Bai Wei entered into the new world and found himself saddled on a horse. Hundreds of soldiers stood opposite him in neat lines with sharpened pikes that they jeered at the sky in excitement. A loud and forceful war cry came from their lips.

Bai Wei was shocked by the high intensity scene and watched blankly for a moment until he felt a light push on his arm. He looked directly to his side to see a small weaselly man with brownish gray hair staring back at him.

"General, you need to signal the advance!!" Despite his rodent like appearance, the man had a strong sense of courage about him.

Bai Wei observed the situation for a moment longer. It seemed that the men beside him in their iron armor with their spears and shields were of an army he led. Without any hesitation, Bai Wei filled his duties without leaving any gaps. He raised his arm and pronounced a loud "Forward" at the top of his voice.

The soldiers spurred on by his command began to hoot and holler as they marched forward steadily. They kept tight formations, with spear holders towards the middle and shield bearers in front protecting the bodies of the soldiers behind them. The other side sensed their movements and sent over arrows. Bai Wei watched with interest as a sea of arrows rained down towards him. If he did nothing, he most certainly would die.

But, that was only if he did nothing.

Bai Wei drove his horse forward with prowess. He unsheathed a sword that hung by his waist as he rushed towards the enemy. It had been too long since he was able to show off his prowess on the battlefield and the blood of war ignited within his veins.

This was going to be fun.

...

The battle ended victoriously on his side. The soldiers, driven by the courage of their general also showed their determination and strength. It was not long before the other side retreated with their tail between their legs.

Many hours later, the soldiers from Bai Wei's side now sat around a fire as they relived the thrills of the last battle. They soldiers shared their near death experiences with one another as though they had happened many years ago. Their listeners would laughing and as they egged on the storytellers as their movements became larger and their stories grew further from the truth.

Bai Wei enjoyed the rowdy atmosphere for a moment. This rambunctious group of people reminded him very much of his days within the star pirate group that he had been a part of in his first life. Though his memories of the group were now tainted by their betrayal, Bai Wei still looked back on their times before the event with happiness. He felt very at home now in such a similar environment to what he found so familiar.

Still, there were things that needed to be done and questions that needed to be answered. As such, Bai Wei said his farewells to the rowdy men and made his way back to what he presumed was his tent.

It was rather large and almost resembled a room if not for the walls, ceiling, and even most of the floor being made of cloth. There was even a dresser and a rather nice bed within the tent.

Bai Wei observed the interesting environment before lying on the bed and beginning to accept the plot and the original soul's memories.

"..."

For a moment, Bai Wei wanted to curse. The problem was not the plot of course.

The plot of this world revolved around a reborn woman named Ding Shan, a daughter of the prime minister of the Yunnan Nation. In her first life, she was swayed by the fleeting warmth of the fourth prince and went out of her way to marry him despite his low status. She used her skills and resources to raise her husband to the highest position and exhausted her life in the process. Her husband should have been grateful for this opportunity and loved her wholeheartedly but it turns out that he was a white eyed wolf. After being raised to such a high position he forgot his roots and disregarded the woman who made this all possible.

At the end of her life, Ding Shan was filled with extreme regret and prayed desperately for justice. Her prayer for retribution was answered by the gods. She was miraculously transported back to the day after her marriage. She was ecstatic with this new chance at life.

Though she wished she had returned back to before the marriage, she still made the best of the circumstances. Since she couldn't reverse it and she didn't want to push anyone else to the highest position. She decided to do it herself. Ding Shan poisoned her husband to death and assumed his power as the fourth princess. From there she amassed power without restraint, weeded out any competition, and put herself in the greatest position as the first ruling empress of the empire. Her story was one of many twists and turns but ultimate victory.

Bai Wei was quite in awe of this protagonist. She was super cool!

Bai Wei mentally relished her awesomeness and hoped he would meet her in the future. Exchange a few stories by the way.

But f***, he still wanted to cry.

The problem was once again his identity. He was the General of the Sichuan Nation, the enemy Nation that was currently warring with the protagonist's nation, Yunnan. Bai Wei was distraught at this new advancement. He was part of the military of the opposing nation. What was he supposed to do to find his beloved??? Rebel??

Bai Wei began to seriously consider this notion. He was beginning to formulate a plan to revel when his thoughts were interrupted by a call from outside the tent asking for permission to enter. When permission was granted, two people walked into the tent.

The first was the weaselly man from before who he now recognized as his second in command ,Li Zemin. Li Zemin greeted him briefly before introducing the man beside him.

"This is the tribute from Yunnan for the temporary treaty over the coming winter months."

He stepped aside to reveal a much larger man with a tall figure and a gentle demeanor. Despite being a man, he was the embodiment of the word beautiful. His every move was filled with grace. His cyan eyes gently lifted to look directly into Bai Wei's for a moment before feigning fragility and turned back to the ground. He fiddled with his long and wispy hair while his eyes darted around to show his nervousness.

"Zi'er greets the master"

[Ding! Target has been identified!!]
