Song~ Hotel - Montell Fish

The second the guards see me they immediately open the gates so I can get into the mansion's property.

They nod in greeting to which I nod back.

I make it to the front door and receive a sad smile from Paul and Randy. I give them both a nod before opening the front door and stepping inside.

The familiar foyer greets my eyesight and I mentally remind myself to talk to Seb about adding some decorations to these walls. It's quite bland.

I walk further into the mansion and see that no one is in the kitchen or the living room since the lights are off, which I am grateful for. I begin to make my way upstairs after seeing no one is downstairs.

However, the second I walk upstairs Giavanna just has to walk down the stairs. She stops upon seeing my presence.

"Hey, You're back." She states giving me a small small smile.

I roll my eyes, "yes, I am." I mutter before continuing to walk up the stairs. Suddenly a hand wraps itself around my arm stopping me from walking further.

I turn my head to her glaring at her hand on my arm. She still doesn't move it. "Look, it's good for you that you are back here I guess and I'm really happy to see you..." she pauses her well put together fake speech. "Just don't tell anyone what I did all those years ago." She tells me, her tone harsher than the sentence before.

I scoff, "and if I do?" I question a mischievous smile on my face.

"Look, just don't. I'll make your life hell, and believe me, I could do it." She says, trying to scare me.

Key word: trying.

I chuckle darkly. "Oh sweetheart." I mock. "My life is already hell, you can do nothing to me Gia. So if I want to tell them what you did, I will." I tell her, a grin settled on my face.

She rolls her eyes, "whatever you say Dio." She mocks like I previously did. "But don't cross a line that can't be uncrossed. I'm not kidding about my threat, don't say a word to them about that day." She says before walking away.

I scoff for what feels like the thousandth time today before heading up to my room.

I manage to make it to my room without running into anyone, however Lucian is in my room just laying on my bed reading one of my books.

Who does he think he is?

Your best friend obviously.

True.

"You're in my room." I state walking in to my closet.

"I am." He says simply, still laying on my bed. This bitch, if he wasn't my best friend.

I finally pick out an outfit and walk out the closet to find Lucian sitting upright on the bed and the book neatly discarded to the side.

When Lucian sees me he gets off the bed and wraps me in his embrace. Lucian and I are not the touchy type of friends, we only hug when we haven't seen each other in like a week or something is wrong.

So him hugging me definitely means something upset him.

"Lucian, are you okay?" I question pulling back from the hug to look at his face.

He laughs lightly, "am I okay? Diovanna, you're speaking! Do you know how big that is?" He asks with a smile playing on his lips.

Now really thinking about it, it is a big deal. I haven't spoken in ages and all it took were some comments from my grandfather to make me snap.

So this really is a big deal.

"Yeah, it is a big deal." I mutter now that I'm actually thinking about it.

I look back at Lucian only to see him lost in space. I snap my fingers in front of his face. "It is a big deal, so you, Cas, Atlas, Nik, and I are going to go to a club." I state excitedly.

I actually love going to clubs, especially when I am not on a mission. Th Blood Doves never let us go out, but when I was in a club for a mission I would grab a few drinks and dance for a little before going back to the school when I completed my mission.

I did get caught a couple times and was thrown into the pit but the clubs were always fun.

A grin forms on Lucian's face. "It's just going to be us, so like, we're a group of friends you know! Well except Cas and Atlas, they are definitely more than friends." I add with a laugh. Lucian narrows his eyes at me.

"I don't think Casandra is the only one who isn't just friends with a guy." He states with a smirk. A scowl settles itself on my face.

"Nikolaos and I are just friends, nothing more." I state firmly. "Now, it's only..." I trail off checking my watch. "10:30 AM so you can do whatever you want until 8:00 PM because then, we're going get the others and heading to the club." I say effortlessly changing the subject.

Lucian sighs with a smile. "Whatever you say darling." He mutters before leaving my room.

Good I have some work to do.

I pull out the journal I stole from the Blood Doves and go over to my desk and start working on one of their special technology projects.

This one is a robot. It's as small as a fly, and it can fly around and hear everything. A whispered conversation, a conversation behind closed doors, it can fit under the door to gain access to locked spaces in the house.

It can also give me a view of what the device is seeing. It records everything. So when I want to listen all I have to do is put in a tiny earpiece and it will play all the recorded conversations for me.

If I want to see the footage the device recorded, I can watch from my phone, laptop, or tv. But if I really want to be secretive, I can put the given chip on the inside of any type of glasses and the footage will play for me.

I should have stolen this book a long time ago.

I have the fly-drone built, I'm just doing some modifications on it to make sure it runs right.

I told them I know everything, because I do.

A knock sounds at my door and I mentally thank myself for finishing fixing the new technology ten minutes ago.

That would have been hard to explain.

With a sigh, I get out of bed and open the door. Domenico gives me a lop sided smile, I shake my head and open the door wider for him to enter.

He does so. I close my door and sit back on my bed. Domineco has been nothing but nice to me, I don't want to get attached but I think it's too late for that.

Domineco paces back and forth with his eyebrows furrowed. "Domineco?" I question. My voice seems to snap him out of his thoughts as he stops pacing and faces me, a soft look in his eyes.

"Diovanna, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry. I didn't know what our father was doing- I should have seen the signs. Thinking back I- I noticed you limp sometimes or- or wince at certain things." He rambles.

"If I had asked you why, maybe I would have known? I could have helped you. It's my fault, I should have did more the day father sent you away-" he explains, guilt lacing his tone.

But it isn't his fault.

In a swift motion I'm off my bed and wrapping my older brother in my embrace. I may hate physical touch but he seems to need the reassurance that it's okay- that it isn't his fault.

"Dom, I need you to listen to me." I murmured pulling back slightly so I know he is listening to me. He nods. "The only person to blame, is our father. Not you, our father." I say sternly.

