With knitted eyebrows and inauspicious thoughts brewing in your head, you pressed play on the interview. Seeing all the firetrucks, worried students and staff, and hurried firefighters rushing inside the building that you almost lost your life to; seeing the scene of the fire from an outsider's perspective definitely felt weird.
You skimmed through parts of the video to speed up the process. As you were doing so, it came to your attention that your name was mentioned many times. Looks like you were an important topic regarding this incident. In fact, the main headline was how a student was trapped inside a fire. And from the interviews you saw with the students, they were making you out to be some sort of 'hero'.
Admittedly, a small part of you felt pleased that your efforts were recognised. However, your discomfort on how much emphasis and exaggeration they placed on you was far more prevalent. Well, it was the news after all. They needed to garner audience engagement somehow.
You Immediately stopped skimming through the video when you saw Hayami's face. With knitted eyebrows and a pensive expression, you tentatively listened.
"I tried to save her, I really did!" Her emotional expression did not line in character with her usual aloof and nonchalant behaviour during school.
"(L/n)-san pulled me away from the fire and she told me to run. But, I couldn't bring myself to leave her so I waited by the door, but she ended up tripping. I wanted to run back and help her, but she kept yelling at me to get out of there, to not let her efforts go in vain. So, I ran to safety. I didn't think that she would be trapped in the fire. I still feel a lot of guilt. I should've stayed behind even if it meant going against her words. I'm just glad that she was able to make it out."
Her orange eyes looked straight at the camera.
"(L/n)-san, thank you. And I hope you recover as soon as possible."
Those were her final words in the interview. The video continued to cover other parts of the incident, other parts that went one ear out the other as you were so focused on Hayami's words. You switched off the phone and a tense silence suffocated the room.
"I want to break her neck."
Yeah, that about summed it up in the simplest way possible.
A frustrated sigh seeped past your lips. Your self restraint in stopping yourself from storming out of this hospital, breaking into the closest news station to vociferate refutes to Hayami's words was precarious. If she was going to get away with an attempted murder by simply lying to a camera, you were seriously going to put a pause of saving lives and endanger one yourself. You weren't a male lead, so that wasn't against the rules right? Heck, her acting wasn't even that good. You've dealt with Kashi and Shichirou enough times to know that.
"You look like you need to rant," Seiji said, interrupting your furious storm of thoughts. "Wanna take it out on me? Not to brag, but I'm a pretty good listener."
Though his tone held a lighthearted and playful note, there was a comforting sense of gentleness to it. Just hearing someone genuinely worrying over you without having to stress about their ulterior motives helped quell your anger a little. You sighed and showed a tired, but appreciative, smile.
"I'll take you up on that offer. You don't need to believe me, just—I need to get this out of my system."
And so, you began explaining everything starting from when the fire first broke out. You mentioned how Hayami was the first one that had the opportunity to run to safety, how she was the one who started it in the first place, and most importantly, how she was the one to push you into the fire and closed the door on you.
Then it slowly went downhill into a complete rant about how frustrated you were at the whole ordeal. You weren't making any new points or giving any new information, you were just trying to get everything out of your system. Seiji listened patiently the whole time, not interrupting you or sliding in unnecessary comments.
"There's no way she can get away with attempted murder, right? I go to a rich ass school, there has to be a security camera that caught onto that."
Seiji pondered your words for a moment. "It's kind of hard to say."
You furrowed your eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"You've recently moved here, right? So, I guess you don't know. Hayami-san is from a very rich family. They own hospitals. In fact, you're in one of them right now."
You were silent for a moment. "Be right back, jumping out of a window. How do I refund this cast and the treatment they gave me?"
Seiji stifled a chuckle. "For someone that's mad, you can still crack jokes," he said "But, back to what I was saying. She's from a pretty powerful family. I doubt they will allow their daughter to get arrested. So, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled strings to keep her innocence."
At his words, you despondently sunk into your bed. Seriously? Was that it? So, you were just supposed to accept your situation?
"Sorry, that was insensitive of me, huh?"
You shook your head. "No, no. It's good that you told me about that. I might've done something reckless." You sighed, biting back another groan of frustration. "Sorry for spoiling the mood, I'm just seriously not feeling great right now. But, thanks for listening and believing me."
"Of course I'll believe you. Why would I choose the story from some girl on television over you? I can't even begin to imagine how frustrated you must feel. Not sure if this will be any help but..." The male took out his bag and gently settled it on your bed. "Want a distraction?"
