Kashi almost collapsed from exhaustion when he leaned down to pick up his water bottle. He took a sip; due how hot his body was from practice, the slightly cool water felt like the coldest thing he ever encountered.

The idol used a towel to wipe off the sweat that accumulated from hours of dancing. Even now that he was taking a break, the choreography was burned into his mind. Kashi glanced outside the large window in an attempt to give his head a moment to breathe.

It's dark outside...

He frowned. He'd probably have to skip dinner with his parents again.

"I am so close to dropping dead from exhaustion. We're being worked to the bone here!"

It was a miracle that Kashi held back an annoyed sigh as he glanced over his shoulder. Right. He wasn't alone in the room. Genji was here as well. The redhead sat down on the floor of the dance studio, legs crossed. He typed away on his phone, not even bothering to turn off the sound of the keyboard, texting who knows how many girls.

Texting... Should I text (Y/n)?

Kashi's expression lit up at the thought of you and all the energy that was sapped away from dancing came back to him. The idol eagerly reached out for his phone on the floor and unlocked it. As his finger hovered over your name, Genji showed up beside him.

"Oh? Texting your crush?" Genji laughed, leaning onto Kashi––much to his annoyance. "C'mon, confess already. Why the hold up?"

"And I should tell you because...?"

"I'm nosey," Genji responded. Kashi wondered if the guy had any shame. "Wait! Don't tell me, did she reject you?"

Genji laughed loudly. Anyone would've thought Kashi had told him the most hilarious joke in existence. Kashi remained silent, not bothering to hide his unamused look. Genji's laughter died down as quickly as it came.

"Wait, seriously!?"

"No need to be so dramatic, even idols get rejected."

Genji still seemed to be in shock. Kashi suppose there was one benefit of getting rejected. Seeing this kind of expression from the redhead was entertaining.

"Sheesh, she's definitely changed," Genji mumbled. "Good for her."

"Good for her? Was rejecting me a good idea?"

"Dude, no. You're a massive catch. What I meant is that––good for her, she's able to reject someone now."

That didn't clear anything up, but it did pique Kashi's interest. "What was she like when you two dated?"

"Shy, meek, didn't stand out too much."

She did seem pretty timid when I met her as a child. "Why did you date her?"

"I mean, I dated everyone. She happened to be one of those people."

Kashi withheld the urge to narrow his eyes. Talking about dating you so lightly annoyed him.

"I wonder how she changed so much. Her personality definitely did a 180––"

"Why did you two break up?"

Genji paused, and Kashi's eyes widened. Huh, he was seeing a lot of different expressions from Genji today. Before it was genuine shock, now it was a serious expression. Though, the redhead tried to hide it quickly. Anyone could've missed it. Unfortunately for him, Kashi didn't.

"I can tell you all about it in great detail." Genji grinned. "Interested?"

You were lying down on the couch with your phone held above your face. What were you doing? Scrolling through pictures of Kai and Himari that you took at school. Some of the photos were unfamiliar; Kai had stolen your phone and took selfies. Not that you were complaining. Some were genuinely good (and he wasn't even trying) whilst others were hilarious blurry shots of parts of his face.

There was a knock on the door and you almost dropped your phone on your face. You sat up from the couch and shouted hold on a sec! before scrambling to the door. When you opened it, you saw a familiar idol with blue hair.

"Kashi! Welcome, welcome––woah, your hair is down today?"

Yes, Kashi was over at your house. How did this happen? Yesterday, you were on a call with Kashi and your mother happened to be there. She barged into the conversation and eagerly invited him over. Unfortunately for your mother, she realised that she and your father had work on the day she invited Kashi.

Hence, you were here with Kashi alone in your house. Who would've thought this day would come. If this was day one when you first transmigrated here, you would've assumed he'd murder you in your house.

"Mhm! I was running late and didn't have time to do my hair." He extended an arm. "Here, this is for you!"

Kashi handed you a paper bag. You peeked inside it immediately while Kashi shyly averted his gaze.

"Oh!" It was a box of pastries. "Did you make this? Was that why you were running late?"

"Y-yeah. Baking is a lot harder than I thought. Things got messy. I hope it tastes alright."

You welcomed Kashi into your house and put the pastries in the counter. Well, not before taking one to eat for yourself.

"How is it?" Kashi asked.

"Was this your first time?"

"Yup!"

"Did you get any help?"

"Does the internet count?"

Damn.

"Can you take over my family business instead of me?"

