Weapon. Announcement. Night. Yeah, that much time had passed already. Chairman issued a notice, held an assembly, the AEI became buzzing with excitement, the city grew lively with anticipation, you got even more interview requests and media appearances––it was safe to say that things were busy for the past two weeks.
"Surprisingly, this dress is pretty comfortable to move around in."
As of right now you were walking alongside Lyle on your way to where the weapon announcement was being held. You ran into him by pure coincidence.
"Why'd you choose a dress?"
You glanced over to Lyle. Suits on muscular men were always an amazing sight. And with his purple hair slightly slicked back? The red tie matching his eyes? Sensational.
"For formalities." You did a twirl. "And also looking hot in a dress sounds nice to me. The announcement is getting broadcasted across the city."
You wished you could've worn heels to further elevate the attire, but you have not mastered the art of engaging in life or death battles in heels yet. Cecil definitely could, though.
Lyle narrowed his eyes. "You're beginning to act like Cecil."
"Happens to the best of us."
So where were you two headed specifically? Where was the weapon announcement held?
At the AEI building. AKA, very close to where the TDD's lab is located. At first glance, it made sense. A weapon announcement near where the weapons were created, duh. However, it basically gave easy access to kill two birds in one stone for those who were looking to interrupt the announcement.
The chairman was self aware, he knew there were those who opposed him. So, clearly, this was a 'what the hell is the chairman thinking' moment. Honestly, not even you knew the answer.
Those thoughts were set aside upon your arrival at the venue. It wasn't busy nor has anything started yet since SF members were instructed to come early. You saw staff members still getting tables set up, technicians checking on the lights, and so forth. Plus, in person attendants were restricted to selected members; division leaders and vice leaders, the SF team, government members, and sponsors that contributed generously to the AEI's funding.
But wow the space looked polished. You felt like the air just grew ten times more expensive when you walked in. The combination of black, grey white, and an unsaturated blue provided a very mature and sophisticated atmosphere.
I can feel my posture improving simply by existing here.
"Elias needs me for something," Lyle said. "I'll be off."
"You're leaving me???"
Lyle rolled his eyes and immediately ditched you, much to your despair. Just when you were going to lament about having no company, you heard Caleb's voice.
"Miss Support! Look who's all prettied up." He practically skipped over to you. "What a coincidence that we ran into each other, huh? Guess we have no choice but to stick together until the end of the announcement."
Caleb's hair was as fluffy as usual, but you could tell he had tried parting it to the side with gel, but gave up halfway. A look that is a fine line between professional and 'I just got out of bed'.
You crossed your arm, an amused hum on the tip of your tongue. "Wow, a coincidence. It wasn't like you spammed me with messages asking whether or not I was ready."
Fun fact, you heard through Elias that Caleb would sometimes time when you'd walk through certain hallways so he could 'accidentally' bump into you. The thought was hilarious and adorable.
Caleb shrugged. "I do not know what you are talking about."
"Ah, I guess I'm just spouting nonsense."
"Exactly."
You both chuckled at the silly exchange and you caught Caleb smiling fondly at you. As you glanced over Caleb's shoulder, you spotted a familiar young man with gold eyes.
"Oh, look. There's Amias."
"Perfect." Caleb grinned. "I'm gonna go annoy him."
"I'll come with."
Amias did his hair differently from his usual ponytail. It was a half up half down hairstyle that showed off the bleached parts under his hair very well. Amias was glancing around, searching for a familiar face. And thanks to how loud Caleb was, it took 0.2 seconds for Amias to notice you two. His eyes lit up and he happily joined you and Caleb.
"Heyy, it's the protagonist."
You almost thought Caleb broke the fourth wall there for a moment.
"New nickname?" you asked
"Mhm. Doesn't he give off protag vibes?" Caleb whistled in approval. "New hair as well? Wow, look who's all slick."
A slight blush dusted Amias's cheeks. "Sara taught me how to do it. Does it look okay?"
You were very quick to respond. "It looks more than okay."
"Hey, Miss Support. If you hand out compliments like that to others so casually I'll get jealous."
The three of you did some catching up (Amias complemented your dress!) before Caleb had to leave because Elias forced errands onto him. He dramatically parted ways with you and Amias.
"So we're supposed to basically protect the VIP guests, huh?" you said, looking over the spacious venu. You and Amias were currently walking around, scoping the layout of the place.
