11 weeks pregnant-------

Lucy tossed and turned in bed beside her husband before deciding to get up. She got up and felt sick but didn't feel like she had to throw up quite yet.

She looked in the mirror and held her barely visible bump

Lucy's pov:

Lucy) "I love you both so much..." I slightly smiled

Lucy) "Stay strong little ones.."

As soon as I whisper that I feel Tim's strong arms around my waist I slightly gasp and giggle

Lucy) "You scared me!"

Tim) "Sorry... Can't sleep?"

He stands behind me and we both look at each other in the mirror

I shake my head

Lucy) "Just don't feel super great. What time is it?"

Tim rotates his wrist to try to check his watch

Tim) "3:48"

Lucy) "Dang it, I'm sorry Tim. You can go back to sleep, I'll try to as well"

Tim turned me around and kissed me

Tim) "Whatever you wanna do"

I smiled at him as I put my hands on my stomach.

Lucy) "I can't wait to meet them Tim..."

Tim looked down at my stomach and smiled too

Tim) "Me either....You excited for the gender reveal tomorrow? Well.. technically later this evening"

Lucy) "You know it! I'll pick up the cake on the way home from work and then we can text or call everyone and let them know. Since their identical they're almost always the same gender and the baker made sure they were before making the cake."

Tim kissed my forehead

Tim) "Sounds like a plan."

We call it a night and slowly drift asleep. ——————————————————

Th next morning since we woke up in the middle of the morning we accidentally slept in kinda late and didn't wanna be late for work

We were a wreck

Lucy) "Aghhh gosh gosh gosh GOSH. Where are my pants?"

Tim chuckled and found my jeans across the room and tossed them at me while trying to put on his shirt.

Lucy) "Thanks!"

I finish changing and grab a banana and my toothbrush and some tooth paste in case I throw up and need to brush my teeth. Tim rushes to turn on the coffee pot as I struggle to put on my shoes.

Tim) "Crap! Speed up!"

He lightly hits the coffee pot

Lucy) "Babe I'll bring you a coffee soon after I get out on patrol."

Tim) "You sure?"

Lucy) "Yeah cause we gotta go.. like now!"

Tim) "Ok thanks"

Tim grabs the last of his things and with that we're out the door. ——————————————————

Later on patrol after I had given Tim his coffee I was riding with Celina today and we were taking a break to run some plates because people have been telling me I need to take it easier..

I type away at the computer in the shop while Celina keeps a close watch over our surroundings

All of the sudden I get this semi sharp pain in my lower abdomen and I hold it

Lucy) "Ughh"

Celina looks over at me concerned.

Celina) "Woah woah you okay?"

Lucy) "Yeah i think it's just leftover pain from my bullet wound."

Celina) "We should probably stop at Shaw Memorial just to make sure"

Lucy) "I'm fine."

Celina) "..Okay.." —————————————————— Hours later

I'm at our house with the cake ready waiting for Tim to come home, he had to work a few over.

...there it is again... A small sharp pain... Not like a kick though, it's too early for those. Celina's right I should probably have the babies checked out. I will tell Tim tonight or tomorrow probably and make an appointment. I wanna have our gender reveal first.

The keys jingle in the front door and it opens to reveal the love of my life with a big smile on his face. He runs towards me, picks me up and spins me around.

Tim) "I love you... And I've missed you"

Lucy) "I love you and have missed you too!... You ready to do this!?"

Tim nods and I get the cake ready. On top of the package is out most recent sonogram from 2 days ago. I look at it and my heart just overwhelms with joy.



We set the cake in the living room and sit down beside it

Tim) "Are you ready?"

Lucy) "No!? Why would you ask that?"

I burst out laughing.

Tim holds my hands

Tim) "Just want you to know that no matter the genders are or what happens I'll be happy."

I kiss him before we start lifting glasses to cut the cake.

Tim) "3..."

Lucy) "2..."

Tim) "1!..."

we take the glasses out of the cake and can't believe our eyes.

Tim jaw drops and he hugs me tight.

Lucy) "No way no way no WAY!!"

I kiss him and

Tim) "I'm so excited Luce!"

I jump up in down in my seat and hug him again.

We spend a little while together just talking about the future and being excited then decided to text the LAPD family group chat. ——————————————————

Right after we found out we decided to go shopping at our local store that had a bunch of baby items.

We found dozens of blue things including baby clothes, blankets, bottles and more. We decided to save the bigger purchases for a little later on in my pregnancy.

As the night grows on I lay on Tim's lap on our living room couch. As I'm reading a book he plays with my hair.

I look up from my book and realize Tim has a strange look on his face.

Lucy) "Babe?....You alright?"

Tim) "Yea.. just been having some nightmares lately..but I'm okay."

I sit up on his lap. And put my hands on the sides of his face.

Lucy) "You sure? Anything you wanna talk about?"

Tim) "just more flashbacks and nightmares of what happened to me...what happened to you... What could happen to us or our sons."

Lucy) "Tim... we're gonna be okay... No matter what happens... Okay?"

Tim nodded and I kiss him

Tim) "I love you. You know that right?"

I smiled big

Lucy) "Duh. I love you too" ——————————————————
