He'd been laying the way he woke up for the past 30 minutes, feeling the ache coursing through all his body, every nerve in him was on fire. The pain he was feeling was enough to kill him but he was not dying just yet, not until he finds out where his sister is, but first he needed to get out of here. He didn't know how long he was out for again, but seeing that his father hadn't come down yet, he was sure it wasn't two hours yet.

He sighed out as his mind left the brooding issues that was enough to keep him up and drifted to grey, brooding eyes as his thoughts spiralled to Spade. One of the reasons he was locked up here. No, no, his mind chided him, Spade wasn't the reason he was locked up here, he's not going to blame Spade for his luck, with or without Spade coming for his sister, his father had always been like this, that has nothing to do with Spade.

His mind swayed to his mother, her beautiful face and soothing smile, the way her eyes always shone with kindness and love for them both, he kept wondering if she was alive would their lives still be like this? Would she stand up to their father on their behalf, even though he wouldn't listen.

He sighed out, unable to move, he was stuck just laying there like a log of wood, there was no window, so he couldn't exactly tell if it was midday, morning or night time.

He heard the loud scraping of the metallic door being pulled open, he managed to look sideways, still feeling the heavy feeling in his head, he could feel the swell in his eyes and his jaw, he definitely looked pretty bad, if only a mirror was here for him to have a good look at himself.

His father strode in, still looking very much the same as he looked earlier on, only he was much calmer now than he was before. He didn't look away and neither did he say anything.

His father just stopped in front of him, watching him, with his hands shoved into his pockets "Your two hours are up" he muttered watching Nate, Nate just shut his eyes sighing out and clenching his jaw, mentally preparing himself for another whirlwind of torture.

His father squatted in front of him, titling his head sideways "are you ready to tell me where she is now"? He asked

Nate grounded his teeth almost regretting it immediately, as he felt the pain in his jaw intensify. He opened his mouth to speak but the swell on the side of his lips and the one on his jaw was preventing him. He tried again "I... I... I don't know" he croaked out barely audible for his father to hear, the man nodded looking away from Nate before he grabbed him by the collar pulling his face up, making sure Nate's whole body shook, he hissed at how much pain his whole body felt, even his head felt like someone took a bat to it

"Protecting her won't save her" he muttered gruffly, still more alcohol smell oozing from his breath "tell me where she is and I won't have to hurt her" he persuaded.

Nate's barely good eyes watched him, knowing this was only just a ploy to cajole him, but he didn't even know where his sister was, and even if he did, he'd die before he tells his father.

"I... I.. don't... I swear.. I don't know where she is" he croaked out feeling his throat clog with unshed tears and huge lumps of tears blocking his throat, his eyes was already getting blurry and hazy as he rapidly blinked the tears away

His father narrowed his eyes on him for a good second before shoving his away and cussing out lowly. "I believe you" he sighed out "but I also believe you can help me get her back" he added quickly making Nate to dread what he was about to say, nothing about his father came easy or free "I'm gonna let you go, on the condition that if she reaches out to you, you're gonna bring her to me" he muttered watching as Nate's eyes widened in horror, he can't do that to her. He wouldn't do that to her, he slowly starts shaking his head, his father quickly gripped his jaw making him grimace and groan out at the pain moving through his head and face. "What's that"? He asked looking into his eyes with a very crazed and delusional look "I'm not asking you Nathan, I'm telling you, I don't care how you do it but you're gonna find her and bring her to me" he muttered before forcefully shoving him away, this time he was able to catch his balance and save himself from the hard fall he was about to experience

He groaned at the ache that soared through his body, every bone feeling like they were being pulled and twisted in all directions.

His father stood up straight, still looking at him with the distateful look, before shoving his hands into his pocket. Without another word to Nate he strode out of the basement, leaving the door wide open, Nate looked ahead of him, with hazy vision, a busted up lip, a bruised and almost covered eyes, he knew this was his cue to go, his father had just let him go, whether he agreed to it or not.

He sighed out and tried to get up, but he fell back down the moment he felt all the joints and muscles in his body feel like they were being broken all at once. He groaned out in pain, breathing hard, he placed his palms on the hard floor and relaxed all his weight on them, before slowly using his knees to support himself, he was now hunched over on all fours, his eyes moved to the door again and he swallowed calculating how long it'll take him to get there.