You sat up from your bed and gave him a confused look. "Distraction?"
The male nodded, a spectacle of excitement twinkling in his dark blue eyes. "Do you happen to read manga?"
Manga? You've seen it often in convenience stores, but you haven't read any of it. "Not really, but I'm open to it."
An eager smile on his face, he turned his bag upside down and dumped a bunch of books on your bed. You stared at it in awe.
Seiji seemed to be unfazed by the abundance. "Well, if you don't end up liking them, I also brought a few regular books."
"Let me guess, this is like 2% of your collection?"
Seiji laughed. "I wish I had enough money to buy all of these. A lot of them are borrowed, but I do own a few at home."
"So, where should I start?"
"Well, what are you into?"
Uh. Good question. "You know what? Just pass one of your favourites."
"Sure! I typically like a lot of thriller and mystery. I'll give you a short read to start off."
Thriller and mystery? Sounds like your life right now.
Seiji happily passed the manga to you. Since one of your arms was out of order, you settled it on your lap and began reading. The two of you read in a comfortable silence. Every now and then, you'd peek to take a look at Seiji. Leaning closer to the book in interest, small gasps parting his lips out of surprise, furrowed eyebrows, light chuckles; you noticed that he could be very expressive.
The male looked up from his book. "Enjoying yourself?"
Oh my god, you weren't sure if he was asking if you were enjoying the manga or was making a witty comment on how he caught you looking at him.
"I like the main character, he stands out a lot from the rest of the cast."
"Right? Usually the main character gets outshone by the side characters."
Phew, he was talking about the manga. "Yup, the cigarette gives his design a nice touch."
"Yeah! I thought that the recurring motif of the cigarette smoke representing his lingering attachment to his past was a smart detail."
You blinked. "...I just thought he looked cool with it."
Time flew by and before you knew it, it was dark outside. A small yawn escaped your lips and you allowed your eyes a moment to rest from the pages. As you did so, your eyes happened to glance over a manga with an interesting title.
"Hey, what's this one about?"
"This one? Oh, it's an isekai. You know, your typical reincarnation stuff."
You raised your eyebrows out of intrigue. "Reincarnation?"
"They can be a hit or miss. I brought a few bad ones for laughs, wanna read them?"
"Sure, why not?"
You and Seiji began reading it out loud to each other. Just to spice things up, the two of you voice acted as the characters. Though, to not strain your throat, Seiji would take on the roles of basically 99% of the cast. And to make things fun, the male lead was voice acted by you and the heroine was done by him. Needless to say, a lot of laughs were shared by how unnecessarily dramatic the readings were.
"Why does like—every single guy she encounters falls in love with her immediately? And how the hell does she not know that the reason why the plot is going off track is because of her?" you asked. "The misunderstandings and cheesy lines are killing me too."
"But, you gotta admit. It's super funny."
"You have a point." You looked over to him and a playful smile danced on your lips as you prepared your best male voice. "You've changed me. You've helped me become a better person––even though I've already killed several hundreds of people and you only bothered to step in when I was going to kill this other hot dude––you're not like anyone I have ever met. It's like you're not even from this world."
Immediately catching onto what you were doing as well as laughing at the additional lines you added, Seiji played along with his best feminine voice, which was hilariously way too high pitched and came with an abundance of voice cracks.
"Oh, darling––for a supposedly genius evil lord, you're pretty dense to not realise the hundreds of slip ups I made that clearly indicated I reincarnated into this world––there is something I need to tell you. I need to tell you––"
"What? What is it, my love? I'm totally going to keep interrupting you because we need to add suspense in somehow."
"I...I'm...I'm sorry! It's just so hard to say!" Seiji sighed dramatically and placed a hand on his cheek, his head tilted to the side and his gaze looked straight into your eyes. "Will you still love me even if I tell the truth?"
Wait, what happened to the high-pitched voice in the last sentence?
Caught off guard at first, a glimmer of mischief then crossed your expression and you leaned in closer to the male's face.
"Of course, we've been through so much, after all. Nothing will ever separate us––"
"(Y/n)! It's time for you to finally be discharged!"
Your mother suddenly bursted into the room. Causing you and Seiji to both flinch in surprise. She paused when she saw how close the two of you were. There was a short moment of silence. Before your mother could say anything, you spoke up first.
"Mum, this isn't what it looks like."
