Isaac walked into the auditorium.
He saw rows of Sleepers some cramped together in a group talking with no care in the world.
Isaac ignored most of the Sleepers as he was looking for the fated shadow and the fallen flame.
It did not take long to locate either of them.
Sunless was the main character of shadow slave as such Isaac knew the most about him.
He also had a description from the novel which made not only finding Sunless easy to spot but also the blond girl sitting across from him.
Cassia.
She was a side character for the most part but other than that what made her special was her aspect abilities.
Though others might see her as useless due to her flaw which robbed her sight she is still a menace.
Her dormant ability alone gives her a passive divination ability plus her broken ability to "look" at another person's ruins.
Honestly, if anyone in this room were to think logically they would see that she would be a great asset if nurtured properly.
And that's what Isaac was planning to do.
Isaac already had a plan to get acquainted with the main cast.
But first, he needs to take care of the depressed seer.
Isaac began to walk towards the edge of the auditorium where the two outcasts were sitting.
Unsurprisingly Sunless was the first to notice him thanks to his shadow.
Sunless looked straight at him scanning Isaac from head to toe.
After a quick check, he looked away seemingly losing interest.
Isaac held back a chuckle.
Though Sunless was not looking at him Isaac could see his shadow staring at his approaching figure.
'Tsk Tsk, so suspicious'.
Of course, no one could blame Sunless who came from the outskirts of an inherent suspicious place.
Isaac finally tracked the table as the blind Cassia finally noticed his presence.
Cassia was flustered for a moment before giving him a greeting.
"Hello, my name is Cassia".
Seeing Cassia's politeness he responded in kind.
"Hello, Sleeper Cassia-".
Isaac then looked at Sunless.
"-and you to Sleeper Sunless.
Sunless did not seem amused.
Though he did not outright display hostility he was trying his best to push Isaac away the same way he had done with other Sleepers.
'Damnation, why won't this guy leave'.
Sunny was at a loss for words.
No matter what he said the bastard would not leave.
He had tried to explain his First Nightmare only to have this bastard listen to him without complaining or trying to call him out.
From the get-go, Sunny felt the guy was... wrong.
Something about him felt foreign.
He was not the only one that felt this way.
His shadow even warned him.
This was the first time he saw the gloomy guy become so adamant about something.
Granted Sunny only knew the shadow for a good day and a half but he felt that the shadow would not threaten his life.
The Spell itself said his shadow was an "invaluable helper" so he had it on good authority to trust the shadow.
It was his shadow after all.
Sunny eventually gave up trying to push the bastard away and tried prying for information.
Even if he can't lie due to his flaw he was still born in the outskirts telling trothed lies was part of life there.
"So how were you Nightmare".
Sunny started with the basics.
It was never good to pry too deeply in the beginning as it would more often make the other person uncomfortable and raise their guard.
But Sunny forgot one thing...
"Oh, you didn't even ask for my name and just went for information about my Nightmare Tsk Tsk".
The bastard's response was like a slap to the face.
Sunny face gained a reddish hue for a moment before composing himself once again.
'Damnation, such a rookie mistake'.
Sunny mental face palmed as he heard the blind girl giggle.
'Damnation'.
Sunny could only wallow in defeat.
Sunny swallowed his pride before asking.
"W-what is your name".
Cassia was falling into an endless spiral of depression and despair.
Her parents paid for her to get fencing lessons to help her if she were infected by the Spell.
But it was all for nothing.
All her hard work was destroyed when her flaw emerged.
She had lost her sight.
The light that once illuminated the world could no longer be seen.
Her world was plunged into darkness.
She had tried to adapt but failed.
Simply walking was a hard task for her as she could slip, fall, or bump into people or objects.
The cruelty did not stop there, however.
She was not allowed to fall asleep as it would transport her into the dream realm which was for someone like her instant death.
But she was also kept awake to go into the dream realm.
Truly ironic.
Cassia was truly terrified.
Then after speaking to Sunless who had gone quiet, she felt something.
It was the same sensation when Sunless sat in front of her.
No...
Sunless "aura" felt suffocating but this new "aura" felt... free.
She couldn't put it into words.
But she felt that this new "aura" was unbound.
She turned her head towards the "aura's" direction.
"Hello, my name is Cassia".
