[The Past] _______________________________________

You stared at the couple that sat in front of you with a stern expression on your face. Almost every day, when you would walk into school, you would be met with a couple flirting and touching each other.

The students.

The teachers.

Hell, even the kids you think will never get a relationship had someone.

You were jealous. Almost everyone has experienced some love in their life while you were over here being single your whole life.

You haven't had someone crush on you, never had any romantic experience and you never had a boy OR girl be romantic with you.

It was frustrating.

You were 14 in 8th grade, and in a few months, you would be in high school. At this point you were considering that love just wasn't for you.

"Y/N stop staring at them, they are going to think you're judging them"

You turned around to see your friend Mina looking down at you with a small smile on her face. She sat down next to you with her lunch and asked if you wanted some, which you declined.

Seeing this couple made you lose your appetite.

"Y/N, you have to eat," Mina said while handing you her bag of chips. "If you don't, then you're going to bother me talking about being hungry," She teased.

You playfully rolled your eyes and thanked her. "Sorry, Mina, it's just I can't eat while this disgusting scene is in front of me," You groaned.

Mina looked "What? The boy with his asscrack out?" She questioned.

"What? No!" You exclaimed with a disgusted look on your face. "Girl, I'm talking about that couple you were just talking about," You stated.

"Oh them.." Mina mumbled, "Y/N, they are not disgusting," Mina huffed as she gave you a slight hit on your arm.

"Yes, they are, Mina; almost every day, they hug and kiss each other," You argued.

"Y/N, they are a couple. That's what they are supposed to do," Mina simply said.

You let out a small whine. "I know, I just don't want them to do it in front of me. They keep reminding me of how terrible my love life is," You cried.

Mina placed her hand on your shoulder and gave you a small smile. "Y/N, we are going to be freshmen next year; I honestly think you should focus less on love life right now and worry about it when we are in high school," Mina suggested.

You sighed and nodded your head, Mina was right. Worrying about love and relationships right now would just make you go crazier than you already were.

"Y/N, you better hurry up and eat lunch is almost over," Mina stated.

You mumbled something under your breath, quickly opened the bag of chips, and started to chow down while continuing to glare at the couple.

Almost three months had passed, and school was finally over. You and Mina were freshmen, and in three more months, the two of you would be entering high school together.

Those whole last three months of school, you still didn't have a single romantic experience. Nobody came up to you confessing their love for you, you didn't gain a crush on someone, and worst of all, there were still couples all around you.

You lay on your bed with a sad expression on your face as you stared at the No Notifications on your screen.

Mina was busy working with her father, which meant you had no friends to talk to or hang out with.

You sat up and decided that you would just go on a walk. It would be better than just bed rotting all day and you get some exercise at the same time.

You put on some different clothes, grabbed your headphones and phone, and walked out of the house immediately getting to your walk.

As you walked outside, you got a loud ding on your phone, making a small smile appear on your face. You looked down at your phone to see that you had gotten a text message from Mina.

Mina Baby (〃´ー｀人´ー｀〃) Sorry Y/N! My dad has been making me take care of the animals all day but I'm finished now :)

Me It's okay, I'm just glad you're getting a break. I know your dad likes to overwork you.

Mina Baby (〃´ー｀人´ー｀〃) Yeah, it's annoying, but at least I get paid, right?

Mina Baby (〃´ー｀人´ー｀〃) But anyway, what are you doing right now?

Me I'm just going on a walk, I have nothing to do and I have no one to talk to you besides you

Me Of course, you are! It's just that when you go and work I'm so lonely (ToT)

You let out a small chuckle at Mina's text and continued to look for talking apps. As you scrolled through your phone, you bumped into a hard chest, causing you to fall hard on the ground and drop your phone.

"Oh my gosh" You yelled.

"Oh my I am so sorry miss"

You looked up to see a very handsome man standing over you with his hand out. You grab it, and he helps you up with a small smile on his face.

"I am so sorry, miss, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," The man said.

You stayed silent as you stared at the very cute man. He let out an awkward chuckle and bent down to grab your phone, handing it to you.

"Um, are you new around here?" You finally spoke, realizing that you had never seen this man in your neighborhood before.

"Oh no, I don't live here; one of my friends just moved down the street, and I was helping him move in," The man replied.

"Oh okay," You said with a small smile.

Both you and the man stood there for a second before holding his hand out. "I'm Jun, what'd your name?" He asked.

"My name is Y/N" You quickly said as you grabbed his hand. Your heart jumped as your warm hands met his cold ones. This handsome man was talking to you and you were already creating scenarios in your head about him.

