In a blood filled battlefield, there was an obvious winner who was smirking at those who were near her feet. She, as the commander in chief of Dwaraka, had successfully won this war, yet again, perpetrated by the Magadha king, Jarasandha. He sent his men to capture the ocean city of Dwaraka, yet again, for the 17th time, only to lose again.

"P- Please, leave us! Spare our lives!", the Soldiers said. She just shook her head in dismissal and said, "Tch. Tch. Not convincing enough", and slayed all of them with an axe, while her brother was fighting Hansh, for eighteen days. She didn't let Dimbhaka go even near him, and for the last 18 days, Dimbhaka was constantly losing to this one hell of a girl, who was showing him hell while he was still alive.

"Princess Vaishnavi-", he shouted, only to get cut off rudely by her, "It's Senapati Ishwari for you, Asshole!". He growled and marched forward to attack her, but successfully got beaten up to death, by her. He fell down again near her legs, and she kept her sword near his neck, making him shreik, "Tell your king Jarasandha, that he would never be able to capture Dwaraka, ever! The Senapati of Dwarka is standing between you and her city!", she growled at him. Every other soldier started cheering for her, as she defeated the army of Jarasandha, without any casualty on her side.

"Dimbhakaa!!!", a loud scream was heard, making Vaishnavi smile as it indicated only one thing, her brother's victory over Hansh. Dimbhaka was disheartened as soon as he heard his partner's voice of death. He looked up at the girl of death and said, "I don't have to say anything to my king! My death itself will speak!", and ran away from the battlefield. Then he jumped into the holy river of Yamuna, ending his life.

Hoots, claps and whistles could be heard all over the city, as the duo of King and Senapati, a brother and sister, won the war. They were honoured as soon as they entered the palace by Devaki, who looked at them full of pride on her face.

Satyabhama came forward and hugged her best friend, "And? Ms. Commander in chief? Kicked their asses?", while they both were going inside her chamber. Vaishnavi shook her head and said, "Absolutely Thrashed them!", making the Krishna Priya to chuckle and they both high fived. Rukmini came into the scene and hugged her as well, "Vaishu! Missed you so much! The kids were continuously asking for you! It was very hard to manage them without you!".

Satyabhama chuckled and said, "Didi! We have to get used to it. What if she marries and goes to her in-laws? Then the only thing we could do is miss her!". Instantly, the smile on her face vanished, and she rushed to her chamber with the excuse of changing. Rukmini looked at her worriedly and decided to have a talk with her.

As vaishnavi was taking off her armour, her chain got stuck to the Armor, making her take it into her hand and look at it. Memories of her husband flashed, and she closed her eyes unable to do anything. Rukmini wiped her tears away, making her open her eyes and look at her. Rukmini nodded her head and pulled her into a hug, which she reciprocated almost immediately.

Rukmini caressed her head while saying, "12 years! Vaishnavi! It's been 12 years since he left! And you sti-", but Vaishnavi cut her off, "Not 12 years, Bhabhi! 11 years, 11 months, 25 days, 3 hours and 22 minutes since he left! And I'm not crying because I miss him! These are happy tears as I will be meeting him very soon!", she said breaking her hug. Rukmini held her cheek and admired her love for Arjun.

Rukmini continued, "But he did what you hated the most, dear! Not once but twice! He married the Naga Princess and the Manipura princess! Both for political reasons only, but, nonetheless Vaishu!". She smiled sadly and said, "Of course, I freed him from the Promise!". Rukmini didn't know what to say to her, so she just caressed her head. "Bhabhi! I want to be alone for sometime!", she asked which Rukmini respected and smiled.

Rukmini left her alone, as she was all alone by herself, limiting her talks with anyone and was just strategising war, spending her time in warfare and just thinking about the well being of Dwaraka. She successfully stopped many attempts by Jarasandha to invade Dwaraka, through her valiant leadership and strategies. In between these years, she did go to Indraprasth to take care of her pregnant sister at times.

Suthanu, the daughter of Yudisthir and Draupadi, became so attached to her, that it was impossible for her to leave Indraprasth. The sons of Pandavas would also never leave their choti maa's side, not even once. Looking at them, she never felt sad about the fact that she couldn't bear a child, as she is a mother to many children, her children.

She held her chain and said, "Arjun! Where are you? How are you?". Soon after, she heard a faint voice saying, "It's a surprise!", very slowly. It felt like a nectar to her ears, as it's been a long time since she heard his voice. The last time she heard it was him asking permission from her for his political marriage with Chitrangada.

Arjun, who was meditating in a Shiva temple, slowly opened his eyes, as he sensed that his earring, which was on his hair, was saying something. He took it in his hands and kept it near his heart, and heard his most favourite thing in the world. Her voice. His heart skipped a beat as she didn't try and spoke with him ever since his third marriage, and he was guilty as well. He heard her asking him, "Arjun! Where are you? How are you?". He chuckled and whispered into that earring, It's a surprise!", and Chuckled, which tickled her ears. She smiled to herself and proceeded to take off the armour and started to heal her wounds away.