He slowly pulled himself up, feeling the strong ache and the surge of pain in every part of his body, it had been a long time he had felt pain like this.

He managed to keep a steady head, as his head kept swaying from front to back, he stood up and tried to stand straight, but he groaned, his face contorting in pain as he felt the pain in his ribcage intensify, this made him clutch to his stomach tightly as he almost fell down again.

He was panting as he looked at the door, still wide open, he took the first step, feeling like a toddler learning how to walk, he took another and almost lost a step, falling on one knee, he groaned out in pain.

Letting out a deep breath, he used his hand as a support system on the ground to pull himself up again, preparing himself for what was ahead, he managed to move another step, one foot in front of the other, with his body swaying from side to side. The pain in his body, moving like a virus.

He managed to get to the door as he leaned his frame on it, breathing hard and fast, he swallowed still clutching onto his stomach, he pushed himself off the door and placed his hands against the wall, looking ahead it felt like he was looking at an endless road, his vision swaying from hazy to clear, he shook his head, making his vision steady a bit, he started moving a bit swaying from side to side but the walls served as pillar for him as he walked further towards the steps.

He got close to the steps and stopped, looking down he groaned, dreading the trouble and extra stress and time it would take him to get up this stairs, he sighed out feeling the ache in his head and his stomach, he took the first step, putting his leg on the first stair, he managed to put the other, with his hand still holding the wall.

He traced his steps up the stairs until he finally got to the huge metallic door, he placed his hands on the door knob, and took in a deep breath before pulling the door with all his strength, he felt the joint and bones in his arms ache so badly, he felt like he would actually rip the arm off and rid himself of the pain but that was next to impossible.

He grimaced at the blinding lights hitting his face, he finally stepped outside, swaying in his steps, there was no more wall for him to lean against as he walked, so he had to do it on his own, he clutched to his stomach, he strained and started moving away from the door, groaning and swaying in his steps, he got closer to the living room and lost his step falling down with a loud thud, he groaned feeling his body hit the ground, he felt his whole body lit with unimaginable pain as his head became heavy, along with his eyes, he shut them tight.

"Oh my God" he heard a lot gasp, making him open his eyes, meeting blue, sad and calm eyes staring down at him, he recognized Laura as she stood over him, her eyes glazing with unshed tears. She quickly bent over him and pulled up his arm, he groaned and grimaced in pains as he felt the ache in his body increase by ten times. Laura helped him get up, draping one of his arm around her shoulder, she pulled him with her, trying to get him upstairs but he stopped her shaking his head. "My car" he managed to croak out, he didn't think she'd hear him but she did, giving him a questioning look, he just nodded assuring her that he was sure

She pulled him towards the door, barely able to hold him up "What did he do to you"? She whispered but he couldn't answer, he just groaned and followed her blindly, with his half closed eyes.

They stopped in front of the door and she managed to pull the door open, while she struggled to keep him steady, with his arms draped around her shoulders, she put him in front as he walked out first, she followed behind him, still supporting him.

The men stationed outside didn't even react or move to help, as if they were robots or blind to what was happening, Laura managed to drag him to his car, he placed his hand on the car roof, groaning as he felt the sun hit his body. Laura was trying to open the door but it was locked, and the key was nowhere to be found, he groaned trying to talk to her.

He rested his back on the car and she moved closer to him "Keys, pocket" he moaned out in pain, as she frantically nodded and started searching his pocket for the keys. She found it on the left hand side of his pants pocket, she pulled it out and unlocked the door, before helping him up from the car, she helped him enter the car, he took the key from her and she looked at him with pity, he just looked at her and managed a smile a way of assuring her that it was okay.

She slowly closed the car door, while he rested his head on the steering, feeling his head pound and thump hard with hot blood rushing from all part of his body there.

He was dreading how he would drive out of here but he didn't have much of a choice, he had to leave, at least to get to his apartment.

****

After sitting for the whole day in his office being completely unproductive and in a foul mood, he's stressed, tired, frustrated and has the worst possible mood you can think of. The day had proven to be one of the worst days he's experienced in a long while. Even smoking didn't help him at all, and neither did drinking a half filled bottle of scotch.

He was on edge, thinking hard about everything that had been happening to him since he met Nate, asides the little trouble he's had with mystery man that was trying to bring him down. It hasn't totally been smooth for him, personally he was fighting a lost battle, a crisis he couldn't win. Against himself.

