When the Seraph Empyrean and Andromalius were fighting. The humans, who had been monitoring the battle from afar until their satellite was destroyed, noted the sheer destructive potential of these beings. So the government, in a desperate bid to protect their country from the apocalyptic fallout, made a fateful decision.
Deep within a military base somewhere in the Imperial Majahapit, a high-ranking official issued a critical order to the assembled military personnel.
"We have received the green light from the Emperor, the President, and the Prime Minister. Thus, we initiate Operation Dawn," declared General Ahmad Fadhlan Abyasa, the Imperial Governor General of the Imperial Majahapit, in a resolute voice. "Once we launch the nukes, deploy Project Extermināta."
"Even if it means facing the consequences?"
Abyasa nodded solemnly, "Yes, even if it means creating a nuclear winter."
————————————————————
Distancing themselves from the Elven Goddess, standing opposite him, disappointment flashed across Death's face as he stood alongside the other three Archdemons.
"This is getting annoying," he muttered, "You, Goddess, do you really think you could defeat four Archdemons at the same time? You're wasting your breath."
"You might be right, but I still won't let you lay a single hair on this world! Now silence and face me, or act like the cowards you all are!"
"...I am one of the special members of the Pride Clan, a Supreme Being, the apex of countless worlds! Even though you had fought us at once, we're still strong as it should be!!"
Extending his hand, black threads of Demonic Energy started to swirl around the Archdemon of Death's palm. Following this, a ferocious black ball forms, levitating above his palm. The energy contained within the ball caused Rasera, who was floating hundreds of meters away, to become wary.
Kracka! Kracka!
Black bolts of lightning crackled around the energy ball as circular waves of pressurized wind began to spread out throughout the surroundings, creating strong winds.
Within seconds, the ball which had become the size of a Truck slowly started to compress together until it was the size of a football.
Moments after Death cast his spell, the three other demons followed suit.
"Since we're losing, we might as well even the playing field once more!"
[Abyss Annihilation] (Death)
[Absolute Severance] (Conquest)
[Vermillion Nova] (War)
[Dragon Extinction] (Famine)
WIIIIIING!
But just as the four Archdemons were about to strike, Rasera suddenly appeared before them. She had not been staying still when those Demons were accumulating their energy.
It wasn't like she was just going to let them do as they pleased.
Tightly holding onto her divine sword, the glow around the blade brightened considerably. Right after, the sword's length grew dramatically.
"Uaaghh!"
Screaming at the top of her lungs, Rasera cut diagonally. From the bottom right towards the top left.
"Shit! Fall back!"
The four Archdemons were obviously displeased by this unexpected development as they glared at Rasera. Then, extending their enormous wings, a small shadow cast below.
Fwuap!
Flapping the wings once, within an instant, they appeared several kilometers away from Rasera, outside of the striking zone of the sword attack.
But it was then that something astonishing happened.
Seeing that her attack was about to miss, magical energy slowly expanded out of Rasera's body. The veins on her face became more prominent, and her muscles expanded.
A bright light shot out from her body before it directly converged with the swords in her hand. The sword once again lengthened, this time, a lot more than before. The weight of the sword also increased drastically, and the velocity of her swing followed suit.
"RAHHHHH!!"
Sensing this, Famine's eyes widened in fear, "Lord Azaroth! That little...!"
"I know!!"
This time, none of the demons were able to react in time. Staring at the incoming attack, Death had no choice but to discard their previous plans and slapped the palm containing the ball of Anti-Spiritual Energy toward the oncoming attack, and the others quickly followed suit.
Soon, the two forces met head-on.
"..."
First, there was silence, but not before long a powerful blast of energy shrouded the sky above the entire city. An instant later, it brewed into a terrifying force that caused both the demons and Rasera's expression to change drastically as they both hastily distanced themselves away from each other.
BANG!!!