"I've never been tasked with a job like this before," Amias replied.
"Same here. I wonder if––"
Someone sharply bumped into your shoulder. If you had worn heels, you would've 100% stumbled.
"Excuse me."
That 'excuse me' did not sound apologetic at all. You weren't actually gonna start a fight over something so minor, but you would like to throw a petty glare at the person.
The woman had dark red hair and an intense gaze. You recognised her pretty quick; Brynn, that person on Lyle's previous offence team. Huh, so she's still up and running and was either a leader or a vice leader for her division. Despite having every reason to not like her, you had to commend her for that. After the social humiliation she facedanyone else would've gone into hiding.
"Brynn, long time no see."
You tried to keep your tone as neutral as possible. However, seeing Brynn's face made you recall the things Lyle mentioned about her. Specifically, what she said about you during the announcement of the SF members. And yeah, you were kinda mad about it.
The woman narrowed her eyes at you. "Wished it could've been longer."
Wait, huh. You were supposed to be the sour one here.
Brynn stepped closer to you. "What? Are you haughty now that you've got a high position? That you 'proved us wrong?'" She rolled her eyes. "You don't deserve to work alongside talented SF members. You stick out like a sore thumb."
Okay. You gotta admit, remembering how the offence team used to diss you, and then walking up in their face with your SF jacket was kind of liberating. But that was beside the point.
"Not haughty, confident," you corrected her. "I deserve to be here. I worked hard. And besides, because I stick out like a sore thumb, I was chosen as a SF member."
She scoffed. "Yeah, you played right into the chairman's hands."
Your annoyance subsided for a moment. "What do you mean by that––"
"I thought I called you here to get work done, not stir up trouble."
Brynn tensed up upon hearing Lyle's voice.
You tilted your head to meet Lyle's gaze. "Couldn't get enough of me?"
Lyle looked tempted to stop defending you right then and there.
"Oh, please. Acting like her friend now?" Brynn snapped. Despite her harsh tone, it was evident she was intimidated by Lyle. "You weren't any better in the past."
"You're showing a lot of attitude towards someone who can put you out of your job," Lyle said. "I know I wasn't better in the past, you don't need to spell it out like I'm a child. However, that's no excuse for you to waste everyone's. Go back to your task and leave the professionals alone."
Brynn definitely did not appreciate that last statement. "Wasting everyone's time? (Y/n)'s wasting her time and wasting a spot in the speciality force––"
"Please excuse us."
You were surprised to see Amias suddenly interrupt the conversation. He had a polite smile on his face, but you could tell it was strained. Amias grabbed your hand and began walking away, taking you along with him.
With an apologetic glance, Amias said, "I just remembered Elias tasked (Y/n) and I to run an errand. We should be getting to that now."
You followed him with little resistance. More than confused, you were worried.
"Sorry about that." Amias stopped walking with a soft sigh. "I lied about the Elias part."
You chuckled softly. "I figured. Were you uncomfortable?"
"Yeah..." He proceeded to mumble something inaudible. "If I didn't leave the scene, I wouldn't know what I would've done."
"Hm?" You looked at him in confusion. "Sorry, I didn't get the last part."
With a reassuring smile, Amias shook his head. "It's nothing important."
That was where the conversation ended. Soon enough, it was time for the weapon announcement to start. You greeted the guests, found out the group of people you were tasked to ensure the safety of, and showed them to their seats. A wonderful spread of food and drinks were present as well. You were counting down the minutes until you could indulge in them.
"(Y/n)! It's been so long since we had a chance to talk."
You had just wrapped up an exhausting conversation with a government official. Your expression lit up upon hearing the familiar voice.
"May!"
It was expected she would be here since she was a prominent sponsor of the AEI, but the woman was always so busy you never got a chance to hold a proper conversation with her.
May squealed cheerfully and immediately pulled you in for a hug youcouldfeelherchestpressingagaisntyou.
"How have you been? The team treating you well?"
"It's been hectic, but everyone's super great and supportive."
"Good! Just let me know if anyone causes you any issues, hm?" She nudged you with a wink. "Let your mother take care of this."
You and May quickly caught up. She mentioned the new projects she's been working on in hopes to improve the training conditions in the AEI even further, some of it involved taking Eve's invention into account.
