He could feel someone touching his face while another set of hands gently held his shoulders, as if trying to calm him down before he received whatever news was coming.

He wasn't joking when he said he could hear the panicked breathing of his second oldest brother as they anxiously waited for the doctor to check his eyes.

"Yeah, he's fine" the doctor said, scribbling something in his notes before turning his gaze back to the boy in front of him.

"He just needs to rest until his eyesight returns" he informed them, but his words didn't seem to ease the tension in the room. Taufan looked extremely stressed, his hands gripping his hair in frustration.

"How long will that be doctor?" Sensing his brother's distress increasing, Ice took the initiative to ask. The alien doctor sighed, hesitating for a moment before looking at them with an unreadable expression.

"Unfortunately, we don't know for sure how long it will last."

And just like that, the bad news of the day had arrived.

Taufan practically yanked his hair harder, while Ice's concern for their brother deepened.

"It could last an hour, a week... even years-"

"WHAT?!" Taufan practically screamed, his hands gripping his hair tightly.

"You are saying he could be blind for years?!" The doctor sighed but didn't seem surprised by the reaction.

"I understand this is difficult to hear, but his condition is temporary and his vision will return, we just can't predict exactly when"

"That's not reassuring at all!" Taufan snapped, pacing in frantic circles with his breathing erratic, his mind spiraling into panic.

"Hali and Gempa are going to kill me!" he wailed, tugging at his hair.

"I was supposed to protect both of them and here I am! redirected the attack straight at solar's face!"

"Chill, he's not dead" Ice said, leaning back against the examination table, arms crossed.

"We don't need another Gempa" Taufan turned to glare at him.

"Ice, this isn't funny!" Ice met his gaze, unimpressed.

"I am not joking, If you keep panicking like that, we will have two Gempa level meltdowns to deal with" Taufan groaned loudly, dragging his hands down his face and was about to retort when Solar finally spoke.

"I am fine" His voice was quiet but firm, It was the kind of tone he used when he wanted everyone to stop fussing over him.

"It's not like I am dying or anything, it just burns a little." Ice turned his head toward him, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"You hate the dark Solar"

Solar froze.

"You can't see anything but pinch black right now" Ice continued.

"That doesn't bother you?"

Silence.

Solar's hands which had been resting on his lap, slowly clenched the fabric of his pants, his breathing which had been steady, hitched just a little.

He had been trying to ignore it, pretend that this wasn't a big deal, that everything would go back to normal soon. But now that Ice had said it out loud, he couldn't unhear it and couldn't unfeel the suffocating void around him.

No light, No shadows, Just endless black.

His fingers twitched and Ice ever observant caught it immediately with Taufan's panic returned in full force.

"Oh no" he whispered, pacing again.

"Oh no, no, no, He's scared, I knew it, I knew it-"

"I said I am fine," Solar interrupted, forcing his voice to stay even.

"I can hear you guys, i can feel you here So I will be fine" He exhaled slowly.

"Probably" he continue internally, taufan didn't look convinced but Ice gave his shoulder a firm squeeze.

"This doesn't make it fine Solar" Ice said firmly with his grip on Solar's shoulder tightened just a little, grounding him.

"We know you are not feeling calm right now" Solar tensed, his fingers twitching again. He wanted to argue and say that he was fine but what was the point? Ice always saw through him.

Meanwhile, Taufan was still pacing, muttering under his breath, completely caught up in his own panic.

"Hali and Gempa are going to kill me... No wait, First they are going to yell at me" he stop for a moment before he continue pacing around the room with the doctor sweatdrop at his panic state.

"Then they are going to kill me And then... oh no, what if Hali doesn't even yell? What if he just gives me that look?" He groaned, dragging his hands down his face.

"And Gempa... Oh stars, he's going to be so disappointed" horror flashing over his face.

"Taufan" Ice said dryly.

"can you panic quieter?"

"I can't! I just blinded our youngest brother!"

"Temporarily" the doctor corrected unhelpfully while Solar let out a small sigh, leaning slightly into Ice's grip.

"I think I preferred it when Taufan was screaming"

"Same" Ice muttered before he sighed, rubbing his temple as Taufan continued his panicked muttering.