"You know, Y/N, you're really beautiful; I can't believe I have never seen you before," Jun says as he looks you up and down.

"T-Thank you" You exclaimed.

This was the first time in years a man has ever completed you. You found yourself falling for the man.

"You know you're handsome yourself," You replied, causing Jun to laugh. He thanked you and asked if you lived in this neighborhood making you nod your head.

"Yes, I live in the white house right there," You tell him while pointing towards your house.

"Wow, so you're not even far from my friend," He states. "That means we'll be seeing each other more often," He said with a smile.

You let out a small chuckle. "Yeah, but I'm not complaining....you seem like a nice person to be friends with," You said.

Jun stared at you for a second, then placed his hand on your shoulder. "Do you wanna be friends?" He asked.

Without thinking, you quickly nodded your head yes. "Of course! I would love to be your friend." You laughed.

"Great, if you don't mind me asking how old are you?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm 14, but I turn 15 in three months,s," You responded with a slight frown, scared that your age would make the man run away. "How old are you" You questioned.

"I'm 19" He states.

"Can we still be friends?" You asked hoping the man would say yes.

"Of course, Y/N, I'm not gonna drop you before you're younger than me," Jun chuckles. "I have friends that are older than me by like 10 years," He said.

You let out a nervous laugh. "Yeah, sorry," You mumbled.

"I mean, we are only friends, and you are only 5 years younger than m,e," He says.

"Yeah, it's not like I'm 4 years old," You said.

"Yeah, If you were then that would be weird," He joked, causing you to laugh.

"Well, I have to go; my friends are gonna think I ditched them," Jun announced.

"Oh yeah, you can go; I don't wanna make your friends worry about you," You replied with a sad tone, not wanting Jun to leave you right now.

"Before I leave can we switch numbers? I would like to keep in contact with you," Jun asked.

You smiled and let out a yes before handing the man your phone.

When Jun is finished putting his number in your phone, the two of you exchange goodbyes and quickly walk away.

You smiled down at your phone happy that you finally might have a chance of being loved.

After that day the two of you would text and chat to each other almost every night. The two of you would spend hours on the phone talking about nonsense and stupid things that weren't even relevant.

You and Jun became like two peas in a pod. Every time he came down to your neighborhood, he would take you out and spoil you, buying almost everything you wanted, saying, "We're friends; that's what we do".

You never questioned anything, you were just happy that you made another friend and that this friend was being so nice and lovely to you.

When school started back up, and you were finally in high school, Jun took you on a shopping spree and brought you a bunch of school clothes, saying, "I need to make sure my girl looks good at school".

After this moment you found yourself having a crush on him. It was embarrassing, every time you were around him, you would find yourself becoming squeamish and more smiley than usual.

You went to Mina about it and told her everything, but she just told you, "Y/N that Jun dude is a weirdo; why is he hanging out with you when he knows you're 15? You shouldn't have a crush on him, and you shouldn't be hanging out with him".

When Mina would come and scold you for being friends with Mina, you would just ignore her, telling her that the two of you are friends, hiding the fact you had a huge crush on your so-called "friend".

One day after school, Jun asked you to hang out, telling you that he had something really important to tell you, causing anxiety to r.ise i,nside of you. Y,ou didn't .know if Jun wanted to stop being ,friends with, you, or had some bad news of some sort.

You couldn't go to Mina with youand r worries knowing she would just hope that Jun would drop you. So you had deal with this yourself.

When it was time to met up with Jun he had a serious expression on your face which just made your nerves even worse.

"Y/N I have something to tell you and I hope when I tell you we don't stop being friends" He said.

"Jun no matter what you tell me I will always be your friend" You told him with a smile.

Jun smiled at your words and let our a sigh. He grabbed your hands and pulled you closer to him "Y/N I'm just going to come out and say this..I like you and I've liked you ever since we've met each other and I would really appreciate it if you let me be your boyfriend" Jun says quickly.

You stood there for a second shocked that this was happening.

For the first time ever someone was finally confessing their love for you.

You let out a sigh and pulled Jun into a tight hug "Jun I like you too" You said "I've liked you ever since you bumbed into me too" You say with a grin.

"Really?" He asked.

You nodded your head "Yes I'm being serious" You grinned.

Jun let out a sigh of relief and tighten his grip on your body. "Well can I be your boyfriend?" He asked.

"Yes Jun!" You exclaimed.

After that day two of you became even more closer than before. What turned into to hugs turned into kisses, what turned into hangouts turned into staying over.

It was all so exciting for you.

You finally had a boyfriend, someone to love and cherish you.

No could go wrong now.

Jun was the perfect boyfriend for you.
