Jiang Long looked incredulously as Bai Wei, a man who he thought never brought anything good, passed out and started to collapse towards the ground. Jiang Long subconsciously reached out to catch the man.

Bai Wei in his point of view was a troublemaker, a lunatic, and a rival. He never thought that one day Bai Wei would gain another title as well.

Bai Wei was now his savior.

Bai Wei woke up to a stark white room and a smell of disinfectant. Dazedly he tried to sit up before a shooting pain shot through his side. He looked down to see his chest covered in bandages and remembered getting shot as soon as he transmigrated into his first world.

"You crazy system!! Are you insane?" Bai Wei shouted into the air.

[I'm sorry host!! The target was in mortal danger, I did not know what else to do.]

" I better get some reimbursements for this! Where is my work safety payout?"Bai Wei calmed down significantly after hearing the system but continued shouting.

Bai Wei's eyebrow twitched with anger at the systems last comment and the name of the package. This was very obviously a complementary package that's given to all new hosts. Bai Wei wasn't too mad however as he had no hopes from the beginning.

Bai Wei looked through the package. He first activated the pain shield and sighed with relief as the pain from the wound went away. He then glanced at the perfect mask wondering what it was before the system answered.

Bai Wei was about to continue fighting with the system when the door to the hospital room opened and a man of 1.9 meters walked into the room.

Thick and long eyes with sword-like eyebrows. A three-dimensional face that was carved from jade. The man was shrouded in a distance that separated him from the rest of the world. Like a high mountain flower.

His deep eyes glanced over at Bai Wei and held a mix of many emotions. There was alienation throughout his gaze along with resentfulness and forbearance.

Suddenly thousands of memories and information came flooding into Bai Wei's brain. This world was slightly less advanced than his original world and centered around a campus romance with a student called Jia Jinxing.

In the story, Jia Jinxing is a commoner who comes to Xialou Academy on scholarship. She gains the attention of multiple men at the academy, including Jiang Long, and with their help eventually becomes the empress who gains recognition for her leadership skills as well as her brilliance.

However, on the way to success, she encounters many adversaries as the first commoner to make it into Xialou Academy, a previously all noble academy. One of these adversaries was Bai Wei, a dark and gloomy man who falls in love with Jia Jinxing's brilliance and begins to stalk her. Bai Wei later becomes obsessed with Jia Jinxing and plans to kidnap her before his plans are foiled by Jiang Long. Finally, Bai Wei is executed for his crimes of harassing Jia Jinxing.

So, this is a Mary Sue campus novel. System, care to explain why I am a cannon fodder? Surely there was a body here that I could inhabit that my target already didn't hate.

The system shivered internally while looking at the hosts mind scape that was currently in flames.

Oh really? What part of this is good for catching favorability? Bai Wei fake smiled as he talked to the system. The fire in his mind growing brighter and brighter by the second.

Bai Wei sighed knowing there was nothing that could be done and looked back to the man, who he now recognized as Jiang Long.

Originally, Jia Jinxing was supposed to save Jiang Long and the two would deepen their relationship while Jia Jinxing recovered in the hospital. Now that Bai Wei had replaced Jia Jinxing, Jiang Long had no gratefulness towards him. In fact, he had nothing but suspicion towards his actions. Bai Wei internally sighed once more before deciding his next plan of action.

Jiang Long looked into the now awake Bai Wei's eyes as he walked into the hospital room where Bai Wei was staying. He tried to figure out what Bai Wei's motives were this time. Had he changed his approach of getting close to Jia Jinxing? Was the Bai family up to something again? If so, why had they dragged their idiot son into it this time?

Jiang Long had considered a possibility where Bai Wei saved him simply because of good will but quickly disregarded this idea. After all, Bai Wei and Jiang Long were incredibly open about their mutual hatred for each other as well as their competition for Jia Jinxing's love. Bai Wei was more likely to try to kill Jiang Long himself than he was to save him from an enemy attack.

Hundreds of thoughts flashed through Jiang Longs mind as he looked at Bai Wei. Trying to decipher his intentions based off the slightest movement. However, he was completely unprepared for Bai Wei's next actions.

Bai Wei suddenly had tears streaming down his face as he looked at Jiang Long. He rushed out of the bed ignoring the wound on his side and jumped to hug Jiang Long.

"You're alive!! I am so glad!" Bai Wei said in between choked sobs while hugging Jiang Long.