"I was given vague details." May sighed. "Hopefully, this announcement clears a few things up. Stress isn't good for the skin."
In return, you updated her on how everyone was doing. You were so engrossed in your conversation with the older woman that you visibly expressed your disappointment when she needed to be somewhere. May laughed at your expression and patted your shoulder reassuringly.
"We'll talk more later, kay?"
"We better."
When May left, you decided to look around to find Ness and Luca. They were your previous support team leader and vice leader, so they should be able to attend this announcement in person.
Unfortunately, it was hard to find your two friends in the crowded space. Instead, you found Cecil engaged in a lively conversation with a group of sponsors and officials. Effortlessly, he was the centre of the conversation and had both men and women wrapped around his finger.
When Cecil's eyes landed on you, he smoothly excused himself.
"(Y/n), I had something to discuss with you." He approached you with a smile. Cecil's fingers intertwined with you as he glanced over his shoulder. "We'll talk some other time. It was lovely meeting everyone."
A barrage of positive feedback flooded Cecil. Sheesh. He really got them wrapped around his finger. After a few minutes of walking, Cecil let out a sigh of relief and let go of your hand.
"Thank goodness you came when you did," he whispered. "The conversation was exhausting."
You snickered. "You looked like you were having fun, though."
"All for business, my dear. I lost interest when I secured my connections. Shall we take a seat? The weapon announcement is due to start soon."
While you and Cecil took your seats, you were telling him about your conversation with May.
"Ah, I just missed her. That's a shame. She's been visiting my bar less often these days. It would've been nice to catch up."
"Everyone's busy these days."
"No kidding. Sure being busy is productive, but overworking yourself is bad for the skin."
"You sounded like May for a second." You laughed. "But things are only going to get even busier."
Cecil hummed in agreement. "Especially since you wanted to have a quick chat with me a week ago."
You sent a knowing smile. "What do you mean? It was just a casual conversation."
The lights in the building dimmed and a spotlight flooded the stage with a warm glow, a deep contrast to the cool tones of the venue. There were cameras and crew members around with their fancy equipment. There's a chance the camera would broadcast your face to the entire city. Better not show a weird expression.
Cecil suddenly leaned over to whisper to you. The close proximity caught you off guard for a moment and you could smell the subtle fragrance of his perfume; an undertone of vanilla.
"Think Eve's gonna make an appearance?"
"I doubt it," you whispered back. Don'tfocusonhischestdon'tfocus. "If they do, it's probably without showing their face."
The chairman appeared on stage looking intimidating as usual. He went over formalities, such as thanking certain sponsors and all. There was even a spotlight on May for her contribution. She deserved all the acknowledgement in the world, you would've brought glow sticks in her name if you could. Without her, the training facilities wouldn't be half as good.
"We'll progress onto the main announcement. However, it would not be conducted by me, but the one who was in charge of this project. They'll be taking over this assembly now."
You've never blinked so fast in your life. Huh. Wait, hold on. This wasn't part of the original game. The chairman was supposed to flash a projector behind him and say something along the lines of a voice recording.
Interest flickered in Cecil's eyes. "If this isn't who I think it is, I will be sorely disappointed."
You were too engrossed in your thoughts to respond to Cecil. Was Eve going to show up? During an announcement that was broadcasted towards the entire city? If so, was it because of your encounter with them? You didn't know whether to feel important or worried. The more involvement from Eve, the more information you can get. However, more involvement also meant more complications.
A figure walked onto the stage. Long pink hair, a height that towered over everyone in the room, and unique pink eyes with concentric circles in them. And, confirming everyone's suspicions, the name tag around their neck proudly had 'Eve' on it. You bet all the cameramen furiously zoomed in on that.
"No fucking way..." you mumbled.
Your sentence pretty much summed up what everyone else was thinking. If someone were to scan the crowd, you could hear the million thoughts running through everyone's heads, unable to voice their surprise in a professional setting. You could only imagine the chaos unfolding back at everyone's home for those who were watching the broadcast.
Even Cecil had a rare look of surprise on his face, but that was quick to turn into a sly look of intrigue.
"I didn't know what I expected, but I didn't think Eve would look around our age," Cecil said. "And for them to be such a looker."
"Of course you'd assess their looks."
"Sometimes we need to be proudly shallow."
