BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!

The clouds above parted, revealing a beam of purple light. Concentric rings, from large to small formed around the impact zone, emitting a deep vibration and an ominous humming sound.

This time, the Archdemon of War could neither block nor dodge. He was forced to face this highest tier of magic head-on, uncertain if either his armor, forged by a dying star, or his raw stats that could shrug off nuclear explosives, would be enough to withstand it.

The beam struck directly where he stood. The immense, crushing force drove him to his knees instantly. Beneath him, the ground began to crack, slowly forming a crater as a shockwave trembled through the entire region. Everyone throughout the Austronesia Empire could now witness the magic that could rival gods.

"RAGGGHHHHHH!!!"

Wil'liam struggled to endure. His armor crumbled, disintegrated piece by piece, but he stood firm as was swallowed up by the light, completely immersing him in its powerful embrace as his armor, body and both souls began to gradually vaporize until there was nothing left. However, that wasn't all.

The light traveled a further distance, going as far as miles upon miles, destroying whatever was in its path. As a result, several tall mountains that were high enough to receive the blast were easily obliterated by it.

It all happened in an instant too, at a speed mere humans could never comprehend.

Finally, as the spell concluded, it culminated in a massive explosion.

When the [Corruption of Stars], a Transcendent Tier 4 spell, finally lost its momentum, it left behind nothing but dust and debris. Half of Marawi city and the entire environment area was obliterated.

The demons who had survived the blast rushed over to the battle site, only to find a 2000-meter-wide-crater. In the center lay the Archdemon of War, Wil'liam

On the opposite side of the crater, they saw the Elven Goddess of the Holy Light, Rasera, floating in the sky, likely clearing herself from the massive blast. As her mana was nearly depleted, she descended rapidly.

But even though her energy was spent, the demonic energy miles in her surroundings suddenly converted back into pure mana by her mere presence and entered her body to recover her depleted power.

However, she was confused. Her attack had a greater disintegration effect. Not only could it vaporize anything, but it could also affect something at a soul level.

Somehow, War survived.

And the reason is simple...

"I decided to leave my dreary abode, yet what do I find here?" A voice that no one had ever heard before suddenly rang in everyone's ears.

It was loud.

It was deep.

It was commanding.

"This place looks even more boorish than the previous city. I wonder why..." The owner of the voice stood at the center of the chaos, almost as if he had been there all along.

He had flowing white hair, with hues of crimson-red and golden-yellow gleaming from its glossy surface, and his mature face lay bare for all to see.

This man wore a long, exquisite robe. The kind of apparel that only royalty would be allowed to wear. It had none of the unnecessary jewelry and excessive designs that often bloated the attire of human nobility, yet something about his form seemed more pristine.

He wore a single obsidian necklace that gleamed with otherworldly beauty, and his pure black attire had reddish designs that made it stand out beneath the glow of the moon.

The whites of his eyes were doused in black, and his irises were a fine blend of red and yellow.

Then, decorating his head, as if they were crowns born from his natural skin, were two red horns.

"Did someone die or something?" The man smiled, clearly chuckling at his joke as he floated about a meter in the air with two of his bat-like wings on his back and both hands were behind him as he observed his surroundings.

The filth and debris were all fed into his senses as he took a swift look around.

Standing behind him were two of his subordinates, Death and Famine. Although they were being completely silent and seemed very obedient, they both stared at the other two demons in the ground with a sneer.

"L-Lord Andromalius!" The voice of Wil'liam, who is now merely a half a head, rang out loud in a way that no one had ever heard before.

His tone was filled with only one thing.

...Pure reverence.

Who could blame him? For he was in the presence of one of the 72 Demon Lords, Lord Andromalius.

Compared to them, they were but mere specks that could do nothing but bow their heads and grovel before his magnificence.

"L-Lord Andromalius?!" Conquest shouted with a stupefied face.

That very moment, the creatures known as invincible showed greater awe and reverence to a more supreme entity.

"Well, this is indeed an unexpected turn of events..." The Demon Lord turned away from the weaker members of his race and finally returned his attention to the woman in armor who watched in absolute silence.

"So... were you the one who let out that powerful surge of mana?"

'Damn it, we're doomed.'

Those were Rasera's only thoughts when she gazed upon the Demon Lord.

The being's overwhelming presence, his immaculate attire, his commanding expression. All of it oozed the same thing.

Power.

Sheer, unbridled power!

Everyone present was nothing compared to this supreme entity, one that could even be revered as a deity.

He had survived and blocked [Corruption of Stars] with little damage. Although the spell was only one-tenth of its true power, had it been at its full strength, the Demon Lord would have been helpless against it. It could have injured or possibly even killed him, as these things are deadly as the Gamma Rays she had heard about from mortals.

And despite her sheer willpower and hatred towards Demons, Rasera found her legs shaking, almost tempting to buckle and crumble to the earth.

It took all of her strength to remain upright and still.

Even the noisy demons in the area fell silent the moment the Demon Lord appeared, so the entire expanse became as silent as a graveyard.

Not even the strained breathing of the others could be heard.

They all had to be quiet and look to the one who held their lives in his hands.

"I asked a question, but it seems like you are not willing to respond." The Demon Lord itched his ear a little, scanning the audience a little before sighing.

"Look, you should just relax a little, okay? I didn't come here to fight or anything. If I did, you'd be dead by now."

The Lord was right.

Yet, the way he said it so casually made Rasera's heart squeeze in pain. The weight of powerlessness was heavy on her, but she could still say nothing.