If he let this go on any longer, their second oldest brother might actually pass out from stress. Turning back to the doctor, he decided to cut to the chase.

"So... what do we do now?" The doctor who had been watching Taufan with mild concern, blinked before clearing his throat and reached into a drawer to pulled out a small bottle of eye drops.

"He needs this twice a day, once when he wakes up and once before he goes to sleep" the doctor instructed, handing the bottle to Ice.

"It will help with any irritation and keep his eyes from straining while they recover" Ice nodded, muttering a quiet Thanks as he slipped the medicine into his jacket pocket.

Then without another word, he gently took Solar's hand in his own, giving it a reassuring squeeze before turning to the real problem in the room.

Taufan was still pacing, still muttering and Ice had had enough.

With a practiced motion, he reached out and yanked Taufan's collar, stopping him mid spiral.

"Come on" ice grumbled, dragging him along as he guided Solar out of the room with taufan let out a strangled noise, his feet scrambling to keep up.

"H-Hey! Let go! I can walk!"

"Yeah? Then stop acting like a malfunctioning robot" Ice shot back, adjusting his grip on Solar's hand as they walked down the hallway.

Solar to his credit was trying his best to keep up but Ice could still feel the tension in his fingers, the slight hesitation in his steps as his grip tightened just a little, grounding him.

When they made their way out of the clinic, Ice exhaled through his nose.

"This is ridiculous" he thought.

Taufan was supposed to be the responsible one between the three here but between his panic attack and Solar pretending to be fine when he clearly wasn't, Ice felt like he was the oldest now.

And he really, really didn't like that feeling.

.

.

.

.

The walk back was quiet, save for Taufan's occasional muttering under his breath, which was starting to wear on Ice's patience.

Solar's grip on his hand had loosened slightly and Ice could feel the weight of the darkness pressing in on his brother. He squeezed his hand tighter, but Solar didn't seem to notice.

They turned a corner and entered the training room where they know the rest of the brothers are, the sounds of practice, punches landing, the hiss of flame, and the crackling of thunder hit them first.

In the middle of the room, their oldest brother Halilintar was in a fierce duel with Blaze, the two of them were evenly matched, but it was clear from the energy crackling between them that neither was going to back down anytime soon.

Gempa and Thorn were seated off to the side, watching the duel with interest. Gempa was the first to notice them as they entered, a warm smile spreading across his face.

Thorn stood up from his seat, his usual innocent excitement lighting up his face as he ran toward Solar and without a second thought, Thorn wrapped his arms around his youngest brother in a tight, affectionate hug.

Solar however froze in surprise, the sudden movement caught him off guard and his body tensed. The lack of vision made everything feel disorienting and the darkness seemed to close in around him.

He tried to steady his breath, but his hands which had been resting at his sides, instinctively rose to push against Thorn's chest, his voice shaking slightly.

"Thorn...!" Solar gasped, his words breathy, as if the simple hug had knocked the air out of him.

He felt exposed, vulnerable and trapped in the suffocating black void, he pulled back quickly, not wanting to show how deeply unsettled he felt, but his body was still rigid.

Thorn pulled back immediately with his brow furrowing in concern, he frowned as he noticing the difference in Solar's reaction.

Solar had always welcomed these kinds of hugs but this time, the warmth he usually returned was absent, the tension in his younger brother was as clear as day.

Solar's hands were now clutching his pants, his fingers twitching like they wanted to grab onto something, anything, to anchor him to reality.

Gempa observing the shift in Solar's behavior raised an eyebrow, he didn't need to look at Ice to see the subtle shift in his brother's expression, the way his posture had changed.

He could see the tension in Solar and it didn't take a genius to figure out something was off.

"Did something happen?" Gempa asked, his voice low and concerned as he stepped closer.

Solar opened his mouth to say something, to brush it off but the words caught in his throat.

He blinked, trying to ignore the unsettling sense of nothingness around him, but the blackness was almost suffocating as he could feel his heart racing, and he instinctively tightened his grip on his pants, trying to ground himself.

