Tim's pov:

A few more days have passed and Lucy was starting to heal beautifully. Part of me still wants to stay with her but I know she will be okay. I have to go back to work tomorrow and she will return in a few weeks.

I turn to her in the doorway of her apartment

Tim) "Are you sure you're gonna be okay and don't need anything else?"

Lucy smiled

Lucy) "Yes babe...I promise. And if I need anything I'll call you."

Tim)" You better! Even if you don't need anything."

Lucy) "I will don't worry."

She pulled me in for a kiss and I hugged her after.

Lucy) "I love you dork."

She ruffled my hair I chuckled and shook my head

Tim) "I love you too...Goodbye."

I turn to leave and Lucy grabs my arm

Lucy) "T-Tim.....thank you..for everything... You'll never know how much I appreciate it and how much you've helped me.."

I smiled Tim) "Right back at ya...Bye.."

Lucy) "Bye.."

And with that I was out the door and headed to my truck. As soon as I reached it I looked up at the window of her apartment while my heart filled with love and a tear rolled down my face. ------------------

A few days later...

Lucy's pov:

It's the big day! The day I go back to work! I've never felt more ready. After I get my uniform on I start walking into roll call everyone looks shocked but starts clapping. Especially Tim...who has one of the brightest smiles I've ever seen. I can't help but smile as well.

I move over to my seat and sit down

Sgt Gray) "Officer Chen, you have no idea how good it is to have you back. You and Sargeant Bradford both. How are you feeling? Ready to get back to it?"

Ofc Chen) "Thank you sir, I'm feeling great and can't wait to get started."

Most of the day was spent riding solo and taking low risk calls. Except for this one shoot-out. But I shot the guy in the leg before he got anyone and he is recovering in the hospital and is gonna be fine.

Ofc Bradford) "Officer Chen can you go to a separate channel please regarding your previous 10-71?"

Ofc Chen) "Copy that, headed to open private channel. What can I do for you?"

Ofc Bradford) "Will you please meet me at S Highland Ave across the street from house number 1431?"

I give a confused look but still answer his question

Ofc Chen) "Uh.. yeah Of course." ------------------

A few minutes passed and I get out of the car and see Tim, I start walking closer to him and he switches both our body cams off

Lucy) "Um...Tim what are you-

I get cut off by him slightly grabbing my face and kissing me. After he pulled apart I commented

I smiled at him and chuckled Lucy) "Um.. Was that your comment on my...10-71?"

Butterflies fill my stomach Tim held me close

Tim) "I just wanted to see for myself that you were alright. And to love on you..."

He looks in my eyes and kisses me again but softly.

Tim) "See you after shift."

I blush and head back to my shop. ------------------

Tim's pov:

I had just got called to a robbery and could not get this guy. I'm not giving up. I run after him with all my force while he has arms full of cash and avoiding obstacles I finally pull out my tazer and taze him. He shakes and falls to the ground allowing the cash to drop to the ground. Aaron and the bank safe crew grab the cash and put it in a safe bag so no one else can grab him while I grab my handcuffs and put them around his wrists

Tim) "You are under arrest for robbery and resisting arrest, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law...-

I pause to take a breath

Tim) "-You have the right to an attorney, if you can not afford one. One will be provided for you. Do you understand these terms?"

The Robber nods his head and gets in the back of my shop with anger filled eyes.

Tim) "Thanks guys." I said to Aaron and the money crew as I got in the shop. They nodded.

Aaron stops me before I drive off

Aaron) "T-Tim!..Hey I need to talk to you.. it's about someone...not you but is it okay if I run something by you at the food trucks after work?"

What a weird Boot

Tim) "Ummm.. sure? As long as it's not super long I need to get home."

Aaron) "No sir! I promise it will be super fast."

Tim) "mkay. Meet you after shift." I give him a suspicious look and then call Lucy to tell her what I'll be doing after work. ------------------

It's 5:03pm and Aaron still is no where to see. Tim looks at his watch and groans. All he wants to do is be home, visit Lucy and make a final stop somewhere before hanging out with Lucy.

Aaron appears from the entrance near the food courts

Aaron's pov:

Aaron) "Tim! I am so so sorry I'm late!"

Tim) "Yeah whatever, what is it?"

They both sit down and Aaron starts to talk

Aaron) "Well... basically...I wanted to get your advice on something..you know since you're dating a cop...Lucy...An-"

Tim looked at him wide eyed

Tim) "Wait...You're dating a cop?"

Aaron) "Y-yeah? I figured it's not a problem because y'know..."

I pointed between Tim and the woman that was on his phone lockscreen that just lit up with a notification.

Tim) "Celina or Blaire?"

Aaron) "What you don't know that's it's one of them? What if it's someone else?"

Tim tilted his head at me with a dumb look

Aaron) "Okay! Okay...it's Celina...and I'm not dating her yet... I just have really strong feelings for her."

Tim) "Mhm.."

Aaron) "So...like should I tell her?"

Tim leaned back in his chair

Tim) "In my honest opinion, I think you should. I liked and was in love with Lucy way before I told her and if I had done it sooner we could've been together sooner. If you keep it a secret how you feel it's just gonna grow more and more awkward. And if she doesn't feel that way and can't be friends after..that's her fault not yours."

Aaron) "Wow...Thanks Sir...That's really good advice.."

Tim) "Yeah now get home. You look so tired."

I get up out of my chair and head to my car

Aaron) "Thanks Tim!" ------------------

Tim's pov:

After that weird, short meeting with Aaron, I pull up to a local Coffee shop that Lucy first introduced me to.

I order a black coffee with a sugar and I find the reason I came here.

I sit down across from them

Tim) "Mr.Chen....Thank you for meeting me..."
