Song~ Me and The Devil - Soap and Skin TW⚠️⚠️
I pull into the warehouse building to meet my brothers. Guards are stationed at every inch of the property- more than there usually are. I notice a lot of the guards giving me not so subtle looks of wary.
I scoff making sure my bandanna is tied around my face. I place a device in my ear. I had created it through the blueprints of the book I stole from the Russians, it allows me to change my voice either deeper or higher.
Very handy.
I check to make sure my weapons are ready and strapped to me before grabbing my phone and jumping out the car.
I make my way to the beat up doors of the warehouse, I glance at the guards, a few of them giving me nods of respect but cannot meet my eyes. I nod back.
I grin under my mask. I'm not these men's boss, I don't even work for their mafia, hell the deal to work together isn't even settled but these men know who I am. They have heard the stories and they fear me. They fear me because they know what I'm capable of.
Good.
One of the guards open the door for me and follow me inside. "Don demanded I show you the way, so please follow me ma'am." He tells me politely.
"No need, I know the way. Thank you for your help." I respond honestly. It's true, I knew the layout of the place like the back of my hand.
He looks shocked at my politeness. "Uh, well, yes ma'am. I'll let Don know you're on your way." He mumbles pushing a button on his earpiece speaking into it.
I will not reveal my identity unless they figure it out. They probably won't.
I begin walking down the hallway, the only sound heard being my shoes hitting the floor.
I reach two large double doors and take a deep breath before pushing them open.
Here goes nothing.
I am in this meeting room with Domenico, Ares, Dante, Alessia, Alejandro, Emiliano, and Amara. We are talking about ways this meeting could go. Well everyone but Amara and Alessia who seem unfazed about this whole meeting.
The door to the meeting room is suddenly pushed open and in walks a woman with a bandanna wrapped around her face concealing her identity. However, something about her is so familiar I just can't pinpoint where i know her from.
She walks in, the air in the room immediately becoming tense. We all know the story's of what the assassin Dove has done or is capable of.
She is the devil in human form, and we're about to make a deal with the devil.
She glances at Amara and Alessia who are both leaned back in their chairs, arms crossed over their chests, and legs crossed. She then moves her gaze to the rest of us stopping on me. "Let's get this over with, shall we?" Her voice deeper than I expected it to be.
I nod, "yes please have a seat." I say gesturing to the open seats around the table. She takes the seat at the head of the table across from me, a couple seats away from Emiliano. "Thank you for coming." I tell her honestly, because without her, we probably won't be able to take down the Russians.
She nods her head at me. "So, you want my help with the Russians?" She questions why she is here.
"Yes. You probably have already heard of the vendetta between the Italians and the Russians, And eventually the Sicily mafia joining our side in the vendetta between the mafias." I stare glancing over at Alejandro.
She looks at me waiting for me to continue. "We want your help to take down the Russian mafia once and for all- end all of there sex trafficking rinks, free the innocent people they have taken as prisoners, overall just end their mafia."
She sighs rubbing her forehead. "I'll help, but first you need to understand what you're dealing with. Because the Russians are not just working alone." She explains causing me to furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
"They're working with another mafia?" I question.
I hadn't heard they were working with anyone through the years so what is she talking about.
She shakes her head. "An assassin group, Blood Doves" she explains further.
Now this causes a red flag to go up. If this so called group Blood Doves was working with the Russians and her name was Dove, would Dove be working for the Blood Doves?
Dante draws his gun, the rest of us follow suit- except for Amara and Alessia who are just watching the scene unfold. What are they doing? We can't risk any Russians on the inside.
Even with six guns pointed at her she remains calm. "No need to draw weapons boys." She says. "You wouldn't want to start something you wouldn't be able to finish, do we?" She mocks, a warning hidden in her tone.
"How do we know you're not working for the Russians?" Dante questions cautiously, fearfully.