Denying himself of this strange feeling, telling himself it was fucking wrong, but at the same he itched to feel more. But the rational part that felt it was wrong, successfully time and time and again pushed Nate away, making him see things in a different way.

And now Nate was gone, disappeared just like that, now he didn't get to find out if he was just being delusional and crazy with this fucked up strange things he was feeling or if Nate felt it too. Of course Nate never felt it, if he did he'd still be here, or maybe he did but his loyalty to his father outdid Spade.

He sighed out and stood up from his chair, pushing it back, he started walking towards the door, heading out to the backroom, away from his office, and away from the music in the club.

He opened the door and stepped out into the dim lit hallway, looking right and left, he finally chose to walk left downwind, leaving behind the loud music coming from downstairs, he started advancing towards the door as his mind once again drifted to Nate. Fuck, he cussed himself at how pathetic he sounded and how crappy he felt.

He should be wanting to kill this kid for double crossing, maybe he wanted to kill him but he first he wanted to touch him, to feel his skin, to touch his lips, to taint his innocence and make him beg, not for his life, but for something else.

He groaned out as he increased his pace, fighting with himself was harder than he thought. This shouldn't even be a top priority for him but it was, and not because of Greg and stupid schemes, but because of that brown innocent eyes, staring right back at him in the back of his mind.

"Spade" he heard his name being called loudly, he shut his eyes, already knowing who would call him like that, since his little outburst to Matteo earlier on, he hadn't really spoken to him, he kind of owed him an apology or something of that sort.

He stopped and waited for Matteo to catch up as the blonde jogged towards him, stopping in front of him, he was catching his breath with an ipad in his hands. He let out a deep breath, licking his lips. "There's something you need to see" he muttered, his eyes going soft and somewhat sad, before he slowly moved closer to Spade, opening the iPad. He clicked on it and showed it to Spade.

He felt his blood run cold at what he was seeing, his fingers suddenly went numb as his hands flew and gripped the iPad, he narrowed his eyes at the image playing in the screen.

His lips slightly parted as he watched the person on the screen unmoving, lying face flat, just at the entrance of his apartment.

"When was this"? He asked feeling the slight semblance of fear creeping into his veins, invading his very sense of thinking.

"I just saw it now" Matteo muttered watching Spade's facial expression, he could see the conflicted look in his eyes.

Spade clenched his jaw "Did you see where he came from or when he came in"? He asked gritting his teeth together and Matteo just shook his head

"No, I was just going through the camera feeds and I stumbled upon it, I don't know how long he's been there, but I don't think he's moving Spade" he muttered feeling himself lose his own nerve too.

Spade clenched his jaw tightly, gripping the iPad tightly. He felt his blood boil and heat rushed towards his head and his ear. He could barely even hear his own heartbeat as fear clawed at his heart. It shouldn't be what he was thinking.

He shoved the iPad into Matteo's chest, quickly changing course he headed for his office, Matteo followed hot on his trail as he entered into his office, he picked up his suit jacket and his keys.

"What are you doing Spade"? He asked watching Spade and he grounded his teeth

"Just take care of things here for me, I'll be back soon" he muttered, expecting Matteo to understand him, he didn't even feel like explaining himself right now

Matteo already understood as he could see the worried lines etched on Spade's forehead, he clenched his jaw and nodded his head.

Spade gave him a curt nod before strolling out of his office, he headed straight for the stairs, he could feel all his calm and collected resolve go away with the wind. He couldn't imagine what had happened to Nate, the way he saw him lying on the video stirred something akin to fear inside of him.

He swallowed as he walked down the flight of stairs quickly, he took long strides as he ascended the last stairs and walked through the clubs dancefloor, there weren't much people because it was still early in the evening, but the music was already blasting.

He barely even noticed anyone in the club before opening the door and stepping out, it wasn't dark out yet, he opened his car door and stepped inside, with his hands trembling a bit, he let out a deep breath, taking in another huge gulp of air, steadying his heart rate and trying to control this feeling of uncertainty and doubt inside of him

With the internal crisis he was having, he doubt he could do anything right now, he needed to calm down before driving away from the club.

After a while of doing the breathing exercise, he put his car into ignition and drove off, away from the club, with one destination in mind.

Finally 😩😩😩