"I am fine" Solar finally said, his voice quiet, but it didn't have the usual confidence behind it.

He forced a small shaky smile that didn't quite reach their eyes, he didn't want to admit it, he didn't want to let anyone know how badly the darkness scared him, how much it made his skin crawl.

"I am just... I just didn't expect that" he added quickly, trying to mask his discomfort as he clenched his jaw and took a steadying breath.

"I can't see right now so"

"Hold on, what do you mean you can't see?" The words came from blaze as both him and halilintar walk over, already finished their practice.

His eyes immediately shot over to his youngest brother, who was standing off to the side, his posture tense and his hands clenched around the fabric of his pants, the sight sent a chill through Blaze's chest and his heart skipped a beat.

At the same time, Halilintar's gaze quickly shifted to Solar, noting the way his younger brother was acting fidgeting, uneasy, and looking far too stiff for someone who normally would have been more confident.

Gempa's brow furrowing slightly as he exchanged a quick look with Halilintar before looking at Taufan who caught their attention next.

They can see how stress he is by the rapid muttering from him, His hands were gripping his hair as if trying to hold onto something to keep himself grounded.

His frantic eyes darted between Ice and the others, looking like he was on the verge of a meltdown himself.

Ice stood beside Solar, his expression unreadable as he gave Taufan a sidelong glance. It didn't seem like Taufan noticed, as his mind was too caught up in his panic.

Halilintar stepped closer, his voice low but serious as he addressed Taufan.

"Taufan, what's going on?" Taufan looked up at him, his words tumbling out in a rushed, worried mess.

"I am so sorry, I didn't mean it! it was an accident, I redirected the attack and Solar!... he's fine, he's fine, but his vision messed up for now and we don't know how long, didn't mean for this to happen, I swear!"

Taufan practically shouted, bouncing on his heels as his hands tugged at his hair again, clearly falling apart.

"Taufan" Ice's voice cut through his brother's spiraling panic.

"It's temporary, the doctor said it's temporary, remember?" Taufan glanced at Ice for a moment, his hands twitching in frustration, before turning his gaze back to Solar, his worry written all over his face.

"But what if it's not? What if something happens to him?"

"Okay can someone please explain to us?" Blaze out of curiousity and inpatient decided to ask.

"Because what Taufan said earlier didn't make any sense" true to his word, all of them are exchanging confused looks, their brows furrowed as they tried to process Taufan's frantic explanation.

It didn't make sense, not with the way Taufan was speaking at lightning speed, this obviously cause ice to sigh as he pinch his forehead.

"Its a long story"

"Shorten it"

"solar's blind, but-"

"WHAT?!"

"let me finish!" Ice took a deep breath before calmly continued after being interrupted, his tone unruffled as usual.

"Basically, an enemy threw poison at Taufan" he started, still speaking in his steady, composed voice.

"Taufan tried to redirect it, but... it accidentally hit Solar in the eyes, he's temporarily blind now, he can see again but we don't know when for sure"

Silence fell over the room as the weight of his words sank in, blaze's eyes widened with his fists clenching. Halilintar's expression darkened, his usual stoic demeanor shifting into something unreadable.

Gempa inhaled slowly, his gaze flicking between Solar who was still standing stiffly and Taufan, who looked like he was on the verge of another panic spiral.

Thorn standing closest to Solar, looked up at him with concern, his hands twitching slightly, as if resisting the urge to reach out again before Blaze broke the silence first.

"You are telling me..." His voice was strained, his usual bravado laced with something dangerously close to anger.

"that Solar temporarily can't see right now, and you didn't lead with that?!"

"I tried to but someone cut me off" Ice deadpanned, shooting him a pointed look.

"That's not the point!" Blaze snapped, running a frustrated hand through his hair before turning to Solar.

"Why didn't you say anything?!"

"Ice just did?" Solar muttered.

"That's not what I meant and you know it!" Blaze shot back, his sharp glare losing some of its bite when he noticed the way Solar's hands twitched at his sides.

His silence only made the room feel heavier as halilintar finally stepped forward, placing a firm but careful hand on Solar's shoulder.

"How bad is it?" Solar hesitated.

