While you had initially planned on befriending Kitty, the motivation to do so was draining. You had no idea who this guy was and yet he always seemed so exhilarated to speak with you. Even when you shunned him and left him on seen in favour of talking to your actual online friends, Kitty was never deterred. And now he had seemingly infiltrated all of your friend groups in the blink of an eye.

You had expected at least one user to be as equally disinterested in him as you were but Kitty became the latest praise in all your servers. You even began to envy him a little. Once your friends added him to the group chats and your guild in Valoria Online, he instantly became one of a favourite. They all humoured his unique texting style and applauded his combat skills in the games you played together.

"This guy is a level 99 sweatlord. Holy moly." you mumbled to yourself bitterly after an intense game in VO. As the group mage (and occasional healer), you were used to being a prime member of the guild. Everyone relied on you for survival during boss fights and online battles but ever since Kitty's arrival, you felt useless like you had been cast aside and demoted to an insignificant side character. Suddenly your once all-powerful spells and attacks felt pathetic in comparison to Kitty's game-finishing blows. Then again, maybe it was about time you had some friendly competition. You shook your head, feeling guilty about your sourness toward the user. "God, why am I being such a hater? I need to touch some grass or something. I mean... who cares if he's better than me? Loads of players are better than me at the game. I'm not even on the leader board. If everyone's happy about him being here so should I."