===
Exhaustion weighing down your body, you leaned against the window of the car and idly gazed outside. Street lights and houses rushing in a blur, brief wisps of wind that sneaked through slightly the unopened window enveloping your skin, silver splashes of moonlight illuminating parts of the streets; the car ride home from the hospital was peaceful. Eyelids growing heavy and drowsiness coaxing you to sleep, you closed your eyes.
"Darling, I'm telling you, our daughter has gotten a boyfriend while we were gone!" your mother gushed. "Aw, it reminds me of my younger days where I would hide the fact that I was dating to my parents. I was pretty good at it."
Your eyes shot open and you groaned. "Mum, please."
Your mother glanced over her shoulder. "Oh, right! Since I know about it now, it totally ruins the thrill!" She winked. "Don't worry, I'll pretend for your sake."
"Honey, stop bothering our daughter. She's had a long day." Your father sighed and you smiled at his words. "We can ask her about her boyfriend tomorrow."
You frowned. "I'm being serious here, today is literally the second time we've met."
"Really now? But, the two of you seem so close!"
"We get along well."
"You two looked like you were flirting!"
"We were joking."
"Okay, okay fine. You guys aren't dating." You sighed in relief and your mother grinned. "But, it doesn't change the fact that you two look absolutely adorable together. He even wrote a sweet message on your cast!"
You looked down to your cast. In a black sharpie, written on it was 'Get well soon!' with a small doodle of a bouquet of flowers. Unbeknownst to you, a small smile graced your lips at the sight and your mother laughed to herself under her breath.
"Your father and I are planning to be off work for the next few days! Want to go anywhere?"
You looked at her in surprise. "Are you sure? I don't want to bother your work."
"Nonsense! What kind of parents are we if we don't take time off for our own child? Right, honey?"
"We've already stabilised the company's workflow. A few days off won't hinder our success. From now on, we will be present at home far more often," your father responded. "Thank you for being patient with us."
"There he goes again, speaking to his family as if this were a business meeting." Your mother laughed. "We've been working hard to make sure that we can stay in one place. I feel bad about making you transfer schools all the time. It must've been hard to make friends, right?"
"Yeah..." Well, you couldn't really respond properly since it wasn't you, but the previous (Y/n), who experienced all those transfers.
"Anyways, you must be tired. When we get home, rest for a bit. I'll fix you up a delicious dinner and call you down when it's ready! Sounds good?"
"I'll also make something for your throat," your father added in.
You smiled. "Sounds good." You glanced out the window and noticed two familiar individuals in the distance; Shin and his mother. It looked like they had just gotten out of their car. "Can I get dropped off here? I can walk the rest of the way. I want to do something."
You saw your father furrowing his eyebrows. "(Y/n), it's night and you've just gotten out of the hospital. Can it wait until tomorrow?"
"It's someone I know. If they saw the news, they'd be pretty worried about me, right? Please, I just want to let them know that I'm okay."
For a short while, no one spoke.
"Well, it can't be helped. But, we'll wait for you in the car and keep a close eye on you." Your mother showed a fond smile. "You've been a lot more social lately, huh?"
You thanked your parents when they parked the car. Closing the door, you hurried towards the two people.
"Tamashiro-san!" you exclaimed with your usual friendly wave. "How's it going?"
The woman looked at you in both surprise and disbelief. "You seem awfully cheerful for someone who almost got burned alive."
"Ah, so you saw the news then?"
She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. "I'm a tv producer for crying out loud, of course I saw the news," she said. "Oh wait, I never told you my job before. Nevermind."
You glanced over to Shin, the child had a worried expression as he was looking at the cast on your hand.
"...Are you okay?" he asked, eyes on the verge of tears. "What did my mum mean by burn...?"
You showed Shin a reassuring smile. "Don't worry about it. I'm fine now, aren't I?"
"B-but, what if your arm doesn't work anymore?"
"It's not that serious, in a few weeks I'll be good as new!" You placed a hand on your hip and huffed proudly. "I am strong, after all. Nothing will get in my way! Have some faith in your bestfriend!"
"Bestfriend..." Shin mumbled, eyes shining in awe and a heart warming smile graced his youthful features. "Okay! I'll trust you!"
"That's the spirit!"
Tamashiro tapped her son on the shoulder. "Shin, I've already unlocked the door. Head into the house first, I want to speak with (L/n)-san for a bit."
The child's shoulders slouched in disappointment. "Aw...but she just got here."
