Nate was dumbfounded and shocked to the core, watching the bullet go straight through the strange man standing on the podium, he watched it all happen in the blink of an eye and before he knew it, the man feel down with a thud.

He'd watched someone get killed before but it didn't make the feeling of throwing up right now go away, it didn't make watching another one any better, instead he felt more shitty and shaken than before.

Spade hadn't even seen the whole thing go down, while he was looking around the hall, Nate had witnessed it and it was the reason why he was still shaking visibly as he felt the sweat in his palms become much and moist.

He was still on the spot Spade had left him about a few seconds ago, he could hear his heartbeat as each thump felt like his heart was seconds away from exploding. With his parted lips, his throat was parched and dry.

He could still hear multiple gunshots in the background, if he knew he would have stayed home, he wasn't cut out for this. The moment Spade had walked up to him earlier on, he should have known everything about this event was going to go wrong, just like the first time he'd been to an event where Spade was present, he'd witnessed someone get killed again and this time it was worse, he didn't know if he would be a victim of the current terror going on just a few feet away from him

He could hear the commotion and noises but his brain was too fried for him to even react to it, all he could focus on was the sound of his heart beat and the way his head was feeling heavy with a headache threatening to start anytime soon.

He could feel his breath coming out In short harsh gasps as he tried to take in huge gulps of air, trying to slow his racing heart and stop the raging terror inside of him, he could already feel himself slipping from the real world as he felt his heart cave in with tightness

He started taking in air through his mouth and letting it out through his nose, a panic attack was threatening to wreck through his body and this wasn't the right time for that, in fact no time was ever the right time for a panic attack

Crawling through broken glass, amidst the commotion in the hall, Spade had somehow eluded the gunshots as he could still hear them loud and clear, now it wasn't just the shooter outside that was shooting, some of the guards and men inside were trying to shoot back at whoever was shooting the building.

His cloth covered elbow was crushing and moving through shards of glass as he kept crawling and hiding behind tables, making sure he was well hidden from any angle the shooter might be shooting from. With all the noise in the hall, he could still feel and hear the crunching of glass beneath his shoes.

He should have just declined this stupid invitation in the first place, but if he did he wouldn't be here saving Nate and God knows what would have happened to the kid, he resisted the urge to turn back and look at him.

Deep down he knew it was a bad idea having such a party with this much important, dangerous and somewhat wanted men in one place at the same time. His mind kept warning him against it, what if it wasn't even an unknown shooter but the police themselves.

Everything about this party smelt wrong, he let out a deep breath stopping just close to the podium, his eyes moved up to the huge open windows and almost all of the glasses were gone, making everything easier for whoever the shooter was, but he was out of sight from the windows, but he still needed to be careful.

Getting up slightly, his eyes rested on the body of Liam, the man he'd been talking to just a few minutes ago, now laying down lifeless, a bullet to his head.

Spade didn't waste anytime as he walked with haste towards the door he could already spot on the left end of the hall, he got to it and pried it open, stepping into an endless dark long corridor, his eyes moved back to the hall and landed on where he'd left Nate, the young man just sat there unmoving but he was quite safe and secure there, nothing could get to him, at least until when Spade would come back for him.

He entered the corridor and closed the door, having no idea if it led outside. He fished out his phone from his pocket, quickly dialing Matteo's number he put it on his ear, hearing it ring, after a while he picked up, he could hear the shuffle and still quietness before he heard Matteo's voice

"Spade" he muttered, passing through the corridor, his eyes darting around looking for an escape route

"Where are you Matteo"? He asked and heard the noise and shuffling again

"Penthouse, you back yet"? Matteo's asked

"Not exactly, I need you to come get me" he muttered still looking around, his eyes frantically searching for an out, he took the next and only turn he found in the corridor going straight down another corridor.