"You can rest assured that I won't harm you right now. I'll take my leave as soon as I'm done satiating my curiosity, so don't worry." He added, scanning the audience once again.

Despite being a goddess, Rasera's mind was clouded by grief, pain, and fear, but there was no way she would fall for such an obvious front from a treacherous demon.

The smile of the Demon Lord was calm, kind, and even somewhat friendly. It seemed so genuine that, despite his overwhelming presence and might, one could probably believe his words and sympathize with his intentions.

But...

'I'm not buying it.' Her mind echoed as she gritted her teeth.

Demons were the pinnacle of evil. They desired nothing but chaos and took pleasure in inflicting as much of that chaos on those they deemed inferior to them.

There was no way a Demon Lord would try to sympathize with anything other than themselves, or think of sparing them upon meeting them.

Demons were brutal and merciless, and this one was no exception.

'He'll get the information he desires, and then he'll annihilate everyone and everything that exists in his line of sight.'

No one would be spared from his power.

"I can see that you distrust me quite a bit, and I understand why..." Andromalius' voice suddenly echoed in the air, instantly suspending Rasera's thoughts.

"But you're really overestimating yourself if you think I would make a personal effort to eliminate you." He sighed. "Where's the pleasure in that?"

Rasera felt her teeth clenching against each other as she made a deep scowl.

The Demon Lord looked at her in particular and broadened his smile. "Even now, despite seeing you cause so much damage to two of my subordinates, especially receiving such blatant disrespect and sensing such deep animosity from you, I still refuse to take your life."

Yes. He made it a point that he could kill her at any time.

Rasera and Andromalius were miles apart in strength and power, and even if the Goddess was in her true power, she still doubted on defeating him.

Her life was literally in his hands.

"I just don't want to. It'll be too bland to do so now, especially since it proves me right that there are stronger powers out there in the world," he chuckled, "So in essence... you were not worthy to die by my hands."

He floated off from Rasera and went to the side of the two injured subordinates, his backs turned against the purported enemy.

But, both sides knew that they were no real threats to him.

"But instead, I'll let you be the punching bag of two of my subordinates here. Haha! Have fun!" He waved, and then in the blink of an eye, all three of them vanished.

VWUSH!

And with that, slight crackles of crimson lightning and energy danced around the area where the three demons previously occupied. Now, it was empty.

The only ones left on the devastated grounds were Rasera and the two demons.

'Him being a twisted asshole doesn't even surprise me... prick.'

"So Famine, you heard our master," A new voice suddenly echoed, and Rasera looked up to see the two Archdemons floating in the air with their wings spread wide.

"Of course I do, Azeroth," Famine said as her gaze examined Rasera's body.

Despite her armor covering almost every inch with less skin exposed, her curvy figure was still evident.

"I just can't wait to make her my toy," Famine said, licking her lips subconsciously with a predatory gaze.

Sensing this, Rasera couldn't help but feel disgusted. Those hungry eyes reminded her of how she had been ogled by other degenerate gods during her time meeting with the deities in the Immaterial realm.

"ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ"

The next moment, two new wings of devastation erupt from her back, emitting brilliant light that blinded onlookers and caused mass destruction in their path.

With a flap of her wings, Rasera flew hundreds of meters into the sky in less than a second, leaving a massive crater below and facing her opponent at the same altitude.

Seeing this, Death started glowing intensely with demonic energy and a smile spreading across his face.

"Yes! This is it! Show us what you can do!" he said, tightening his grip on his crimson-glowing scythe.

Behind him, Famine stepped forward and stood next to Death.

"Awake."

BOOOM!

A terrific aura exploded from Famine's voluptuous body and headed straight to the sky.

Booom! Boom! Boom!

In seconds, Famine's body transformed into a humanoid dragon form, complete with two curved dark horns, a long tail, and dragon scales. Clenching her fist, Famine, who had awakened the dragon soul she fused with, felt infinite power.

Crack!

The entire world seemed to tremble as she clenched her fist, as if she held the world in her palm.

In the next moment, a spear emitting a scarlet-red mist that screamed death appeared in her hand.

"Hah! I miss this feeling," the transformed Famine said with a hoarse voice that shook the surrounding space. She raised her spear and swung it.

BOOM!

The dark clouds surrounding her were split in two, and a mountain two kilometers away was cleaved in half.

As the three prepared to begin their fight, none of them noticed they were being watched from space.

A second satellite, sent by the higher officials of the Austronesia Empire, captured the scene. The first thing they witnessed was a literal hell and pure destruction in Marawi City, which is now beyond recognition.

They were even shocked by the transformed Famine's strength when she split the mountain apart.

As for Melian, none of them had expected her to be this incredibly strong and cause such destruction.

"Should we help?" one of the officials asked.

Hearing this question, Emperor Maximo narrowed his eyes and let out a sigh.

"No, not yet."

With those words, he and the rest of the nation's most important individuals could only watch the battle through the live satellite feed.

It was a battle that would determine the fate of their nation.

As time passed, both sides slowly backed away from each other. As soon as they stopped, the three flew towards each other at blinding speed, and their weapons clashed, creating massive crimson and golden flaming explosions that incinerated the area around them.

"Unbelievable."

As the battle begins, Emperor Maximo and the rest of the officials watch in stunned silence. They didn't want to believe their eyes on what they were seeing, but it was like they were watching a superhero film or one of those Japanese Cartoons.

However, what they were seeing was real.

