"What are you even talking about!," I yell out loud to my dad. "You're acting as if I'm five years old!"
"Well then stop acting like you are! All I said was that I'm not on board for you moving further away!," my dad (Marcus) says back to me in a raised voice while stuffing a sonic chilli dog in his mouth.
"Marcus chew with your damn mouth close," Mike says disgusted. "And Y/N, I agree with your Dad, you got a good thing going on, you're in school, you have a nice paying job, why move?," Mike continues. Some days you wish Mike would just stick to his own problems.
"Because! I'm an adult who wants to see the world and not be trapped here because of school," I defend.
"That's what you signed up for, school is like signing your life away. And I'm not about to let you give up on your education," Marcus explains
"Oh my gosh, I'm not signing my education away Dad. It's just a little trip around the world and exploring places I want to live. I can always finish my education in a different state." I'm starting to get annoyed with him because I always explain this to him and he never listens.
"Well it's a no. Alright? Sayanora. That means no," Marcus barks and goes back to his food.
"First, it's sayonara and second, it means goodbye..." Mike says while looking over to Marcus with a concerned look as to why he didn't possibly know that. "And Y/N, i think you got your brains from your mother," He continues.
You just laugh at him and let your eyes travel getting lost in deep thought.
"Well, thank you for planning my entire life out Father Dearest." I retort with a scoff. I've talked to my mom about the idea and she wasn't opposed to it. My dad just hates to see me grow up and I'm over it.
"Now what did I say about calling me that," He says looking up with a chilli on his chin.
"I have paper work that I still need to file in those medical reports for the prisoners. One has the flu," I tell them while getting up to throw away my food in the nearest bin.
Mike and Marcus look up at me and notice that my facial expressions were off.
"It was good having dinner with you guys but I should be on my way. I want to go ahead and finish my work so I can get to the store and buy snacks for me and Kelly's movie night." I explain to the men. Mike gets up to throw away his trash while my dad is still knawing away.
"Movie night?? Without the rest of the crew??," Marcus says between bites.
"I DONT want my dad to be at a girls only movie night. Rita may even come," I tell the two with a smirk as we all walk over to our cars.
"Well then expect us to be there! Mi casa es tu casa," Marcus says with the absolute worst pronunciation ever.
"How is your Spanish so awful? Plus, it's not YOUR house, it's your daughters Marcus. Therefore... we're invited automatically." Mike says while quickly grabbing Marcus and running into the car.
"They can't be serious," I get inside my car and roll my eyes at the men's antics while driving back to work. I have lots of paper work that won't do itself.
-The car ride was peaceful and smooth sailing. I had music playing in the background from my playlist on shuffle whilst taking left and right turns until I got to my destination. Once I got out my car while locking it, I walked towards the door and into the elevator clicking the third floor. The elevator lets out a quiet ding and I head onto my floor walking towards my office. I open my laptop and get my paperwork starting my job- —————————————————————————— "Finally, I'm done," I say to myself. Work overload is no joke. I print out my forms and paper work and turn it in to the front desk lady. "Have a great day!" I tell her as I walk off to the elevator and to the lobby. I spot my car and get inside. My phone dings. ——— Tech Nerd😝: Ordered us wings!! We should for sure bake something tonight.
-Before driving I text back-
Y/N: Yessss Y/N: I had our snacks delivered so if you get to my apartment before me, go ahead and take them inside
Tech Nerd😝: Sounds good ——— After a good fifteen minute drive, I soon make it home and walk up the stairs to my apartment. I picked up the bag of candy that was delivered and unlock my door. I was immediately met by my orange cat "queso" who ran towards me hanging onto my pants.
"Hi cutie pie!" I say in a baby voice to queso. He stretches out in my arms and meows back as if he understands me. I admired Queso's orange and white fur and how he starts to hold onto my shirt nuzzling into my neck. I continue to babble to him to then place him down and feed him his food knowing he was hungry. I work so much I barely can even play with him.
I walk over to my bathroom to take a shower before Kelly came over. I got my matching pajamas ready that Kelly and I bought together and then hopped inside the shower after placing my bonnet on over my hair. ———