"Come get you? Are you stuck in traffic or what"? Matteo asked playfully

"There's been a shooting and I think a lot of people are dead and are gonna die, Liam is dead, I could get out on my own but there's someone here with me" he finished his mind drifting hack to the young man he left in the hall, the line went silent, he pulled the phone away looking at the screen thinking Matteo had cut the call

"I'm on my" Matteo muttered before the line went dead, Spade shoved the phone into his pocket as he could see a red door with the bold inscription on it 'Exit'

He rushed towards it and tried opening it but it was locked, he cursed out and tried hitting it open but it was metal and hitting it was only wasting his time, he raked his teeth through his lips, thinking of how he'd get the door to open, Nate was still waiting for him and he didn't know how long it'll take Matteo to get here.

He let out a frustrated breath as he scratched his head, letting his eyes move down the corridor, seeing nothing but darkness. He could still hear the gunshots from the hall, his mind divided in two places, Nate was still there unprotected.

He looked at the door again before dashing out of there, he would get Nate first and then when they got here he'd figure out how to get the door open, Nate was his priority now and leaving him alone in the hall suddenly sounded like the most stupid thing he could have done.

Rushing past the corridor, he quickly pushed the small door he had come through open and stepped back into the scattered and disorganized hall, with men still crouching and some shooting at the windows, he rushed towards where he had left Nate, bending down to avoid the bullets moving round, he stopped in front of Nate, he looked much calmer than he did before Spade left him

"Hey" Spade whispered breathlessly making Nate to look at him with expectant eyes. Brown, scared and gloomy eyes stared back at him. Without uttering any words, Nate just stared back at him. "I found an exit, let's go" Spade muttered before getting up a notch and looking above the table, still seeing the ruckus in the hall, he brought his head back down "We're gonna get out of this table right now, you follow my lead and don't sway away from me, no matter what" he warned and Nate just nodded

"Okay" he whispered, his voice coming out low and scared, Spade's eyes moved to his parched and pink lips, before he looked back at his eyes.

He took one look at the gun in his hands, making Nate's eyes to rest on the black shiny object, Spade reached out his hands and grabbed Nate's hand in his, making the younger man to gasp out lowly and suck in a huge amount of air, his eyes landing on their hands together

His face heat up, and his neck was getting hot, he could feel his heart hammer against his chest, as tingles and shots of electricity shot through his fingers and coursed through his whole body.

Spade didn't even notice the effect that single action was causing on Nate's body, he did it subconsciously, he gently pulled Nate with him as they both crouched down, hiding behind tables as they crawled their way to freedom, leaving the noise and gunshots behind them. Nate looked at their enjoined hands and looked back at Spade, he could feel his hands slipping away because of the moist, it made him self-conscious as he tried to move his hands from Spade's grasp but Spade only tightened his hold on Nate's hand, not minding that his touch was messing with the younger man's mind.

Unknown to Spade, someone had been watching him from when he entered back into the hall and now the person was following him closely, far enough so he wouldn't be noticed and all the while hiding so he wouldn't get shot.

Spade kept pulling Nate with him, until they got to the podium, just a few paces away from the door he'd walked out of the hall. He felt Nate still beside him as he no longer followed him, he looked behind and saw that Nate had come to a halt, his eyes trained on the podium and his eyes showing pure undiluted terror, his lips slightly parted.

Spade followed his line of vision and his eyes landed on the dead body of Liam laying there with his eyes open, he sighed tugging at Nate's hand, bringing the young man back to reality "We have to go, come on" he muttered before pulling him gently towards the door.

It took Nate a few seconds before he was able to peel his eyes away from the dead body that had it's eyes open as if staring at something amusing. He felt his skin crawl with terror and fear.

He followed Spade like a lost puppy as the man pulled him towards a door and pushed the door open, they both stepped inside the long dark corridor, he looked back and the door closed making him flinch slightly, Spade felt the slight fear and he looked back at Nate, his eyes conveying a message to Nate, as if he could trust him and everything would be fine.

He gently led Nate through the corridor as they took the left turn and he sighted the exit door, sighing out in relief, he led Nate down the corridor and they both stopped in front of the exit door, Spade still hadn't let go of Nate's hand.

