Yudhisthir was standing at the highest balcony of Indrprast's royal palace gazing at his family members scattered here and there. Maids strolled with one work or the other while soldiers stood alert.
" What are you looking at?" Aanyati asked coming beside him.
" My people priye! See how everyone is busy in one work or the other" Yudhisthir smiled as Aanyati too gazed at her surroundings.
Bheem was helping Valandhra walk in the garden. He supported her as she moved with difficulty, maids around them giggled and whispered something in each other's ears. Valandhra was clearly flustered while Bheem looked unfazed.
In the garden only, Nakul walked on fours with Yojak giggling on his back. Yom sat at a distance with Vishwa and Rajeshwari. Vishwa roamed here and there showing Kamanshi her surroundings who clearly looked amazed while Rajeshwari fed Yom some liquid.
" Priye! Why is Draupadi sitting on bare grass? I hardly saw her inside nowadays, she don't dine with us as well" Yudhisthir asked clearly confused.
Aanyati had proud in her voice as she said " She is my sister Dharmraj. She knows stree dharma and it obeying to it" Yudhisthir asked to elaborate as she did " How can she have the luxuries of this palace when her husband is suffering outside without any comfort. She won't enter the palace until Arjun do Dharmraj. She won't eat the food which her husband can't eat, she will live in the similar way her husband in living "
" Truly your sister " Yudhisthir remarked as now both had more respect for Draupadi then ever before. She might have said the harshest of things that day but her heart is as soft as a petal, it can't hold grudges even for her enemies, leave her own husband.
At a distance they saw Karenumati coming to Nakul with her thal of aarti when she fainted.
" Another kid!" Aanyati said before she and Yudhisthir ran to where Karenumati fainted.
In the dark prison of Madr, Vijaya sat as still as a statue accepting the new harsh reality of her life. This is what her life from now will be, suffering in this prison with no one around.
She waited for Sahdev to show up again, she don't know why but she wanted him to console her tell her that he will get everything right, she will get justice but nothing happened, he never came.
" Open the gate" Chandrajeet's voice, Vijaya realised. Her end is near, she knew. She can't escape death now. He will kill her and end any chances of him being caught forever. But she don't want to protest, she has left the wish to live long ago. She waited for a sword to cut her throat apart as Chandrajeet came near her with a wicked smile.
" Rajkumari Vijaya or I should say thief Vijaya or dasi Vijaya" he laughed " how much you tried to escape me dear daughter but what did you get at the end. See I am standing in front of you again. " Vijaya didn't respond or give him the pleasure of thinking that she is scared of death.
" Don't worry I won't kill you this easily. I want to see that fear in your eyes before killing you"
" You will never see any fear in my eyes dusht. Do whatever you can, you will never have the satisfaction of seeing fear in my eyes " her words were firm and carried the anger boiling inside her.
Chandrajeet laughed more loudly, his whole frame shaking with laughter. "Soldiers! Bring my gift for this dasi " he shouted when a smirk climbed to his face.
Vijaya's gaze turned to the gate where two soldiers dragged an almost dead man to her prison. He had long hairs and beard covered in dirt and blood, flies sat on his body like he is a peace of dirt, there were only bruises on his body oozing blood, he was weak, his bones sticking to his skin. It was clear that Chandrajeet had tortured him for years.
" Don't you recognise him dear daughter?" Chandrajeet asked " Let me introduce you to him. Meet my eldest brother's one and only son, Chaya putr Raj Kumar Vijay" he laughed again. But Vijaya refused to believe, this can't be her brother.
" You don't trust me? Let me give you the proof." He kicked that man resulting in him fall on the ground with a little cry. Then he dragged him by his hairs toward Vijaya showing her the burnt mark on his left shoulder. " This same mark helped me recognise you too"
Vijaya was beyond shocked. Tears brimming in her eyes. " Bhrata!" She cried trying to go near him.
" No no no dear daughter" Chandrajeet placed a dagger on Vijay's neck. " I have kept him alive till now for this situation only. If you ever showed up then what would have I done? He will remain alive, I assure you, until you don't use your little mind again me. Right dear daughter" he threw Vijay behind him " take him to his cave"
" Kaka shri please! Please leave him kaka shri. We both will leave Madr, we will never come here again. You can rule here happily. Just let us leave " Vijaya fell on his feet crying profusely.
Chandrajeet just laughed more loudly "this was the fear I wanted to see in your eyes. Now you both will stay here until I get bored of you and kill you eventually. Till then enjoy" he left the cell as Vijaya screamed in agony.
" Hey bhagwan! What wrong have I done to you to deserve all this. Please save my brother, give him the strength to survive bhagwan" she cried, tears rolling down her pink cheeks. Now she wanted to live, for her brother, to avenge him for the pain he suffered.
Here in Indrprast, Nakul was dancing around like a kid, his face shining with happiness. He made others dance with himself as well.
Right now he was holding Yudhisthir's hands and making him dance as everyone sat in his chamber.
Karenumati sat on her bed with a shy smile. Her gaze low as Aanyati cut fruits for her.
" Don't you think he is over joyed?" Bheem whispered to Vishwa.
" Overjoyed? He is on the moon. God knows what he will do when his child will come in this world " Vishwa scoffed cradling Kamanshi.