Kashi beamed. "I take it that you like them?"

"Wait, lemme humble you a bit. They're nothing compared to the pastries my parents make. But they're still really good."

"That's good enough for me!"

You laughed. "Anyways, my parents should be back for dinner. You'll be joining us, right?"

"Of course! I was a little nervous that we'll be home alone together."

"Well, my mum did mention something about protection."

"P-protection?"

"Yeah, you know. In case someone breaks in and we need to fend for ourselves."

Kashi sighed in relief. "That's what you meant."

"Oh, no. I was joking. Whatever was your first thought was correct."

Kashi looked at you with wide eyes, almost as if he couldn't believe what you had said. Okay, you should stop teasing him.

"Anyways, let's go to my room."

"Y-your room?"

Stop teasing him later, was what you meant.

"What? You shy?"

Kashi meekly nodded.

"So cute," you said. "Oh, whoops. Didn't mean to say that out loud."

"Cute..." He mumbled, following behind you like a puppy. "Is cute all I am to you?"

"What else do you want me to call you? Handsome, sexy––"

"Cute works!" Kashi exclaimed, face flushed. "It works really well. Super well, haha...

You laughed as you opened the door to your room. Kashi stiffly entered, and you gestured for him to sit in front of your desk. His hands were on his lap and his back was straight; no matter how nervous he was, his smile was always there.

"You have a lot of plushies," Kashi commented, glancing over to your bed. Then, his eyes lit up. "You have a cat plush?"

Pft, of course that caught his attention. "Oh, yeah. Himari and Kai won them for me. Cute, right?"

"I thought I was the cute one."

"You're competing against an adorable plush. Know your place."

Kashi laughed. "Sorry, sorry."

You fell backwards onto the bed and Kashi chuckled at your antics.

"Anyways. Your concert is only a few days away now," you said. I'm nervous. "Exciting."

"Yeah, I've been practising like crazy." Kashi sighed, leaning an elbow against the desk. "And I have to see Genji-san too often for comfort."

"My condolences."

Genji, huh. You should get some hints on Kashi's feelings towards him. The obvious question is: why would Kashi murder him? The quick answer was because of Genji's status as your ex. However, there had to be more. Simply being your ex was not enough of a catalyst for murder.

Hah... Here I am supposed to be having fun with Kashi and yet my mind is riddled with the game. Oh well, I have to be on guard. Can't afford to fail.

You sat up. "How do you feel about him?"

"Hm?" If Kashi was caught off guard by the question, his expression didn't show it. "Genji-san? To be honest, I don't really like him that much as a person."

"Understandable. Wanna tell me why? I also hate him and I feel like gossiping."

Kashi laughed. "Well, his personality isn't the most charming. And he..." For a moment, you swore his expression became dark. "Doesn't treat people very well sometimes. (Y/n), can I ask something personal?"

"What is it?"

"Why did you get into a relationship with him in the first place?"

That's more personal to the past (Y/n), not me.

It wasn't like you didn't expect this question. You prepared an answer by interfering from when you viewed the previous (Y/n)'s past. Hopefully, it seemed legit enough for Kashi.

"I was a lot more vulnerable back then," you said. "I guess that made me oblivious to any red flags. Genji-san probably saw me as an easy target and dated me for the heck of it while I took his loving words seriously."

"Oh..."

Kashi didn't hide the look of disdain on his face. You tensed at his expression. Should you have not told him? Did you accidentally give him more of an incentive to murder Genji?

No, this was the best response. If I frame Genji in a positive light, Kashi would be suspicious of me.

"But I'm fine now. Mostly." You smiled. "No need to get worked up about it. We broke up and now I'm here."

"Okay..." Kashi mumbled.

You wondered if Kashi knew more than he led on. Genji never seemed to shut up, so you wouldn't put it past him to say a few things here and there about 'your' dating history with him to Kashi.

"Hey, what's with that expression," you teased. The atmosphere was heavy and you were desperate to lighten it. "Are you getting angry on my behalf?"

"Yes." Kashi pouted. "If you hate him, then I hate him as well."

"Pft, wow. Copycat."

"I love cats!" Kashi seemed to have totally forgotten the conversation topic for a moment. "Wait, that's not the point."

All the tension built up disappeared instantly. You couldn't help but double over in laughter. Kashi flushed in embarrassment, but he seemed bashfully happy that you were laughing. Unbeknownst to you, Kashi had the most loving gaze on you.

"S-sorry." You wiped away a stray tear. "Your response was just so unique."