He looked at the young man again, already regretting what he was about to do but it had to be done, his grip tightened around Nate's soft and slender hand as he gave him a soft and gentle look, before slowly letting go off his hands, gripping his pistol with both hands, his fingers resting on the trigger, he looked back at Nate "Step back" he muttered, making Nate take a few steps back, already waiting for what was about happening, he placed his palms over his ears, and Spade faced the door, pointing the gun at it before pulling the trigger.

The loud bang resonated through the corridor, echoing and scaring the spirit out of Nate, he could hear loud ringing sound in his ears, and Spade's voice suddenly sounded muffled

Spade moved closer to him and let his large hands cover his small ones, before pulling his hand away from his ears and turning him to face him, Nate looked into those grey orbs and he saw the gentleness in them as Spade looked at him softly, with so much care, he didn't need to say anything for Nate to know what he was trying to tell him, the gesture warmed Nate's heart as he felt it pick up, beating faster, without letting go off his hands, Spade tightened his hold on Nate's hands as he gently pulled him with him towards the half opened door.

He pulled it open and they both stepped out of the building, feeling the cool breeze hit both their faces, it blew and pressed Spade's suit to his body, outlining his perfectly chiseled abs, Nate's eyes drank in the sweet look of Spade's body.

Spade's eyes darted round the pitch black streets, there was no sign of Matteo, his hand was still clutching to Nate's hand, feeling the moist and wetness of it, he wasn't even disgusted in the slightest by it, but he liked how perfect Nate's hands felt in his, it was like they were tailored to be kept inside his huge callous ones.

He heard footsteps and he quickly pulled up his gun and turned to his right side aiming at whoever was coming, then he saw a breathless Matteo rushing towards him, he let out a breath of relief, he pulled Nate with him, all the while still holding his hand tight.

"What happened"? Matteo's asked his eyes moving from Spade and landing on a very confused and lost Nate, whose eyes glanced at Matteo and quickly looked away, his eyes darting around the dark streets

"I don't know, but I'll explain to you later, let's just get out of here first" Spade rushed out before Matteo nodded, his eyes landing on Nate again, letting his eyes move down they landed on Spade and Nate's enjoined hands, in between both of them, he narrowed his eyes at it before looking back at Spade.

"My car's parked just around the corner" Matteo muttered before turning around to walk away, while Spade tried to pull Nate with him but the younger man stood still making Spade to stop in his track and turn to look at him, question in those grey orbs as he stared at Nate

"What about my car"? Nate all but whispered, his eyes set on Spade and the man just let out a deep sigh

"We're gonna come back for it tomorrow, when everything dies down, for now we need to leave now" he whispered, still not letting go off Nate as his eyes tried to reassure the younger man, Nate looked at him and then his eyes moved to Matteo and the blonde just nodded slowly, as if telling Nate he could trust Spade. Nate looked back at Spade before swallowing and nodding his head

Just as all three men turned around walking towards Matteo's car, they heard a loud creaking sound coming from the exit door, Spade and Nate just walked out of

"Are you guys just gonna leave without me"? They heard the voice making them all stop abruptly, Matteo already recognized that annoying voice even before looking at the person, he cursed out lowly, before turning around and his eyes met with semi hazel, dark eyes, as the owner had a lopsided grin like smirk on his face, making Matteo want to roll his eyes.

Spade had the same angry look on, jaw clenched and the hand he used in holding Nate's hand became rigid and tight as Nate could feel the slight pain and uncomfortable feeling in his hand

His eyes looked up at the man he'd played poker with in the casino, standing there smiling just like that day at the Casino He didn't need anyone to tell him that Spade wasn't overly fond of the man in front of them, but he didn't understand why someone with just a carefree smile on was on Spade's bad side. But he didn't even wanna explore that thought now because once upon a time he was on that table, even without doing anything to Spade, the man had put him on his bad side, even now he still wasn't sure if he had gotten to Spade's good side or the man was just being overly nice because he wanted something from Nate.

I'm not really good with these shooting scenes, but I'll keep trying my best 😁😁