Dove leans forward from her relaxed position putting her hands on the table leaning forward. "If I was working for the Russians, you would be dead right now." She states with a shrug. "Besides, if I was working for the Russians, why would I be killing them?" She adds.
Well she does have a point.
"What if you killed them because they were traitors to the Russian mafia? You could be tying up loose ends." Ares adds into the conversation.
"Now you're just thinking too much, they can do that themselves." Her tone lets us know she is annoyed.
Her eyes glance over to me before she stands up and begins walking my way with slow strides.
"Besides, you believe that the Russians I have killed would ever break Omertà?" She questions continuing to walk. "You're wrong, those men were too high up in the ranks and way too psychotic to break Omertà. Those men did something wrong to me- the whole Russian-Blood Dove organization wronged me, they were promised death, and I will bring it upon them." She explains.
Now I understand why people fear her, she is a woman out for revenge. She won't stop until she for fills that promise.
"I don't need your help in taking the Russians- or the Blood Doves down. You are simply helping me speed up the process." She states reaching me. "They will pay fratello." She whispers walking away from me and back to her seat leaving me utterly confused. "I suggest you put your guns down, that is unless you don't want my help and I watch your mafia crumble because you didn't listen to me and the Russians out power you." She mocks, fake sadness etched in her tone about our mafia. [brother]
My eyebrows furrow in confusion at her words. Brother? I'm not her brother, has she lost her mind?
I motion for my brothers and cousins to put their gun away and put mine down. "You are right, we asked for your help and you came. I put my trust in you, who are the Blood Doves?" I give in.
"Blood Doves is a group of assassins, no scratch that, they are a fucking army. They train little kids and turn them into blood hungry assassins." She spits in disgust, pausing seeming to think if she should say the next part. "I was unfortunately one of their, projects I guess is what you call it. I was their top assassin, until I got out. That day I promised death upon them." She chuckles darkly. "So, I'll help you take down the Russians however, the Don and his son are mine to kill." She explains.
Not gonna lie that was a little scary, and I'm a fucking mafia don for fucks sakes.
I nod. "As long as they are dead." I respond.
"Good, we will discuss this at a later date. I have places to be." She mutters standing up and walking to the door. When she has her hand on the door she turns her head over her shoulder. "Nice doing business with you boys." She adds with a wink.
When she leaves the building everyone visibly relaxes, well everyone who wasn't already relaxed. What is up with Alessia and Amara?
"What is wrong with you?" I exclaim towards Amara.
She looks up from her conversation with Alessia with an uninterested expression. "What are you talking about?" She asks.
"That whole time, you were relaxed, when we questioned if she was working for the Russians you didn't seem fazed that she could be lying, why?" I explain.
Her and Alessia both stand up. "You had it under control Seb, we didn't need to help." She tells me before her and Alessia walk out the meeting room.
I glance over to my brothers and cousins before sighing deeply.
I'm fucking tired.
I park my car in the woods and lock the keys into the glove compartment.
I had already took off my bandana and the earpiece along with my contacts.
I make my way to the back of the gate closest to my room, but when I look to make sure it's clear for me to sneak back up I notice a guard laying on the floor.
I hop the fence to get a better look but it only gets worse. Guards lay dead on the floor everywhere.
"Shit." I mutter climbing the pipe to my room. I take out my signature knife when I reach the balcony. This will have to be a silent kill.
I peak inside my room but don't see anyone.
I slowly open the door a crack, only enough for me to slip into the room. When I'm sure no one is in my room I make my way to the door and slowly sneak out of there.
When I get closer to the stairs I hear voices. "Let them go! They are kids!" I hear Matteo shout.
Kids? No... Ruth and Luna aren't supposed to be here.
"No can do. Blame your little friend Lucian here, or your little sister." A familiar voice exclaims.
It was at this moment I realized the attackers are not Russians. They were fucking Blood Doves assassins. People I had once trained with, I would have to kill them. And that put an unsettling feeling in my stomach.