With a sigh, you flopped back onto your bed and stared at the ceiling. You weren't getting as many answers as you hoped. Time for a different approach.

"You know, recently, I've been remembering my past with Genji-san more vividly." By accessing the previous (Y/n)'s memories. "And I've been feeling anxious."

A part of you wanted to shut up right then and there. Even if it wasn't your past, you didn't like sharing any means of vulnerability. There's also the fact that you were risking Kashi hating Genji even further.

"Anxious?"

You sat up from the bed. Kashi was good at discerning whether someone was lying or not. However, that good intuition of his weakens when you're open to him––when you express your emotions. So, all you needed to do now was blend in some truth and lies.

"Because I don't know what will happen in the future. What kind of encounters would I have with him?" How would he get murdered by your hands? "Yes, I am trying to move from the past. But I can't ignore his existence entirely. I hate that feeling.

Though Kashi would interpret your words differently, those words at least came from your heart.

"(Y/n)..."

Kashi's eyes widened a little, a sad expression on his pretty features. His arms were raised slightly, it looked like he wanted to offer you a hug, but he went against his decision. Instead, he remained on his seat and listened to you attentively.

"Which is why, I want to ask you for a favour."

Kashi tilted his head. "A favour?"

I need to choose my words carefully. Easier said than done.

"I know that you care about me a lot, and seeing me around Genji might concern you. But––"

"Ah, that's what I don't get."

You blinked, surprised at the fact that Kashi interrupted you and how bitter his voice sounded. Actually, what surprised you even more was how hurt he looked.

"Sorry?"

Kashi's nails dug into his palms. "He's your ex, he's hurt you in the past––why are you still giving him your attention? Why do you let him hang around you? Why haven't you told him off yet?"

You furrowed your eyebrows. You've never told Kashi what Genji did to you, but it felt like he knew much more than he led on. Did Genji really...?

Suddenly, Kashi stood up and walked over to you. You remained seated on your bed as Kashi drew closer. Your breathing remained steady and your gaze was focused on his actions. You didn't feel fear, just anticipation. What was he planning to do?

Then, catching you off by surprise, he crouched down to your knees. Your eyes widened and your heart stuttered for a moment.

Kashi was flustered as well, but his desperate plea was more evident, "Please, focus on someone who loves you."

...

Oh my god.

Oh my god.

"Kashi." Okay, I didn't stutter. You cleared your throat. "I'm going to be blunt here."

The idol nodded. He looked as docile as a puppy when he looked up at you, patiently waiting for a response. You would take hours and he wouldn't complain.

"See this from my perspective. Genji-san was someone I was attached to. Then, he reentered my life all of a sudden. Of course I would focus on him. It's natural, I can't just force myself to ignore him. Kashi, it doesn't mean I have lingering feelings of romance or I'm unnecessarily wasting my time on him. It just means I need time to recover."

You gauged his expression, Kashi was listening intently and he didn't seem to oppose your words.

"So," you continued. "Yes, you have the right to feel envy, hate––whatever. But do not do anything on my behalf. I can handle it myself. And... don't..."

Don't hurt him. But if you said that, how would Kashi take it?

"And please don't do anything reckless. That's the favour I was asking for."

You waited for Kashi's response, trying to not make your uneasiness apparent. The idol blinked slowly as realisation dawned onto him. Then an apologetic look appeared on his features.

"Ah... What was I thinking." He hung his head low. "I'm sorry, I should've considered your feelings more. I was just... I was jealous. I was jealous that you might still liked him, I was jealous that you were in a relationship with him in the first place."

Kashi's puppy-like sadness made your hand gravitate to him. Before you knew it, you were ruffling his hair. His long blue hair was silky tangled between your fingers.

"As long as you understand."

Kashi smiled against your touch. And dare you say, he even leaned into it as he nuzzled into your palm. A fluttery feeling surfaced in your chest and you pulled your hand away.

"Aren't you bold?" you teased.

"S-sorry." Kashi giggled, standing up. "I just really like your touch."

"I can tell." You tilted your head. Now that you've gotten a closer look at him, you noticed how tired his eyes were. "Hey, are you okay?"

"Well, that didn't come out of the blue," Kashi teased.

"Ah, I just noticed that you look kinda tired." You patted the spot next to you on the bed. "Sit here."

"On the bed?"

"Don't tell me you're getting flustered now after the stunt you pulled before."

"That was in the moment!" Kashi huffed and plopped himself beside you, crossing his arms. "There! See? Perfectly fine."