Eve stepped up to the podium and checked the mic. It seemed like everyone was psychoanalysing their every movement from where their gaze was to the subtle twitch of their finger. Their expression was neutral and their demeanour composed.
"My apologies for the abrupt appearance, I'm sure not many, if anyone at all, were expecting my sudden appearance," Eve said. "However, this is a project that I have been passionately working on. It would be appropriate if I was the one who introduced it."
When Eve interacted with you they were energetic and chipper. Seeing Eve like this felt like an entirely different entity. Their voice that would be brimming with enthusiasm and expressive intonations was now steady and unemotional, their animated hand gestures and body language was now poised and commanding.
Eve moved onto the introduction of the weapons. Everyone paid close attention, even some of the high and mighty sponsors that looked down on 99% of people looked like school children eagerly taking notes from their teacher.
"As everyone's aware, apparition activity has been on the rise. Due to that, it has become difficult for AEI members to efficiently accommodate to every emergency. In response, I proposed a way to mitigate this issue. It would enable citizens to do things such as stall apparitions until help arrived or handle smaller exorcism tasks themselves so that AEI members could focus on more pressing operations."
A projector was flashed behind Eve.
"That's where weapons come in."
They proceeded to explain how the weapons were developed, some history behind it, initial stages, how they would function, logistics in who was eligible to use them––all that informative stuff. But of course, they left out certain confidential details.
One of it being what exactly was powering the weapons.
Towards the end, Eve answered questions and concerns from the crowd. Hands shot up like rockets. People were eager to have Eve's attention and they were able to answer everyone with quick and precise answers. The announcement ended without any issues. When the lights were back on and Eve had left the stage, everyone broke into chatter. Questions and surprises were finally being voiced, so the venue was loud.
Many searched to find Eve, undoubtedly jumping at the perfect opportunity to form connections with one of the most prominent figures in the AEI second to the chairman. You paid little attention to that, desperate to get some food on your plate now that the main event was over. Cecil was, of course, eyeing the alcohol.
"There should be a table reserved for SF members over..." You spotted a table towards the centre. "Found it."
"Perfect." Cecil had already polished off a glass of wine. "Shall we? The others will come soon enough. We can think of it as a short date."
"Miss Support! Over here!" Caleb was a few metres away, waving his hand enthusiastically to grab your attention. His plate was stacked with sweet things.
Cecil sighed. "So much for the date."
You three took a seat. You were not pleased upon finding out that cameras were still rolling, meaning you could be potentially broadcasted to the world as you stuffed your face. Cecil and Caleb, of course, loved the attention and you slowly found ways to have fun with the cameras thanks to them. When a camera man was getting too close for comfort, you returned the gesture by shouting a promotion for a game you've been brain rotting over (Caleb dared you).
The other SF members eventually joined you three. You were seated next to Cecil and Caleb, so Amias was distraught upon learning he couldn't be next to you. Cecil teased him a little before giving up his spot.
"I did not expect Eve to make an appearance like that!" Sara exclaimed. "Not even Elias knew. And he knows everything!"
"It caught me by surprise. I only assumed Eve was going to reveal their voice, not their face," Elias said.
"Did they just decide on a whim?" Lyle asked. "Why the hell did Eve hide all these years only to show their face now?"
Cecil hummed. "So mysterious."
Amias glanced over to one of the empty seats next to Lyle. With a curious tilt of his head, he asked,
"I thought this table was only for specialty force members. Why is there a spare seat?"
"Oh! I requested it."
Huh.
You felt a very tall presence behind you. Ah. Judging by everyone's shocked expressions, it was definitely Eve. This was the first and probably only time you got to see everyone collectively speechless. Eve disappeared after they made the announcement and suddenly decided to show up now? Now all eyes were on your table.
Elias was the first to recover from his surprise. After clearing his throat, he asked, "You... requested it?"
"Yup!" Eve's smile only grew wider, a fine line between cheerful and uncanny. "Why? Is there an issue?"
Unlike everyone else in this venue, this was the Eve you were used to. Smiling 24/7, bubbly, and unpredictable.
"There's no issue!" Sara smiled. "T-take a seat."
Poor girl stuttered.
Eve hummed happily and sat next to Lyle. You've never seen the guy tense around others besides maybe the chairman so this was a sight. On Eve's left was Jade. Now, Lyle and Jade were tall. But because of how tall Eve was you could almost delusion the two to be of average height.
