Evelyn raised an eyebrow, casting a faint glance at Ava as she attempted to stir up trouble. Shaking her head ever so lightly, she scoffed, flipping the phone on. "Curiosity killed the cat, Ava" she repeated as she casually held the phone in her white porcelain hands. The colour of the phone complimented beautifully with her skin tone. From the corner of her eye, she saw Ava's eyes gleam brightly as her gaze was fixated intently on the phone held in her palm as though she wanted to snatch it and merge it into her flesh. Hearing her words, she seemed to snap back to reality sneering at her with venom in her eyes then a tinge of calculation flashed in her eyes. "Sister, I was just admiring it,you don't need to be so stingy" she cried, aggrieved. Tears already welled up in her eyes as she purposely directed her gaze to Sam then waiting patiently for the drama to unfold. Sam perked up, his brows furrowed in displeasure as he stated at his supposed sister. He couldn't believe his mother gave birth to this.... This shameful thing! "I'm sure some people must have worked hard; moving from door to door in order to get so much money" he sneered, reaching out to Ava and drawing her behind him to protect her from his unstable sister. Her mood plummeted lower instantly but she didn't dare to show it. How could she not understand the underlying meaning of his words? Ava gasped in horror. Here eyes as wide as saucers as her eyes darted back and forth between the two siblings. One angry and the other nonchalant. "Brother! Don't tell me you're calling sister a prostitute. Stop it!. Even if she uses questionable means to earn money we shouldn't doubt her" she admonished, but her entire demeanor was gloating. Obviously she was just adding fuel to the fire. She crossed her arms over her chest, balancing her weight onto one foot as she watched them act; a faint smile graced her beautiful lips. Ryan snorted, shaking his head 'disappointedly'. If disappointment had a face, then it was Ryan's face at that moment. "Evelyn! I'm very disappointed in you. Even with Ava trying to cover up for you, the truth is obvious, you're a disgrace to the Stone family " he bellowed with anger and pure disappointment. Caroline's eyes lit up at this as she stepped up, sighing like a mother would when her child had done something terrible and had agreed to repent. What an envious motherly love. "Evelyn, your father is right. But we do not blame you. After all, you are young and impulsive, it's only natural for you to desire these things at any price. Hand over the phone. Your father and I will keep it for you until you are mature enough to understand its value" she reached out her palm, expecting her to hand over the phone obediently for 'safekeeping'. But unfortunately, 'obedience' had never been her style. She applauded them earnestly, wiping away the nonexistent tears by the corners of her eyes. "Bravo! Bravo! What a wonderful performance. It brought me to tears" she said as she sniffed, feeling touched. Sam, Ryan, Ava ... All of them except Alexia who was trying hard to hold back her tears had black faces. They looked like they'd strangle her alive then strangle themselves after so they could strangle her by the gates of heaven again that's if she would make it to heaven because many people had wished for her to rot in hell. She scanned all of them lightly, her lips curled up in a gracious smirk before her gaze turned frosty as she sized them all. "It seems life has been rather pleasant for you all; That's my mistake, my apologies.I promise you that from now on, you all will never know a moment of peace". A sudden sense of boredom befell her as she watched their faces become a palette of colours. I turned to leave but Sam rushed up, tightly grabbing my arm. The veins of his forehead bulged along with those on his arms. His jaw was tense and I could almost hear it tic. He appeared extremely angry it was almost.... Amusing "How dare you threaten us?" He forced out from his clenched teeth as his eyes wished to tear her apart. She stared at him, stunned. His grip on her fair wrist was sure to leave a bruise but she decided to let it go in account of blood ties. She then chuckled, meeting his furious gaze head-on with her own glacier like eyes. "Oh,right it's your first time here; I almost forgot. Welcome back, little brother. And besides that, I advise you to get used to this. And also to the streets as that's where you'll end up if you don't open your eyes" she scolded him then her eyes landed on her wrist still tightly clenched in his large hands. She snatched her wrist out of his grip and stormed out of the gates without looking back. Her gaze fell on her, swollen wrist where a bruise had formed.
She had told herself that she wouldn't hold him accountable for the bruise, but what about the trauma accompanied by the bruise. If it doesn't heal, she would be scarred and then the world wouldn't be able to function if such a beauty is scarred. She reached into her bag searching for her ointment then she paused. Her hands searched into her bag, the rustling sound echoes in the air. She dumped out the contents, carefully examining the contents before she scoffed. _Her cash was missing._ She couldn't help but smile. If they wanted to suffer so badly, why not be generous and give them a way? She switched on her phone, dialing a number at the bottom of her phonebook. Connections really is wonderful. "How long would it take to see the Stone family on the streets?"she asked someone who chuckled lightly before responding. "Your wish is my command my queen "