"With this destruction, I doubt anyone in the 19th Black Armored Division will surely survive this," A politician remarked.

"Pfft! I don't pity these scums," one of the military generals sneered.

"Fernandez, General Sethlord Rogan, can you all be silent?" Emperor Maximo muttered, fixing them with a sharp gaze. "This is a fight that will determine the fate of this nation. If the Elf Queen loses, it will all be over."

——————————————————

The entire city of Marawi was in ruins. Every building in the vicinity was crumbled. Fires, unchecked by the forest's natural magic, smoldered in parts of the battlefield. Pools of lava, poisonous clouds of fog, and patches of frozen ice marred the landscape, some contaminating the surroundings. Animals, beasts and demons lay dead, victims of the three combatants' unintentional attacks.

Rasera stood on one side of the devastation, still on her feet and seemingly unscathed. She had not sustained any injuries.

However, the injuries Melian had sustained before her transformation were beginning to take their toll. It seemed her current form had limited time left. Continued hits from powerful attacks would cause it to crumble, leaving Melian defenseless.

On the other side stood her two opponents, which were two Archdemons known as Death and Famine.

"Come at me, demons! I will purge all of you from the souls of H'trae!"

Spreading her wings that radiated divine presence, she quickly launched several waves of golden flames from her Divine Sword towards the two approaching demons.

"Hahahaha!! This is the thrill that was missing!" Death laughed as he and Famine quickly shattered and deflected all the attacks with their respective weapons, closing the distance between them and the Goddess.

As the two sides were about to collide, Rasera swung her sword horizontally and the three weapons clashed, producing a stream of lightning strikes and pushing them back from each other.

Rasera morphed her flaming wings into the heads of three dragons, which spewed a large torrent of flames towards the two demons at a terrifying velocity.

"Little Goddess whore!"

Without missing a beat, Famine stood in front of Death and simply swung her spear down at the oncoming attack, completely splitting the flames with seemingly minimal effort.

The now divided attack veered in separate directions from each other. One went to the left, and the other to the right.

The fire blast destroyed two different mountains they made contact with, reducing them to smoldering rubble and rendering the environment uninhabitable.

"Go for it!"

Death pointed his hand towards Rasera, and a small black magic circle appeared at the tip of his palm.

"[True Death]"

As Death casted his magic, a pillar of darkness was unleashed towards Rasera.

"Bloody demons!"

Morphing the dragon heads back into wings, Rasera used them to block the beam of darkness, failing to notice Famine teleport behind her and slashed her back. At the same time, Death flies towards Rasera and punches her chest before grabbing her face and throwing her towards a building at mach speeds, crashing into its middle section.

"They do not call me the master of Death for nothing," he said calmly, grinning as two dark orbs the size of SUVs appeared in his hands.

"[COLLAPSING CHAOS]!"

As he shouted, he hurled the orbs toward the building while Famine sent a pink sword slash. Both attacks hit, causing a massive explosion that could be seen across the city.

"USELESS!"

Like a bullet, Rasera flew out of the explosion and swung her sword horizontally, sending a flaming slash towards them, but the two quickly flew over the attack, which hit dozens of buildings, cutting them in two and igniting a golden flaming explosion that destroyed them completely.

"Hm, her power is no joke." Death remarked.

In the following moment, Rasera's wings morphed into long, stretchable arms and grabbed the two before swinging down and slammed the two into the ground, splitting it apart.

"You will not win this!"

As Rasera landed on the ground, Death pulled out his scythe and sliced the flaming hands holding him and Famine into pieces, freeing themselves.

"Curses," Rasera muttered as her arms shifted back into wings.

Then, she flies towards them and swings her sword, but Death and Famine parried the attack. However, Rasera used her wings to sweep their legs before morphing her wings into massive hands and slammed them into a wall.

Snap!

With a snap of her fingers with her other flaming arm, she created a combustion explosion out of thin air in front of the two Archdemons, sending them flying through several buildings and crashing into a tank, which exploded in a massive fireball.

"Hahahaha!"

With sinister laughter, an unknown black substance emerged from the flames and formed back into the demon in a suit.

"Combustion fire explosions by snapping your fingers. Not bad."

At that moment, Famine materializes above Rasera by teleportation and aims a vertical swing with her spear, which Rasera blocked with her wings.

"So can I."

As he spoke, Death's arms covered themselves in glowing crimson-red, filled with arcane symbols.

He snapped his fingers, and Famine teleported away just as a crimson combustion explosion ignites beneath Rasera's feet, sending her soaring into the air, where Famine reappeared mid-flight, spinning and kicking her back toward Death, who caught her and flies forward, ramming her through several buildings before slamming her face into the ground.

An orb of darkness formed on his palm, and he slapped it into Rasera's face, sending her crashing into a nearby building.

"I am still not done!" Rasera shouted, stepping out of the wreckage.

"You will be," Death replied with a shit-eating grin, and his shadow, which seemed squirmed creepily, as though they were countless creatures living in it that was waiting to be released.

As Famine landed beside Death, countless nightmarish creatures surged out of his shadow and rushed towards Rasera.

"Out of my way!"

Holding her sword firmly, the weapon's size suddenly expanded to twice her size. She swung it in several different angles, slicing her way through the horde of abominations as Emperor Maximo and the rest of the governmental officials observed the battle from a satellite feed.

"When did she become this strong? There are no reports saying this level of strength," a government official spoke.

"She must have been blessed by some higher entity, a divine intervention, I assume," Emperor Maximo replied.