My brothers tend to seem like big bad boys who seem scary but on the inside they are teddy bears who need reassurance that things aren't their fault.

No doubt our father blamed them for things that weren't their faults.

Fucking stronzo. [asshole]

Dom nods. "Can I hug you again?" He questions softly. A small smile settles on my face and I pull him into another hug.

"Diovanna?" Domenico calls out. I hum in response. "You know I'm so proud of you- of the woman you have become. I may not have seen you grow up, but looking at you now- you've become a strong independent woman." He confesses.

But that strong independent personality wasn't free, was it?

"Thank you Dom, I'm glad I'm here with you- all of you." I say honestly.

"We're glad you're here too." He replies.

Not all of them.

It's currently 7:00 PM. Domenico left my room a few hours ago after our talk. But now, it is time to go tell Nikolaos, Atlas, and Casandra they have to come celebrate with Lucian and I.

Lucian ended up telling Luca about us going out tonight. Can't keep secrets from his future boyfriend. But Luca isn't coming with us, he has some 'work' to finish up, aka mafia shit.

But he told us to be safe and call if we needed anything.

So sweet.

So right now I'm neatly folding a dress into my bag along with putting some heals in the bag. I of course am bringing my thigh holster for my guns and knives.

You can never be too careful.

I also put a couple make up products in the bag since I'll be getting ready at Nikolaos's mansion even if he doesn't know we're all going out tonight.

He doesn't get a choice.

When I'm sure I have everything, I throw my backpack on, grab my phone, and head over to Lucian's room.

Lucian walks out his room before I can even knock, a backpack rests on his back like mine.

We both grin at each other before heading to the garage.

The second my hand lands on the doorknob, my eldest brother's voice rings out.

"Where are you headed?" He asks. I turn around only to find Sebastian, Domenico, and Ares waiting for an answer. Dom gives me a small smile which I return.

"We're headed to a friend's house for the night." Is all I respond with before turning back around.

"Okay, be safe and text any of us if you need something." Domenico replies before the three of them head to the dining room.

Wow, that was easier than expected.

Lucian looks at me, but I just shrug my shoulders.

Nikolaos, are you ready for a party?

I sit at my office desk, trying to get some work done, but my thoughts are being consumed by a certain brunette.

Why is she always consuming my mind? I have no clue, and I hate it. But as much as I hate it, she is all I can think about.

I hear my front door slam open and laughter.

I swear, if Atlas brought some drunk ass people home again I'm going to kick his ass.

I abruptly get up out of my seat and make my way down the stairs to the first floor. But as I get closer I begin to recognize that laughter.

Diovanna?

"όμορφο κορίτσι, back so soon. Miss me that much?" I tease as I walk into the kitchen where I find both her and Lucian with two backpacks. [pretty girl]

What are they up to?

She scoffs. "You wish i missed you." She says rolling her eyes. I clench my jaw at the attitude she used. I'll let it slide, for now.

I sigh while rubbing my temples. "So what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you here όμορφο κορίτσι?" I question.

She grins at me. "We're going to a club, you, me, Lucian, Cas, and Atlas!" She says happily.

"I never agre-" I start but she cuts me off. "Nope, you don't get a choice! Lucian is going to tell Atlas, and I'll tell Casandra while you get ready." She says sternly before walking away.

Lucian smiles at me. "You heard the boss, go get ready." He mocks with a smile before patting my shoulder and walking out to go get Atlas.

What am I going to do with you όμορφο κορίτσι?

~/~/~

Atlas, Lucian, and I have been sitting on this couch for the last hour waiting for the girls to get ready. When we asked if they were almost ready they replied with "no, beauty takes time." And slammed the door in our faces.

But Diovanna is already beautiful.

The clicking of heels against the marble floors gains the attention of the three of us. The three of us stand up and straighten out our suits.

Casandra comes down the stairs in royal blue dress with sparkly laced strapped heals.

Diovanna, she looks stunning. Her short red dress showcases some of her many tattoos, while the color of the dress compliments her well tanned skin.

Diovanna catches my eyes and we just stay with intense eye contact as she makes her way down the stairs.

I eventually avert my eyes and clear my throat. "Ready to go?" I question. Both Diovanna and Casandra reply with a yes as we make our way to the garage.

Atlas, Casandra, and Lucian make their way to Atlas's black Mercedes. Diovanna goes to follow but I grip her wrist and pull her softly towards me.

"You are riding with me." I state. She doesn't seem to care as she shrugs and hops in the passenger seat of my blue Lamborghini.

I like it when she is happy.

I hope into the drivers seat of the car only to find Diovanna connecting her phone to the car to play her music.

"Have you never heard the saying driver picks the music?" I question with a raised eyebrow.

She shrugs with a smile. "Does it look like I care?" She fires back sarcastically.

"Whatever you say όμορφο κορίτσι. Just don't make my ears bleed." I mutter while pulling out the garage and going to the gates of the mansion.

Once on the road, I notice Atlas's car a little ways ahead of me. We're going to one of my clubs here in Italy, it's safest if we're not in any other mafia's clubs.

Never will Atlas and I make that mistake again.

The song 'Hotel' by Montell Fish begins to play. I glance over at Dio only to see her attention focused on the window with a smile on her face.

This girl.

I avert my eyes back to the road moving my head to the beat of the music. Diovanna's voice rings out through the car.

"You like this song." She asks. I don't even have to look to know she is smiling, I can hear it from the tone of her voice.

I hum, "mhm." I reply.

"I bet." I hear her mutter.

I chuckle at her comment. The rest of the ride is pretty quiet, except for the occasional teasing and the music playing through the car.

We reach my club and Diovanna immediately hops out.

It's going to be a long night.