"I... I can't see anything" His voice was quiet, but steady.

"It's just... black" Halilintar's fingers twitched slightly on his shoulder but otherwise, he didn't react.

Gempa however, inhaled sharply as Thorn took a step closer, his face scrunching up in worry.

Blaze let out a string of curses under his breath, rubbing his face roughly.

"Okay Nope, I hate this, I hate this"

"You are not the only one" Taufan muttered miserably, halilintar's grip on Solar's shoulder tightened, grounding him, but his voice remained steady.

"And the doctor said it's temporary?"

"Yes" Ice confirmed.

"He gave us some eye drops for him, Twice a day" ice said while pulling out a small bottle.

"And we just... wait?"

"Basically"

Silence again.

Gempa finally sighed, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Alright... then we will just have to be patient and help Solar until he gets better" His voice was gentle but firm, an anchor amidst the tension.

Blaze still looking frustrated, exhaled sharply through his nose.

"Yeah, yeah, of course we will, what do you think we are, heartless?"

"Well, you did yell at Solar earlier" Ice pointed out.

"I was frustrated!" Blaze snapped, crossing his arms.

"Blaze" Halilintar warned and Blaze huffed, muttering something under his breath before Gempa clapped his hands together lightly.

"Okay, since we are all on the same page now, what's the plan?"

"First we need to make sure Solar gets to our room safely" Halilintar said, his tone final.

"Then we will figure out the rest" Solar frowned slightly as he felt someone try to carry him.

"I can walk you know" he said while pushing the said brother away gently.

"Ice, you will help him and Taufan get a grip" halilintar finally decided after he saw how solar dislike the idea of being carried.

"I am trying" Taufan muttered but at least he looked like he was regaining some control over himself.

"Fine, but I am not gonna stop being mad about this" blaze sighed loudly.

"No one expects you to" Ice replied dryly which cause solar to let out a small exasperated sigh.

"You guys are making a big deal out of nothing" Halilintar gave him a look which solar guess as a deadpan look.

"You hate the dark" Solar tensed slightly while ice hummed.

"Told you so" Solar groaned, dragging a hand down his face.

"Okay fine, it's not nothing, Happy?"

"No" all of them answered at the same time, solar sighed with his shoulders slumping slightly.

"Of course not" Halilintar squeezed his shoulder one last time before stepping back.

"Come on, Let's go" solar could feel someone holding his hand gently and guiding him to leave the training room, as they all turned to leave, Solar exhaled slowly.

The darkness still pressed around him, cold and suffocating but with his brothers around him, their voices filling the air, grounding him, he could breathe a little easier.

.

.

.

.

.

It was late and Solar was more than ready to sleep But before that, there was one last thing

His eyedrops.

Taufan sat beside him on the bed, holding the small bottle in his hand.

"Alright tilt your head back" he instructed, his voice light but firm, Solar obeyed without hesitation as he trusted Taufan.

The youngest was used to his older brothers taking care of him when he in a situation that he can't be left alone like now, so its basically useless trying to do things on his own.

"Okay, stay still baby brother" Taufan carefully aimed the dropper over Solar's eye.

"Ugh, don't call me that"

A single drop landed.

For a moment, nothing happened.

But then...

"AAHHH!!" Solar's body jerked as his hands flew to his eye. A burning, stinging sensation spread like wildfire.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" he half shouted, rolling onto his side as his face twisted in agony which cause taufan's heart nearly stopped.

"S-Solar?! What's wrong?!"

"IT BURNS!!" Solar groaned, his voice strained as he kicked at the blankets, Taufan panicked with his grip tightening on the bottle.

"W-What do I do?! Did I grab the wrong one?!" The commotion had already started attracting attention as blaze who had just finished brushing his teeth, poked his head into the room.

"What's going on-" He froze at the sight of Solar practically writhing on the bed.

"Oh... Oh wow, What did you do?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" Taufan was panicking while blaze, ever the troublemaker couldn't resist.

"Bro, did you just blind him even more?"

"SHUT UP AND HELP ME!" Meanwhile Solar was gripping his blankets, groaning.