You thought he looked adorably flustered.

You snickered. "You're so cool for that."

"I know you're teasing me."

You smiled and shrugged. "Caught me, but we're going off topic here. I wanted to say that if you're anxious about the upcoming concert, I can always lend an ear."

Kashi smiled gratefully. "Thank you." He fiddled with his fingers a little, contemplating whether or not he wanted to continue. "Actually, I've been pretty stressed lately."

He continued to list out his worries and you listened. At one point, Kashi ended up leaning against your shoulder and you didn't have the heart to complain.

"Huh. Saying it out loud makes some of my worries feel less of a big deal," he said. "Still, I'm not looking forward to this concert."

"You're afraid that you'll mess up, right? I know you've been practising hard. Messing up once can be detrimental despite your success up until now."

I've been through a fair share of difficulties and one slip up can mean failure in this game.

And a key portion of your fate lied within Kashi's hands as well.

"Yeah, that's exactly it! Well, part of it." Kashi sighed. "What if people make bad comments right in front of me? That'll throw me off. I have been getting better though! Stuff on the internet doesn't affect me as much and I try to not pay too much attention to what people say about me in public. But during a concert? That's hard."

He got off your shoulder.

"You will be there to support me, right?" Kashi smiled. "I didn't tell you this, but during the event where your parents collaborated with Shichirou-san's I became extremely stressed. When I decided to focus on you, I calmed down. Singing became enjoyable and I had fun. So, it'll be pretty great if you cheered me on. Oh! You don't have to buy glow sticks and stuff, just knowing that you're there for me is good enough."

Kashi looked at you with the most earnest expression you've ever seen in your life. Any good friend would say yes without any bit of doubt, but clearly it was different for your case.

How awful, he's pouring his heart out to me and yet I'm...

"Yeah." You swallowed any remnants of apprehension that may linger on your words. "I'll be cheering you on."

I'll make sure you don't hurt anyone. I'll do my best so that the concert goes smoothly.

Kashi brightened up and suddenly enveloped you in a hug. "Thank you!"

You almost fell onto the bed at the sudden force, but you managed to keep yourself stable. You hugged Kashi back and he squeezed you tighter.

"I'm really grateful you're here," he mumbled, nuzzling his face into your neck. You could feel your skin warm up at that. "I'll be sure to sing for you."

"This is a long ass list."

You stared at the words on your phone with immense exhaustion. You knew it was suspicious when your father handed you so much money. Did your parents always buy this much when they go grocery shopping? Damn. Maybe you should've called Kai to help you out. You were in dire need of his muscles.

This is what happens when you decide to be a good daughter.

You grabbed a shopping cart and got to work. First on the list was... a bunch of fruit. Aight, seemed easy enough.

When you went over to the fruit aisle and saw a hooded figure holding a plastic bag filled to the brim with apples. You could not help but shoot a judgmental stare.

Who the hell is buying so many apples?

Silently holding a petty grudge because they were stealing all the good apples, you tried to catch a glimpse of their face. The moment you did and saw who it was, you backed away.

You know what, I'll get the apples later.

"Running away from me already? At least say hi."

"Fuck."

"Wow." The individual pulled down their mask. Not like they needed to. Behind his glasses, seeing his rose pink eyes crinkle in amusement was a dead give away to who it was; Genji. "You're honest."

Your eyes flickered to the copious amounts of apples in the bag. "Why."

"I like apples." He shrugged. "Matches the colour of my hair."

You were about to turn your back and walk away, but decided to quickly use your feature and check Genji's status. Maybe, just maybe, your conversation with Kashi changed––

"Ugh, still red."

Seems like your talk with Kashi didn't magically solve everything. Genji was still outlined in red.

"Hm? Of course, my hair is always red."

"That wasn't what I meant."

"Then what––"

"Okay, bye now."

Genji put up his mask and rushed to your side. Must be tough being a celebrity. The dude was lucky that it was a relatively cool day or else he'd collapse from a heat stroke wearing that stuffy hoodie.

"Let me accompany you."

"Do you want me to slap you a second time?"

"Do you want to cause a scene?"

"My sense of rationale disappears when I see your face."

You sped up ahead with the intent to leave Genji in the dust, and whipped out your phone to check your grocery list.

"Ohhh, that's a long list. Let me help out." When the hell did he get here. "Things will get done much quicker."

"I don't need it."

"Okay." Genji suddenly placed his apples in your shopping cart. "I'll just follow you around."