"I know, I know. But it's almost your bedtime. You need to wake up early to go to the daycare tomorrow."
"Okay..." Shin looked over to you. "You will be here tomorrow, right?"
"Come on now, let's not bother her––"
"I don't see why not," you said. "If your mother allows it, I'll even take you to the daycare everyday."
Shin's onyx eyes glimmered in excitement and a wide smile was on his lips. Turning over to his mother, clasping his hands together and bringing it close to his lips, his expression innocently pleaded for her to give permission.
Tamashiro sighed. There was no way a human could refuse her son's cuteness. "You know what? Sure."
You and Shin looked at each other and both collectively shouted 'yes!' before high fiving each other. Shin had to jump to reach your hand, but with his enthusiasm, that wasn't an issue for him. More than happy with the outcome, he politely bid you and his mother goodnight before heading into the house.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" you asked.
"It's about the media. I am one hundred percent sure that you'll be bombarded by millions of eager news reporters wanting to hear your story on the fire incident when you come back to school. Maybe you'll even be spotted in public," she explained. "Don't say anything rash."
You tensed. The first idea that came to your head was yelling at the camera about how Hayami pushed you into the fire. "Uhm, can you elaborate?"
"I have plenty of experience when it comes to the media. So, of course I know not to take everything the news show to heart. Especially when it comes to involving students with wealthy backgrounds. I'm not asking you to tell me your side of the story, I'm just telling you to be careful. One wrong word can be fatal, even if you're in the right," she said. "There can be strings pulled behind the scenes that are too complex for you."
You were left speechless at her words and needed a minute to gather a response. "Okay, a hypothetical situation. If I were to refute someone like Hayami-san..."
Tamashiro took a moment to recall who you were referring to. "Don't do that. I'll be straightforward here, her family is more powerful than yours and most likely has plenty of connections. Worse case scenario, they'll come for your family to keep your mouth shut."
You clenched your fist and a bitter chuckle left you. "Then, I'm supposed to just let her get away with it?"
The woman raised an eyebrow. "...I'm guessing something bad happened, huh." A long sigh left her lips. "Look, I can pull a few strings here and there as well. I can potentially help you." A hopeful look reflected on your expression. "But, if I know it won't end well, I won't even think twice about rejecting the whole idea immediately."
"I'll keep that in mind."
After that, Tamashiro quickly ran through how to handle answering questions if the media happened to interview you. Her explanations were concise and to the point, she definitely came across as someone credible who had a lot of experience.
"Your parents are waiting in that car, right? You should get going now."
You nodded. "Okay, thanks for the advice."
You waved her goodbye and began running off to the car. Before entering, you shouted out, "Thanks for worrying about me!" You entered the car and shut the door before you heard a response from Tamashiro.
You nodded at your father to start driving and you couldn't help the small smile that made its way to your face as you thought about the series of events that happened after you woke up from the hospital. Though the first half of your day was nothing but stress and frustration, you were grateful for the amount of support and company you do have by your side.
===
"I am so ready to collapse."
Fresh out of the shower, you fell face first into your bed. Rolling over to your back, you sighed out of content and stared at the ceiling. From downstairs, you could hear the muffled voices of your parents as they prepared dinner. Hearing someone's voice other than your own for once in the house was a nice change.
You received news that your school would be closed for the rest of the week due to the incident. The idea of not needing to face Shichirou for a whole week brought a huge wave of relief and happiness. Though, you did have a small concern. You didn't have to attend school for the rest of the week, so what if something happened and you weren't there to stop it?
"There shouldn't be anything, right?" you wondered aloud. "I can't think of anything."
With that thought in the back of your head, you grabbed the new phone your father bought you and began re-adding your contacts to kill time.
Should I give Kashi a call? You thought about it for a moment. I'll call Kai first.
You placed your phone near your ear. Expecting to wait for at least a few seconds, you were surprised when the male picked up the phone right away.
"Wow, that was fast. Did you miss––"
"Why didn't you pick up my calls?!"
You momentarily brought the phone away from your ear at how loud his voice was. Oh man, he sounded mad.
"My old phone died in the fire, this is a new one. I'm surprised how quickly you recognised that it was me. Anyways, I wanted to call you to let you know that I'm still breathing."
You slipped in your usual playful tone to lighten the mood and hopefully show that you were fine and that there wasn't anything the male needed to worry about. When there was a long silence on the other end, you began to feel nervous.