Ever since your first meeting with Eve, you haven't had any communication with them. They didn't respond to your New years message, so you were hesitant to take up on their offer to visit them. You suppose you should keep your interactions with Eve on the down low—
"(Y/n)!" Eve's face lit up. "It's good to see you again."
The entire table gasped in unison, "Again??"
Eve blissfully ignored everyone's surprise. "I got your New Year's message. Sorry I couldn't reply, I was buried in work and forgot about everything related to the outside world."
"You have their number????"
Eve nodded. "Yeah! When (Y/n) visited my room, we exchanged numbers."
"You went to their ROOM?!"
Everyone looked at you shocked, betrayed, flabbergasted––all the words from the thesaurus. You were very entertained, but you also wanted the ground to swallow you whole.
Eve seemed oblivious to the chaos they ensued just by speaking a few simple sentences. "Oh, did you not tell them?"
"I mean, I thought it'll be best to keep it to myself since, uh, you said it'll be hard on you if word spreads about our interaction."
"Ohhh, I did say that." Eve theatrically spread their arms out. "Well, I changed my mind! After all, this is already being broadcasted live."
Oh my god. You forgot about the cameras.
Lyle looked at you. "You're going to have a lot of explaining to do after this."
Caleb was practically vibrating in excitement. "Should we get popcorn as well?"
You sighed wearily. "I'll give everyone a PowerPoint presentation later."
"Can I decorate it?"
You waved Caleb off. "Sure."
Eve glanced around the group, they seemed unsure how to integrate themselves in the conversation. You showed Eve an encouraging smile and they perked up.
"Actually, I have a reason for being here. I know I said I'll text you when they're ready, but..." Eve slid over a small box towards you. "Here! Your gloves are ready."
That is a fancy ass box.
Again, all eyes were on you. All. The entire venue and fifty million cameras. Great. Pressure opening up a box. You lifted the lid to find inside was the pair of gloves you requested.
Caleb peered over in intrigue. "Ohh, is it because your hands don't heat up like ours?"
"It's not so bad on regular operations, but when I exert myself my hands go numb from the cold."
Your hands almost melted at how silky the gloves felt. Carefully, you slipped them on. Comfortable, stylish, and practical. And they go well with your dress as well. You're feeling extra slick tonight.
"They fit like a... well, a glove." You smiled. "Thanks, Eve."
Eve returned your smile. "We're matching!"
You laughed. "We are."
Caleb raised an eyebrow. "Acting all buddy buddy now, huh? What's next? You two were secretly meeting up every other week?"
"This is actually the second time we've interacted."
"Ah."
"So!" Eve clasped their hands. It was a little out of nowhere, but you got over that quickly. "What does the team usually discuss? Does everyone have a turn sharing a topic? Or does one person carry the conversation? Do you guys pair up?"
You forgot Eve asked a lot of questions.
Caleb was quick to respond. "We discuss whatever comes to mind, though it always somehow involves some argument––but our coffee addict here likes to call it 'debate'––we don't have turns; we fight for it, I know I'm the best at carrying the conversation, we don't pair up, but I like to hog Miss Support's attention."
"Thanks for answering! You're very efficient." Eve beamed happily. "However, I am concerned about the amount of fights."
"Figure of speech. We don't actually fight." Caleb smiled. "Most of the time."
You had a feeling a lot of misunderstandings are due to unfold in the future because of Caleb's choice of wording.
"Eve, would you like me to get something for you?" Jade offered. "You don't have anything to eat or drink."
"Oh, it's fine. I don't want to trouble you––Or is it rude to refuse? After all, it is a form of rejection––that's no good. In that case, please do."
Jade needed a moment to recover from Eve's stream-of-consciousness manner of talking "Alright, what would you like?"
"I'm not a picky eater, but I prefer to avoid anything unhealthy."
Caleb frowned. "You're no fun."
"Taking good care of your health is important! And living a long life is fun in my books."
Lyle nodded. "Seems like you're reasonable."
I KNEW the two agree on that.
"But don't get me wrong," Eve clarified. "I do love treats here and there."
"What's your favourite?" Finn asked.
"Anything that's easy to eat while working."
Finn chuckled. "You sound like Elias."
Eve looked at Finn in confusion. "I don't think our voices are similar, though?"
"He means you act like him! Elias also likes to have things that are easy to do work with." Sara sighed. "Though, that means coffee 99% of the time."
