dd grabbed his phone as he called the girl. hopefully she would answer, he didn't know if she was still mad at him or not. they haven't really talked since last time.

dd waited for the phone to ring, and it was getting closer and closer to voicemail. he was thinking about letting it go and just hanging up completely, but aniyah quickly answered the phone making him whip his head to the sound of the call connecting.

"hello?" aniyah asked fixing her bun as dd smiled almost immediately. aniyah always looked good without trying, and he loved that about her.

"maaaa, i'm sorry for real." dd said apologizing for the 10th time as aniyah rolled her eyes. an apology wasn't gonna cut it anymore. she needed sincereness.

"yeah you told me plenty times, i don't want an apology anymore david." aniyah said as dd sighed lowly before nodding.

"that's why ima make it up to you, ima come over." dd said smirking as aniyah quickly shook her head.

she knew if the boy was to come, they would be kissing more than talking.

"just let me come, i got a surprise for you." dd said knowing aniyah loved surprises. "well.." aniyah said avoiding his gaze as he laughed.

"fine, make it quick." aniyah said as dd nodded quickly. she then hung up leaving him happy that she agreed for him to come.

dd quickly hopped off his bed as he got the gifts ready. he was gonna make things right with his girl

KENNEDY RESIDENCE 7:55PM

dd knocked on aniyah's apartment door as he waited a few seconds. he had chocolate in one hand, a box in the other followed along with flowers.

dd let out a nervous sigh. was aniyah gonna accept his apology just because he got her gifts? he didn't know certainly, but it was worth a shot.

dd lifted his head hearing the sound of footsteps coming closer before the door opened showing aniyah.

"hey." aniyah said before stepping aside and letting dd come in. he then handed her the flowers as she took them with a small smile.

"hm..cute." aniyah said, still trying to drop hints that she was still upset about the about the situation.

"ian done." dd said grabbing aniyah's hands as he led her over to the counter where he sat the chocolate and box.

aniyah eyed the medium sized box with confusion as dd smiled noticing before grabbing the box and opening it showing a chain that had initials on it.

"dd..you didn't have to buy me a chain." aniyah said looking at him with shock all over her face as he let out a laugh.

"you deserve it." dd said shrugging as aniyah shook her head. "you didn't have to buy this dd, but i'll accept the flowers and chocolate." aniyah said as she started heading for the chocolate, but dd quickly stopped her.

"just look at it, it got our initials on it." dd said with happiness in his voice as aniyah awed.

"deadass?" aniyah said gasping with disbelief in her voice as dd nodded quickly. he then grabbed the chain before lifting it up and showing aniyah.

"let me put it on." dd said as aniyah nodded slowly. she didn't know what to do, she never received this much love before.

"dd this is too cute, thank you." aniyah said excitedly as dd smiled before humming a small welcome. "cmon let's go in my room." aniyah said as he nodded. the two then headed to the bedroom.

aniyah sat them both down onto the bed as she hugged him tightly before planting kisses all over his face.

"i love you." aniyah said as dd smiled from ear to ear. it meant a lot, especially because he had been overthinking all week.

"i love you mo." dd said as aniyah then started smiling herself. "about the situation, i did kiss her back for a few seconds ima admit it, but i pushed her away quickly." dd said as aniyah sighed.

"i just felt off about the situation, i thought we were getting somewhere, and then i saw that." aniyah said shrugging as dd nodded slowly. he understood where she was coming from.

and how could he blame her for feeling that way?

"i understand, and i can't do nothing to take it back, i just hope you forgive me." dd said as aniyah sat there for a moment before nodding.

"i do, i can't really be upset honestly." aniyah said before pausing almost immediately. "actually yes i can dickhead." she said before lightly hitting him in his chest as he winced.

"i just don't understand, why did you kiss her back." aniyah said realizing the situation.

"how do you think that made me feel seeing that dd? i was hurt." aniyah said as he nodded. he understood every sentence that aniyah said.

"i know, i know and im sorry ma." dd said to the quiet aniyah.

some small backstory

dd had gotten with lori 2 weeks after becoming bestfriends with aniyah. and she was devistated.

aniyah had been thinking about telling the boy how she felt, but clearly he didn't feel anything due to the fact he got a girlfriend on her.

but the truth was, dd actually had liked aniyah aswell. he was just scared she would reject him due to their recent friendship.

and honestly notti had been pressuring him to tell aniyah aswell, but before he could, lori came, and she ruined those chances.

and for a while dd couldn't get over lori. it was hard considering she was his first everything.

and it hurted aniyah to see how bad lori was doing him. she didn't appreciate dd at all, and aniyah wanted him to realize that.

but he was oh so in love, so what really could she do?

"i wont ever do it again, i wand you to trust me again and just tell me you forgive me." dd said as aniyah shook her head quickly.

"sorry, i'm appreciative and everything, but dd you have to realizing trusting takes time." aniyah said pissing as dd nodded slowly understandingly.

"but i can forgive you for it i guess, but the next time you pull some shit like that it's that ass." aniyah said pointing to him as he laughed before nodding.

"i'm sorry ma, and i ain't mean to hurt you for real." dd said quietly as aniyah listened to him express himself.

aniyah believed him, but it didn't mean she would forget. dd and lori had been together for a while, and she was a number one manipulator, so dd didn't exactly know what love felt like.

but aniyah was there to make sure she would be the one to make him feel it.