"What makes you say that, your Majesty?" asked one of the politicians with a frown.

"I know you want to deny this due to your atheist views, Noelle. But what we are witnessing defies scientific explanation. This is literally something divine unfolding before our eyes," Maximo said as he returned his gaze at the television screen, where Melian morphed her wings into flaming whips and swinged at the monstrous shadowy entities, cutting the horde in two as well as the two Archdemons.

"She got them!!" a staff member shouted.

But at this moment, the two demons suddenly dissipated into particles.

"What?!"

"Tch, illusions," Rasera clicked her tongue in annoyance as she spotted the two demons on top of the roof of a small building with dozens of other replicates of Death on nearby rooftops on other buildings, all staring down at her with killer intent.

"But this won't stop me. I can just kill all you at the same time and wipe the real one out!!"

"Not unless we roast you first!" The replicas shouted in unison as they sent forth a massive pillar of black flames towards Rasera, who quickly formed a multi-layer magical dome, blocking the flames, which scorched the area around her.

As the flames dissipated, all of the replicas rushed forward from all angles. With a ferocious roar, Rasera unleashed everything she got from decapitating a huge number of them at blinding speed to raining heavy punches, shattering bones, sending blood and bites of muscle in all directions.

Shing!

Rasera suddenly kneeled down as a replica managed to slash her leg with its scythe, even more showing up jumping on her, sending more attacks and injuries for the Elven Goddess. In absolute annoyance, Rasera growled as she punched the ground with her flaming arm, summoning massive pillars of golden flames beneath the demon clones and incinerating them to nothing. However, Famine vanished, and even Death that was next to her was destroyed by the flames, meaning none of them were the real ones.

"Damn it!"

Famine suddenly appeared right next to the dome and executed a powerful 360-degree spin slash with her spear, slicing through the dome and slashed Rasera in the chest, cutting through her magical defenses and armor, leaving a massive gaping wound.

"GRAAAH!!"

"Accept your fate, you parasitic god!" Famine laughed maniacally.

With a stomp of her foot on the ground, she launched herself around Rasera, creating almost a hundred afterimages she created.

Within seconds, she slashed at Rasera's body and armor, while Rasera tried to block the attacks with her wings and weapons.

"[Light Field]"

Activating her Light Domain, Rasera was able to predict Famine's next position, seeing her appear to her left.

"Got you."

Before Famine could react, Rasera punched her in the gut, causing her to cough up blood. As Famine tried to scream, Rasera silenced her by stomping her face into the ground and pointing her sword at her head.

"You're finished now, demon! [Corruption of Sta-"

Just as Rasera was about to unleash her ultimate attack, Death manifested himself at the end of the street behind the Goddess and pointed his index finger at her in a finger gunpoint.

[Void Bullet]

"Bang."

Shooting out of the tip of his index finger was a black projectile, smaller than an ant and darker than the night itself.

Bang!

Not even a millisecond had passed, the bullet struck Rasera in the back, somehow piercing through her multi-layer magical barrier, multiple resistance, and armor without an effort.

"Argh!!"

"Hahahaha!! Bang!"

Another bullet pierced through Rasera's armor and flesh, causing her to wince in pain and feel her power is slowly draining, but was getting hit by more invisible bullets as she walked backwards and getting pushed back by them.

"BANG!"

A bullet obliterated her left flaming arm, and somehow prevented from regenerating.

"HAHAHAHA!! BANG!! BANG!!"

Two more bullets struck her wings, destroying them and forcing Rasera to kneel down on the ground while Death and Famine stood in front of her, preparing to strike her down with their weapons.

"Anything to say, you divine whore?" Death said as he and Famine sneered at her state.

However...

"[Corruption of Stars]"

Widening their eyes in horror, the two Archdemons used everything they had to either block or evade the attack.

But it was too late.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

A massive pillar of white light that split heaven and earth was unleashed upon the two demons point-blank.

However, Death was able to be fast enough to unleash his most powerful attack.

"[Judgement Bullet]"

Pointing his finger at the incoming beam, he then used a bullet which is a combination of all of the bullets with various effects into one with devastating potency and speed.

"Bang!"

The moment the bullet appeared, the entire landscape shook and space cracks was trailed from the the bullet's path.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

Everything within a hundred meters was completely destroyed and the three were blasted back.

Although most of them were suffered severe injuries, they were able to survive but were sent flying and crashing into a building with half of their bodies gone.

"This is unexpected," Death said as body began to regenerate.

"You think!?!"

In the next moment, Rasera fired several flaming spheres into the building, causing a massive explosion and destroyed the structure entirely.

But Rasera knew they would survive this.

Just as she predicted, the two Archdemons flew out and charged at her, kneeing her face, But Rasera regenerated her left flaming arm and wings, then punched them in the face with both fists and slashed their chest with her wings.

Famine retaliated by slashing her shoulders while Death struck her back, but Rasera grabbed both their heads anr headbutted them before slashing their abdomens.

In the next course of a few seconds, the three continued exchange blows with fists and weapons, not caring for defending themselves as their blood dripped steadily on the ground with each hit they made on each other.

And the higher officials of the nation watch this.

"I know we are desperate to stop them from reaching the stage, but they aren't even caring about how many hits they take. Unless one of the two parties stands victorious, they won't stop," Emperor Maximo observed.

As the three paused, they catch their breath as blood and sweat drenched their exhausted bodies.

"Are you two done already, or should we call this a draw?" Rasera asked.