You gaped at him. Does this dude have no shame?

You were about to throw his apples out of the cart, but managed to find the self restraint to not do that. It would be a good idea to talk to him a little and get some information on his relationship with Kashi.

The things I put up with for this damn game.

You took a deep breath and gathered the little remnants of patience you have left (which wasn't much).

"Fine, you can tag along. On one condition. Let me buy at least half of the apples you have there."

"That's fine with me~"

Genji hummed happily as he tagged along. You hated to admit, but his humming was very good. And the moment you heard whispers from elderly women commenting how you two looked like a couple shopping together, you regretted this decision.

And there was also the fact that he was actually somewhat helpful in helping you go down the grocery list.

"Oh, there's usually a sale for that sauce," Genji said. "How soon do you need it? Try coming back tomorrow."

"I guess I can stop by on the way from school. By the way––"

Wait, this wasn't the reason why you let him tag along.

Frick, he roped me in. That snake.

"Hm? What's up?"

"Nevermind."

"Aw, c'mon. Now I'm curious."

"Even if it's a personal question?"

Genji raised an eyebrow. "Makes things dramatic."

"How close are you to Kashi?"

"Wow, jumping straight into it." Genji chuckled. "We're not super close. I tried, though. Texting, calling, inviting him out. All of that was in vain, though. We never get past more than just semi-close coworkers."

"Have you..." You remembered Kashi's frustrations when you asked him to not intervene between you and Genji. "... Ever said anything personal to him regarding me?"

Genji paused for a moment. "I told him our entire past. That included the bullying, the cheating––everything."

"You what?!"

You earned a few surprised looks from your outburst, but that was the last thing on your mind at the moment. Great, that gave Kashi more reasons to murder Genji. Splendid. No wonder Kashi was frustrated before. On top of the stress for the upcoming concert, he knew so much about what Genji did to you.

"Why did you do that?"

"Well, it's the truth, right?"

With how lightly Genji was taking this, anyone would assume that he just told Kashi an embarrassing childhood memory as opposed to a literal traumatic past. You pinched the bridge of your nose. What the hell was this guy thinking?

"So, you're aware that what you did to me was wrong."

"I am," he said. "And I'm not going to apologise. It won't change what I did. There's also the fact that you never once wanted an apology."

"I didn't?"

Those words slipped out before you realised.

Genji nodded. "You never once confronted me, you never once told me off. No matter what I did, you remained silent."

You narrowed your eyes. "Are you trying to victim blame me right now?"

"I'm not. I just wanted to share my thoughts. Hate me, report me––whatever. I just want to let you know what I was feeling to clear up any misunderstandings."

There was something about the way Genji delivered his words that made you want to upper cut him. The contents were reasonable enough, but his tone irked you; it came across as insincere. You were about snap at him, but held your tongue. Information was your goal, not a fight.

"Fine. Continue."

Though it was obvious how annoyed you sounded, Genji sent you a grateful look nonetheless.

"You didn't care what I did as long as I stuck by you. You never once stood up for yourself. It kind of annoyed me at some point."

You scowled at him. "Just because I never confronted you it doesn't mean your actions were okay."

"I know. Like I said before, I'm just explaining the reasoning behind my actions."

"You––"

"You should've said something back," Genji spoke up. "It's not like the girls are that scary. A little insult or two here and there won't hurt."

"S-sorry, it's just... I find it hard to do that."

"Ohh, is it because they're influential and what not? It's fine, just insult them however you want. I'll deal with the aftermath."

You shook your head and showed him a soft smile. "There's no need for that, you'll come save me anyway."

Genji was quiet for a moment. "I won't always be here, you know. Seriously."

"I––"

"You can't always rely on others."

Now that you thought about it, his words made sense. The previous (Y/n) was very reclusive. You only got a snippet of their dynamic, and it wasn't like Genji was in the clear, but he wasn't a complete asshole. The previous (Y/n) had some dependency issues.

"You could've worded that a little better," you finally said. You were surprised that Genji had waited until you finished your sentence.

"It's not like I had time to prepare an essay and edit my words so that they'll come across perfectly."

Fair enough, but I hate his attitude.

"Why did you stay with me, then? You could just break up."

"I guess it was because there was no reason to break up. You let me do whatever I wanted and sometimes hanging out with you was fun." Genji sighed. "And a part of me hoped I was able to help you gain some confidence."

Huh. That last part was a surprise.

"By letting others bully me?"