As she completely changed into a different attire, a very feminine white lehanga completely contradicted her earlier Avatar, a pair of tiny hands held her skirt and slowly started to pull, making her look down. There, she saw her 6 year old nephew, Bhanu, asking for her to lift her up. "Aww!", she lifted him up, adoring his cuteness. "Bhanuu! Did you miss me? Huh?", she asked cooing. "I missed you more!", a voice came adamantly. She looked behind her and saw her 10 year old nephew, Samba standing there with his hands on his hips, glaring at her.

"Bua ji! Bua ji! Look here! Charu is taking my earpiece!", 7 year old Vatsala, Daughter of Balram Dau, was complaining about a 3 year old Charumati, Daughter of Krishna. Soon, her room was filled with the children's laughter, crying, and screaming. She sighed and said, "Guys! I won't sing a song for you guys, if you just keep screaming like this!", while trying to handle them. At once, all of them stopped at one place and obediently sat together.

***

A loud thud was heard from the practice arena of Dwaraka, as Balram was teaching his student, who soon became one of his favourites, Duryodhan about mace fighting. Duryodhan made 10 of the very strong soldiers fall back because of his mace skills, at one blow. His practice for the last 12 years with Balram had finally gotten into fruition, or Balram thought so.

Victorious, Duryodhan stood up with pride clearly written on his face, as he won the fight. "Now, no one can rival me in this entire world! Hahaha!", he laughed, making his brothers laugh. Balram looked at him and smirked at his foolishness. "No, dear Duryodhan! You can't fight me though!". Dushasan intervened, "Now that you have taught my brother how to mace fight, he surely can win anyone at this point!", which made Balram's blood boil in anger.

He took his mace up and went near duryodhan and challenged him, but before he could answer, The Kaurava prince was flying in the air. Krishna, while eating sweet corn, was watching all this, enjoying. "Ouch!", Duryodhan held his jaw in pain and turned around to look at his teacher, who lifted his mace again.

Duryodhan was quick enough to fall on his teacher's foot, crying, making Balram get shocked. Krishna frowned at this sudden behaviour change and stifled his laughter. "Gurudev! You just killed a demon! I'm nothing in front of you! I accepted my defeat!", which made Balram laugh out loud. Balram held Duryodhan's shoulder and made him get up on his feet, and patted his shoulders, "I'm proud of you, my student! Accepting a defeat is a major decision to make! Only someone with a strong heart could do this! And today, you won all my tests, dear Duryodhan! Tell me! What do you want? Ask me anything!".

Duryodhan smiled and asked, "If that is the case, I would like to ask for your sister's hand in marriage", making Balram smile even more, as it sounded like a really good idea. "So it be! Call your parents here and within a week, you will get married to my sister!", and blessed him. Duryodhan joined his hands towards him and looked at Krishna smirking. Krishna was looking at him smilingly, while he joined his hands to him as well. Krishna replicated his actions and smirked as well. Duryodhan stopped smirking as he sensed that something was up Krishna's sleeve, but shrugged the thought off and went outside the practice arena.

Krishna smiled and spoke to himself, "Hmm! Now this is getting interesting!".

"Twinkle Twinkle Little Star! How I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high! Like a Diamond in the sky!", Vaishnavi finished singing, near the sea shore. The children were scratching their ears with their tiny little finger, as the children were not at all pleased with her song. Samba said, "Oh come on, Bua! This has become boring! Sing something like, uh, haa! You sing while being with elders na! Those songs! Come on dude!", to which she rolled her eyes and twisted his ears, making him scream out in pain, "Talk your age, Samba! Okay Bachuuuu!", she screamed the last part in his ears.

"What bua? You are bullying those kids again, just because you got a chance, huh?", a very handsome man approached her, while playing with a peacock feather. Ladies there stopped doing whatever they were doing, just to check him out. But, they went back to work, as they saw the glares coming from his 6 months pregnant wife. "Oh! Pradyumna! You got my musical troop here? Thank you! These devil kids were eating my brains out!". Rukmavati, his wife, fell upon Vaishnavi's feet to get her blessings. Vaishnavi immediately made her get up and said, "Rukma! You are pregnant! It's okay beta!".

'B- Beta? Did i just utter beta? Damn! I feel old asf!'

She cleared off her thoughts and turned towards her nephew, Pradyumna, "So, what was the reason you brought these guys here?". Pradyumna smiled and said, "I got a sudden interest in music! Your music! So, I have a request! Can you teach me your song? That song you always sing to yourself?". She smiled faintly and asked him, "That song?", and immediately went back in memories of her teaching this to her husband, after the Kalyavan incident.

"Ga Gari ga gari gari ga magari", he sang after her, "Ga Gari ga gari gari ga magari", and raised his eyebrows, as if asking her if he was singing right. Meanwhile, she was just lost in his beautiful voice. Her voice is nothing compared to his. He could easily rival many of Kaliyug's singers and will unanimously win as well.

He snapped his fingers in front of her and asked, "Oi! I'm asking you! Is it okay?". Snapping out of her thoughts, she said, "Don't oi me! And yeah, you were awesome! We will definitely sing this song together! Atleast once!", she said dreamily, while making him blush at her words. She shrugged off her thoughts and said, "Okay, Now! continue!".

