Matteo had left the club and headed towards his next destination, already feeling the peace leave him, he wished he didn't have to meet this person, but it was something he couldn't avoid, so he had to suck it up
If Spade knew how he felt about Stefano, he wouldn't let him even go close to the man, he wouldn't have allowed Matteo to be his muscles, like Stefano had said, but Matteo knew they needed this little win, even if it wasn't much of anything, at least now they had information about their mystery man, and this brought them closer to finding out just who he really is.
He ran a hand down his face as he stopped his car in front of the apartment building, he clenched his jaw when not even a second later, he saw Stefano step out of the building, in nothing but a blue roundneck and black slacks.
The top fitted around his body tightly, showing every single muscle the man had, he had his hair packed behind him, and the small beard on his face made him look like Jesus. He had something else in his mouth, the closer he got to Matteo's car, the more clearly he could see it.
Was that a licorice stick? He was sucking on it like a straw, Matteo shook his head, this man was something else. Stefano just walked towards the passenger side of the car and tried to open the door, Matteo already knowing it was locked, didn't bother opening it.
He just sat there, already feeling a smirk overtake his face, if Stefano was gonna ruin this trip for him, then he may as well make his life miserable while at it. He could see from his peripheral that Stefano had put his head down to the window, obviously trying to talk to him, but pretended not to see the man as he set his eyes on the windshield of the car.
He watched as Stefano tried to talk to him, but he still didn't say anything or react as if he could see him, then Stefano disappeared from there, he smirked. Maybe the man was tired of standing there, but to his greatest surprise, he heard the window on his side, a knock on it.
He obviously couldn't ignore this one as he looked sharply and saw a smiling Stefano, he rolled his eyes and wound down the glass, Stefano peeked his head inside "What" he growled out, he hated that stupid smile and that cheerful personality, didn't anything ever annoyed the man.
"The door Teo, it's locked" he said, as if Matteo didn't already know that, he rolled his eyes before he unlocked the door, watching as Stefano walked to the other side and opened the door, he stepped inside and the smell of his cologne hit Matteo's nose, he almost gagged at it.
Everything about the man was so loud, he hated it. It suffocated and irritated him so much. "I thought you weren't going to show" Stefano's deep and throaty annoying voice reached his ears, making him resist the urge to groan out, he didn't want to start talking to the guy. He could just ignore him, but knowing Stefano, he'd just keep talking and talking.
"I'm starting to regret coming" he muttered under his breath before he started the car and drove towards the airstrip, he noticed Stefano didn't bring any personal belongings with him, save for his clothes he had on, and his phone.
This made Matteo to wonder why he'd do that, hoping he wasn't planning to inconvenience him by wanting to share his own stuff because he'd never do that.
He looked at Matteo and he saw the man was already looking at him, making his body to erupt with heat, he didn't like the way Stefano stared at him, it made him uncomfortable and weird. The man should just take his eyes away from him.
Now that he knew Stefano was looking at him, it made it kind of hard for him to drive, it was like he was a child learning to walk for the first time and the whole neighborhood had gathered to watch, definitely the child would miss more than a couple of steps and fall down.
"Can you stop fucking staring at me like that, you're creeping me out" he gritted out
"Where else do you want me to look at"? Stefano asked, almost as if he was whining to the blonde, making Matteo to resist an eye roll, is that even a question. There are more than a couple of places the man could be looking at and not him, definitely not him
Matteo clenched his jaw "I don't care if you don't have anywhere to look at, just fucking stop looking at me, you can look at the damn cars outside for all I care" he snapped. His hands around the steering tightened, he could see the whiteness of his knuckles.
"What if I want to keep looking at you"? Stefano asked, this time his voice sounded harder, and less whiny than before, making Matteo to quickly glance at him, before he looked away, Stefano's stare was really getting to him, he really didn't like it. He grounded his teeth together.
He didn't say anything to Stefano again, deciding it was best if he just ignored the man the rest of the way, after all they were almost at the airstrip, he saw Stefano shuffle beside him before the man pulled out a pack of licorice, and he opened it, bringing out a stick. He separated it in half, and then handed one half to Matteo.
The blonde just clenched his jaw, what the fuck was wrong with Stefano. This wasn't a fucking children's trip, or Disneyland trip. "What the fuck is this"? He snapped, and Stefano just gave him the ridiculous 'duh' look, before he looked back at the licorice stick again.
"It's licorice" he muttered and Matteo groaned out, obviously he knew what it was.
"I know" he gritted out "why are you giving it to me"? He asked and the man just shrugged.
"Since I'm in your car, I think it's rude if I eat something in it and I don't offer to you" he said casually, as if it was the most normal thing he could have said already
"First of all, I don't allow snacks in my car" he gritted out before he rolled down his side of the window and without warning he grabbed the pack on Stefano's lap and threw it out without even looking" he heard him gasp out, in protest but he couldn't care less.