" Jiji!" Valandhra who was sitting near Aanyati and Karenumati called her while holding her belly" jiji! ..."
Everyone stopped in their actions on her voice.
" Moti! Call the doctors, Karenu come out, maids prepare this chamber, all the males out, Right now!" Aanyati shouted as everyone followed.
On Aanyati's order, Karenumati too left the chamber.
" Nakul! Come out " Vishwa looked at him confused" aren't you male?" He asked earning a glare from Rajeshwari.
" He is the main doctor arya " Rajeshwari said dragging Vishwa out. Soon Valandhra was lying on the bed with doctors surrounding her, Aanyati, Draupadi and Moti stayed inside along with Nakul.
" Jiji!" Draupadi gestured toward Bheem who was standing still at a corner looking unblinking at Valandhra who was at present screaming in pain.
" Bheem" Aanyati called as he stirred to reality. Without paying attention to anything, he went to Valandhra and sat near her, holding her hand firmly.
" I am with you priye! Everything will be alright" he whispered to Valandhra who was sweating profusely. Nakul tried to say something to Bheem but Aanyati stopped him.
" Let him be here" she said as everyone paid their attention to Valandhra encouraging her to push a little.
Till now the whole bed was covered in blood and Valandhra's screams echoed throughout the chamber " ...I...I... can't...Jiji..I.c... can't" she said in a trembling voice as tears rolled down her beautiful eyes.
" Everything is going to be alright dear. Just push a little Valandhra" Aanyati wiped the sweat out of her face.
It continued for almost four hours, the child was too stubborn to come out. Valandhra was about to loose conscious but Nakul didn't let her to. Bheem almost shouted on Nakul when he twisted Valandhra's arms to keep her awake.
He sat beside her all the time, holding her hand, providing silent support, his eyes never leaving her face although his body too was sweating and Aanyati feared more for Bheem then Valandhra at a moment.
When the child finally came out, he didn't cry. Yes! It was a boy, his face paler than the moon, eyes shut with big beautiful eye lashes, perfectly pinned nose and petal like lips. He looked so beautiful that everyone gasped at once.
" Bhabhi shri! Why isn't he crying?" Bheem asked as fear rose to his head. Nakul took the kid from female doctor, checking his heart beat. The look on his face was enough for others to know what happened but Nakul did not loose hope.
He blew air into that kid's mouth by himself, rubbing his milky white chest occasionally. Everyone stood around him in hope, praying to God for a miracle to happen. The evening was long gone and now moon provided faint light in the chamber.
Bheem who was sitting at a distance till now watching everything silently stood straight suddenly, he picked the child up in his arms and strolled near the balcony gazing at the moon with tears in his eyes.
" Hey Chandra Dev! What wrong have me and wife done to recieve this punishment?" His voice was hoarse as if controlling his tears . Everyone who stood behind him hardly tried to control their tears, Valandhra was still unconscious unaware of what destiny has choose for her. Even the doctors were crying" My wife always prayed to you for our well being, I saw her sitting for hours in the balcony gazing at you, silently praying to you and what have you given us? This? " The moon got covered behind dark clouds as if telling his wish. Bheem broke down to the ground with the child still in his hands. " He narayan!, why?"
Aanyati went near him, her own heart twisting in pain. How will she face Valandhra after this? That poor girl will shatter down completely.
Bheem cried clutching the child close to his heart. Then as if Chandr Dev listened to his plea, the child moved in his arms. Everyone again become still, their eyes fixed on the still born child.
As the clouds moved revealing a fully shining moon, the child started crying, his hands clutched Bheem's agnavastra as his cries spread throughout the atmosphere. He held Bheem's agnavastra with so much force that it almost tore away.
" Bhabhi shri! My son" Bheem again cried but this time the tears were of happiness. Aanyati wrapped the child in a silk cloth protecting him from cold. Nakul in the mean time checked on Valandhra. She has lost immense blood, her face look no less pale than her son's.
" She will be alright but weakness will remain for some days" Nakul said as everyone came out of the chamber with the kid.
" Jyest!" Bheem placed the kid in Yudhisthir's arms whose face got adorned with a smile. Another prince!
" Bheem! What name have you decided for your son?" Vishwa asked. The kids Yom, Yojak and Kamanshi who were in elders arms, giggled with happiness finding a new member of their group.
" Look at his face jyest! Pale or I should say paler than the moon, eyes big and expressive like his mother's, strength like mine . We have recieved him with Chandr Dev's blessings, his mother used to pray to him everyday. My son, the descendant of Chandrvanshi clan, the great grand son of maha mahim Bhism, he will be known in future as Sutsom " everyone smiled listening to the name.
" Hail Raj Kumar Sutsom!" The maids and Soldiers cheared.
" Bhrata Yuyutsu! Yom and Yojak are about to complete one year of their life, we have a beautiful daughter in our family and now another prince. Announce for the world's largest feast, invite every kingdom forgetting every grudges. Whole Indrprast should be decorated like it's heaven, feed the Brahmins, no one should return hungry or empty handed " Yudhisthir announced pleasing everyone.
" I wish Sahdev returns soon. " Nakul whispered near his wife's ears.
" He will " Karenumati held his hands smiling, her one hand on her belly.....
Welcome another prince!