"Look, I know that was a shitty move. It's just––I always helped you, but that only made you depend on me. You became clingy... very clingy. I didn't know how to handle it. Actually..."

"Actually?"

He shook his head. "Never mind."

"Hey, what happened to telling me all your thoughts so that there was no misunderstandings?"

Genji chuckled. "Got me there." He was silent for a moment. "Whenever I brought up the topic of breaking up... sometimes your expression... Hm, how do I word this? It... made me nervous."

Nervous?

You paused and considered things from his perspective for a moment. A soft spoken girl who is unable to stand up for herself. She keeps clingy to you, depending on you.

Hm... Not everyone knows how to handle that kind of person.

You took Genji's words with a grain of salt, of course. You still sided with the previous (Y/n), but there was a bigger story behind the 'a boy takes advantage of a girl's meek nature and hurts her'. You were sure Genji had his fair share of a tragic backstory to explain his actions. You didn't care enough to dig. You had enough people to deal with and you can only handle so much emotional baggage.

"In the end I broke off our relationship," Genji said. "You didn't take it very well and you didn't show up on the last day of school. It was towards the spring holidays."

That was almost around the time you transmigrated. The day you took the previous (Y/n)'s position in this world. A part of you felt guilty. The more you learnt about her, the more human she felt to you. And the more you realise that you took away someone's life to live.

"You've changed a lot, though. I dunno what happened, but good for you. Not a masochist, but I was relieved when you slapped me the other day."

"You literally gave me every reason to."

"I know."

You furrowed your eyebrows. "Was that some stupid test to see if I would stand up for myself?"

Genji chuckled weakly. "How mad at me would you be if I said yes?"

Your hand gripped the handle of the shopping cart tightly. "For your sake, I won't think about it anymore."

There was a moment of silence between you two. Genji looked like he had more to say, so you quietly went down the shopping list and crossed off the items as you waited for him to collect his words. A few minutes passed and no words were exchanged.

"I have a question," you said.

"What is it?"

"Why do you still hang around me? It's clear as day that I don't enjoy your presence––and that's putting it nicely."

Genji played with the strings of his hoodie, twirling it around his finger. "This is gonna sound stupid, but it was because... It feels incomplete. I didn't suffer any consequences and you didn't get any explanations. Leaving it off just like that felt wrong," he explained. "But now that we had this conversation, I'll stop bothering you now."

Genji looked serious this time. It didn't cause you to feel any sense of forgiveness towards him, but you did respect the fact that he was willing to talk and admit to his faults. You just wished the previous (Y/n) could've had this conversation instead of you.

"Not yet."

Genji fluttered his eyes in surprise. "Huh?"

"I said not yet. Do it after we graduate."

I kinda need to prevent your death.

You got to witness a rare sight of Genji being completely speechless. "Can I get an explanation?"

"No, but my reasons are very valid."

"You know what, fair enough." He smiled. "This talk went smoother than I thought. To be honest, I feel like I'm talking to a completely different person. Who knew people could change so much."

Right...

You thought Genji would finally leave you after that, but he still hung around you. Well, you were almost done with the grocery list anyway. No need to waste your energy kicking him out.

"Oh? People are talking about the concert," Genji commented. Though he was wearing a mask, you could see the grin on his lips. "I wonder what would happen if I remove my hoodie."

"Don't." You groaned. "If you cause more trouble for me, you'll be missing a few bones for the concert. Are you even nervous for it?"

"Nope! If anything, I'm hella pumped."

"What if you mess up?"

"So what?" He shrugged. "What's the point of worrying about useless stuff like that?"

Completely different from Kashi, huh?

"Anyways, I'm done with my shopping." You gave Genji his apples. "Now leave me alone."

"Can you carry all of that?"

"You felt it in my slap, right? My strength is decent."

"You really love referring back to that."

"It's a calming memory."

"I'm glad?" Genji laughed.

Then, he went quiet for a moment. It was kind of awkward, so you ended up staring at a bunch of oranges nearby.

"It was nice hanging out with you again," he finally said.

"What?"

"Whoops, shouldn't have said that." He chuckled and turned around to leave. "I'll see you at the concert."

You watched as Genji went ahead to pay for his apples.

The concert...

Depending on how the night goes, that may be his last.

A/n: ngl Kashi and Genji could've been a good ship/had their own story together. Like they're both idols, their appearances are polar opposites, personalities mesh well, and their way of thinking towards their idol career is the opposite. I didn't even realise it until now what the
