Isaac was currently in his combat class.
He was looking around for a certain person.
It took him a while but was able to locate the individual.
A silver-haired teen.
Changing Star.
Heiress of the Immortal Flame Clan.
Last daughter of the Immortal Flame Clan.
The inheritor of The Fire.
Nephis.
Well, to say their first meeting was ruff was an understatement.
He tried talking to her multiple times but she would barely give back a sentence for a response.
But he was instant.
But he also knew he could not push too far.
Nephis was inherently suspicious of anyone who tried to get close to her.
Isaac could not blame her for her behavior.
If he was almost killed by a nani who he thought was family, he would not trust others easily.
But as he slowly spoke to her more the more she seemed to open up.
It was still apparent she did not trust him but it was still progress.
They were currently in class.
The first week had passed and they were now teaching use through duels with each other.
Isaac immediately looked for Nephis.
Then he smiled.
"Hay, Neph let's spar".
Nephis stopped what she was doing and glanced at him.
Then she spoke.
"Ok".
Isaac's smile widened.
But someone else was frowning.
Isaac also noticed but decided not to comment.
The frowning person was Caster.
Ever since he first spoke to Nephis the bastard was always trying to butt in.
'Damn man I know your trying to assassinate her but sheesh'.
Isaac was slowly starting to get annoyed with Caster.
At first, he ignored him.
But the bastard never stopped.
And even now he was still trying to butt in.
"Mr. Isaac, Lady Nephis seems slightly busy so why not try sparing with me".
Isaac could not help but twitch slightly.
'Come down Isaac don't bring too much attention to yourself'.
Isaac was successfully ignoring Caster.
But...
"Don't sully yourself with a useless duel Lord Caster".
Isaac froze.
Then a wicked grin appeared.
He turned to Nephis.
"Sorry let me take care of this problem, we can spar afterward".
Isaac apologized to Nephis.
Gaining a nod he turned around.
Isaac's dark grey eyes pierced Caster's green ones.
"No no, I will take you up on that offer".
Isaac and Caster were now on the arena.
Both ready to duel the other.
Isaac new Casters aspect ability.
That why he was certain Caster would not try to use it for long due to the massive draw backs.
But Isaac was different.
Though he had to sacrifice something to gain power he gained an equal boon in return.
Isaac also had not been slacking for the past week when trying to learn about his aspect ability.
He had found out something.
When he sacrificed something it was like gaining a flaw.
So...
Why not use the flaws of others to empower himself.
With that he whispered.
"I will gain Athena's flaw, with this sacrifice, my physical body will be enhanced".
Within Isaac's soul something moved.
Golden words were written across his soul core.
As the word solidified, a large wave of power flowed throughout the soul sea.
A burning sensation immediately begin to flow through Isaac's body.
He felt his muscles become denser.
His eyes became sharper.
He felt a small amount of wind coming from the air vents across his skin.
He felt his bones become more sturdier.
But then he fell a deep hunger.
This was Athena's little more accurately, known as Effie's flaw.
But at this moment, none of that mattered.
Isaac got into a fighting stance.
Caster did the same.
The Awakened Teacher immediately started the duel.
Both of them instantly longed for each other.
With his enhanced body, Isaac immediately threw a powerful punch.
Caster side step allowing the attack to crash into the air.
Isaac turned around, preparing another punch.
Caster didn't give him that time.
He quickly moved, throwing a right hook.
Clicking his tongue Isaac bent backwards, dodging the fist.
Twisting his body, Isaac went for another blow.
This time is punch landed.
Caster was immediately sent back.
Caster looked at the wound.
The skin was bruised.
Caster even felt the bones in his arms fracture.
He gritted his teeth.
Then he vanished.
The hair on Isaac's neck stood on end.
He instinctually stepped away.
Then a boom was heard.
The place were Isaac was had a heel planted in the arena.
Isaac put his guard up ready for another use of his ability.
"That's enough, It's my loss".
Cater spoke surprising everyone.
And I mean everyone.
The teacher, students even Nephis.
Hell even Isaac.
What's his plan?
Isaac was still stumped.
Of course, Isaac knew in the end, it wouldn't matter.
Isaac was already planning Caster's death within the forgotten shore.
But moving all that to the back of his mind, Isaac focused on what he was currently doing.
He and Nephis had sparred after his clash with Caster.
When it came to physical strength, thanks to his aspect ability he was able to beat her.
But when it came to pure swordsmanship Nephis was on a completely different level.
Especially as her swordplay was an inheritance from her father, Broken Sword.
And with a true name that encompasses swords, Isaac had no doubt her father was a Master swordsman.
Maybe even his aspect ability revolved around swords.
But even in the novel, it was never said what his abilities were.
Other than that, the time spent with Nephis has been very beneficial.
Thanks to his flaw he was able to have a picture-perfect frame of her swordsmanship for him to try to copy you on his alone time.
But this was not all he was able to get closer to her.
She was much more open now, then at least, in the beginning of the relationship when he first approached her.
Before she would normally walk away after a certain amount of dialogue, but now she stays for a much much longer to the point we can finish a good hour conversation.
But at the current moment Isaac and Nephis we're not walking down the hallway.
Isaac was taking her to the other two members of the cohort Sunny and Cassia.
It had taken a bit of convincing but due to his recommendation, which she seemed to somewhat respect, she followed him back to meet up with the cohort.
They already made it in front of his room as he began to open the door.
"Welcome back Isaac".
He heard a girly voice from inside.
Nephis shot him a glance, but he completely ignored it. "Hi, Cassia".
Isaac said as he walked in with Nephis.
Sunny was also there as he looked up and immediately froze.
"...".
Cassia "looked" around feeling that something was off.
The silence was deafening.
"Is there something wrong".
Cassia asked a bit uncertain.
I smile bloomed upon Isaac's face.
"Nope, Sunny over here is just surprised as I brought a new member".
Hearing this Nephis gave him a weird look.
They had never discussed this.
Isaac only told her he wanted her to meet up with his friends.
Cassia smiled and then frowned.
"But why is Sunny so silent".
This got Sunny to snap out of his reverie.
"I-is that C-Changing Star".
When Cassia heard the name her brain automatically shut down.
Then they all looked at Isaac.
Isaac only smiled.