"Shut it!" Death spat, panting heavily. "I haven't shown my entire power, but I will now! I'm ending this here and now!"

Purple sparks of energy began to surround him, and the crimson glow in his eyes turned the same hue. The energy radiated, pulsating forth until the litter of demon corpses throughout the city began to exhibit the same color.

The white sigils on the backs of his black gloves lit up with a deep purple light, as numerous glowing purple eyes began to open among the shadows that were swirling around him. His hands wove back and forth, tracing an intricate pattern in the air, before his fingertips came together to form a square in front of him as a larger blood-red eye opened in the center of his chest.

"Releasing Control-Art Restraint..."

For a moment, Death's entire shadow seemed to rip itself apart, dissolving into a storm of red-and-black shadows, a shadow-type ethereal essence, a twisted amalgamation of flesh with numerous red eyes formed as they scattered around and attached to any nearby corpses they saw.

"Level 7..."

The world held its breath as it waited for him to complete his words.

"...Compound Corpse."

The moment he uttered those words, the meaty flesh and bloodied entrails of the demon corpses began to jerk to life.

All the blood around them swiftly started to converge, all of them seeping into the distorted forms of men. It happened so quickly that only a few could process the occurrence.

Once the blood vanished, all of the plump flesh began to merge into just one target, the skinless form of the one who was yet to die.

Soon, its body was covered in the flesh of everyone.

"Fshuu..." It gave heavy breaths as it rose to its new, towering form.

It was at least two-hundred feet tall, with a plump body that showed the combination of countless life forms being merged into one.

One could still see toes or some heads sticking out of the robust abomination that stood tall and mighty.

This thing could not be called a human.

It was... a being of horror.

"I thought, as an appetizer, you could enjoy your first battle of the night with this," the Archdemon of Death said, stretching his hand towards the flesh monster.

He had a tone that oozed pride. It almost seemed like the man thought his actions warranted thanks and reverence from the audience.

This is also being witnessed by the higher officials of the nation, and seeing its appearance alone made them all cowered in fear.

"Dear God," one of the politicians muttered in complete horror.

"What in the Lovecraftian is that!?"

"Why do they get the big monsters and we don't?" another added.

"ROARRRRRR!!!"

The whole pace shook as the abomination began charging at Rasera with a heaven-defying roar.

The Elven Goddess extended her mighty sword, looking down at the abomination before her, and casted her trump card right away.

"[Corruption of Stars]"

As she cast her spell, the massive corpse monster managed to reach the Goddess and shot all of its tentacles at once against her.

"Hideous monster. Die!"

Then, silence prevailed on the entire battlefield, not even the demon army or the Archdemon could utter a single word from the immense power they felt.

Not even a single nanosecond has passed, and as if time itself has been split into two, the attack from Rasera was shot at the speed surpassing light itself.

The attack was in an instant and it already reached countless tentacles from the Compound Corpse before it.

BOOM!!!!!!!

The two forces collided, and the Compound Corpse had already lost the battle as its whole body was vaporized just an instant, without leaving any trace behind.

"How weak. Did you think sending a low tier Undead monster against a Transcendent could work?"

There was no way the Undead could have survived from that.

"Oh, you pitiful Goddess. You're making one fatal error, though."

The wide smile and condescending words proceeding from the demon caused everything around to tremble.

"You've overestimated your actions."

"Huh...?"

The impossible began to happen in the presence of the Goddess and the nation's leaders.

FSHUU!

Particles of dark red liquid began to appear in the air. This was quickly followed by patches of flesh-like muscles, and then bones, before dead skin finally wrapped itself around everything to form a singular entity.

That singular entity... was the Compound Corpse.

"What!?"

"Ahahahahaha!! You should know that Compound Corpses have multiple lives. They possess the same amount of lives as the number of corpses used in creating them."

As the black-suited demon uttered those words, the colossal entity began to stand.

"You killed this Corpse only once, and you have to kill it a million times more. Even if you want to kill it at once, you need to kill it entirely at an atomic level, unless, of course, you had a higher-level Existence Erasure Magic!" As those words echoed in the air, an ominous ambiance took over. "Furthermore, it evolves upon each death so that it doesn't suffer again. This adaptability depends on the material used for its creation,"

In this case, it meant this abomination was virtually immortal and grew stronger with each evolution.

"It seems you still have a long way to go!"

In the next moment, the Compound Corpse opened one of its numerous mouths and unleashed [Corruption of Stars] towards the Goddess. Rasera, using all her power, flew above the strike, which obliterated countless buildings and several mountains in its path.

"Tch!"

Coming to a halt, Rasera fired several fireballs from her wings, but the Compound Corpse blocked the barrage with its tentacles, exploding and blowing chunks off of it.

With a fearsome shriek, the Compound Corpse swung several of its tentacles, each tearing through space and opening rifts that sent more tentacles through. Moments later, a number of portals opened behind Rasera, and tentacles shot through them. Rasera used her wings to block the attack, but the monster's overwhelming strength sent her flying into the streets.

With that, the Compound Corpse fired Rasera's [Corruption of Stars] from its mouth, but she quickly flew into the air as the divine ray annihilated ten city blocks like it was nothing.

At that moment, the Compound Corpse leaped high over Rasera and launched its tentacles down. but the Goddess swiftly flew around, avoiding the tentacles that tore the earth apart and demolished everything wherever they landed.

As it landed back on the ground, the Compound Corpse tore another space on the ground and sent its tentacles into it. A heartbeat later, a space rift opened above Rasera, and the tentacles shot through, pushing her into the roof of a building and crushing them both.

