Clara's knees gave way hearing that. She was frightened, extremely frightened her heart beat fast and soon, she collapsed on the floor. Ezekiel sprung into action and everyone was kicked out of the room except for Evelyn who Logan gestured for her to come over. Not having the strength to argue with him she agreed and stood before him with a bored look on her face. When Ezekiel confirmed that she was fine, the once tensed air settled down and an ambulance was called to take her to an hospital. "Who hit you?" Logan asked as he held up her chin to get a better view of her face. "It doesn't matter who hit me what is it?"she wasn't interested in having a conversation with him. "You really did target my company didn't you?, was it to get back at me?"he asked but she smirked sweetly. "If I were to want to get back at you then that is just too light compared to what I'll do"she replied not bothering to conceal her image before him. "Do you really hate me?"he asked and for a moment she didn't know how to reply to that. Did she hate him?, she does hate him a bit but completely?, not so sure. Either way she had no answer to his question. "Good question, I don't have an answer to that" she replied honestly and he seems not to believe her at first. "First Brother, your flight is ready" Cole interrupted them with an apologetic look on his face. Actually, Logan had flown back home after hanging up the call. He had earlier refused to be a guest speaker but then he suddenly remembered that Evelyn would be there so he called all of them and they arrived immediately Ezekiel finished his surgery. "Okay" was his reply his eyes not leaving her for a moment and Cole wisely excused himself. "I'm leaving now, I won't be back for a month, take care of yourself and you have my number don't forget to call me or any of us if you encounter trouble. You're not Supergirl you can't always handle everything on your own. Remember I'm your backer and those boys are like your brothers if you can't handle it again, seat back and I'll take care of it" he spoke to her in a considerate and warm tone she smiled immediately. "First Master, take care of yourself too. I'll be sure to visit grandma in your stead if I'm free" she smiled at him. She hadn't smiled at him in a long while so obviously he was glad to see her smile but he didn't show it. Logan nodded then turned to leave, saying a thing or too to the boys before leaving with Ezekiel leaving her and Cole behind. "Miss Stone remember when I said after that breakfast you shouldn't have anything to to do with First Brother again you seem not to take my word seriously " Cole said with a serious expression. "We haven't had breakfast yet, only dinner so it's not like I'm not taking your word seriously but I haven't had the breakfast yet" she replied with a smile and he sighed on response. "If I really cannot change your mind when it comes to this then just promise one thing. You're a part of First Brother's life now so no matter what don't leave him. He's not a saint, we all aren't. First Brother as his share of bad social skills but don't give up on him. He's been in a good mood this past few months after he met you so no matter what you can't leave. Promise?"he said with all the sincere his gets and eyes could convey to her. "I don't make promises, but I'll try. I have to try I owe him that much" she said to him but almost like she was convincing herself too. "Thank you then Miss Stone I appreciate it" Cole said sincerely and then walked off to handle his own business. Evelyn began to walk back when her phone rang, the caller ID showed Ryan and a hint of irritation flashed in her eyes. "What?, I'm busy" she said not hiding her displeasure at hearing his voice. "You..... Come home now your brother is home!"he said and Evelyn frowned . 'Brother?, Sam?' she thought as she ended the call. She racked her brain to remember him but only a faint picture came across her mind. She had no strong impression of this so-called brother of hers, and yes her biological brother!. 'Evie!, Sam! Dinner is ready' the joyful cry of her mother calling her children rang in her head but no matter how hard she tried she couldn't come up with a mental image of this so-called brother all she got was an headache. 'Forget it!, he's probably not important' she thought as she exited the hall to go to her dorm but was stopped by a group of girls. They looked like girls that'll be members of the student council or something like that.... "The dean wants to see you right now!"the leader said and Evelyn raised her eyebrows not surprised by about that but still found it amusing. "Lead the way" she said and followed them obediently to wherever it is they were going. When they got there, it was not only the dean but the chairman and every other respected person of the school all standing with a dark face, scaring the life out of Cutie! "You.... It's you!"a middle aged man pointed fingers at her immediately they all sighted her. 'They all look angry what's going on?'she thought as she sat beside Cutie with a confused look. "Don't play dumb!. You made Miss Clara faint from anger is you know what will happen to our school once this news gets out?!" The dean who seemed more rational spoke with anger and malice showing through her thick glasses. "I don't know what will happen to your school" she replied honestly but it seemed to even anger them the more. 'Wasn't honesty the best policy?, why do they all look ready to explode when I'm being honest' she thought to herself feeling that humans are really complicated. "Well I'll tell you insolent child!. Forget about the school shutting down, we'll never be able to appear in the education industry again. We'll be wiped out with no trace" a woman with a tongue as sharp as a sword spoke not hiding her displeasure nor holding back. "Wow! Sounds big!" Evelyn said, awe written on her face as she stared at all of them as if pondering on what to do next. "What is to be done then, I can't let this happen!"she said with worry on her face as tears filled her eyes. Their gazes softened seeing her remorseful face and they spoke with a more gentle voice. "It's simple, apologise to her, don't come back till she forgives you even if it's to grovel at her feet. Do whatever means possible to achieve that" the dean said with determination and finally, Evelyn's facade broke and she let out a mocking laughter. "Over my dead and beautiful body" was her reply as she eyed them all one by one.
