If you were a good little girl and did as told we wouldn't have to put them in your food." He snapped back. I glared at him, pushing him. "And you! I can't fucking believe you." Carter laughed darkly. "I don't know why you seem to have this idea in your head I'm not as crazy as him. You're our responsibility whether you like it or not and I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe. I gave you a chance to walk away and you chose me, you chose us. Insane is a part of the package." I huffed, shooing them away, crossing my arms. "Leave me alone." I growled. They exchanged a look before nodding and walking out.
The fucking audacity of these men.