The Compound Corpse's tentacles reached into the crumbled building, grabbing Rasera out of the rubble and crush her by wrapping her tightly, causing her to cough up more blood.

"AHHHHHHH!!"

"You got anything more left with your tricks? I'm still waiting!" Death laughed along with Famine as they watched her suffering in amusement.

In pure rage, Rasera's wings ignited an explosion, destroying the Compound Corpse's tentacles and freeing herself. She landed on a roof and let out a war cry as the flames on her body grew brighter and more intense than before.

"I'LL SHOW YOU MORE, YOU ABOMINATIONS!!"

Then she shouted.

"[Divine Beast Summoning: SSS-tier]"

Kang!

There was a bright flash of light that forced everyone to close their eyes, and when they opened them again, most of them were gobsmacked by the sight before them.

A gigantic figure appeared above Rasera and the Compound Corpse. This figure wore a white robe, was blindfolded, had beautiful silver hair, and twelve pairs of white wings.

Not only the humans but also the demon army and the Archdemons felt fear gripping their souls for the first time since they had stepped foot into this world. Even the Compound Corpse stepped back and seemed afraid. Before it could do anything, the Angel swung the giant sword in her hands.

Kabooooom!

Almost all of the Demon Army, including the Compound Corpse, were annihilated, and the entire city was cleaved in two.

Not even the Compound Corpse's insane regeneration and adaptability could withstand this level of power.

Everything within a hundred kilometers trembled before the might of the highest-level Summoning Angel. The presence of this beautiful angel was like the descent of the strongest archangel Michael, her twelve pairs of wings moving simultaneously. It was like the bane for evil, as every dark energy trying to gnaw at Rasera's presence disappeared immediately.

This was her trump card.

"W-What is that?!!" Famine exclaimed as she turned to face Death, who had a far more complicated expression. Yes, something akin to fear was embedded deep within his eyes, but there was something else.

...Something more primal.

"No... way," he mumbled, his calm and collected mask completely shattering that very instant.

"T-THAT'S A SERAPH EMPYREAN!!"

Panic mixed with an instinctive desire for survival filled his face.

From what he knew, these Angels were one of the highest, if not the highest ranked Angel-type summoning beings.

They were heaven's most powerful spiritual entities that had slaughtered countless Archdemons like them and single-handedly stopped Armageddon on more than one occasion.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

An immeasurable burst of crimson energy exploded that very instant, all rising from the Archdemon. Without hesitation, he began to initiate his full power.

"Release Restraint Level 0, Primeval Lich!"

Once he shouted those words, he called forth his strongest summons. A shadowy entity emerges from the sea of darkness, revealing it to be a creature of horror.

'Primeval Lich, one of my most powerful and dangerous monsters that I've been contained. Its mere presence alone is enough to cause mass death. If there is anything that could rival that Angel is this monster of Death!'

Staring at the Seraph Empyrean with its deathly glare, one of the rulers of the dead manifest a humongous scythe filled with miasma and emits the power of Death.

The Seraph did the same and ready its Divine Blade that will smite its evil counterpart.

Like the battle between Lucifer and Archangel Michael, the distance between them was instantly shortened, and they clashed with their godly weapons.

BOOOOOM!

Their clash was so powerful it caused an explosion that destroyed the surrounding clouds.

But the powerful explosion didn't affect the two powerful beings. In mere moments, the Arch Lich unconsciously began to emit a tremendous amount of negative energy bursting out from him as it covered half the landscape with its deathly embrace.

At the same time, the Seraph does the same thing as positive energy bursts from within her and covers the other half of the landscape in its prideful embrace.

The two opposite energies clashed to a standstill.

Black and White.

Good and Evil.

In that area of effect, life thrived and died at the same time. For the next couple of seconds, the effects of their attack ceased with a shockwave that trembled the fabric of space before they clashed again.

It was being watched by both leaders of the Empire and the remaining members of the 19th Black Armored Division a hundred kilometers from their previous position.

And they all could only watch in complete silence, their faces filled with shock and awe upon seeing something that seemed only possible in dreams.

"This... this is the most beautiful thing I've seen in my long life," General Francisco muttered as a tear leaked from his eye. "Is this a sign from God? A savior from heaven, sent here as it was written?"

Though he, his remaining soldiers, and the corpses of their fallen men had been suddenly transported a hundred miles from Marawi City by that Alien Witch, they could see the world divided into black and white.

It was as if a divine battle were occurring.

Just then, General Francisco noticed a wave of white energy heading in his direction. Before he knew it, it passed over him. Touching his chest, Francisco thought it might have done something, but he felt nothing.

"Weird..."

But then...

"MAJOR GENERAL!!"

His thoughts were interrupted by one of his soldiers. He let out an annoyed growl and turned to shout back, only to find himself witnessing something that can only be described as a miracle.

"What in the...?"

Before the Major General, countless corpses of his fallen men, most inside body bags, began to awaken from death. It was a miracle that none of his surviving men shot them if not for their senses not alerting them of danger.

Alexandre Trese, who was about to place a soldier, whose body was torn to pieces, into a body bag, was shocked to see the mutilated pieces of the corpse reattach themselves.

She would have shot the body down if she hadn't recognized who it was.

"Holy shit, Private Medorie. I saw you get dismembered or mutilated by those demons. What the hell happened?"

The female soldier, who was supposed to be dead, placed her palm on her head and groaned, "I don't know. I had this strange dream in some courtroom. Before the judge said 'I'm Guilty,' I came back here."