"Why does it feel like my eye is MELTING?!" Gempa appeared next as he just change his clothes to a more comfy one.

"Why is everyone so, oh huh." He blinked at the chaos before he let out a deep sigh.

"I will go get some damp clothes" he said before he went inside the bathroom to grab some for solar, Halilintar hearing all the noise, arrived with a deep frown.

"It's almost bedtime, What's-" He stopped short at the sight of taufan panicking, Solar in agony, and Blaze grinning like an idiot.

"What did you do this time?"

"I WAS JUST HELPING!" Taufan nearly wailed.

"HELP HARDER!" Solar practically growled, kicking his blankets in frustration.

Without another word, Halilintar grabbed the bottle from Taufan's trembling hands, he squinted at the label then his face darkened.

"This is NOT the eyedrop bottle."

Silence.

Solar still groaning managed to gasp out,

"Then what is it?" Halilintar slowly turned the bottle so everyone could see... Well almost everyone.

It wasn't eyedrops.

It was minty nasal spray.

The room went completely still but then Blaze burst out laughing.

"PFFT-" He clutched his stomach, doubling over.

"Y-YOU PUT THAT IN HIS EYES?!" Taufan looked like he was going to faint.

"I- I didn't- I swear I-" Solar still covering his eye, wheezed loudly.

"WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE THAT?!" Gempa sighed while shaking his head with a damp clothes in his hand.

"Taufan, your have one job-" Taufan pointed an accusing finger at Halilintar.

"WHY WAS IT NEXT TO THE EYEDROPS?!"

While the drama are happening, ice are currently watching the whole thing happening with thorn who got woken up by the commotion.

"Whats going on...?" Thorn ask while rubbing his sleepy eyes before he feel a gentle pat on his head.

"Go back to sleep thorn, the others are handling it"

"Hmm... Okay..."

.

.

.

.

Let's just say being blind for who knows how long are not fun for solar, especially when you have a mischieve brothers and the fear of darkness, why? Okay let me tell you all!

The "Trust Me, Bro" Incident

Solar sat stiffly on the couch, arms crossed, his unseeing eyes narrowed in pure distrust.

"I don't like that tone, Taufan" Taufan who was holding a spoonful of something, snickered.

"What tone? I literally just said 'Say ahh'!"

"Yeah and I know that tone, you sound suspicious." Ice sighed from the other side of the room.

"Taufan just tell him what it is"

"If I tell him, he won't eat it!"

"That's exactly why you should tell me!" Solar shot back which cause Taufan to huffed dramatically.

"Okay fine, it's pudding"

A pause.

"...You are lying"

"Wow No trust, No faith, No brotherly love"

"I can hear you grinning." Taufan turned to ice, ignoring Solar.

"Unbelievable, i try to take care of my little brother and this is what I get?"

"Yeah, yeah," ice waved him off.

"Just tell him what it is before he decides to throw hands" Taufan sighed.

"Okay fine, it's actually pudding." Solar hesitated.

"Swear on Blaze's stupidity?"

"Swear on Blaze's stupidity" cautiously, Solar opened his mouth causing Taufan to grinned and immediately shoved a chunk of wasabi into Solar's mouth.

Silence.

Then...

"TAUFAN, YOU TRAITOR!"

Taufan ran for his life cackling, as Solar choked and flailed, screaming profanities while ice facepalmed in the background.

The Wrong Brother Incident

Solar was trying to be independent. Really, he was.

He knew his brothers were helping him a lot and he didn't want to be a burden, so when he needed help getting to the kitchen, he confidently reached out and grabbed someone's wrist.

"Gempa?" he asked.

A pause.

"...Yeah sure" Solar frowned.

"Why did that sound like a lie?"

"No reason," came the slightly amused reply.

"Anyway, you wanted to go to the kitchen right?" Solar nodded.

"Yeah"

"Alright, let's go"

He let himself be guided through the hall, moving carefully, at first everything seemed normal, he even managed to avoid bumping into furniture!

But then-

"Hey, Solar?"

"Yeah?"

"You might want to let go of me now"

"Why, are we in the kitchen already?"

"No, it's because we been standing in the bathroom for the past two minutes"

Silence.