Eve gasped. "A diet only consisting of coffee? It's a wonder how he's still alive."
As Sara proceeded to clarify that she was exaggerating, you noticed that Amias hasn't spoken ever since Eve arrived.
"Amias?" You whispered. "Are you okay?"
"Oh." He blinked, snapping out of his daze. "I'm fine. Just... thinking."
"Hm... Well, if you ever want to talk about it I'm all ears." You showed a reassuring smile. "Bottling things up isn't good."
Amias returned your gaze. For a moment, he was lost in thought again.
"(Y/n)!"
Eve had called out to you, interrupting your conversation with Amias.
"Y-yeah?"
"What do you think?"
"About?"
"My gender." Eve giggled. "Everyone's guessing whether I'm a woman or man."
"Oh!" You took a good look at Eve's features. Honestly, you could not tell. Their androgynous appearance and voice was spot on. "Uh... I'll say––"
A buzz came from Eve's phone.
"Whoops, I'm needed somewhere. Chairman calls."
Eve stood up from their seat and smiled at everyone. "It was fun chatting with everyone! I would love to say 'I'll see you soon', but that possibility is very slim." They giggled. "Hopefully, you guys stay alive long enough to see this project through! Goodbye now."
When Eve left the table, everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief.
"How in the world did you interact with Eve alone?" Lyle asked. "No, how did you meet them in the first place?"
"Like I said, I'll make a PowerPoint presentation later."
The dinner continued on without any other jaw dropping interruptions. As the minutes went by, you grew more nervous.
See, at this time Kein should already have broken into the TDD lab and begun his investigation and information gathering. Shen and James would make their move soon, and you've already talked to Cecil. You wanted to include Amias in your plans, but things were just too complicated.
Well, can't expect the plot to go by the original game when I've changed so much of it.
===
You seemed a little off today.
Of course Caleb would notice, he paid close attention to you. Could you blame him? Who wouldn't give extra attention to their crush? The one they gave their heart to?
At first, it was easy to brush off the signs. It was when Eve left the table where your tension was more apparent. Well, knowing his darling Miss Support, you had something in store for this weapon announcement. Caleb was just a little disappointed he wasn't let in on the plan, but that was fine. He was sure whatever happens, he'll be able to have fun with it so long as you were involved.
"Miss Support, you're zoning out." Caleb leaned closer to you with a smile. Was it an excuse to get closer to your face? Yes. Yes it was. "Not feeling well? Food not good? I can always cook something for you after this."
You snapped out of your daze and your hands stopped mindlessly playing around with your food. A pretty smile was on your lips when you met Caleb's eyes.
"I'm fine, but can I still take up on that cooking offer?"
"Of course! I'd make anything for you in a heartbeat." He winked. "But seriously, you're okay, right?"
You nodded. "Just processing the whole Eve interaction."
"Ahh, gotcha."
Obviously, Caleb was jealous. You and Eve have only interacted twice and the two of you seemed so close already. He wanted to ask what the two of you talked about, but he'd have to wait until later.
Eve was a mysterious individual with uncertain connections. Yeah, sure. They played a significant role in the AEI––they invented the very gloves that prevented Caleb from facing the same fate as his older brother. However, there was something off about Eve.
So it was no surprise your involvement with them concerned Caleb. How much information did you two exchange? Did you make any promises? Why did Eve approach you? Did they have an agenda in mind? An agenda that could hurt you?
It's nothing dangerous, right?
Obviously, he'd be dumb to think that you'd never be in danger. It's the AEI for crying out loud. You'd have better luck doing a million consecutive backflips than not finding yourself in hot water whilst in this profession. However, Caleb really couldn't afford to lose another person he cared about.
Your smile was reassuring, your words made him feel safe. Yet, Caleb felt like you were the easiest to slip through his grasp. The easiest to disappear without a word.
Not you.
Caleb continued chatting with the group. Behind his usual cheerful expression and carefree jokes was a bubble of emotions ready to overflow his mind.
If it's you...
Just for a brief moment, his expression fell.
I don't know if my heart can take it.
A/n: 'The easiest to disappear without a word.'
Foreshadowing? Maybe. Who knows. This is a happy story. 👍 .
Also the SF team being collectively baffled at Yn's connection with Eve is something I think is meme worthy lmao
