In contrast the hundreds of ships that pointed their guns at Dai Chengming in unison after his words a truly terrifying sight. Dai Chengming observed the situation with rigor. He furrowed his brows in deep thought while deciphering Bai Wei's words. There was a chance that they could live, but they had to lay down their weapons and become completely defenseless . This might be a trick, but that was unlikely as this alien force greatly overpowered them at the moment. He sighed and looked down at the ground in defeat before signaling his people to put down their guns. Each person hesitantly dropped their weapons to the ground. Their discomfort was fully present on everyone's faces at this turn of events. Most couldn't hear what Bai Wei had said but they had trust in their leader.

One by one, every human slowly threw away their weapons and when the last one had been thrown down Bai Wei waved his hand and a bright dazzling light flashed in the air. It shot out at all of the ships and they began to vibrate while glowing a slight green color before poofing out of existence.

The onlookers had no idea how to feel about this display as hundreds of ships evaporated before their very eyes. It was hard to tell if they were being teleported or destroyed but Dai Chengming had a sickening feeling it was the latter. He felt his stomach churn as thousands of living beings lost their lives in an instant even if they were the enemy.

"Shall we go then, good sir?" Bai Wei said while still smiling broadly while speaking in a thick accent that was hard to understand but seemed to be getting better by the minute.

Dia Chengming secretly gritted his teeth for a moment before putting on his best customer service smile and gesturing his hand to guide Bai Wei inside the base.

"Of course, follow me."

Bai Wei grew increasingly bored as the time passed, they had now toured half of the base with no sign of the target. He was originally hoping that the target was Dai Chengming and even prepared his best smile when the two first met but after a minute his hopes were completely crushed. It really was a stroke of bad luck that the target wasn't Dai Chengming.

After all, during their brief contact Bai Wei realized that Dai Chengming was a total face-con. He deduced this through the flushed ears and occasional glances that Dai Chengming had thrown his way when he thought the other wasn't looking. Had he been the mission target, the favorability might have been in the thirties by now.

The two were currently touring the agricultural sector of the base, it was a very large green house with high vaulted ceilings and a plethora of fruits and veggies inside. The entire building took up about one fourth of the base and stretched over a large amount of quickly demolished houses. It seems this was a suburb before the invasion. Bai Wei momentarily thought about how amazing it would have been if he had transmigrated into the plot earlier. Regardless of the mission targets future amnesty against him, Bai Wei simply couldn't grasp the hundreds of thousands of people that this body had killed. Even if he was a bit of a ruthless person as shown by his actions in the last world, he still had his limits. All red items like tomatoes, cherries, strawberries, and bell peppers were planted together while all citrus fruits were planted in the pattern of a star in the center. Bai Wei's eyebrow twitched slightly as he tried to hold back a laugh.

What gardener would ever do this?? He was sure that it would be quite the sight from above but this planting technique was basically murdering the plants. Bai Wei was both amused at the strangeness and in awe of the liveness of the plants despite their obvious lack of proper care.

However this was only on the inside, on the outside Bai Wei looked like a bored teenager. His eyes constantly searching for something that Dai Chenming could not place but they continued to be clouded in a deep wave of apathy. Still Dai Chenming sensed the flash of interest when looking at the plants and so he went into more depth about the agricultural sector.

"All of our food is completely self-sustainable here. The seeds are manufactured in a lab to yield higher quantities of food and all of the plants are nurtured and grown by a group of plant type abilities on the base. Additionally, they are watered every few days by water type abilities just like you see that group over there in the field."

Looking over there were indeed a group of people working in twos and threes in order to water the field. They all had their hands out and water sprayed from their palms like a geyser. It was quite a miraculous sight if not for the obvious tired looks on all the peoples faces. It seemed that using this power was very draining.

Only one man stood in the crowd completely straight without a hint of fatigue on his face. He was with a group of two older gentlemen who were struggling to produce any water from their hands. The man smiled appreciatively at the two and thanked them for their service before proceeding to produce more water to pick up their slack. This entire series of events had been done with a slight smile on his face. But that was not important to Bai Wei at this moment.