And then-

"YOU ARE NOT GEMPA, ARE YOU?!" Blaze burst out laughing, while Solar groaned and dramatically flopped to the floor.

Gempa who had just walked past the bathroom, raised an eyebrow.

"Why is Solar sitting on the floor like he lost faith in humanity?"

"Because I have" Solar deadpanned.

The Ultimate Jumpscared

Solar was peacefully minding his own business, sitting on the couch with his arms crossed, when he suddenly heard the sound of someone sneaking up behind him which cause him to tensed.

"Who is that?"

No answer which cause his frown to deepened.

"I know you are there, I can hear you breathing, you idiot"

Still nothing.

Okay Fine, If they wanted to be creepy, two could play that game.

Slowly, solar turned his head toward the direction of the sound And then, with all the menace he could muster.

"I can still sense you, fool" The person froze and solar smirked.

Gotcha.

But before he could feel too smug, a familiar voice suddenly whispered in the other side of his ear.

"Meow" Solar's soul left his body.

"TAUFAN, YOU JERK!" Taufan cackled, running away as Solar flailed, his heart racing.

"Your reaction was priceless!"

Halilintar who had witnessed the whole thing, sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Taufan, what did we say about scaring our youngest?"

"Not to do it?"

"And what did you just do?" Taufan grinned.

"I meowed at him" Solar still recovering, threw a pillow in Taufan's general direction but it hit halilintar instead.

"I hope you step on LEGO!"

Suprise prop

The room was quiet with everyone relaxing in the comfort of their shared space. Halilintar sat near the window with his attention on the view, while Gempa and Ice were lounging on the floor, flipping through a book.

Taufan sat near solar as he was scrolling through his phone, trying to find a new cookies recipes for him to try out.

Thorn was taking care of his newly plant seedling, completely absorbed in it, while Solar was leaning back on the couch, his face relaxed but still trying to keep track of what was going on around him.

Blaze ever the eager one had been talking non stop about some new theory he been thinking about.

He often rambled on, trying to prove he wasn't as clueless as he sometimes came across and today, he was particularly enthusiastic, passionately trying to explain his latest idea.

"You see Solar" Blaze began.

"if you apply this principle to the situation, you can see how it all makes sense, it's all about balance and symmetry."

He paused for dramatic effect then out of nowhere, he pulled a whiteboard from behind the couch, startling everyone.

Halilintar who had been half listening snapped his attention to the whiteboard with a furrowed brow.

"Where did you get that whiteboard from Blaze? We don't even have one here" blaze looked a little sheepish but shrugged.

"I... uh, keep one in the back for moments like these" he said with a wide grin.

"You never know when a sudden burst of genius will hit me" Solar who had been listening quietly but intently to Blaze's explanation, suddenly tilted his head, his voice a little dry.

"You do know I am temporarily blind right?" There was a pause and then the room erupted into a burst of laughter.

Blaze's face went a little red as he quickly placed the whiteboard back behind the couch, realizing the absurdity of his own actions.

Solar couldn't help but chuckle at the situation and shaking his head.

"I mean sure, I can follow the sound of your voice but what exactly am I supposed to do with your whiteboard, Blaze? I can't exactly see it, you know"

Blaze scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, looking at Solar.

"I uh, didn't think this through, did I?" Solar laughed softly, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"It's fine. I m not complaining, Just... maybe talk me through the theory without the visual aids?" Halilintar still trying to process the whole situation, shot a look at Blaze, a smirk playing on his face.

"You really tried to teach our blind brother with a whiteboard, Genius move, Blaze" Blaze groaned, sinking into the couch, the embarrassment obvious on his face.

"Okay okay, I get it, I am not as smart as I thought" Gempa chuckle before he chimed in with a grin,

"Hey, it's the thought that counts, right? You tried to make it all scientific and stuff"

"Yeah, even tho you are the stupidest person i know" ice can't help but insult, causing blaze to sulk at him.

The room relaxed into easy laughter, the tension from the earlier embarrassment fading.

Even though Blaze had missed the mark, it was moments like this when they could all laugh and be silly together, that made everything feel just a little brighter, even in the darkness that still lingered around Solar.