As he slowed down, seeing the huge plane at the airstrip, black and shiny. "Second..." He turned to face Stefano, seeing the dumfounded and almost disappointed look in the man eyes, he smirked knowing he had done that, served him right for eating in his damn car. "...I don't eat shit like that" he muttered before he opened the car door, taking off his seatbelt, he stepped out of the car, leaving a very shocked to the core Stefano, who just stared at him as he made his way to back, opening the door, he pulled out his small duffle bag that he had stuffed with things he needed for the trip to Italy.
Stefano didn't say anything, as he put the other half stick of licorice in his mouth, at least he still had that with him. He stepped out of the car, the first thing he was greeted with was Matteo's face, he had also just brought his head out of the backseat, draping the duffle bag over his shoulder, his eyes hardened when they came in contact with Stefano.
His blonde and sleek hair was all Stefano could focus on, they shone under the hot sun, like he had added glitter to it, he bet they felt as soft as it looked. They were kind of ruffled as a few strands fell on Matteo's face. He didn't even spare Stefano a glance as he walked towards the huge plane at the air strip.
Stefano couldn't help but watch his back as he walked, he was putting on a purple buttoned up shirt and black pants, that hugged his ass perfectly well, Stefano quickly looked away as he walked towards the same way as Matteo.
He stepped in line with Matteo matching the long strides the man took, he was a little bit taller than Matteo, so he could almost see the middle of his head, he wanted to say something, but he didn't know what to say And Stefano always had something to say, but it seemed everytime he was around the blonde, he always lost words to say. "Ever been to italy"? He asked, regretting it almost immediately, of course Matteo had been to italy, he was literally answering the name Matteo. Stefano almost face palmed himself.
God he sounded so stupid and he even felt more stupid when Matteo had totally ignored him and just made his way up the stairs of the plane, Stefano followed him until they entered into the luxurious airplane
The inside looked just like the outside, black with golden lines decorating it, the seats were sleek black leather seats, they were greeted at the entrance by a very beautiful brunette young woman who flashed them both a sweet smile, but Stefano could already see that it wasn't just a smile, it was a flirtous smile and it was directed at Matteo.
He clenched his jaw as Matteo smiled back at her, as if he was entertaining her. "Welcome Matteo" she said sweetly "it's been a while we saw you" she added completely ignoring Stefano as he bypassed both of them, feeling his whole body go from nervous to angry, he found a seat close to the window as he sat down, still watching them
They were now talking but he couldn't hear them, or he wasn't paying attention enough to hear what they were saying, he didn't care though He just gritted his teeth and looked away, as he balled his hands by his side.
He looked out the window, his mind going back to the trip they were about having He only said he wanted to come because of Matteo, it had been a while he'd been to Italy.
He was born there but he left a long time ago, it took him a long while after he left to return back, and it didn't make going back any better. He hated the place, it held a lot of bad memories for him, memories he didn't want to relieve.
He even changed his name so he could live freely but one couldn't just erase a memory by trying to erase your name. It was like a scar, embedded in his mind. He could never forget.
And now he was going back there, not because he wanted to or needed to, but because he wanted to be around Matteo and the blonde didn't even know it His eyes left the window again and landed on the blonde, this time he made his way towards where Stefano was seated.
Instead of sitting beside him like Stefano had expected, he sat on the seat opposite him, staring at him with a hard glare as if he was going to laser him or something. He felt himself relax with steel cold, blue eyes on him, even though they were glaring holes at him, he still felt at peace at that.
"Where's your bag"? Matteo blurted out and Stefano just stared at him, before he smiled at him.
"I don't think I need one" he told the blonde, because truly he didn't think he needed one, because he didn't plan on spending forever in Italy, he was only going there because of Matteo.
Matteo snorted, earning a raised brows from Stefano "So you're gonna be wearing this.." he gestured to what Stefano was wearing, making him to feel a little self conscious at what he was wearing.
Surely it didn't look that bad, he knew he should have worn something better, he probably looked stupid in his roundneck and black slacks "Till Monday"? Matteo muttered out
"If I need a change of clothes, I'm going to get new ones there" he said gently, contrary to the insecurity he was feeling inside, he tried to sound calm and relaxed.
Matteo snorted out again "so you're gonna get new clothes, just because you feel too lazy to pack a bag"? He asked as if it was unbelievable, Stefano just shrugged, but deep down he kind of felt elated that at least Matteo was talking to him, he wasn't ignoring him like he expected.
He did even know the plane had taken off, not until he looked outside and saw that they were already midair.
It wasn't as if he felt too lazy to pack a bag, but if he stopped to pack a bag, he would have had second thoughts and chickened out of the trip, and that would mean he wouldn't see Matteo till Monday, he didn't even want to think of that
Everything he'd done since the night of the shooting had been to see the blonde, even when he asked Spade to let him have Matteo, he didn't really need Matteo for anything, he just wanted a reason, an excuse to always be around the blonde and he got it.
Okay, this is just a part from Matteo and Stefano's book ☺️☺️
As you can already tell, Stefano has the hots for our Blondie 😩😩