Soon, the energy blast expanded rapidly, before reaching a battlefield not far from them. Instantly, thousands of demons and angels were reduced to ash, and a thunderous noise reverberated through most parts of the battlefield, drowning out every other sound.
Dust and debris flew everywhere, enveloping the whole landscape and preventing anyone from seeing the conditions of the battlefield.
Standing opposite to each other were the four Archdemons and Rasera.
Before long, the dust cleared out, and the aftermath of their collision became clear to see for the two of them. Lowering its head and staring at the damage below, Death's face darkened.
Being a member of the Pride Clan, his immense rage was understandable because of how his pride was wounded by a being nearly his equal, able to challenge him in battle. Even with the aid of his three colleagues, they had still lost.
Opening his mouth, Death's raspy and cruel voice rang through the ears of each demon present.
"This is merely the beginning!"
Expanding his wings, Death flew at unimaginable speed. But right as he was about to reach Rasera, the missiles on the military bases across the Austronesia Empire were launched through the atmosphere. The four Archdemons, focused on preparing to attack Rasera again, failed to detect the incoming threat. Rasera, however, sensed the approaching danger moments before the missiles were launched.
'These humans are seriously insane. Such an amount of those weapons could even destroy my physical body. I wouldn't die though, but Melian definitely will, and I can't resurrect her body again without problems from the Goddess of the Underworld.'
With this in mind, Rasera raised her hand and used most of her mana to cast a stream of golden chains, binding the four Archdemons.
Although she knew this would hold them for less than a minute, she had to do something.
Using [Corruption Stars] to finish them off wasn't an option either. She had already exhausted her mana and strength in the battle she tirelessly fought. Thus, she lacked the energy to unleash that spell.
Worst of all, she had little left time to escape this body or else her champion's soul would perish.
So, she decided to channel the remaining portion of her mana into her movement-boosting skill and used it to escape.
BOOM!
With a thunderous noise, Rasera leaped off the ground, which shattered apart beneath her. As soon as she launched herself, she already dashed across kilometers with each second.
However, with the little power she had left, her skill was already shut off, and she found herself in the middle of a forest.
Whoosh—!
Whoosh—!
Whoosh—!
Suddenly, she spotted dozens of fast-moving objects streaking through the sky, and she recognized them from the information given by the female General.
"So those are these humans' strongest weapons. Powerful, but ain't impressive enough by the standards of the higher powers of this world."
Rasera shook her head, knowing she didn't have time to comment further. She had to flee and get out of the blast range of those weapons.
"Stop right there!"
As Rasera stepped out of the forest, she found herself in a large open field with a human settlement not far from her. Not only that, she was stopped by a group of five Black Armored soldiers with their guns pointed at her.
'Are these the racist humans Melian allied with?'
"Identify yourself now, you freak! Or we will shoot!" one of the soldiers ordered, holding his rifle and aiming at her cautiously.
Usually, Rasera would have snapped her fingers and pulverized anyone who spoke to her like that in an instant, or rather lefr them to die here, but for some reason, she sensed something intriguing about them.
'For being hateful towards nonhumans and people in white skin, they prove to have some use.'
"I have come to speak with your General," she said.
"Get on the ground, or we will fire!" The second soldier yelled louder than the other, ignoring her words.
Rasera sighed, "I have no time for this. Move, or I'll do it myself," she said in a chilling tone.
This caused the soldiers to instinctively fire their guns at her, but to their shock, the bullets disintegrated into golden particles when they reached within an inch from her, then their guns evaporated just as suddenly.
The soldiers stared in disbelief at where their weapons had been just seconds ago. They glance up at Rasera, wondering what on Earth she was.
"Oy! You buffoons!"
Suddenly, a familiar voice echoed behind the five soldiers. They turned around to see the Major General approaching them, which caused the soldiers to salute.
"What is it, Major General!?" the soldier in the middle asked.
Slap!
The other four soldiers were startled when the Major General bitch slapped the soldier, sending him flying back a few meters away, something that is impossible for an 80-year-old man like him.