His fear in the night

The silence was unbearable.

Solar lay stiffly in his bed, gripping the blanket so tightly his knuckles turned white. The darkness was swallowing him whole, thick and suffocating. He couldn't hear his brothers. He couldn't feel them.

He was alone.

Just like before.

His breath hitched and his body trembled.

He was back there, back in space, drifting. The cold had been relentless, seeping into his bones, numbing his fingers, his legs, his very core.

His body had been weak, his energy flickering like a dying ember, every attempt to move had been met with failure and every breath had been a struggle.

And no matter how much he called out, no one came.

His brothers weren't there.

They weren't going to find him.

He had been left to die.

"Abang..." His breathing turned shallow, rapid as his heart pounded against his ribs, each beat like a desperate plea.

His fingers twitched, searching, needing something to hold on to but there was nothing.

Just the void.

He clenched his eyes shut, but the darkness was still there, the silence was still there.

His chest felt tight, Too tight. Too tight!

He can't, he can't breathe!

A rustle, a shuffle from the bed dipped beside him, Solar flinched violently, his breath hitching as he suddenly felt someone touching his arm.

"D-Don't!" His voice cracked, raw with panic, he jerked away, body curling in on itself as if bracing for impact.

The presence froze.

Then, softly and hesitantly, someone spoke.

"Solar?" That voice... His breath stuttered.

"Thorn...?" His own voice was barely a whisper, fragile and uncertain.

A moment passed, then warmth pressed against his side, not harsh, not forceful.

Just there.

A pillow shifted and then a blanket was tugged over both of them, an arms, warm and steady wrapped around him.

Not to trap him.

But to hold him together.

Solar's fingers trembled as they grasped Thorn's shirt, weakly clinging onto the only real thing in his world.

His breath shuddered, the cold of space lingered but it was melting away slowly and gently beneath Thorn's warmth, The suffocating silence was no longer empty and the darkness was no longer endless.

"I am here." Thorn's voice was quiet but certain.

"You are not alone" Solar squeezed his eyes shut, his body pressing closer, seeking more of that warmth, that grounding presence.

And Thorn let him.

Let him shake, let him breathe, let him feel, he didn't say anything else and he didn't need to.

Because Solar knew.

He wasn't alone.

Not anymore.

A few minutes later, the room was silent again, but this time it wasn't suffocating.

Solar's breathing had evened out, his grip on Thorn's shirt loosening as he was still curled up against him, head tucked under Thorn's chin but the tension in his body had eased.

Thorn still half asleep gave a small yawn before mumbling.

"Solar, you are kinda small" Solar's brows furrowed against Thorn's chest.

"Hah?"

"You are like... smaller than me" Thorn muttered drowsily.

"I always thought you were tiny, but now I know you are" Solar let out a breathless, tired laugh.

"Thorn, we are almost the same size"

"Almost" Thorn agreed sleepily.

"But not quite"

A pause and then

Cup~

Solar groaned and buried his face deeper into Thorn's chest as he can feel the sudden kiss on his forehead, enough to make him blush slightly.

Thorn just smiled, holding him a little closer.

Keeping his youngest safe and sound.

.

.

.

.

The morning came quietly as the rest of the brothers were already up, stretching and rubbing the sleep from their eyes, except for two.

Halilintar already dressed raised an eyebrow as he noticed something unusual, solar was still clinging to Thorn.

Like, really clinging.

His arms were wrapped around Thorn's waist with his head buried against Thorn's chest and his grip showed zero signs of loosening.

Thorn for his part was barely awake, still blinking blearily at the ceiling, seemingly unbothered by the koala mode Solar attached to him which cause taufan to nudged Blaze and whispered,

"Is it just me or is Solar really not letting go?" Blaze squinted.

"Thorn and solar are now stuck like glue" ice crossed his arms, watching them with a mixture of confusion and amusement.

"Huh, Thats new" gempa stared at the adorable scene before taking a picture and sighing.

"Somebody check if Solar has a fever, He never lets himself get babied like that" Thorn yawned.

"He doesn't have a fever" he murmured sleepily which cause halilintar to narrowed his eyes.