"Still, I can't believe I've witnessed a resurrection," Trese laughed, shouting into the air, "Haha yeah! Fuck you, atheist socialist scums! Fairy tale my ass, our faith in the Lord has proven to be superior once again!"

————————————————————

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Once again, the two massive entities charged and shattered the earth as a result of them kicking the ground beneath their feet. The Seraph Empyrean dodged a swing from the Primeval Lich and retaliated by swinging her sword, but the Primeval Lich retreated in time. However, it cost its scythe to be torn apart by the divine blade.

Enraged, the ultimate undead shoulder bashed the Angel into a building and punched her twice in the chest before grabbing a nearby structure and swinging it at the Angel, who blocked the attack with her sword and quickly kicked the Primeval Lich away before slashing his chest and causing a dark substance to leak from the wound.

The Primeval Lich let out a terrifying, otherworldly shriek as it quickly dodged a vertical swing from the Seraph's sword. He morphed his right arm into a curved blade and slashed the Angel's abdomen, leaving a deep mark.

The Seraph Empyrean parried a horizontal swing from the Primeval Lich's blade, quickly positioning herself behind him and slashed his back with her sword. However, the monster grabbed her legs, spun her around, smashing her into several buildings around him and tossed her into the air. He then morphed his left arm into a scythe and leaped toward his nemesis and swung his weapon down on the Angel, who used her wings to block the attack, but was launched back into the ground, leaving a dust cloud upon impact.

"It's time to end this!"

By the words of his master, the Primeval Lich coated its fists in black flames and flew towards the Angel at mach speed.

"YOUR ROAD ENDS HERE!"

As the Angel stood up from her feet, her wings extended massively with golden flames and she flew towards the Primeval Lich at mach speed, leaving a sonic boom behind that shattered the earth and nearby buildings.

"RAAAAAAHHHH!!"

"RAAAAΑΑΑΑΑΗΗΗΗΗΗ!!"

As the two titans were close enough, Death, Famine, and Rasera leaped off their respective titans and towards each other in slow motion.

And with their weapons colliding at full power along with the weapons the Primeval Lich and the Seraph Empyrean, the collision created a massively bright explosion that engulfed the entire city and the surrounding environment, destroying and sending powerful shockwaves across the landscape.

BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!

The shockwaves were so powerful that it even reached General Francisco and the resurrected soldiers of the 19th Black Armored Division as they grabbed onto anything that was anchored tightly to the ground, while many were pushed back a few feet away by the shockwave. Small objects were sent flying, glass and windows on their vehicles shattered, and one of the armored vehicles was flipped over.

But the only thing unfazed by the storm was a single plastic chair.

"HANG! ON!

"THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!"

"SAME HERE!"

To their relief, the shockwave died down. Another fortunate thing is that there are no deaths by the shockwave with only a number of injuries.

Meanwhile, the satellite in space was able to capture everything that unfolded and the leaders of the nation had witnessed all of it.

On the screen they were watching, they were able to see the entire city and its surroundings was completely covered in smoke and ash, with yellow and black flames in some areas. Most structures and buildings were either gone, damaged beyond repair, or somewhat standing to a degree.

"I can only wonder if there are more beings as powerful as them in this world. It's fascinating... yet concerning."

As the smoke began to clear, a few figures were left standing in the complete wasteland.

It was Rasera, Death, and Famine.

Above them stood the Seraph Empyrean, who had won the battle against the Primeval Lich.

Seeing this, Rasera smiled confidently at the two Archdemons, who were the only left.

"What will you do now?"

The two demons could only exchange glances. Realizing their predicament, they knew there was nothing they could do.

"We'll surrende-"

VWUUUSH!

In the blink of an eye, the trio of demons returned, all of them looking good as new.

Conquest and War can be seen respectively keeping their heads bowed as the Demon Lord stood before them.

He still had a calm smile on his face, with both hands placed behind him and a gentle aura surrounding his stifling presence.

"Are you winning, son...?" He began to ask, only to pause the moment he lay his eyes on the Angel in the sky.

Seeing their master's arrival, Death immediately stood up. "Lord Andromalius! We are glad to see yo-"

Andromalius silenced him with a raised finger. "None of you informed me of this entertaining play here. How selfish of you, Azaroth."

"M-My apologies, my lord," Azaroth responded, bowing his head.

Turning his attention from his servant, the Demon Lord set his gaze on Rasera and the Angel in the sky.

"Why don't we restart this battle? I was disappointed it ended so soon. Would you mind if I let War and Conquest join in?" His smile remained gentle as he addressed Rasera.

Rasera, meanwhile, could only scowl at him inwardly. Now she has to fight two more Archdemons?

While her summoning Angel could potentially challenge the Demon Lord himself, that doesn't change the fact that she has to face four Archdemons at once.

This was just unfair.

"Now that we're all here, why don't we begin right about now?"

BOOOOOOOM!!!

Before anyone could even react, a massive, dreadful aura was released from the Demon Lord, it was so overwhelming that it overwhelmed both of his servants and even Rasera.

But the only one who is unfazed by such overwhelming power was none other than the Seraph Empyrean.

————————————————————

Not only the Demon Lord's aura ripple through Mindanao, but it even sent shockwaves across the entirety of the Austronesia Empire, and every single of its citizens fell into great disarray.