"Bua? Bua? Where are you lost?", Pradyumna's voice brought her back to reality and she looked at him and smiled, "Sure! I'll teach!". He was beyond happy and she was too, as he was probably the only one who managed to catch this song from her. They sat in front of each other and she started singing.

Ge Ge Re, Ge Ge Re, Ge Re Ge Me Ge Re Re Re Sa, Re Re Sa, Ni Sa Ni

Pradyumna just followed whatever she was singing, while she asked the musicians to start with their music in the background. In the nearby Shiva temple, everyone got mesmerized in the tune of this song and the voice as well.

Ghunji Si Hai Sari Fiza Jaise Bajti Ho Shehnaiyaan Leherati Hai Mehki Hawa Gungunati Hain Tanhaiyaan Sab Gaate Hain Sab Hi Madhosh Hain Hum Tum Kyun Khamosh Hain

Arjun immediately opened his eyes to this song and started smiling widely. The same song, which she taught him, which she asked him to sing along with her. He came out of the temple and went in search of the voice.

Saaz - E- Dil Chedo Na Chup Ho Kyun Gaavon Na Aao Na.. Ao Na... Aao Na... Aao Na.

She closed her eyes at the line, remembering her husband. By now, everyone started to listen to her song intently, even the kids, and Pradyumna forgot the reason for his arrival there. She slowly walked towards the nearby trees, as they reminded her of their first kiss, and caressed them while singing.

Tan Man Mein Kyun Aise Behti Huyi Thandi Si Ik Aag Hai Saason Mein Hai Kaisi Yeh Ragini Dhadkan Mein Kya Raag Hai

Arjun spotted a group of people and immediately ran over there. He noticed that all these people were in a trance, and were closing their eyes at the song. His eyes were only searching for that sight, which he earned to see every single day.

Yeh Hua Kya Humein Hum Ko Samjhaoo Na...(x2) Sab Gaate Hain ...Khamosh Hain

He immediately got a strong smell of Petrichor and just followed the smell into the woods. She kept her hands on her hips and sang this part, as if asking the tree for an answer. While doing so, her white dupatta flew from her and fell on Arjun's face. Without caring for it, she continued to sing extending her hands while looking up.

Dil Mein Jo Baatein Hai Hoton Pe Laoo Na Aao Na... Aao Na...

He removed the dupatta from his face in a hurry, and his heart skipped a beat at the sight. His love, his first love, whom he hadn't seen in years, is standing right in front of him. Singing for him. No apsara would even stand in front of the ethereal beauty he was adoring now. And that beauty was his wife. She immediately looked around in search of someone specific, as she sensed a strong smell of Petrichor too. He hid behind a tree and thought of giving her a surprise. So, he started to sing, remembering each and every line she had taught him.

Ab Koi Duri Na Uljan Koi Bas Ek Ikrar Hai Ab Na Kahin Hum Na Tum Hd Kahin Bas Pyaar Hi Pyaar Hai

As soon as she heard the voice, tears welled up her eyes and she kept her hand near her mouth. She was running around in search of him, while he was playing with the dupatta circling it. She stopped running as the smell of Petrichor became even stronger. She kept her hand near her heart and slowly started walking with closed eyes, going wherever the smell was taking her to, while he was just walking alongside her. He took the dupatta and wrapped it around her waist from behind, making her gasp a little.

Sun Sako Dhadkane Itne Paas Aao Na...(x2) Sab Gaatein ...Khamosh Hain

With each line, he pulled her closer towards him, so that she could hear his heartbeat. He slowly backhugged her, while she couldn't even open her eyes to see her husband, after 12 long years.

Ab Mere Sapno Pe Tum Hi Tum Chahoo Na Aao Na... Aao Na... Aao Na....

He slowly turned her around and lifted her chin up, while she opened her eyes. The first thing she saw was his eyes, oh! How she missed them. Tears found their way automatically in their eyes. They wasted no time and hugged each other tightly, without giving space for even air to go through them.

After a long hug, she broke the hug and held his cheeks and asked, "You still remember this song?", to which he nodded in yes with tears. "How can I forget? Your voice is the only thing that has been in my mind for the past 12 years!", he said.

He held her cheeks and said, "You don't know how much I missed you, love! I came here just to ask your hand in marriage soon after this exile! After this ends, we will be officially married!", and lifted her up in the air, as she just extended her arms, as if she was flying.

"Bua! Bua! Where are you?", the voice of Pradyumna was so loud, as if he was somewhere near to them. She immediately gave Arjun a quick kiss on his cheeks and ran away, leaving him a blushing mess as he just kept his hands on his cheeks.

She came towards the shore again and apologized to all of them, "Sorry guys! I went into my feels! That's why-", but pradyumna cut her off, saying, "That's not the thing, Bua! Did you hear the news? It's just too absurd! I don't even know why Tatshree even agreed to do something like this!". Vaishnavi frowned and asked him, "What news, Pradyumn?". He sighed frustratingly and shook his head.

"He arranged marriage of Bua Subhadra with that Prince Duryodhan!".