"Did you all forget this is the Alien Witch you tried to shoot!"
The soldiers' eyes widened upon hearing this.
"Don't blame us, Major General. We just died in battle before she even arrived," one soldier reasoned.
"Then leave, or you will die again."
Nodding their heads at a fast pace, the soldiers rushed back, with a few carrying the injured one by the shoulders.
Looking at the Elven Goddess, General Francisco tilted his head to his side, gesturing to her to follow him, and she did so without a word.
The two were now roaming through a random abandoned town, which is filled with thousands of Black Armor soldiers, seemingly working themselves on gathering injured men and supplies into any funcitioning vehicles they could find.
"Your mood towards me seems to have changed. Feeling progressive enough about race?" she asked.
"Don't misunderstood my actions earlier as kindness or acceptance of your race, Alien Witch. I still see you and those Americans or Europeans like that blonde you've been accompanied with as White Colonist scumbags," the Major General replied sternly, "But I'm going to admit that you resurrected my fellow men, and I would like to thank you for it."
"That wasn't technica-"
"I know," he interrupted her with a gentle tone, which slightly surprised the Goddess a bit as she usually saw him as aggressive, "The sensation I have felt from that power earlier. A connection between the holy essence I placed on myself and whatever that resurrected my men. It's hard to describe, but it felt like I'm in a place where it rid of all temptations. If felt like... home."
"So you're saying you and the Seraph Empyrean had some sort of connection?" the Elven Goddess raised an eyebrow. Though he could be making things up, she could sense his honesty, making her wonder how a human could be connected with a powerful Angel she summoned from a higher dimension, one even a Goddess like her didn't fully understand.
Now she had another reason to spare them.
"I can't tell, but this fact is enough to thicken my belief!" The Major General said, forming a grin beneath his gasmask.
"Listen, General, we don't have much time. Your leaders launched a dozen of those weapons that will destroy this whole place."
"Nuclear weapons? I'm already aware of that, but those are not the ones I've been worrying about. My men, who specialize in hacking governmental transmissions, were able to hear the orders from the three leaders," the Major General said, his expression beneath his gas mask darkening, "And they gave the greenlight for THAT weapon, Project Exterminātas."
For some reason, when the Major General mentioned Project Exterminātas, Rasera couldn't help but feel a sense of discomfort, as if the name itself was a bad omen on her, which confused her.
"You would've left us anyway, and you didn't," the Major General continued, eyeing the Elven Goddess with suspicion. "Which means you have some interest in us about something, correct?"
Knowing there was little time and no room for deception, Rasera decided to be honest.
"Yes."
Hearing this response, the Major General simply shrugged, "Fair enough. Let's get out of here then."
As they agreed to each other, Rasera cast a mass teleportation spell and a giant magic circle materialized on the floor which enveloped all of the soldiers in the city.
"What the...?"
"Whoa!"
"What is this sorcery!?"
In the next few seconds, the magic circle brightened with a brilliant light. And an instant later, the once-bustling city was now lifeless and empty.
As Rasera, the two Generals, and the rest of the Black Armored Division vanished from view, the four Archdemons in the ruined city of Marawi finally broke free from the binding spell.
"Rawrrrrr! I'll find that damn bitch and rip her heart out!!" War roared, smashing the earth with his fist in fury.
"The look on her face... she seemed more worried than facing us. What was it?" Famine wondered.
Sensing something above, Conquest's eyes widened, "I think she sensed those."
Looking at the direction where Conquest was pointing, the four Archdemons were met with a literal rain of Nuclear missiles.
Death chuckled, "That can't be goo-"
BOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!
BOOOOOMMM!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOMM!!!
The sky was illuminated by fiery explosions as the nuclear missiles detonated. The force of the blasts was unimaginable, leveling everything in their vicinity.
