Jiang Long stood looking at Jia Jinjiang, the woman he had once sworn his devoted love to. The one he had even stooped so low as to fight against others just for her attention. While looking at her he realized something, the feelings he once had for Jia Jinjiang were small puddles compared to the vast ocean that was his feelings towards Bai Wei.

To even call what he felt towards Jia Jinjiang love was an insult to anyone who ever fell in love with another, at best he had a slightly better feeling towards her than other people. However, it was thanks to this comparison that Jiang Long finally realized how much he genuinely cared for the man beside him.

Jiang Long came to the realization that he was hopelessly in love with Bai Wei. He wanted to be with him every second of every day. Have Bai Wei only smile at him, laugh with him, and look at only him with his warm gaze. He wanted it so bad that he would go insane in his absence and grow possessive if another potential suitor so much as looked his way. He loved Bai Wei, and he loved him to the point of insanity.

Jiang Long stood beside Bai Wei and silently looked at Jia Jinjiang for a long time. Bai Wei stood looking at Jiang Long, whose eyes were growing darker by the second as he looked at Jia Jinxing. Jiang Long's eyes held a certain amount of bewilderment, then amusement, and finally warmth. Bai Wei felt his body grow colder as the man that he had once been married to for so many years in the future fall in love with another before his very eyes.

Bai Wei closed his eyes and spoke softly under his breath to remind himself. This was not his Jiang Long from the future that he had loved for so many years, this was the Jiang Long of the present who was hopelessly in love with Jia Jinxing. Bai Wei's body became extremely gloomy as he tried to push these thoughts away but failed miserably.

Finally, Bai Wei could not handle watching any longer and started a conversation with Jia Jinxing to end the awkward silence. The two chatted peacefully as Jiang Long stared at the two while still in deep thought. After a while, Jia Jinxing was too weirded out by Jiang Long's stare and made an excuse to leave.

Bai Wei said some perfunctory goodbyes to her before grabbing two glasses of champagne from a near by waiter. He downed the first one at once and took the other to accompany him on the balcony. Leaving behind a Jiang Long who was staring at him with a deep obsession that was growing by the second.

Later in the evening, Bai Wei was carried to a flying ship by Jiang Long. Bai Wei was blackout drunk and kept mumbling incoherent things into Jiang Longs ear as his hand traced the broach that was on Jiang Long's chest. Jiang Long found it hard to concentrate with Bai Wei's hair brushing against his nape as he walked. His walking speed slowed considerably as they made their way to the vehicle.

After realizing his feelings towards Bai Wei, Jiang Long was eager to establish as much contact as he could with his loved one. He almost wanted to integrate Bai Wei into his skin so that the two would never separate (author: not like that you perverts).

Jiang Long grew anxious the more he thought. His heart was calling out for him to establish a relationship that was more than friends with Bai Wei, but he hesitated. Jiang long was certain that Bai Wei only saw himself as a friend and while he was anxious to grow closer with the other, he was also afraid to lose the friendship that they had built over the past few years.

Jiang Long snapped out of his thoughts when a small giggle sounded in his left ear. Bai Wei, a drunken mess, started squirming in Jiang Long's arms to find a comfortable place to rest his head. Jiang Long looked at Bai Wei. His cheeks were flushed red and his eyes glazed over due to the alcohol. He looked incomparably cute to Jiang Long, and also made the man realize something.

Now that Jiang Long was aware of his feelings, there was no going back.

Jiang Long was incapable of hiding his feelings from Bai Wei forever and too selfish to be able to watch Bai Wei fall in love with another person. Jiang Long would eventually mess up and his thoughts towards Bai Wei would become apparent to the world at an inopportune time. Instead of letting his feelings brew in his heart until they boil over, Jiang Long must steel his heart and pursue Bai Wei to the best of his ability for the highest chance of success.

Jiang Long got the now asleep Bai Wei into the vehicle and drove back to his residence. Bai Wei had been staying at his place ever since the accident. At first, it was to keep tabs on Bai Wei and later it was for convenience as the two prepared for the war. Now that the battle was over, Jiang Long had planned for Bai Wei to move back in with the Bai family after things settled down ,but now he wanted nothing more than for Bai Wei to stay by his side a little longer.

Jiang Long carried Bai Wei to the guest room and was about to set Bai Wei down on the bed when Bai Wei's eyelids flickered for a moment before looking at Jiang Long. Jiang Long looked into Bai Wei's eyes that seemed to have galaxies contained within them as they shimmered underneath the moonlight.

Suddenly, Bai Wei smiled widely and wrapped his arms around Jiang Long calling out sweetly "Husband!".

Jiang Long was originally fighting Bai Wei to keep standing but froze when he heard Bai Wei call him by this name. Jiang Long lost his footing due to Bai Wei pulling at his shoulders and the two fell onto the bed.
