As the three entered the main of the hut Kaden looked around observing his new surroundings. "Welcome to our humble abode. It might be a bit small for the three of us but if you end up as a permanent member of our family we can always expand." She said with a sweet smile on her face. "Thank you," Kaden said, his voice low and husky His eyes, usually guarded and distant, softened as he looked at Karee. "For your kindness. I'm deeply grateful." As the conversation flowed, Karee noticed a flicker of hunger in Kaden's eyes. "Are you hungry? It's past breakfast time after all." she asked gently. "I dont want to trouble you, i can always hunt later." Kaden said his voice polite. "Nonsense, if your hungry i will make something real quick." Karee said, walking to some of the baskets full of fruits, picking up the entire basket. "I'll cut up some fruit for breakfast. She approached the wooden table, her hands deftly picking through the baskets full of fresh fruits and vegetables. With a bone knife Rontu had given her, she sliced juicy pears and sweet apples, arranging them on two wooden platter with some berries. "Here you go gentlemen, " Karee said, setting the platters infront of the males and sitting net to Rontu."Help yourselves." Kaden and Rontu eagerly dug into the fruit, savoring its sweetness and freshness. As they ate, Karee noticed that Kaden's initial nervousness seemed to melt away. A twinkle of amusement came into his eyes as he observed his companions. "So, Rontu," Kaden said, a hint of mischief in his voice. "How is life with such a sweet and caring mate?" Rontu chuckled, his eyes filled with love for Karee. "It is a blessing beyond measure. She brings light into my life every day." Kaden raised an eyebrow. "I see. And what of you, Karee? Are you content with your mate?" Karee's face flushed slightly, but she met Kayden's gaze with a steady confidence. "Of course, I am very happy with Rontu. He is a wonderful mate, and I love him dearly." "You truly are a remarkable woman, Karee," he said, his voice low and sincere. "I am honored to have the chance to be around you." Karee felt a strange flutter in her heart as Kaden's words washed over her. She had never considered herself remarkable, but there was something in his voice that made her believe him. As they continued to chat and savor the breakfast, an unspoken bond began to form between them. Kaden's mischievous nature brought laughter to the hut, while his hidden kindness melted away the barriers that initially separated them. Rontu, ever observant, watched with as his mate and their guest forged an connection. "I'm sorry we only had fruit here, we don't have a fire pit here to cook and I'd rather meat not spoil and stink up the place. Karee said apologetically. If you'd like we can go to the river and catch some fish for lunch?" She said looking back and forth between the two males. "I'm down for fish," Rontu said before turning to look at Kaden,"I can show you how to use the net Karee taught me how to make, it makes catching fish alot easier." Kaden tried to conceal the confusion he was feeling, he hadn't heard of cooking or what ever a net was. He assumed a net would be something Karees tribe must have made like a basket. "Of course, if it makes it easier to get more food I'd love to lurn." He said voice calm. "Then it's settled. I'm going to go put on something a bit better for fishing then we can head out." Karee said as she quickly skipped to the next room to change clothes. Once she was out of ear shot Kaden looked to Rontu and spoke, "What is cooking, I haven't heard of that before?" He said causing Rontu to nod his head in understanding beforehe begant speak. "I didn't know what it was originally but she told me about it. It's where you take meat and place it over a fire until it is 'cooked' as she calls it. You also add herbs to make it taste better." Kadens eyes widened in shock "You let her near fire, don't you know how dangerous that is?!?" He said in a whisper like yell, concern written on his face. "I didn't like the idea of it originally either but where Karee comes from fire is an essential part of life so they learn how to use it safely from a young age. She has taught me how to use it safely so I can handle it instead of her to give me peace of mind but we must use it, if she eats uncooked meat or bad water she could get sick and die." This only caused Kadens eyes to widene even more. "Oh beastgod, I'll make sure she never eats any uncooked meat then." As the two males finished their conversation Karee reentered the room wearing a pair of shorts she had told Rontu how to make along with a tube top he had made for her. She beamed a bright smile at the males and claped her hands before she spoke, "Now let's go catch some fish shall we."