————————————————————
Returning to the scene of Andromalius defeating the Seraph Empyrean, he found the area before him engulfed in a massive explosion by the nuclear blast.
Wiping off the dust from his suit, Andromalius scanned around the desolate land for a moment before his eyes soon landed on what he was searching for.
Floating in the air were four small orbs that emit demonic essence.
"Defeated by mere human weapons? Why are all of you so incompetent," he sighed and shook his head in disappointment before pocketing those orbs. "You should've given me better generals, Azaroth."
Despite the apparent "death" of his four strongest demons, he still commanded millions of demons summoned from the [Eyes of Terror], powerful enough to destroy the whole world.
"My demon army! Forward! When dawn approaches, I want this entire country erased from existence!"
With a single order, thousands upon thousands of demons started moving forward to conquer more territories and devoured everything in their path.
But as the demons advanced, almost immediately flickers of light appeared in the sky as another wave of nuclear missiles were launched into the heavens from all directions and falling towards the place of the demon army, pummeling them with numerous explosions that could wipe out Tokyo off the map.
"Hahaha! Again with this? These humans never seemed to learn. We're virtually immune to such attacks, much less it only affect the lesser ones of the demon army," Andromalius laughed. At his current level, none of the nuclear bombs made him feel any slightest pain at all.
For the demon army below him, most of them seemed to be able to survive the nuclear blast. It was because unlike the legions led by his fallen subordinates, Andromalius' army were the primary force, the ones who emerged from the space rift, known as the [Eye of Terror], in the sky.
These demons were composed entirely of monsters of the Transcendent Tier 3, with the weakest of being at Transcendent Tier 2.
Therefore, this was supposed to be the force the Demon Lord had assembled to invade higher-level worlds.
Many of his demons were at the level that could rival Divine Beast, and were also Spiritual Lifeforms. Weapons of mass destruction or not, none of them could kill something at a soul level unless they wielded Soul Manipulation Magic, which the Austronesia Empire lacked.
Suddenly the barrage of nuclear bombs suddenly stopped. To the surprise of Andromalius, a fast-moving object of what seemed like their flying iron dragon that did not flap its wings, was heading straight for the army.
"Pitiful. Is that all you humans have? I expected you to send more of those flying arrows. It seems you have already exhausted your arsenal and reverted back to the old methods," he chuckled darkly, "Humans are so desperate, and I love it."
Unfortunately for Andromalius, he made a fatal mistake. By assuming that the humans would use the same weapons again and not change something into a much deadlier weapon, he underestimated their ingenuity.
"My legions. Shoot it down when it gets within range," Andromalius ordered nonchalantly, not bothering to intervene himself.
The march resumed as planned, or so he thought. Before the iron dragon could come within range, it immediately released its payload. The payload was so fast that the demons couldn't able to intercept it.
The payload arrived on the top of the army of Andromalius. Just as it was about to impact, the Demon Lord raised his hand and froze the payload midair.
"Hm?"
For a mere second, Andromalius was able to sense something unusual.
"What is this... strange feeling?" he wondered. His eyes glowed with otherworldly light as he examined the object, looking through its components and anything contained inside.
And that is where that made him widened his eyes in shock by what he had discovered.
"What? Why does this object contain the-...?"
Before he was able to utter what he wanted to say...
Ting!
With a strange sound, the bomb detonated, and Andromalius could only watch in stunned silence as the power of the weapon was unleashed upon him and his army.
And what he saw was beyond belief.
He could not believe it.
He could just not.
His entire army. The most powerful force that had ever walked the earth, a million troops capable of easily conquering worlds.
All had been erased from the face of the planet.
"How...?" He mumbled, squeezing the handle of his sword so tightly that his fingers turned ashen.
He began to feel a tingling in his shoulder, followed by a tic, a tremor that ran all over his arm. It took him a few seconds to realize that he was paralyzed with fear.
"How can simple human beings have something so devastating...?"
As he uttered these words, his vision went dark.