"Why did you have to go and do something so stupid?" He finally spoke, voice leveled and serious––something you were not used to coming from him. "Why didn't you get out of there immediately? Why did you need to stay and help those people? Do you not have half a brain to care about your own safety?"
"Uhm, I..." Your words were lodged in your throat as you hastily thought of a reason. "I acted on impulse."
"Impulse? Don't give me that bullshit. Are you going to tell me that you felt some need to save people or something?"
You flinched at his harsh tone. "No. I just felt an adrenaline rush. It was a suspenseful situation and I acted accordingly to what came to mind. Running away didn't feel right in the moment."
"How did you even end up trapped?"
"Well..." Being honest here, you really didn't want to retell the whole Hayami situation again. "I..."
"You're not going to tell me?" You heard a scoff. "If you did all that to look good for the election, then congratulations, you're the talk of the school now."
"What?" This time, it was your turn to be frustrated. "Kai, that's not it. Don't put words into my mouth."
A short silence suspended from both sides. You didn't mean to let your emotions leak into your words like that, however, your experience back then being dwindled down to something as petty as 'to look good for the crowd' when something much higher was at stake was insulting to you.
"I..." He sighed. "I didn't mean to say that. That was shitty of me, sorry."
At the quick apology, your annoyance settled down just as fast. "Were you worried about me?"
"No shit I was worried."
"Yeah, sorry about that. But, aside from a burn on my arm and a mildly sore throat, I'm doing fine."
"Are you sure? You're not pretending to be tough and all that, are you? Just cry if you need, I don't really care."
"Nope. I'm in a pretty good mood thanks to the support I have around me. Plus, I'm talking to you now."
"Hmph! You should've called me sooner. I would've been able to cheer you up much faster. You know what? I'll prove it to ya. We're meeting up this week."
"Woah, taking me out on a date already? That's bold."
"Idiot. I'm way out of your league."
"Wait, I take offence to that."
Kai laughed. "Get better at basketball first."
"Ugh, can't you choose something else?"
The conversation went on for a bit and the two of you organised a time and place to meet up. You agreed with Kai that the day right before school worked best and he would be the one picking you up in front of your house. You asked what the two of you will be doing, but he mentioned to not worry about it and leave it to him.
"I need to go, my parents are currently blowing their heads off about getting my ass downstairs for dinner. I'll be hanging up now," he said. "Oh and..."
You raised an eyebrow when Kai didn't finish his sentence. "And?"
"..."
"Uh, Kai?"
"lookifyoueverfeeldowndontpretendtobetoughandjustcallmeandcryorwhateveritisthatgirlsdoitcanbelateatnightorwhateverI'llpickupthephoneasoonaspossible."
You blinked. "Sorry, what?"
"Are your ears even working!?"
"You were freaking speaking at 100x speed!"
"Just forget it!"
Kai abruptly hung up the phone and you were left both stunned and immensely confused. After sitting for a good minute or so trying to figure out what he said, you gave up. If it was something important, it's on him. Time to call kashi now, I guess. Being honest here, you were a little nervous at the idea of it. The last interaction you had with him was right before you dropped your phone in the fire.
You entered his number and waited for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Kashi! It's me, (Y/n). I got a new phone," you said. "Just checking in to say that I'm alive."
"(Y/n)?!"
You pulled the phone away from your ear. You were beginning to sense a pattern with the people you called.
"A-ah, sorry. That was loud, wasn't it? I just––I was so worried when you suddenly cut off during the fire. That must've been scary for you, right? Are you okay?"
You paused. "Yeah...I really believed it was the end for me." You laughed. "But! It's okay now. I just got discharged from the hospital and now I'm waiting on dinner. The fire is over, everyone is safe, I came out without any severe injuries. It's all good."
You thought it'd be best to not disclose the incident about Hayami to Kashi, for now at least. You didn't want to dump any more concerns onto the male.
"I saw the news, you stayed back to help everyone, right?"
"I did. I know, it was reckless of me to do so. I should've prioritised my safety as well."
"I'm in no place to scold you for your actions. Though, you did make me worry a lot." A strained chuckle left his lips. "I...I'm sorry I couldn't do anything."
You felt your heart sink in guilt at his apologetic tone. "C'mon, don't be sorry! It turned out fine, right? It's not like it was your fault that I was trapped in there."
"Was it Hayami-san that caused you to be trapped?"
Your eyes widened. Thankfully, Kashi couldn't see your expression right now because the surprise on your face was completely obvious.