I glance through the living room seeing about twenty maybe twenty-five assassins. Matteo, Giavanna, Lucian, Luca, Liam, Aunt Olivia, and uncle Raffaele were tied somewhere on the floor.
My uncle and Aunt were out cold but the rest weren't.
I look over to Ruth and Luna who are being held with Knifes to their necks, an old training groupie named Aaron was the one holding the knife.
I go back behind the wall taking a deep breath before counting to three and sneaking down the stairs. My footsteps quiet, nothing of my shoes could be heard and no one knew I was down here, i just hid behind the wall.
"Little sister? What do you mean?" Luca asks, probably confused because Gia was with him and I am just so innocent.
Me being the innocent girl I so am, I get behind one of the assassins who was off to the side, guarding the back door and slice his throat. When he goes to fall I grab him and set him down gently so he doesn't make a thud sound when he hits the floor.
24 to go.
"Diovanna? If she would just come out from wherever she is hiding, she will come with us and your precious little cousins will be safe." Another assassin I had trained with- Nix explains.
Gosh he is getting on my nerves.
I slice the throat of another guy by the entrance opening of the kitchen. The dick was to busy watching Nix that he didn't even have time to register me in his surroundings.
I drag him away closer to the other body.
"Leave Diovanna out of this!" Lucian's voice rings out. Lucian, please shut up and keep yourself safe.
Nix tsk's at Lucian. "Lucian, don't worry you'll come with us. Lucia misses you quite a lot." He responds.
I slit the throat of two bulky ass men and drag them away to the other body's. These fucking fat asses are heavy. When they are now settled in the pile of dead body's I make my way back to the rest.
21 to go.
I take the place where the two men once were, pretending to be one of them. I just have to blend in and they won't suspect anything. Blood Doves taught me that.
"What the hell is going on?" Luca voices out but before he could answer, the front door opens revealing Amara and Alessia. They look wide eyed at the situation and i know I have to do something when two assassins go after them.
I pull my gun out the back of my pants and start shooting at the assassins. I kill five before they could even blink.
16 to go.
Two of the assassins grab Alessia and Amara but I shoot them both in the head before they could do any harm.
14 to go.
Someone grabs me and flips me over their shoulder. I hit the floor hard. A wheeze leaves my lips but I roll over getting up. The man smirks at me. But his little moment of triumphant comes to an end when I grab the knife out my bra throwing it straight into his chest.
He drops to the floor and I yank my knife out his chest.
"Dio! Duck!" Amara shouts. I drop and a bullets flys above me before three guys behind me drop dead.
10 to go.
I look up and nod at Amara who had shot those men.
I move onto one of the men who looks to be beating the shit out of Lucian. I fire a bullet straight through his skull and he drops dead. This caught the attention of a couple other assassins but Alessia and Amara shot them before anyone could do anything.
Now there was only three left, however the last three were no ordinary soldiers, they were my old friends and a little girl, no possibly older than ten was now holding a knife to my little cousin's throats.
Nix and Aaron both had their guns pulled and ready to shoot at me. However, I only kept two knifes tucked in my pants.
"Nix. Aaron." I greet.
Nix smiles at me, but it's not a nice smile. No, it's a wicked smile. Evil.
"Dove, you have been missed dearly. Come back with us and we will let them go." He nods towards Ruth and Luna who are being held with a knife to their throats by the young girl.
"Nix." I start. "I don't want to kill you, we trained together. But if I have to choose between going back with you or staying with my family. I will kill you in a heartbeat." I tell him honestly.
Aaron scoffs. "Where is your loyalty!?" He shouts.
"Where are your morals!?" I shout back. I know damn well what we're taught in that place. I know the horrors they want us to do- to do to little kids. Why can't they understand that's wrong? That what they are doing is wrong?
He stays silent.
We were trained not to have morals, but I couldn't just let them go. I promised to never be like my father. That was a moral I would never forget. I would never do anything that happen to me while I was with the blood doves to anyone else.