"Then why is he still holding onto you like that?" At that moment Solar finally stirred, letting out a small noise of protest as Thorn shifted slightly.

His fingers curled tighter into Thorn's shirt and without opening his eyes, he mumbled a No.

The room fell into stunned silence with Thorn blinked down at him.

"No... what?"

"No letting go" Solar's voice was quiet, but firm.

"Not yet" The brothers exchanged glances with Blaze looked like he was about to burst into laughter.

"No way, Solar? Our Solar? The 'don't-touch-me-I-am-not-a-baby' Solar?" Gempa frowned slightly.

"Hey, don't tease him" Taufan smirked.

"I am shocked" He gestured dramatically.

"Look at him, he basically a baby right now" Solar groaned into Thorn's chest, clearly trying to ignore them. Thorn still a bit dazed just rubbed Solar's back absentmindedly and muttered.

"I think he have a nightmare yesterday" The amusement in the room dimmed just a little at that as halilintar studied Solar for a moment before sighing.

"Fine, Let him be" Taufan raised a brow.

"So we are just gonna let him be attached to Thorn all day?"

A beat of silence, Then-

"Yes" Thorn answered simply with solar hummed sleepily in agreement, still not letting go.

.

.

It had been two long weeks since Solar lost his vision, two weeks of adapting, of relying on his brothers, of trying to push past the frustration and helplessness that sometimes crept in.

But today… today was different.

He blinked.

Then he blinked again.

The familiar blur of colors slowly sharpened into focus, the overwhelming darkness fading away.

His heart pounded as he took in the sight of his room, his brothers lounging around, unaware of what was happening.

His vision was back, He could see again.

And the first thing he laid his newly restored eyes on? Blaze and Taufan, sitting across the room, giggling like two troublemakers plotting their next scheme.

Oh right, for the past two weeks, those two had taken full advantage of his blindness.

Blaze had moved his things around constantly, making Solar reach for something that wasn’t there.

Taufan had placed random objects in his path, so he will trip over them (harmless ones, but still).

They had whispered nonsense in his ears, swapped his drinks, and even once replaced his toothpaste with mayonnaise just to see how long it would take for him to notice.

And now, they were just sitting there, laughing like nothing had happened.

Solar’s lips curled into a slow, almost dangerous smile.

With a sudden burst of energy, he bolted forward.

"YOU TWO ARE DEAD!"

Blaze and Taufan barely had time to react before Solar launched himself at them.

"OH SH-" Blaze yelped, scrambling to get away.

"WAIT, WAIT, WAIT-" Taufan was already halfway across the room, tripping over his own feet in his panic.

The entire house erupted into chaos.

Blaze practically threw himself over the couch with Solar hot on his heels, Taufan attempted to dive behind Ice but Ice lazily stepped aside, letting Solar tackle Taufan onto the floor.

"NO MERCYYY!" Solar declared dramatically as he wrestled Taufan, while Blaze, thinking he was safe, suddenly found Solar’s burning glare locked onto him.

Blaze gulped.

"Uh Listen bro, It was all in good fun, right?"

Solar didn’t answer. He just lunged.

The next five minutes consisted of yelling, laughter, and sheer pandemonium as Solar chased Blaze and Taufan all over the house, knocking over chairs, pillows, and nearly trampling Thorn (who barely looked up from his plant, used to this madness).

Halilintar, arms crossed, watched from the doorway with an unimpressed stare.

"Should we stop them?" Gempa sitting beside him grinned.

"Nah, They deserve it" Ice let out a lazy chuckle.

"Two weeks worth of revenge? Yeah let him have this one" And so, the brothers sat back and watched as Solar finally tackled Blaze onto the couch.

victorious.

After catching his breath, Solar smirked down at his brothers, who were panting and defeated beneath him.

"Next time, prank me while I am blind and I swear, I will find a way to get revenge even before my vision comes back"

"Noted..." Taufan groaned.

"Worth it..." Blaze wheezed.

Solar rolled his eyes but couldn't help grinning. His sight was back, and so was the chaos.

And honestly? He wouldn’t have it any other way.