"Woah, what's with the sudden name drop?" you asked. Well, more like, how in the hell did you know?
"Oh, did I get it wrong? I figured there would be a connection since she was lying in her interview..."
Right. How could you let that slip past your mind? Kashi was proficient when it came to discerning whether an individual was acting or not. You've already had first hand experience. If you scoffed at how bad Hayami's acting was, then of course Kashi would notice it too.
You sighed, it was inevitable that he would find out. "Nothing gets past you, does it?"
"So I was right. Wait, (Y/n). How did that happen?"
Ah, man. You really didn't want to talk about this. "Long story short, she pushed me into the classroom, closed the door, and the flames trapped me in before I could get out. Sorry, can we talk about this another time? I'm really not in the mood for this."
"...I understand." The male then changed the subject. "Say, since school won't be opened for the week, do you want to hang out?"
Hang out? With Kashi? Willingly? The you from a week ago would've never seen this coming.
"Sure! When and where?"
"Oh, ah. I haven't figured that out yet." He chuckled. "I didn't expect for you to say yes."
"We're friends now, why would I decline? Anyways, looking forward to it. Text me the details, I'm too lazy to organise it myself."
"Noted. I'll let you get your rest now, you've had a long day. Have a nice night, (Y/n)."
"Yup, you too."
You turned off your phone and sighed. That was more tiring than you thought it would be, time for a quick nap––
[ Hey, guess who's back! ]
Oh god, oh no.
[ Oh c'mon, surely you would've missed me by now. Seriously, what do I need to do? ]
"Go away."
[ Not happening ]
You were about to groan out of frustration before a realisation popped into your head. A grin crossed your lips. Lifting your head up briefly, you snatched the pillow underneath your head before slamming it on your face, filling your vision with darkness.
Ah, perfect.
[ Mhm, nice try. You seriously think something that dumb will get rid of me? ]
Holy fuck, it's inside my mind now
[ It?! I have you know that––]
"Ack! Stop invading my head like that! Personal space please!"
You threw the pillow off your face and it phased right through the holographic screen, as expected.
[ Okay, rude ]
"Exactly what I was going for. Anyways, why are you here?"
[ To check up on you, of course~ Honestly, I was super surprised that you didn't call out to me at all back there ]
"I'm already dependent on you as it is since you're the only ticket to getting my memories back. The last thing I need is to become so heavily reliant on you to where I turn to you whenever something bad happens," you said.
[ Haha! I was worried for a second there, you've got a good head on your shoulders. Hey, hey, want a congratulation gift? You did a pretty badass job back there, well, aside from the fact that you almost got burned alive ]
"I have no expectations, go ahead."
[ You're worried about whether something bad might happen during the time school is closed, right? ]
"Well, yeah. But, I guess that issue can be solved by using the chapter information feature to see the future."
[ Don't worry, don't worry~ No need to waste it. I'll tell you now, nothing bad will happen for the time school is closed. So, rest easy! ]
"You're not tricking me, right?"
[ Like I said before, I won't do something that petty. It's way too boring. If I wanted you to fail, I would want it to be entertaining. So, it's all good! ]
[☆⌒(≧▽° ) ]
"What was that."
[ I'm trying to sprinkle in more personality. Being a block of text doesn't exactly capture my charms ]
"Okay, get out now."
[ Fine, fine. Just one last note though, you totally forgot all about the forgotten nostalgia with Tamashiro Yua ]
Forgotten nostalgia? Oh, right. The feature that revealed the relationship between the previous (Y/n) and another individual. Back when you first unlocked the feature, Kashi's name came as a surprise to you to and Tamashiro's one got completely overshadowed.
"Not now, don't really feel like fainting again."
[ Not to worry, not to worry! This one isn't as hefty as the idol's. It'll just show the information in a block of text. Not as exciting, but a lot easier on your body. Anyways, your technically-not-really mother is coming now so I'll be leaving. Don't miss me too much! ]
As soon as you finished reading the last line, the screen disappeared and you heard footsteps approaching your door. You hopped off your bed, guess you'll check out the feature after dinner then. You wondered what kind of connection the previous (Y/n) had with Tamashiro. Hopefully, you can unravel more about the previous (Y/n) and the life she lived.
There was a knock on the door. It opened and revealed your mother.
"(Y/n), dinner is ready––why is your pillow on the ground?"
Oh, right.
"I can explain."
A/n: Writing Seiji and (Y/n) interactions gives me serotonin