Never.
"If you won't come back with us they die." Aaron finally says.
This time, something about his tone makes my blood run cold because I know this time, his threat is not empty. They won't hesitate- not even for a child.
"Then you leave me no choice." I mutter before taking the two knifes I had and lodging them into each of their chests. They didn't register anything before they dropped dead, people I once called Allie's were now lying on the floor in their own blood- because I had killed them.
I'm sorry.
I close my eyes for a split second to keep the tears at bay before turning to the little girl holding my cousins. She looks scared out of her mind, and I can't blame her. This girl can be no older than ten and they have her holding a knife to two four year old necks.
I kneel down in front of the girl. "Hey, can you tell me your name?" I ask softly. I know she doesn't want to kill Ruth or Luna, she is under orders.
"Arabella." She mutters softly. "They haven't given me a cool name yet." She adds.
I smile at her. "That's a very pretty name, but Arabella." I pause. "I need you to let them go." I tell her seriously.
She shakes her head violently. "If I go against Nix's orders and let them go, Mrs. Lucia will punish me! I'll be thrown into the pit!" She whispers the last part.
A sadness looms over me. She is so young and they are just corrupting her.
"It's okay, Lucia won't get to you. My name is Diovanna but a lot of people know me as Dove." I tell her making her eyes widen.
"Your Dove?" She asks almost fearful.
"I am, but I will never harm a child. You are safe. Just let them go." I reason with her. She seems to think before slowly backing the knifes away and dropping them to the floor.
I sigh in relief checking both Ruth and Luna over for any injuries but I find none. When I'm sure they are okay, I tell them to go to their mother who Alessia and Amara had already untied.
I turn my attention back to Arabella who looks at me, eyes full of guilt.
"I'm sorry- I didn't want to, I swear. But Nix said he would throw me in the pit if I didn't, and Mrs. Lucia! Oh she is going to kill me! I'm dead! She killed my best friend because he disobeyed her orders!" She rambles becoming panicked.
I gently put my hands on her shoulders to stop her talking as her breathing quickens. "Arabella, I need you to calm down. You're not going back there. I promise you, I will never let you go back." I promise softly.
She nods her head. "Arabella, how old are you?" I question.
"I'm eight." She tells me holding up eight fingers. I smile at her. "That's a cool age to be." I tell her.
She is only four fucking years older than Ruth and Luna, and they want to make her a killer.
She shakes her head. "Mrs. Lucia doesn't think so. She says I'm to naive and stupid." I clench my jaw in anger. This bitch is always destroying little kids hearts.
I look back to her, my eyes softening. "Lucia is a bitch, we don't give a shit about her okay? And don't say what I just said." I explain to her.
She giggles before nodding her head. "You're nothing like they said you were Dove." She speaks.
I look at her confused. "How do they speak about me?" I ask curiously.
She hesitates to answer but eventually talks. "They call you cruel, a monster, a machine. But they loved that about you. They talked about you like you weren't even a human. Silent and promising death." Fucking hell.
"We will talk about this later, how about I get you some new clothes, you shower, and eat something. How does that sound?" I ask changing topics. She doesn't really need a shower because there is no blood on her but I need to clear my head.
"Okay." She almost whispers.
"Okay," I say getting up from my kneeling position and turning around, only to come face to face with my older brothers and older cousins. "I'll take her to my room and get her a shower. We will talk later." I speak leaving no room for discussion.
"Yes we will." Sebastian speaks.
This may take a while.
~~~
A/N: was this badass enough for some of you or not enough?
Arabella, should she stay or should she go? If she stays she WILL NOT be veiwed as Dio's daughter!!! Dio will probably play the role Casandra plays in her life(but some twists will happen) or we could kill her off or just write her out. Any opinions? I will not give Diovanna a child in this book, I just want to make that clear.
Hope y'all enjoys this chapter.
Bye hoes.