Even in the halls of power in Manila, the assembled leaders stared in disbelief at the intermittently flickering screen at this moment as each and every member of the key individuals of the nation couldn't believe what they were seeing. On one side stood a colossal Angel of the size of the Statue of Liberty wrapped in an radiant aura of light, and on the opposing end stood the Demon Lord enveloped in a swirling blizzard of death.

This apocalyptic scene shook everyone.

"What... What the hell is this power?" in a voice filled with disbelief, a woman could not help but scream and break the stunned silence.

"A monster, a true monster," stated a middle-aged man in a low and despondent voice, his face turning grim and darker.

Just at this moment, another series of alerts started echoing in the office.

[Warning, warning, Magicule Levels have risen to 25,000,000.]

Amidst consecutive warnings, every member of the assembly turned pale, eyes fixed on the rapidly escalating magical energy levels displayed on the screen, which was nearing its critical threshold, and couldn't help but drenched in sweat.

25 million Magicule Level, they were simply having a hard time believing it.

"There really is a monster in this world with this much Magical Energy!?"

"Do we even stand a chance??"

Ignoring the panicking words of his colleagues, Emperor Maximo could only watch the live satellite feed, displaying the battle with a sense of suffocation.

"It is a miracle that the Demon Lord didn't take us seriously at first. If this monster decided to go all out, we wouldn't even stand a chance."

Just as despair seemed to settle in...

"I don't quite like being watched."

Crack!

With a crisp sound, a crystalline jade-colored energy slash froze in the frame.

And with a snap, the screens went completely blank, leaving each staff member sweating profusely in their seats.

"Did he destroy another satellite!?" a staff member muttered in a stuttering voice.

"This Demon Lord. He is at a different level."

As if confirming, many people screamed in fear, emphasizing the Demon Lord's incomprehensible power, capable of tearing through space and shooting satellites.

Only it possessed such power that its aura alone could affect an entire empire and bring fear to its masses.

Vrrr—!

Emperor Maximo's phone vibrated in his pocket. Retrieving it, he answered with a mixture of relief and resolve.

"Hello?"

[Greetings, your Majesty. This is the director from the Science Department, and I would like to announce that we managed to finish the project as you had requested.]

Hearing this, Maximo smiled as a glimmer of hope returned to his face.

"Excellent. Deploy Project Exterminata to the military immediately. We don't know if it will work, but this might be the only thing that humanity has a single fighting chance against these monsters. Understood?"

[Affirmative, your Majesty.]

——————————————————

Rumble—!

The ground shook violently, drawing the attention of countless demons who turned to face and stared at the distant source of the disturbance, many of them soon spotted two figures standing in the sky face to face with each other and were locked in an intense confrontation.

One figure bore the celestial elegance of an Angel of otherworldly appearance, while the other was the demon lord that brought terror to a whole empire.

BOOOM!

A strong gale suddenly brushed past the two.

This came as a result of the Angel and the demon releasing their aura in the heavens.

The already oppressive atmosphere became even more oppressive and heavier, painting the sky in swirling shades of red and white.

Soon, the two majestic auras clashed together.

BOOOM!

When the two immense energies collided, ferocious shockwaves rippled through the air.

The entire battlefield below trembled under the residual mana spreading from the epicenter.

BANG!

This exchange had been going on for about a few minutes now, and it had started to become progressively stronger. Both sides were still not going all out as they were gauging each other and buying time for those fighting below. Whenever the situation shifted for one side, the other would quickly interfere to return the balance.

"I have long dreamed of facing one of Heaven's elite warriors, or perhaps, a dog of my grandsire," declared Demon Lord Andromalius, his words echoing ominously across the silent world.

Tightening her grip with her blade, the Seraph Empyrean opened her mouth and spoke out, causing the entire world to tremble before her divine presence.

"The last time I faced your kind, they fell like sheep before the slaughter. Furthermore, I never expect my next opponent will be the disappointed son of the Demon King."

Upon hearing this, the entire world became eerie silent.

"It seems you desire a gruesome end, Heaven's dog," Andromalius retorted with a gaze filled with rage and bitter hatred. "For one esteemed as a warrior, your loyalty to your little Sky Daddy baffles me. A false god who never saves his own creations from our predations."

In his hand, a colossal broadsword infused with strong Demonic Energy manifested in his grasp, wielding it with lethal intent as he vanished from his place and reappeared before the Angel and swung his weapon at unprecedented speed.

For the first time in his long dark crusade, the Demon Lord decided to take this very seriously.

The large crimson sword in his hand whirled around, releasing waves of pressuring wind sounds as Demonic Energy surrounds the blade like a whirlpool of death.

WIIIIIING!

Seeing the Demon Lord's swift and ferocious attack, the Angel's lip curved upwards. Finally, she let out a cold laugh, and a ferocious aura suddenly sprang out from her body and effortlessly intercepted the blade with her own.

The impact unleashed a powerful shockwave that launched many demons and anyone. Not even Rasera and the Archdemons were immune to the blast as they were launched back.

Immediately after the attack, the Demon Lord sensed the Angel was flying towards him.

Instinctively, he tries to attack again, but suddenly, the Seraph immediately holds his blade and she is somehow unfazed by the huge amount of Demonic Energy in the blade as she continues to attack him.

Blocking the attack with his wings, the Demon Lord sends out his aura into a shockwave, pushing the Angel from him.

Moments earlier, he felt rage not too long ago, now the feeling of his muscles ache and his mind focused to win, he couldn't help but smile at this.

"Finally. A worthy opponent! Our battle will be LEGENDARY!!"
